"With locations in Vinings and downtown Atlanta, Meehan’s is often a gathering spot for soccer fans. There’s almost always a match (sometimes multiple matches) on the televisions at both locations. Meehan’s serves traditional pub fare, too, like Guinness-battered fish and chips or a shepherd’s pie filled with lamb and vegetables. A popular favorite is the Meehan’s burger — a ground steak patty topped with sharp cheddar spread and smoked bacon on an English muffin." - Krista Miller

Google
Great option for late night dining. Laid-back atmosphere, good service and good food. The beer I was looking for was out-of-stock so the bartender offered to make a custom cocktail for me. I have no idea what it was, but it was vodka based and delicious. The brussels with grilled chicken and spicy aioli was incredible, and far beyond standard "bar food".

Google
Great food and great service. They were calling me by name by the end of the brunch. Love that!

Google
Vintage Irish pub vibe with beautiful patio with a fire place. We came for late night drinks. I love their black on black.

Delicious food, great drinks, wonderful atmosphere. Always a great time when we come here!

Great food, great service, and very clean. Great atmosphere

Google
Set out looking for something new for brunch and found it! Food was incredible, especially the brisket Mac & Cheese, the bottomless mimosas were perfect and the atmosphere was laid back. Couldn't have asked for a better Sunday brunch spot!

Google
Great atmosphere, great service, good food and beer. The seating in nice and cushiony. The waitresses help each other out which makes nice service. The Reuben egg rolls were delicious. The grilled chicken Caesar salad was good. Reuben eas good. The fish tacos were ok. Half chicken was good. Draft selection was nice. Whiskey bread pudding was a good ending

We were looking to satisfy a pub food craving and Meehan's delivered. Just a comfortable bar with cool drink concoctions and DELICIOUS food. We just shared starters that were fantastic and so filling. Our eyes were bigger than our stomachs. Highly recommend the gnocchi. OMG sooo good.

Yelp
Arrived at the restaurant at 720pm with my two dogs. They indicated that they were pet friendly. We were told to sit outside in a table area. 20 mins later a waitress came out and told us we had to go to the bar and start a tab, let the bartender know we were outside, and they would send someone to us. I went to the bar, started a tan with a few drinks, gave him my credit card, and went back outside to wait after he told me he would send someone out. 35 mins later, no one came out after I asked one of the other waitresses twice to help us. Found a dog bowl for my dogs to give them some water, but it was nasty with cigarette butts. Another 20 mins passed, I went to the bar, closed out my tab, and we left. No one appeared to even care, especially the bartender. I was from out of town due to 5he weather, we were hungry, and with our dogs we would have easily spent over $100 not including the tip. I left the bartender $5 anyway for the drinks, but I recommend no one ever try this place again. It's confusing to me that when you come to a new place, it's not very busy, and you want to give them money, the staff is apathetic, doesn't care, and doesn't seem to want to help. Really terrible experience. We picked up and order to go at the Cheesecake Factory and spent $125.

Yelp
Customer service lacks severely, misogynistic af, ladies beware. They took my friend's order and money before kicking her and her daughter out for simply asking for service. I'm talking, red-faced screaming at customers who paid $75 to be threatened with calling the police for trespassing, cursed at repeatedly (f-bomb), and even the manager joined in. It's sad to see something that operates in the hospitality industry being so inhospitable. Shame on you.

Tahnita C.

Yelp
Food: Meatloaf I dont think is made vs bought Service: Ok but, I was told the meatloaf was very good, get 3 slices and neither was true Ambience: Neighbors pub I'll try something else here or go for cocktails one day but, don't bother with the meatloaf which had charbroiled lines across each piece and was dry no sauce. Very disappointed esp., after seeing the juicy homemade Yelp pics that made me come here to grab an after work dinner.

Yelp
Great time for lunch today in this Irish's pub. The corned beef sandwich is a must!!! It was delicious and I loved the sauce. And the buffalo chicken wrap was good too. Great old raisins pub food. Love the old decor too!!

Shani H.

Yelp
Awesome food and great service. This is the second location I've tried and it's definitely consistent with the brand.

Alexanria J.

Yelp
Vintage Irish pub vibe with beautiful patio with a fireplace. We came for late night drinks. I love their black on black.

Susie H.

Yelp
This place used to be great. Maybe I was younger or drunk or something. But came here for dinner a little after 6 on a Thursday. Drink menu was very meh. Mostly standard issue light beers. Not a lot of variety and so little on draft. Ordered a delicious chicken BLT sandwich but the plate it was served on left no room to cut it! Give me a plate with some space. The tots were great but it's hard to mess up tots. The music alternated between dance hits and country twang. Makes no sense. Weird crowd in there. Very much a tshirt casual crowd at the bar. Would I go back? Sure. Just not rushing to go back. Nothing was amazing but nothing was bad either.

Katlyn W.

Yelp
Lovely day for a Guinness aye, I had fish tacos and a very fresh side salad. Amazing covered patio space

Heather H.

Yelp
The food is not just standard bar food; specials change regularly and are always a surprise; excellent service especially at the bar. I plan company dinners on the back patio and we keep going back for the food and hospitality. I recommend to anyone for a simple meal, family night or low key company event. Plus the Futball

Pita S.

Yelp
Handhelds were a great choice for lunch. Service was fast and friendly. Recommend the hot Honey chicken sandwich and the Grouper sandwich with the homemade chips.

Melissa S.

Yelp
This is a great Irish bar, nestled in a shopping plaza. Bartenders are friendly, the locals are fun, and they have plenty of seating. It's one of those places where you can go to watch sports, hang out with some friends, or even have a date night.

Madalyn N.

Yelp
Service is great! Came here on Saturday 7/13 around 1pm. All waitresses were attentive and friendly. We sat on the patio where they had fans to keep the air circulated and TVs on for all the games (tennis, soccer, horse racing.. you name it). The food was wonderful as well! Our salad was not over-dressed. They kindly split it in 1/2 without us asking (just mentioning we would be sharing). We will definitely be back!

Shannon S.

Yelp
This is an Irish themed bar with some food, beer and Irish fun. They have a nice patio that seems to be quite a popular spot when the weather is nice. The inside also is a nice space with a great long bar to cozy up to. I tried the fish and chips and they were decent and most of the other food looked good as well. If you are looking for the best happy hours in Atlanta Meehan's Public House has some great daily specials along with bottomless mimosas for Sunday brunch. My video review of Meehan's Public House is here: https://youtu.be/9wuIP60iqCc

Kristopher W.

Yelp
I had a chance to check out Meehan's for a Sunday brunch and I will say that I was impressed. They have a bottomless mimosa option that was very reasonable. The service that we had was great. Our waiter checked in on us frequently. I had a brunch bowl that was a newer item on their menu that our waiter recommended and it was really good.

Bill M.

Yelp
Being an Irish person I was hoping to have a nice meal in st pattys day. This place has gone through the floor. I was served a Shepards pie with some type of potatoes that are unrecognizable as mashed and the gravy was baked on the top and dry to the touch. Also had the texture of a cracker. The filling was bland at best. The worst part was that the manager told me to accept it because they were overtaxed on the holiday. If you want to go to an Irish pub go to Fado, they can at least handle the volume.

Susan S.

Yelp
Was planning on visiting, but after they treated a well known black woman and her daughter like crap, cursed at them and threw them out after taking her money, they don't ever have to worry about getting a dime from me. Especially after the manager jumped in the bandwagon with the rude staff member. Apparently, black females are not welcomed in their establishment. Will make sure none of my BF friends step across their doorstep and I know many that love going out to eat. Disgusting that they are in the customer service arena. I don't care how good your food is, if your staff sucks, so does your establishment

Venessa M.

Yelp
Great neighborhood pub. The drinks are balanced and so good. And I love love love the fish and chips. It's my "you've gotta get this" food when I'm there for more than just drinks. The bartenders are awesome. It's sometimes a bit loud but the atmosphere is full of energy and fun.

David G.

Yelp
The food and vibe are standard for a pub, with lot's of fried items and a casual atmosphere. I also like the variety of shareable options which is great for a crowd, and especially recommend the house made salt and vinegar chips and fried pickles. First time back since pre-covid and service was lacking, an issue I remember from the past. I understand not wanting to split a tab twelve ways for a large group, but splitting it in 2 should be a reasonable request. Waiter also just was not pleasant about just about anything, including ordering more drinks.

Kerry D.

Yelp
Chopped salad: what I expected vs what I got. Enjoy your bag of unwashed coleslaw mix with 4 bits of kale. Would love to chat about this, wasn't able to get a response on Instagram.

Danielle S.

Yelp
We've come here a couple times after hikes/bike rides and it's a great place to spend an afternoon on the patio. Their brunch/lunch menu on weekends has a good selection. The ranchero bowl was a great bowl of roasted potatoes with tomato, avocado, queso, grilled (or fried) chicken and a fried egg. Loved it and the portion was very large. Our waiter today was really friendly and helpful.

Megan O.

Yelp
I stopped here for dinner and drinks on a work trip, and was a very happy camper. The bartender made one of the best old fashioned cocktail I've ever had, and the sandwich on special was next level.

Ada S.

Yelp
I cannot stress enough how nice the employees are!!! They are so accommodating- I made reservations for brunch on Saturday and they set up our table for us, and I made a note that someone in our party is vegan- they went out and bought special vegan food! How amazing is that? Also the food was amazing- stuff French toast was perfect and everyone else said theirs was great. The mimosas were poured with a heavy hand (which we love) and our cups were never empty. They do bottomless mimosas on weekends and we recommend.

Charles M.

Yelp
Came in after attending local graduation that got a late start due to weather. Got there at 11:00 pm, website stated food was serviced until Midnight. These seated us, gave us drink menu and drink menu and then claimed kitchen closed at 10:30 pm. The only positive was the Blanton's was reasonably priced

Meka W.

Yelp
This restaurant has unacceptable service from staff and the Management! My sis a loyal customer for years can't into this restaurant to eat. The waiter got upset when asked does he work there when my sis was trying to get service after waiting there and getting no service. The waiter comes over later saying how they felt disrespected because my sis just a asked a question to get some assistance. The manager then comes over and says infront of her children that they can get the F*** out! UNACCEPTABLE!

Yelp
My college roommate and her husband were in town a few days ago and she chose this place to meet up, since it was halfway between us. I made a reservation for a table on the phone ahead of time as we were meeting on a busy Friday night and had no issues checking in upon arrival. There was also plenty of parking around the pub and the parking lot was pretty well lit which were both plusses. We were seated immediately by a friendly host. Originally we were going to sit outdoors for obvious COVID reasons, but the outdoors area was actually pretty jam-packed so we opted for indoor seating and were pleased that we were all by ourselves. There were only a few people at the bar and we had a table all the way in the back, so no issues with social distancing. My friend and her husband ate ahead of time, so they just ordered some drinks and the lobster bisque. They both said the lobster bisque was really good, so I might have to try that next time. My hubby and I ordered some apps to share as a late dinner. Our reservation was at 9 and the kitchen closes at 10 apparently, so we made it just in time. We tried the Reuben egg rolls and chicken nachos. My love got a Coke and I got the "Nutty Irishman," which I think was Irish cream (like Bailey's or another brand) and hazelnut liqueur if I'm not mistaken. My drink was creamy and tasted good with just the right amount of alcohol. I can't drink as much as I used to due to some meds I'm on, but it was nice to have one drink, since it's few and far between these days. I enjoyed both the appetizers. I would get both again. The only mistake made was that I got a plate full of jalapeños when I asked for none on the nachos, but it was no big deal to pick them off. I'm not allergic or anything - was just trying to avoid the heartburn later. Our waitress was very attentive and even long after we finished eating, drinking, and paid the check, they were good about letting us just stay and chat. There were lots of sports playing on multiple TVs, the Olympics to be specific, and after 10 they cranked up the music to make it more of a true bar atmosphere for a Friday night as opposed to the softer dining experience that preceded it. Overall, it was a solid experience and I have nothing to really complain about. If you're in this area, you should definitely check this pub out for drinks, socializing, watching sports, and some great apps. I probably would come back even though it's a bit out of my way.

Trent W.

Yelp
Food was solid. My fiancés shepherds pie was good. My burger was average. Rueben egg rolls were great. The service is weak. Two servers never introduced themselves and were timely but average. The real issue with service was with bartenders. Waited 30 minutes for a drink. 6 people at the bar with 2 bartenders on. Bartenders seemed more interested in taking care of their friends (not servers) in the service well over bar guests. Probably wouldn't have written this review if the bartender didn't decide to go get and eat a cupcake from a regular instead of refilling our empty drinks that had been there for Atleast 20 minutes. I'd recommend the management go to Lassiters to see how a tavern style restaurant should run.

Georgia B.

Yelp
Ordered fish and chips thru UberEats. Maybe I'm used to the American version of fish and chips, but these were by far the most bland fish and chips I've ever tasted and the slaw did not taste like anything other than mayonnaise and air. I was truly disappointed. Maybe this was a one-off thing. I don't know...but I have no interest in eating anything else from there.

Iris A.

Yelp
Always delicious! This place never disappoints. What I'm telling you to do though, is to go there on the weekend FOR BRUNCH! The buffalo chicken tenders on a bed of grits is genius. And always go there for a good night out! As you can see... lol. Have fun!

Clair H.

Yelp
I get the grouper sandwich at least once a week. I often order to go as they typically have a large happy hour crowd. I'm glad I tried this spot out.

Robert B.

Yelp
I've visited Meehans when I'm in town for business because it is the top rated pub/restaurant near my hotel. I've never been disappointed. I usually have a couple of pints of their pilsner on draft and I order some food. The draft beers are served in a chilled glass which I like. I always order the brussel sprouts and wings. I love the food and it's a low key atmosphere. My server Rihanna recommended I try the grilled wings which in her opinion she liked better than fried. I was a little worried that it would impact the flavor but I was wrong. I will order their Diablo wings grilled from now on. Diablo was pretty hot and I like hot but they have multiple wing sauces to choose from. Rihanna checked on me multiple times. She was busy but quick with a drink and extra napkins. Overall, Meehans has been consistent, food is great and the staff is friendly. I will continue to come back.

Madalyn J.

Yelp
We came here for the first time for a late brunch on Sunday, and it was surprisingly so good! It is very much bar vibes, but the food was all really good. I had no idea they have bottomless mimosas, which is going to be exactly what I come back for next time! We tried the Reuben egg rolls as our waiter suggested and they were sooo good. We split the burger and the French toast and it was all delicious. The burger was definitely different and came on an English muffin, and had some kind of cheese spread vs a slice of cheese, but we both really enjoyed it! The French toast was awesome with the cream cheese stuffed in the middle. They were out of strawberries but we still really enjoyed the French toast. We will definitely be back!

Heidi B.

Yelp
We stopped in around 5pm on a Friday. They had a good happy hour crowd but we got a table for dinner. Service was prompt and attentive. The food was alright. Not the best I've had. We ate Corned Beef spring rolls, truffle Mac and cheese, meatloaf and Shepard's pie. Mac and cheese and Shepard's pie were the best of the lot. Corned beef spring rolls - why?

Deborah P.

Yelp
Great place! Get your Irish on! Love the large porch, dog friendly. You can hear the train. We enjoyed a Reuben sandwich, which we split, which, and it was delicious. We also ordered the chips which are made fresh daily, which are great with vinegar. We were there for lunch so we didn't grab a beer but they were getting ready for St. Patrick's Day. Fun place good food great service we'd go again.

Alexandra B.

Yelp
Decided to venture to Meehan's for St.Paddy's while in Atlanta, fully prepared for the craziness the holiday brings to any Irish Pub! There was a great tent set up and extension of a second bar on the patio. We enjoyed a couple beers while waiting on our table. The hosts were ON IT keeping tabla on tables and those waiting. We got a table absolutely perfect for people watching as the night progressed. We both went for the Shepherd's Pie and were blown away by how delicious it was! We both had been naughty and skipped lunch and this devoured our meals. I've never been so tempted to get a repeat of an entree in the same visit, that is how scrumptious! Our server was a pro navigating through the crowds and keeping tabs on our beer refills as well as water! Definitely planning to return and experience without the Holiday cut so grateful we did!

Joni J.

Yelp
Great food, service and a cool vibe! The bar was brought over from Ireland. Fish and chips were very flavorful. Pretzel app has homemade brown mustard that is the best I've ever had.

Pual M.

Yelp
My coworkers and I stopped here on a Saturday around noon bar, which was very quiet inside. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They had a great portion of fried pickles, and they were outstanding. I also ordered an order of fish and chips that was delicious but very small fish portion. I think their tarter sauce was homemade it was phenomenal.

Rick C.

Yelp
Group of us in town for the Braves game hit this spot up for lunch. The bar is really cool, lot's of authentic Irish flair. I started with an Irish Mule, very good. Had the chicken club for lunch which was truly fantastic. Our server was great, we had been pre-gaming a bit, and he was very patient with us. I could easily have transitioned to the bar, and killed a few more hours here.

Kassidy W.

Yelp
This place is pretty good overall. The service was quick until bringing the check. We waited about 10 mins for that portion. The Bloody Mary was nasty. You can always tell when they just use tomato juice and Tabasco. I wish they made a house juice instead so it wouldn't be so bitter. I got the avocado toast and it was very tasty. Now my friend got the fish and chips and I highly recommend. Their fries are amazing. Even if you go just for drinks be sure to order a side!

mike w.

Yelp
Haven't had the food yet but the vibe here is just outstanding. The sound system with these Crown amps (if you know, you know) is a huge ingredient. It is remarkable - never too loud , running hi-rez, no garbage. Just loud enough to make people amp-up their energy with their friends, and bob their heads regularly. Well done and too rare!

Rachel B.

Yelp
Fine to grab a quick drink. Went in for a drink only -- did not try any food. Drinks were strong enough. There was a weird confrontation between a few patrons at the bar, but nothing serious. No one was wearing a mask -- not customers nor employees.

Glenn G.

Yelp
Great Irish bar great bartenders fun place local joint good food great barbecue etc. etc.

Clarity A.

Yelp
I was able to call and order a burger on a gluten free bun at this bar near midnight. That alone is worth 5 stars! Fast and polite service too!

Mitchellie V.

Yelp
If U dine outdoors, the pollen is very strong & I chose to sit by a fan but had to move b/c it was blowing all of the pollen on me... I had already ordered the Philly Cheese Steak (sandwich) so I moved tables. All the while as I say there waiting for my entree: *************** Warning ****************** Pls do NOT drink the water from the pitchers they serve as I saw a server (older man w/ all silver hair) take water glasses from tables where diners were leaving from & poured the glasses of water into the pitchers. I will NVR revisit this establishment, esp w/ the current climate of CoVid. Was he out of his mind?!? #Disgusting #RecycledSinkWater #UnsanitaryServingStandards #HellNah #IdontDeserveRecycledSinkWaterFromSum1elsesCup #IwasFloored #ThenItoldOurWaitressAndSheWas #InDenial #Garbage

Mike M.

Yelp
No draft beer for 4 days is unacceptable for an Irish Pub! Poorly managed, I had to teach the bartender how to pour a proper pint on a previous visit.

Adrienne l.

Yelp
If you want the best Reubens eggroll, as good as in N.Y just try them at this cute place. If the weather is good...eat outdoors...lots of fun..., however, most importantly of all is to ask for the server Joey........He is as professional as it gets in the industry...A pleasure to have hiim wait on our table. thank you Joey..............Adrienne Leeds

Dan M.

Yelp
Walked in since we were new to the area. We were treated right away like we were family. First by Carlton behind the bar then John sitting next to us. Beer was great and we had a couple of apps. If you're looking for a neighborhood bar with a great atmosphere this is the place

Sarah T.

Yelp
So good! Have been to the location downtown many times, this was my first trip here. Definitely a local hangout! Irish pub vibes were in full effect! Nachos were great, the Reuben egg rolls are yummy. Seat yourself kind of place, good service.

Beth H.

Yelp
That Mac and cheese though..... This place is a cozy little Irish pub. Staff was attentive, food was excellent. And $4 house cinnamon whisky. What more can a girl ask for?

Ed C.

Yelp
Seems many of the bad reviews are by whiney millennials from outside Vinnings and Symrna. The food here is unique, well prepared and quite tasty. This is the closest to a neighborhood pub I have been to in Atlanta. The staff and regulars are friendly. I enjoy sitting on the patio with a cigar and a stout while watching the Braves or AU. Keep up the good work!!!! Ed
