My college roommate and her husband were in town a few days ago and she chose this place to meet up, since it was halfway between us. I made a reservation for a table on the phone ahead of time as we were meeting on a busy Friday night and had no issues checking in upon arrival. There was also plenty of parking around the pub and the parking lot was pretty well lit which were both plusses.
We were seated immediately by a friendly host. Originally we were going to sit outdoors for obvious COVID reasons, but the outdoors area was actually pretty jam-packed so we opted for indoor seating and were pleased that we were all by ourselves. There were only a few people at the bar and we had a table all the way in the back, so no issues with social distancing.
My friend and her husband ate ahead of time, so they just ordered some drinks and the lobster bisque. They both said the lobster bisque was really good, so I might have to try that next time. My hubby and I ordered some apps to share as a late dinner. Our reservation was at 9 and the kitchen closes at 10 apparently, so we made it just in time.
We tried the Reuben egg rolls and chicken nachos. My love got a Coke and I got the "Nutty Irishman," which I think was Irish cream (like Bailey's or another brand) and hazelnut liqueur if I'm not mistaken. My drink was creamy and tasted good with just the right amount of alcohol. I can't drink as much as I used to due to some meds I'm on, but it was nice to have one drink, since it's few and far between these days. I enjoyed both the appetizers. I would get both again. The only mistake made was that I got a plate full of jalapeños when I asked for none on the nachos, but it was no big deal to pick them off. I'm not allergic or anything - was just trying to avoid the heartburn later.
Our waitress was very attentive and even long after we finished eating, drinking, and paid the check, they were good about letting us just stay and chat. There were lots of sports playing on multiple TVs, the Olympics to be specific, and after 10 they cranked up the music to make it more of a true bar atmosphere for a Friday night as opposed to the softer dining experience that preceded it. Overall, it was a solid experience and I have nothing to really complain about. If you're in this area, you should definitely check this pub out for drinks, socializing, watching sports, and some great apps. I probably would come back even though it's a bit out of my way.
