The Best Western Indian Restaurants in London | Eater London

"Striking décor in the style of a Gujarati village is the talking point at this Queensbury vegetarian restaurant: entire walls painted with bullock carts, peacocks, and women fetching water from wells in bright colours; sparkling lights and chandeliers; an antique doorway; puppets in traditional costumes; and a special table at the front shaded by a decorative mirrorwork canopy. The menu is vast: visit early in the day for the buffet thali. The dishes may not look as attractive as the interior design, but the buffet is the place where the widest selection of traditional fare is available. Regularly changing dishes may include tamarind and jaggery flavoured Gujarati dal, vaal (dried hyacinth beans), and undhiyu (Surti casserole of roots, fresh beans, and fenugreek dumplings). There are also classic Gujarati snacks like dhokla, khandvi, and bhajia — steamed or fried chickpea flour creations that Gujarati cooks are most admired for." - Sejal Sukhadwala

A Must-Visit! This restaurant delivers an authentic and flavorful Indian dining experience! We opted for the afternoon high tea option and every dish was delicious and beautifully presented. Everything was amazing from start to finish! Service was attentive and welcoming, and the ambiance was warm and inviting. A five-star experience—highly recommended!

Staff are friendly, but the food was disappointing. The menu is marked with a green V which at the bottom says vegan. I order vada pau and it came with butter. They said I should of said vegan when ordering but it doesn't say too and it shouldn't of said it was vegan. Food was very bland. The only decent item was the chilli garlic chips and sweet chilli mogo. Our bill was over £300 and it honestly wasn't worth it. Cocktails were nice 👌

The best restaurant we have been to. The ambience was top notch. The service was on the mark. The food oh my goodness, it was Amazing. The starters, mains and desserts all were really superb. The manager Lovekesh took really good care of me and my friends. We will definitely come here again very soon.

We had an amazing lunch at Meera’s. The stuffed mushrooms were delicious, and the lotus root honey chilli was absolutely mind-blowing. Their chilli garlic naan was fresh and complemented the paneer tikka masala perfectly. The service was quick too. We’re glad we found this authentic Indian restaurant in London.

Lovely to have many repeat visits to Meera's restaurant in Queensbury. As big fans of the food in the Meera's Xpress branches for many years it's lovely to have the dine-in concept available with the same quality you expect from Meera but with a variety of new and innovative dishes, well presented and in a nicely refurbished venue with beautiful wall art designs. We love coming on Sunday evening for the live music alongside the great food it makes for a perfect place for all the family. The food is delicious and in particular we love the Paneer & Pomegranate Chaat, Lotus Honey Root, Beetroot Tikki, Paneer Papad & Paneer 36. These are all quite innovative dishes where the flavours are bold and they stand out against the crowd of more typical dishes you're used to seeing. All dishes are very well presented and portions are fair and great for sharing. We've not yet tried the buffet but there does appear to be a good selection each time we've checked. It would be helpful to know in advance what the buffet contains and I wonder whether this could be published on the website or social media as it changes daily. Finally and most importantly the service - Deval has been an absolutely perfect host during our visits. She understands the menu well and provides recommendations. This time we went and she was acting supervisor. You could see her attention to detail to guests all around, being available to her team members when needed and overseeing operations were running smoothly. What's more, she has a fantastic memory - recalling even what our favourite dessert order is and offering it to us proactively at the end of the meal. Deval is a true asset to Meera's and her exemplary service is part of the reason that we continue to return.

Great food with nice twist on dishes which make this place stand out. The paneer and pomegranate wanton chaat is amazing. Crispy and full of flavour. Soya chaaps were nicely marinated with a bit of texture from grilling. Even the simple mogo was made to perfection. Nothing was oily or ridiculously spicy. Will come back and try more dishes on the menu!

Just had a large family lunch buffet for c30 people which was really tasty and plentiful. Service was really good and the manager Lovnesh was extremely hospitable. They accommodated dietary requirements and our menu requests. Will definitely go again.

Yelp
We were recommended Meera's Village by family and on our next visit to London, decided to try it out. Once you exit Queensbury tube stop, look to your left and Meera's is in that general direction. We went for the buffet thali, which was an 'all you can eat' affair with a lot of our favourites thrown in as part of the deal. The food was delicious and well prepared. I also loved the setting, with the walls being painted with scenes from rural India! The service was superb and one of the best things I liked about Meera's was the fact that the breads such as roti, thepla etc were freshly made to order, which is not a normal thing in most buffet places. Also the fact that the sheer variety of what was available as part of the thali package was pleasantly surprising. Since I can't really think of anything that went wrong for us on this occasion, hence the five stars. If I am in this part of London next, I will pay them another visit. As with everywhere else, I sincerely hope they continue to maintain their levels of quality and service.
