I had heard about this restaurant from a lot of people and the online reviews also implied that I must visit to get a good halal steak.
Unfortunately, my experience was not that great. First of all, they have no fillet steaks, so we ordered a Ribeye (Black Angus) and a Striploin (Wagyu 6-7). We also ordered an Angus Burger to share. We ordered Creamy Mashed Potatoes and Miso Aubergine as sides, and Bone Marrow Sauce and Peppercorn Sauce for our steaks. For dessert we had Chocolate Fondant and coffees. For drinks, we had a Lychee Mojito and a Ginger Ale.
The food was all slightly disappointing. The burger was entirely uninspiring and forgettable. The steaks were ok, but considering the Wagyu steak cost £105.61 and was nearly tasteless, it was genuinely disappointing. The sides, the mocktail and coffees - everything was just ok.
The service was alright - not very impressive but nothing to complain about.
All in all, this is a below par, very ordinary restaurant, with very ordinary, forgettable food, but their reputation is huge, and they get a lot of halal-eating clientele that rates them highly. I do not agree because I have had far better halal steak and far better halal burgers in London, sometimes at the same price and often at half or less of this price, in better or similar ambience and always with better service. So, I will not be visiting again.
