Meet Fresh

Great Taiwanese style desserts featuring shaved ice, grass jelly, ice cream and mochi. The desserts feature more naturally sweet ingredients so may not be appetizing to everyone. The portions are bigger than I thought and quite hefty. They have plenty of indoor and some outdoor seating. Lots of different dessert and drink options.

I love coming to Meet Fresh and grabbing a dessert. I’ve only tried and few of their desert options and by far my favorite is the icy grass jelly desert with melon jelly. The double taro is also very delicious. The coco sago (was not my favorite) but I’m not one for soupy desert options. Overall great place will keep coming back.

My visit to this establishment was disappointing from the very beginning. The hot no‑sugar tea, which should have been a simple and reliable order, arrived lukewarm and took an unreasonably long time to reach the table. When a restaurant struggles with something as basic as tea, it sets a troubling tone for the rest of the experience. The environment did little to improve matters. The dining area was noticeably dirty, creating an atmosphere that felt neglected and unwelcoming. Cleanliness is one of the most fundamental expectations in any dining space, and its absence made the entire visit feel careless. Service only added to the frustration. It was slow, unclear, and lacked the professionalism that elevates a meal. Instead of attentive hospitality, the experience felt disorganized and indifferent, as though the staff were overwhelmed or simply not invested in providing a positive visit. Taken together, these issues — the poorly prepared tea, the unclean environment, and the weak service — resulted in an overall experience that fell far below expectations. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place, and I will not be returning.

The line is long, the tables are dirty, and the food is presented with no care whatsoever, just toppings plopped into soup. It's a very sad and unexpected moment when you open the lid to your hot soup dessert and find it looking nothing like the images on the menu. We pushed all the toppings together and lifted them up to get a decent photo. Would not come back.

I really wanted to like this place, but after giving it several chances, I think it’s time to be honest. I always order the same drink when I’m in Arcadia, but since the self-order screen doesn’t allow fruit tea as a fluffy tea, I have to order at the register. There’s one employee who seems permanently allergic to helping customers. After waiting over 8 minutes, I was told, “I have a lot of work, I can’t take your order,” and then he walked away. I honestly thought it was a joke at first. I feel bad writing this, but the owners should know. Hopefully, it’s just one bad apple in an otherwise good bunch. P.S. It wasn’t busy at all no one was in line.

Almost impossible to pass by during the summer months. Menu combos are very high in calories, better for sharing and trying different toppings. But I prefer “Make your own”. Medium size is more than enough for one person, plus you can choose exactly what you want from toppings menu (for some reason they stopped doing complete “make your own” and you’ll get taro ball or grass jelly no matter what, but the rest is up to you). Also I usually ask for condensed milk on the side, this way you can add as much or as little as you want and keep your ice from melting too early.

I'm not impressed with most MeetFresh locations, but this is actually one of the better ones. Take that as you may. The decor actually seemed clean, and they had a really nice decor. Pretty modern. Best of all, the seats along the wall had chargers, which was awesome! Other locations have issues where the desserts they offer don't necessarily have beans that have been soaked and cleaned, like they just dump them in, and cook them as is. So if you like to make some music 🌬️🎶🎵, then be my guest, but this time, I just stuck with their teas. That seemed to be a safer bet.

Our first time at this place! We just didn’t know what to pick. There are so many choices. It all looks good. It looks so good on a photo but when it comes in paper cup it looks totally different. Staffs are nice.

Amazing service but I enjoyed more the way they prepare it before, now they mix it to prepare it and leaves a foam that I don't enjoy. I hope they can go back to the original way

I love meet fresh. My favorite is their Signature Grass Jelly Ice. It comes in a small bowl and they pour half and half or some type of milk over it. I think the milk just makes it juicier which I love and sometimes I have to ask for more milk lol. I like how the SIgnature Icy doesn't have sugar just poured over it like some other shaved ice orders. Its sweetness is subtle and the grass jelly is soo soft and delicious. It isn't hard and blocky like what you would get in canned versions. Their mochi is also amazingly soft and chewy. If I'm ever looking for a shaved ice fix, this is the spot!

When I miss Taiwanese sweets I come to Meet Fresh! The self order kiosks weren't working or turned on, so we had to wait awhile to get our order taken at the cashier. The tables were also a little sticky from previous customers. It is a nice place to get dessert, warm or cold and you don't have to wait too long for your order. There's also no prices on the menu so you don't know how much anything costs until you check out. Maybe on the kiosks it has the price but we didn't have that option.

It took over 30 minutes tonight for the staff to get our order of 3 simple items out to us. Two of the items were not even done correctly or missing stuff in the dessert (e.g. boba and condensed milk for the black sugar boba shaved ice, and the boba tofu pudding was cold instead of hot). There was literally a line of customers standing at the bar asking where their orders were, and it seemed like they would only start working on orders when you complained! The orders were haphazardly put together to the point where sugar syrup from many of the ingredients were dripping on the side of the bowls that they served. The least they could do is clean up the presentation so that patrons aren't picking up bowls that are sticky. The staff doesn't clean up tables nor the floor where there's literally sticky boba all over the place. They are either really short staffed, or haven't been trained properly. For spending almost $40 on 3 overpriced desserts, I expect a lot better quality, service and cleanliness of this establishment!

Icy Taro Ball 2 - (3/5) I enjoyed some of the toppings such as the red bean and taro balls. The shaved ice is not the best consistency and flavor but is just okay. It wasn't bad. The dessert overall is just okay, it was still enjoyable but not the best shaved ice I've ever had. To order, you either do it yourself at the two kiosks available or go up to the register and order from staff themselves. The desserts don't take long to come out either. It's pretty packed and you may or may not find a seat. The place isn't huge but it seems very clean and nicely decorated.

I like all their desserts, as a Taiwanese, that's the desserts we like during summer time. This location has both indoor and outdoor seating. The reason I gave 2 stars is because the service. Basically there's no service to me! There're self ordering machines so people do the ordering themselves, if you really have problems they can still take your order, however, there's no one at counter and they won't even greet you when you walked in. When the order was ready, they just left on the counter, customers needed to pay attention for their orders.

Perfect every time we come to this location. My daughter's absolute favorite dessert spot.

The employees were all kind and told me the restroom is outside to the back of the restaurant. The drink was only $6 before tax including the boba so it did not charge extra for a topping. The size and portion for $6 is a great deal! The taro paste makes the drink less sweet if that's what you're into!

The drink I ordered both visits were seriously fresh. I don't know how this 'Meet Fresh,' branch got 3 stars?! The barista I came across today even provided me Extra mini bobas.... I can't be drinking this stuff that much again, but I wanted to give a 'Meet Fresh,' a shot in my favorite mall, Santa Anita Mall, Arcadia, CA. I was hanging out with my Nordstrom coworkers, so we picked the meet up place here. Service was fast and efficient. I got my order fairly quickly in less than 20 minutes of a wait time. I'll be back to try something else later.

We were deciding between the boba stores and decided to get shaved ice instead due to the hot weather. There were two kiosks and the line was short but took a while because the kiosks were slow and wouldn't sense the touch. We received our shaved ice rather quickly. But when we received it, it was already melted half way... and the ice tasted chunky rather than smooth. It didn't even look filled to the top. It was so unappetizing and unappealing. I was really disappointed considering we paid $10 for a small bowl of melted ice and some toppings. Super disappointed after this occurrence.

The QQ Mochi Milk Shaved Ice with pudding was a delicious dessert. Despite a relatively smaller portion size compared to some other venues that give you the option of dining in or a to go bowl, the dessert's taste was very refreshing and sweet. The plethora of toppings added a burst of flavors that complemented the dish exquisitely. One commendable feature was the self-serve water and bowl station, allowing for a personalized touch to the dessert experience. However, the interaction with the staff member taking the order fell short of pleasant, lacking the warmth that enhances a dining visit. On a brighter note, the dessert's preparation time was impressively swift, promptly available for pick up after ordering.

Stopped by on Friday, 11/10/23. I've only tried Meet Fresh in Westwood Village so this is my first time trying in the Westfield Santa Anita Mall (located outside of the main mall). Ordered the following and dined in: - 1 medium mochi shaved ice = $12.75 TOTAL WITH TAX: $14.06 SOOOO GOODDD! The medium size is good for 2 people and this shaved ice is one of the recommended desserts. I would totally come back and try out all of the various options - endless opportunities here. Meet Fresh has expanded over the years too and I wouldn't be surprised if this is the next Starbucks.

WOW, the Blueberry Muffins were amazing and super delicious! They even warmed it up for us. Thank you Meet Fresh!

My go-to for grass jelly shaved ice and taro balls. This location is located in the Shops at Santa Anita. The dessert is not too sweet and the grass jelly is very jiggly. I enjoy the creamer that they give on the side. The shaved ice is taste like snow and pairs extremely well with the grass jelly. Taro balls are chewy. If you are a fan of Taro, you can customize the Icy Grass Jelly. The parking can get busy during peak hours.

I like meat fresh. But it only limited to their desert such as taro ball desert, shave ice etc. I tried their milk tea before and I don't like it. My recommendation: Taro trio : taro ball+ ice cream + machi ball, this is my favorite item from their entire menu. It never goes wrong. Taro ball is chewy and satisfying. Tips: finish the desert asap is highly suggested. Last time I found the shaved ice has melted after I got back home. I still enjoyed it but the flavor is better when just got it. Parking space is plenty. They are busy during weekend. A lot of seating area.

My family and I love Meet fresh for dessert in San Gabriel Valley. We usually get the coconut sago dessert bowl with sticky rice balls, jelly, and taro paste. The coconut Sago drink with QQ balls is also very delicious and refreshing. The fruit and milk consistently, I highly recommend this place. It has great service and sometimes a noisier ambiance.

This is our 5th time at this location. I was not an avid Yelper before but seeing the 3 stars review for this place is low from the experience we had in our past visits and today. We ordered an Almond pudding QT & a Mini Q Coco Sago Drink. The place was half full with patrons. We were surprised that we got a drink within two minutes. We just don't know how they made our drinks so fast. The ambience was nice and not noise like the other Meet Fresh location. Seems like everyone was enjoying their drink or desert. The almond pudding tasted favorably and with the vanilla ice cream in the mix made everything came together very well. The mini Q Coco Sago drink was very tasty too with mush taro in the drink, and the Sago made it taste so good when both combined and smashed together in my mouth. I usually don't like my drink too sweet but both drinks were not too sweet - they were just right. We will be back on our next mall visit.

This was our first time at Meet Fresh. It was pretty empty when we arrived with only one person in line ahead of us. The menu is extensive and a bit confusing when deciding what to order but we went with what seemed most familiar -- Taro Ball Tofu Pudding (cold), Black Sugar Boba Milk Tea and Fluffy Black Tea. As we waited, we were surprised how quickly it got busy. The line was out the door, tables filled up, and it was standing room only while people waited for a table or their orders. Although the staff seemed to be working efficiently, it still took some time to receive our order because they were also fulfilling mobile orders. Despite the wait, everything was fresh, tasty and not overly sweet. There are many dessert options at Santa Anita mall. Meet Fresh is a great option for something light and refreshing. We'll be back to try more items.

On Valentine's Day, I went to Meet Fresh. I had my heart set on mango shaved ice, but they didn't have it that day, so I opted for Q mochi milk shaved ice instead. I waited for almost 45 minutes for my order. At one point, I considered asking for a refund, but I noticed the staff arguing, so I decided against it. Many people were sitting and waiting, and it seemed like there weren't enough workers, but eventually, we got our orders. When I finally tried it, I was amazed. The shaved ice was incredibly delicious--so sweet, with wonderfully chewy mochi and delightful toppings like ice cream and jellies. I wished the shaved ice came out faster so I could go back again, but the wait time was just too long.

My favorite place to go for dessert during the weekend. It's always crowded but the service is quick. My favorite one is pudding and Q mochi milk shaved ice. It's a huge portion and we can share for 3 to 4 people. I also try Icy taro ball and it's delicious. The dining area is clean and the ice water is available near the restroom. Very nice place to hangout with family and friends!!

This is the strawberry shaved ice when I JUST got it, the strawberries aren't fresh they're super syrupy and this was $16. SO NOT WORTH IT save your money!!! Way better places in the same area for cheaper. -update- I emailed them like they requested below and have not heard back lol

I got the mango green tea with lychee jelly and grass jelly. It didn't blow me out of the water but it was pretty good. Sweetness just right. They were also giving out reusable boba straws for their brand anniversary. Service was ok but it was confusing where my drink was going to come out to since they didn't call my name or anything and it didn't come out for a bit even after I got the text notification that my order was ready. This would be a good place for studying or chatting with friends.

I came here thinking I could enjoy a milk tea while I work on my laptop. I got my drink but no Wi-Fi. Door says there is Wi-Fi, and Yelp also says there is Wi-Fi, but there is no Wi-Fi available. The description needs to be fixed because that's misleading.

Visited Meet Fresh in Arcadia Mall on a Saturday night around 7 pm - to my surprise, the atmosphere wasn't bustling with crowds. Opted for a hot grass jelly b with added rice balls, and the order was quickly prepared. The person taking my order was friendly and polite. Choosing to enjoy my treat inside, I was pleasantly surprised by the exceptional taste - possibly the best I've had in a while. Whether it's the location or the quality of the dessert, I'm looking forward to another visit soon.

Brought my parents here to try their brown sugar boba shaved ice after a day of shopping. The cashier made the recommendation for the flavor of shaved ice and it was delicious! We ordered the large, and it was served in two parts: the ice, and the toppings. The toppings container had the brown sugar syrup, red bean, and boba. All together it tasted so good and was a nice refreshing dessert. We went when it was busy, so it was a bit loud and the tables were a little dirty since we sat down right after another family left, but that's usually how it is so nothing against them at all, we just used a napkin to wipe down the table before sitting. Overall really great experience and food :)

Visitation Rights: A handful of times. Wifi: Yes, it is available. Credit Cards: They're accepted. No cash accepted! I probably think it's because of covid. Location/Parking: Located in the Promenade. Parking can be found either in the parking structure or the outdoor parking lot of the mall. Ambiance/Decor: Pretty cool ambiance and modernish decor. For now, the water dispenser is out of order. Service: Service can be a bit of hit or miss depending on the staffer. Last time, one of them just threw the dessert on the counter instead of handing it to us gently. Look like he hated his job or something. Desserts usually come out pretty fast. Dessert Of Choice: I usually get the hot grass jelly soup sans the creamer and potato balls. Soo good and soothes the tummy from the frigid air. Drink Of Choice: Wintermelon tea is pretty good here. As for no ice to maximize on the ice consumption. They fill it up to the top with no additional charge. Meet Fresh For Thought: Don't mind coming back.

Meet Leftovers: Coming from AZ,, I thought our Meet Fresh was just bad because it was not coming straight from California or trained from California. But this location here was surprisingly not good. Maybe it's not as good as it used to be. We ordered the mango berry shaved ice. It was not soft shaved ice. Clumps of ice. The strawberry and mango were frozen. Then they just put a clump of condensed milk that was frozen. And then they put a clump of ice on top. So disappointing. Looked nothing like the pictures. Never again for me unfortunately. Hope others have a better experience.

Went there on a Thursday. Not that busy, so there was only one server upfront. The server was wonderful. He quickly greeted us and was bright and patient throughout the conversation. After we ordered, he quickly made all of our orders by himself! Super efficient! The matcha waffle was perfectly done. Hot, fresh and crispy on the edge. Oolong milk tea with mini Q was great as always! Taro balls were freshly made, and people can definitely tell from the taste and texture. Really enjoyed the passion fruit. Very refreshing for summer. (Almond pudding had a very strong taste. We really liked it but it could be a dealbreaker for those who don't like almond. just FYI) Overall, it's a good spot. Very casual and great for grab & go. I'm giving it a 4 instead of 5 because of the tables. They were quite sticky and that was the only downside.

Food: Meet fresh used to be one of my favorite dessert places in China. You could actually taste the taro in the taro balls. But I don't like how the taro balls here in the US just taste like boba - only chewy and feels like they're made from powder. Even the rice balls taste exactly like boba. All the texture are very similar and have no layers. But the red bean soup base is decent and the taro itself is great. Price: it's very pricey. A red bean soup combo comes out to $10+ without adding anything. Service and ambiance: not much service. It's pretty much self serve: you get your own water and pick up your food when it's ready. The place is cute with seating available. It's usually packed.

I went there several times and tried their egg waffles and tofu pudding. The original egg waffle was crispy outside and softly inside. The chocolate deluxe waffle with ice-cream and nuts was so good, and the waffle itself was chocolatey. I like their taro paste, too. Tofu pudding is also a good choice for me, but it would be better if it is more silky. It is good to have a convenient place to eat dessert and rest after shopping.

So disappointed with this chain. Used to go to the one in temple city and they got my order wrong.... Made the drive to the arcadia location only to find out my order was wrong again. I custom ordered a red bean soup and receievd a bowl of grass jelly. For some reason they don't pick up the phone even though it wasnt busy inside. I emailed corporate to get a refund and didn't hear back.

They have above average egg waffle. Besides egg waffle, tofu dessert is our favorite too. I like big variety of dessert, hot and cold. Seasonal items keep the menu refreshed. It's probably the only Asian dessert restaurant in the tri valley. Service is either a hit or miss. The dining area is always clean which I really appreciate.

I've come here a couple of times and struggled to find which of the dessert combos would be my go-to order. Having gone several times now, I think I've found my order-- Icy Grass Jelly B. I'm a huge fan of taro and red bean so this combo worked perfectly for me. I rate this place a 5/5 solely for the desserts. I will say that the service can be a bit spotty, but I haven't had any bad encoutners so far. Most of the tables aren't wiped down as this place is always packed with customers seated inside. Also just a heads up, they only do cashless transactions!

Great place to grab a desserts! Located upstairs in the promenade near Qin noodle and Macys. Love their taiwanese shaved ice, premium taro ice signature, and their waffle! Plenty of indoor seating. The only downsides is they serve all the food in to go containers. They no longer put the desserts in bowls, how they used to. Portions are smaller too.

Yummy Taiwanese style desserts with a great selection. We got a taro shaved ice and a passion sorbet B. The shaved ice seemed to have everything under the sun and more than one single bowl. I cannot even describe all the different things - taro paste, Boba balls, taro, balls, caramel, pudding, ice cream, red bean, condensed milk. These are definitely big enough to share, even the medium size. It melted really fast though. The passion fruit sorbet had almond jelly, red bean, taro balls. It was a smaller, single serving type portion, and it was perfect. Very refreshing and very tasty. Service is quick, and the dining room has pretty ample seating.

Omg! I don't know why this place has bad reviews but I hope mine helps. I will say that ordering was awkward. The girl at the register stood there staring at me for a while until I broke the silence and asked if she was ready lol After that, she was cool and helpful. This was my first time here so I just picked something that looked good and was popular. I got the mochi and pudding shaved ice option. Sooooo good! Mochi, ice cream, caramel, two puddings, shaved ice and taro balls. I really enjoyed it. Definitely a sugar treat. But I don't eat like this often so it was a great treat! I was in Santa Anita Mall. We were walking in the second floor in a sunny open area in a hot day, and we saw Meet Fresh. Of course,it was perfect timing to quench our thirst. We ordered iced Taro TQ. We were excited to try our drink, since we saw the picture on Yelp for the drink which has shaved ice, mini Q , taro sauce , taro paste and vanilla ice cream. I was so disappointed with my order same as my friend. The vanilla ice cream tasted delicious although it was so little in my cup. Then came the taro paste which instead were chunks of taro!!! Not a paste at all!! The mini Q was good, now it was the shaved ice I had a bulky unfresh shaved ice!! It was overpriced drink with lack of fine ingredients. The employees in the place looked overwhelmed. Anyway, I am sure I will not go to this location again. There are many great places in Santa Anita Mall With better quality and not overpriced

Came here on a Saturday and it was packed! Despite the long line, the orders were taken and given very quickly. Usually I'm a fan of the Fluffy teas, however I've found that the drinks can be inconsistent in sweetness. I always order 50% sweet, but the actual taste can vary. The boba itself is usually cooked well and its very chewy without being overcooked. I do like how this place has lots of indoor seating so it's a good place to take a break from all that walking! I highly recommend trying their desserts such as Icy Grass Jelly signature. Their drinks are just okay, and with so many other new boba options in the mall, the consistency isn't there.

The service wasn't great. No one was paying attention to the front even though we were right at the cash register. It took about 12 minutes for the girl to notice us. She was nice, but it was weird having to stand there for so long. I would definitely say that they were overwhelmed and it shows. Anyways, the inside of the store can be described as STICKY and full of trash. All tables had sugar residue as well as trash, due to them having their trash cans completely full. The side wall where they tell you to put your trays was completely full as well. Having the water station right next to it made it feel really disgusting. I understand that it's busy, but you really need to be able to monitor what's going on around the store, especially when it starts becoming a health hazard. If there isn't enough staff, hire. Have someone go clean and throw trash out if necessary. Don't just let it pile up. So I ordered a lemon honey black tree with lychee jelly, and my friend ordered the strawberry shaved ice. Our faces dropped looking at their shaved ice as it looks completely different from the picture, plus we told them we were dining in! They basically smashed the ice on top, and we had to jab our spoons in to mix it. What sucked was everything was on the bottom, and we actually had to beat the ice up in order to get there. It was honestly more like a block of ice. Because all the liquid was at the bottom, everything got melted quickly so we couldn't even enjoy it. We ended up with nasty overly sweet water. The drink wasn't good either. No lemon. It tasted like a mild sugar water with lychee jelly at the bottom. I did try to get someone's attention, but knew they were extremely busy so I let it go. I would honestly say to avoid this place and save your money.

My first time try Meet Fresh Brown Sugar Boba milk tea. Tips: using mobile app and order online so you can skip the line during a busy weekend. This location located at the Arcadia mall. Packed during weekend. I got my drink pretty quick cause I ordered ahead. I was a bit disappointed to see the drink. It doesn't look right. Looks like HK milk tea not brown sugar boba milk tea. I got the regularly sweetness, OMG it almost choke me. Sweet to a different level. Avoid regular sweet if you can. Drink doesn't taste good either, too sweet and I don't taste any tea flavor in it. Inside is super busy but there are outdoor seating areas you can sit.

Such place now. Not like before. The drinks is Terrible. All drinks they make with syrup and sugar .

I'm coming back JUST FOR THIS Ask the workers in the front for the most popular items! We got the top seller in the shaved ice section! It's AMAZING. I was so surprised! The ambiance is such a vibe too

We've been coming to this spot for a few years. As far as I know, it's the only place that has ice grass jelly dessert by itself without tea. While it's a bit pricey, the desserts are always delicious. Tonight was great because Adrian R, went out of his way to make it special. Big shout to hiring a great staff.

March 2023 Food/Pricing - Taro Tofu Pudding ($8) - Ordered it hot, it was a little warm at best. Expected it to be steaming hot. Tofu could be more silky but it was fine. Overall taste was good. Just wish it were hotter. Caramel Pudding Milk Tea ($6.25) - Pudding was yum but the milk tea itself tasted watered down. Service/Ambiance - Service was quick. I wish the almond drink was available all year round and not just certain months. I absolutely love that item and would come a lot more often if it was available for longer. Parking - Mall parking.

Couple weekends ago, I got a chance to try Meet Fresh. Luckily the line wasn't too long. I ordered a few of their signature desserts. 1. Hot Red Bean Soup - very good, but I would have liked it a tad sweeter 2. Hot Grass Jelly Soup Signature - this was bland... needs some sweetness IMHO 3. Icy Grass Jelly Signature - good, but grass jelly wasn't sweet enough... they normally aren't... maybe the soup needed to be sweetened a bit Staff and service was okay. Prices are decent. I'll have to return and try their shaved ice and drinks options next time. Give them a try and get some meet fresh when you're in the Arcadia area. Enjoy!

I'm a huge fan of Meet Fresh and used to drive quite far to satisfy my cravings before this location opened up. That being said, the service and quality here is definitely lacking in comparison to older locations - maybe it's because they know clientele will wait in line regardless? 1) Although they say they check proof of vaccination, they've never actually checked which doesn't feel safe. They also never enforce the social distancing stickers - there's always aunties and uncles who insist on pressing as close as possible in line, and the employee will just stand by and watch when I complain or a verbal argument ensues. 2) There's often only one employee taking care of both the food and the cash register. Please do better and hire more staff! 3) This last time I visited, I ordered 2 hot soups (the grass jelly signature and a red bean with boba) - both were SUPER watered down with so much liquid that at first, I thought they forgot to put in any toppings at all. This hasn't happened at any other location so I know it's not the typical Meet Fresh recipe.
