I ordered three drinks and even left a note asking them not to forget the straws, yet the staff didn’t include any straws. When I called the store, they responded very perfunctorily and just said they would “take care of it later.” But when I called back, they didn’t answer the phone at all. The staff had a really bad attitude, ignored the inconvenience they caused me, and didn’t even apologize!

Came for dessert, three of us ordered a pudding mochi milk shaved ice to share. The portion is quite large (I’m surprised after reading other reviews) with generous amounts of each topping. The ice itself is really nicely sweetened, and we were impressed by the texture and flavour of the mochi. It’s admittedly on the pricey side, though.

Google
Meet Fresh is a Taiwanese dessert shop located right in the heart of Packard's Corner, serving a wide range of cold or hot desserts. The staff interaction was very minimal as they were focused on making the dishes, doesn't really bother me as this was my first time coming and I needed time to look through the menu. The odor of the place was also a bit odd, smelled like bad body odor when we walked in, though it could've been from a person so I won't judge. We tried the Thai Tea Tofu Pudding and the Signature Grass Jelly. The Signature Grass Jelly was good, though the shaved ice included wasn't. The Thai Tea, as seen, was ruined. We got it for take-out and only drove about 5 minutes home, and within that time frame it melted completely. The Thai Tea tasted like powdered Thai Tea watered down, and the tofu was just a block of silken tofu and not really sweet or tasting like anything. We couldn't finish it, though the red bean balls were good. Overall a disappointing experience and would probably not come back unless something changes or we try something different.

Google
Great ice cream with different variety of mochi ball! We order the Q Machi Milk Shaved Ice, and shared by 5 people. Great to sit around and eat ice cream while chatting with friends.

Google
Overall decent. Tried the Crystal mochi milk shaved ice, we had ordered 'medium' but they gave us 'large', apparently there was only $1 difference between the two so ended up just taking it without refund. It tasted great, not so sweet and great assortment of toppings. Menu was diverse and had many options of desserts. Inside was neat and clean, but the overall atmosphere felt like an Udon shop with lanterns and how they use bowls (for medium-size) and plates (for large-size) shaved ice and gave us udon spoons. The staff was polite but did not speak good English. The service was pretty prompt, and they give you a buzzer with a digitized number which buzzes when your order is ready. Would come again.

Google
we paid almost $60 for 4 bowls of this dessert. the pictures are for illustration purposes only and we listened to the reviewer to eat them, the space is small and not too many tables, the staff attitude is very bad when customers choose the dishes. ate all 4 bowls but only 1 flavor, they are not different and very bad. SPECIFICALLY YOU HAVE TO SPEND MONEY TO BUY HALF A BOWL OF SHAVED ICE and there are still big pieces of ice AND SUGAR WATER. i will not come back. IT'S SO BAD

Google
I was craving for Taiwanese Xie bing so I had my expectations high before driving here for 50 min. What a disappointment. They charge $20 for shave ice that’s not the milky kind like in Taiwan and there were very stingy on their ingredients. If this cost $7 I would have given a 5 star but not for something that cost $20. A better more generous place to get this would be cafe bene. Truly disappointing and overpriced.

Google
Anyway, it’s Meet Fresh. I love their dessert since I was a teenager. But could you please please please stop playing music like a pub? 😣😣😣

Yelp
Meet Fresh in Brighton deserves all five stars! The Passion Fruit and Strawberry Tea was refreshing and full of flavor--a perfect drink to enjoy on a warm day. I was also craving Strawberry Milk Tea, which wasn't on the menu, but the staff went above and beyond by making it for me anyway. It was delicious and really hit the spot! Plenty of seating is available if you want to sit down and enjoy the ambiance. The location in the heart of Allston is super convenient, making it a great place to stop by when you're in the area. The service was fantastic, and I'll definitely be coming back for more. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Average dessert place, we only ordered one item and it was the Thai tea tofu pudding. The Thai Tea Tofu bowl contains Tofu Pudding, Black Boba, Sago and Sesame Taro Balls in a Thai Tea soup. The Thai tea tastes water down and old. The tofu pudding just tastes like Tofu and didn't really add much to an already not so sweet Thai tea base. The boba was a nice texture and the sesame balls were also nice but wouldn't recommend if you don't like the sesame inside. Overall, I don't think the toppings match well with the Thai tea. The interior is big but very disorganized and dirty. There was spillage on the floor and tables. People also did not return their plates to the dish return so there is leftovers on some tables. It was a busy night so I understand the delay in cleaning. The service was average, our cashier seemed scared and was slow in taking our order and forgot to give us the beepers that beep when our order is ready. Overall, I wouldn't be quick to return but if you're craving a late night sweet treat, it does satisfy the cravings.

Yelp
Nice spot for shaved ice condensed milk mochi, i think the only thing that would elevate it even more is have more fruit add ons or any fruit add ons for the shaved ice items. It was still yummy, flavor soaks down so when you get to the bottom of the bowl there's a lot of flavor at the bottom and in the middle of the ice mound. The service was quick get a buzzer, and pick it up when the staff is done making your plate. We shared a large and it was definitely a lot haha. Had different types of mochi around the shaved ice. I believe we got the Q mochi milk shaved ice. I can't find my picture of it but if i find it I'll upload! Alotta folks from the dinners around the area stopped in after. Another couple that sat next to us earlier for dinner also showed up there! Does have bathrooms and plenty of seating space.

Yelp
Been to many Meet Fresh before in CA. This one gives the smallest portion of toppings and food (1/3 less). I would not recommend it to others
google avatar

Howie H.

Yelp
we stopped in this past Sunday for a shaved ice. The order came out, the toppings were on the conservative por The shaved ice was not shaved ice but in actuality, ice chunks. we've had this problem in the past, but we thought it was in one time, anomaly, sadly to say, it's a continuous thing. i hear other tables complain about the same thing.
google avatar

Sandra S.

Yelp
Wasn't too sweet and a nice little dessert. I don't say this often but I kind of wish it was a little sweeter. First time not getting the shaved ice and wasn't dissatisfied. I still prefer the shaved ice but this is a good alternative if you want something less filling. I really like their Mochis as it had a the perfect chew. I will try the taro one bowl next time. Location wasn't too busy for a 7pm on a Friday.
google avatar

Yelp
Tried Meet Fresh for the first time after eating dinner down the street. We got a large Q Mochi Milk shaved ice to try and it did not disappoint. The shaved ice was not bland, yet not too sweet with each bite having nice condensed milk flavor. The mochi was nice and chewy. I do wish that Meet Fresh had fruit flavor options but regardless, they are a solid place for dessert that is not too sweet and also have options other than shaved ice to try, such as hot sweet soups, grass jelly, or egg puffs.

Yelp
Came here on a busy Sunday early evening and the place was packed! There are lots of tasty desserts to choose from and they also have lots of drinks on their menu as well. Our food came out extremely fast! Only thing to note was how people were leaving their dirty plates and trash on the tables and they were there until the next customers had to clean them up on their own. Maybe more clear signage and instructions on throwing out your own garbage and putting away dirty plates would help with this.

Yelp
I only come to Meet Fresh to get the shaved ice now if I'm ever craving something sweet and refreshing (so my rating is literally only for the shaved ice)*** I've tried their dessert soups (which is what they're known for), but I'm someone that likes a lot of soup/creamer to go along with the toppings to really balance the toppings/base. They only give you a very, tiny creamer to go on top of the toppings so I never get the soups when I come here bc it's not that flavorful and gets dry if there's not a lot of liquid. Pudding & Q Mochi Milk Shaved Ice (Large $15.75) - 4/5 I really like this shaved ice and I only get this one! It has the perfect combination of the mochi, jellies, vanilla ice cream and the two puddings (caramel and almond). Sometimes I like to add boba to it which is nice as well. The large is HUGE and plenty for 4 people. The past few times I went though (at night), they ran out of things that go in the shaved ice like the caramel and mochi. These things are probably pretty popular so I recommend going before busy times to make sure they have things you want in stock! I'd rate it higher if the shaved ice was consistent because its a bummer to go out of your way and not have it available a lot of times Meet Fresh also has a good amount of seating which I like, but can get very crowded especially at night.

Yelp
Was a popping spot after eating hot pot. It's super refreshing. Very simple to order. I haven't tried any of their milk teas so I cannot rate that, obviously.
google avatar

Mark L.

Yelp
Very disappointed. The milk tea is tasteless. Already with less ice. See the pictures, looks diluted as well. Been to many meet fresh in California. This one is the worst.
google avatar

Kelly C.

Yelp
Walk in, order, seat yourself, simple enough. Very spacious interior, plenty of seating but typically very busy. (Or at least it is during dessert hours) I get the herbal jelly everytime. It's very refreshing and I love the texture of the taro and sweet potato balls. It's also in a very convenient location whether you're taking public transport or driving.
google avatar

Aditi D.

Yelp
The egg waffle and the taro balls over shaved ice was my favorite. I'd love to try other things on their menu as well. The service was quick and they had good music!
google avatar

Annilyn T.

Yelp
Came here after dinner. The place was busy when we came in, there were tables but they were almost completely full so we asked and had to share with other people there. Service was reasonable since it was busy plus they do DoorDash orders as well. The desert we got was good but nothing special to it. The ice was pretty big, it would have been better if it was shaved smaller so when you eat it your are not eating big chunks of ice. Probably would be better to wait for it to melt a little bit but that would take so long. The place was pretty loud but not like everyone is shouting. It just gets loud since everyone is talking together and the place isn't too big. Would love to try the other food on the menu next time when around the area.

Yelp
I've been meaning to try Meet Fresh for awhile, and I just happened to be nearby on a hot day so I thought it'd be a great opportunity to get a cold dessert. The service was quick; the line moved fast and I didn't have to wait long for my order to be ready. There was just enough seating for me to grab the last table luckily. I ended up getting one of the cold specials with grass jelly. I liked the grass jelly, and the balls on top were okay. What I really did not like was the ice underneath. For some reason it tasted like fish to me and I'm not sure whether that was just the flavor? Considering they only serve dessert, I didn't think it could be cross contamination. Anyways, I was just not a fan.
google avatar

Lucy L.

Yelp
Be aware of them charging you for the service, check your receipts. They will tag on an open food item, according to the store they will charge you for containers and as well as plastic bags.
google avatar

Hursuong V.

Yelp
I am realizing that more places are popping up offering similar treats as Meet Fresh (Taiwanese shaved ice, almond pudding, tofu pudding, grass jelly, etc) but Meet Fresh will always be classic. This location is clean but also decently busy, even on a weeknight. The wait isn't absurdly long though. Street parking can be tricky.
google avatar

Cal L.

Yelp
So happy to see this in our neighborhood. Exactly like the other ones in New York and California, and every time we come here, it's packed. Staff are friendlier and more accommodating compared to the other Meet Fresh stores I've been to. If you're considering if you should come try it, please do. You won't regret the chewy taro balls, ice cream, pudding, and red bean soup (if that's your thing). The demographic skews young. It's close to Harvard and BU and there are a lot if youngsters who come here for dessert.
google avatar

Katherine C.

Yelp
I went to Meet Fresh for an Asian dessert and got the black sugar boba shaved iced with mini taro balls instead of red bean. It had caramel pudding, black sugar boba, vanilla ice cream, and I think some grass jelly. The taro balls made it even better. It was so good and I like how the ice was sweet and had a lot of flavor. Would definitely come back to try some other desserts!
google avatar

Yelp
Our favorite desert spot in the area. So delicious. See pictures for recommendation. The service appears to be average--I'm not sure if there's anything to improve, however.
google avatar

Alex L.

Yelp
Shaved ice/soup dishes with toppings is what Meet Fresh is best for. Tried the Hot Grass Jelly Soup B (I was a huge fan but some people might not like the gelatinous consistency, was my favorite though), the Red Bean Tofu Pudding (recommend adding some sweeter toppings, we added grass jelly and taro paste), and the matcha waffle (pretty good). The service was not great as the person at the ordering counter was rude, but the place is efficient and good at what they do, so despite the service, I probably will be back craving more.
google avatar

David C.

Yelp
Craving dessert, I came across this place, but came out with a loss for words. The item I originally wanted was seasonal only (didn't see the fine print). Then, the entire section where my Plan B came from (Egg Waffles) had the Sold Out sticker plastered all over it. Ultimately, I settled for a fruit tea. Received my Orange & Passion Fruit at 6pm, which tasted very watered down. Finally, at 2am (busy, busy day), I tasted the fruits and it's sweetness satisfied my cravings. My friend got the Red Bean Milk Tea shaved ice (Large), but the cashier brought it down to Medium, even though we changed our minds back to Large. The cashier said Medium is good for two people, whereas the Large was for a bigger party. Got the shaved ice, which was disappointingly small and after my friend gave up on it, I finished it all myself. Very busy and hyped place, but definitely, definitely not for me.
google avatar

Shane H.

Yelp
I usually not have a sweet tooth for dessert but, I have to post this place. The grass jelly signature has the perfect balance of sweetness from cream along with the shaved ice at the bottom. The taro balls have a chewy texture, and the grass jelly itself is silky. I highly recommend this place to anyone!
google avatar

Alice D.

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday evening and the place was pretty packed - we did manage to snag seats by the time we got our dessert, but it involved being really attentive and snatching a table as soon as some folks left. The service was really quick and efficient. They didn't have the shaved ice we originally wanted so we ended up going with the smaller red bean version and it was more than plenty for two of us. I originally asked for it to be to go since we didn't know if we'd manage to get seats, but less than a minute later when we did grab a table, it was too late to change the order to dine in. Super quick! The portion didn't look too big, but it was pretty filling after eating a nice dinner. The ratio of toppings to ice was okay, definitely could've been a little better. The ice also froze at the bottom, making it very difficult to eat towards the end as we had to essentially smash our spoon down to the bottom to get anything. Overall, the dessert was super tasty and I would definitely not mind coming back. Consistency could've been better, but given the container size and how everything was packed in, it's understandable that it ended up like that.
google avatar

Michele M.

Yelp
Came back here a second time and tried their boba! Highly recommend. The boba is smaller than other places but super soft, chewy and sweet. The milk tea is strong! The staff were super helpful in recommending drinks and food options. It's bustling on a Friday night and pretty loud.
google avatar

Woo K.

Yelp
I dunno what it is that makes me come back to meet fresh, but every time I have it I'm just like...."why did I come back here?" I had the red bean soup, cuz I love red bean. And it was just ok to me. I see why people may like it, but it wasn't enough flavor. It felt a bit bland. The best thing out of the bowl was the black sesame rice cake thing. Melting black sesame sweet paste inside, just oozing out of that bad boy. But that's it. It was just ok. I was not blown away. Sorry meet fresh, maybe next time our relationship will be better.
google avatar

Joyce K.

Yelp
Having spent some time in California and having first discovered the joy of Meet Fresh Taiwanese desserts there, I was over the moon excited to hear that they were opening an Allston location. The inside of the store was clean and bright, and although there was a line to order it moved quickly. My boyfriend and I shared the icy taro ball combo B (with red beans, boba pearls, taro balls, and chunks of sweet taro all over a bed of shaved ice), which came out to ~$12. Every bite was delicious - from the chewy boba and taro balls, to the refreshing shaved ice, to the flavorful taro chunks, this dessert rocked my socks off. The closest thing I've tried to Meet Fresh in Boston is Sweet Kingdom, and while both are satisfying I would say that Meet Fresh is better. I don't come out to Allston often, but I'd make the journey just to get desserts here!
google avatar

Edward W.

Yelp
I tried this Taiwanese dessert place four months ago. There were a few tables inside the shop but I decided to get takeout. I got the Icy Taro Ball Signature which consisted of taro and sweet potato mochi, boba, taro paste, and shaved ice. It was a pretty big portion and not overly sweet. It was light, delicious and refreshing! It's definitely a great dessert to eat especially during the summer months. The takeout container also was pretty cute.
google avatar

Jason K.

Yelp
After taking almost 3 years, MeetFresh has finally opened to the delight of every Asian dessert fan in Boston. The icy taro ball signature and icy grass jelly signature are generously loaded with red beans, boba, shaved ice, and taro balls. You could probably finish it by yourself but it's definitely something you can split with someone else. The Miss You Drink sounds interesting but it's basically the red bean soup with grass jelly in a cup form. It's mildly sweet and tastes good but nowhere near as alluring as the name suggests. The best bit of advice for getting service here (while the hype is still alive) is to come before opening time to beat the crowds because the line can get as long as the line in the supermarket before a snowstorm. It can take some time for your order to be prepped but it's definitely worth the wait. Welcome to Boston, MeetFresh! IG: Feastcoastoffense
google avatar

Jason L.

Yelp
The inside has a nice atmosphere and was decently busy for a Friday night. I got here around 8 and just beat the rush and managed to grab a table. Lots of college students stopping by here with their friends but also a decent amount of families as well. We got the Mangoberry Milk Shaved Ice and Icy Taro ball. I liked the mango side better than the strawberry which tasted like artificial strawberry syrup to me. I did like that the ice was flavored and wasn't just ice covered with syrup though. It tasted like it was mixed with condensed milk or something creamy. The Icy Taro ball was refreshing and was not too sweet. This was probably the highlight of my dessert, reminded me of the dessert bowls I'd have in HK! Overall not bad but was pretty pricy compared to other places I've been.
google avatar

Angela S.

Yelp
What a test of patience, but worth it! Finally open after teasing the Allston neighborhood for two years or so. So happy they have warm dessert options for the subzero Boston winters. I got the hot red bean soup with boba, taro balls, and peanuts, and added sesame mochi balls as an extra topping. Serving size is substantial, good to split with a friend or two. I am definitely coming back for the end of the Lunar New Year when it's customary to eat sweet mochi balls. Every other weekend I'll be here for the boba drinks. And in the summer, I'll be here for the crushed ice desserts. Well staffed for a soft opening mid-pandemic, but still look half an hour from waiting in line to ordering to waiting again for my dessert. No seats allowed yet indoors, but plenty of space to wait. The menu is a little hard to read from afar but they have printed versions once you get to the front. Can't wait for them to open the tables for seating - I imagine they might be packed every weekend though.
google avatar

Sharon L.

Yelp
Finally got to try meet fresh!! I was so excited that they finally opened and it definitely did not disappoint. The store front is right in the middle of Allston so very accessible! Their store has a decent amount of seating so great if you want to sit in, relax and enjoy your dessert. The taro ball signature was nice sweet but not too sweet. The mochi was delicious, very nicely chewy and the taro had a nice creamy texture. The ice below was refreshing. The only thing that was a bit off was that all the sugar was on the bottom so some parts seemed a little bland while the bottom was more sweet. As for the grass jelly signature that was really delicious. The sweetness level was balanced through the entire dessert. The mochi was nice and chewy and the grass jelly provided a balanced and refreshing taste. Definitely a great place to stop by after dinner!

Yc W.

Yelp
So yummy !!! The shaved ice with the expertly cooked taro and boba, what is not to like! Wish it's easier to park to enjoy it more.
google avatar

Andrew C.

Yelp
Finally. Literally waiting for this to open since before the pandemic started. But basically, this is your go to traditional Taiwanese desserts. IYKYK
google avatar

Gennie L.

Yelp
meet fresh has all the asian desserts! i always order the icy taro signature bowl, which comes with taro, potaro balls, boba, and shaved ice. the bowl is quite big - usually i share with a friend or two. on average, the bowls are $11-12. my friends and i were disappointed because they are EXTREMELY stingy with their creamers. we offered to pay for the creamer, yet they still refused to give it to us. when they finally were willing to accept the payment, they said cash only. apparently the creamer only comes with grass jelly. it can get crowded at night and you'll often have to wait for a table. the servers are ok - not the friendliest and some were rude. overall rating: 5/10

Warisara S.

Yelp
I came along for my vacation in Boston and I think the people here are really nice until I walked into this place. A male staff with the blond hair. We ordered 2 bowls dessert and they gave me 1 cream. I just asked if we can have another one, that staff just said there it is (and pointed to the only cream I already have on my tray) then walked away. Food is good but...Bad service !!! Bad attitude!!!
google avatar

Angela L.

Yelp
Amazing Taiwanese dessert spot with ample seating and great ambiance. Taro & sweet potato balls are to die for & the ice under the grass jelly was shaved so finely. Unfortunately I've been to a Meet Fresh at a different location where the quality was not up to par but this location is amazing & you won't regret it!!
google avatar

Sophia G.

Yelp
I ordered 1 oolong tea. Nothing complicated. I watched what I thought was my drink just sit there behind the counter. After 10 minutes, I checked on my drink, without even checking, looking or trying, the guy told me it wasn't ready. After 10 more minutes I watched the guy put the same drink I was watching for the last 20 mins onto the pick up counter. 20 minutes for an iced oolong tea. Absolutely ridiculous. Ice is melted, boba is hard. I don't understand why you would continue to make other orders when 10 orders have been fulfilled and you just leave it sitting behind the counter to melt? Honestly, 0/5 if I could.
google avatar

Fiona W.

Yelp
It was not the best. Not sure if I ordered badly or if it just isn't the best place. I ordered the Icy Grass Jelly Signature. The grass jelly was not the best but better than everything else. The cream was a small cup of Coffee Mate..., which didn't taste good. In general, it wasn't very sweet, and that's coming from someone who usually orders boba with 25% sugar. I wouldn't order the Grass Jelly Signature again. The staff are pretty nice and orders are finished relatively quick. I wish I ordered Shave Ice or another item on the menu and I'd go back to give Meet Fresh another taste.
google avatar

Elly W.

Yelp
Quaint environment with an extensive menu. There was a lot of people so it took maybe like 10 mins to stalk a table for 5. We ordered the icy grass jelly signature which has taro balls, grass jelly shaved ice and grass jelly. The grass jelly was fresh and it wasn't too sweet. It's very refreshing. We also got the mango and passion fruit green tea with lychee topping. There's no option to adjust the sugar and we asked if it was sweet, they said no ... which was a lie, we couldn't drink it and had to dilute it down at home. The last item ordered was pudding & Q Mochi milk shaved ice. That included almond pudding, caramel pudding, mini q, q Mochi, melon jelly and ice cream. It wasn't too bad, the best thing was the almond pudding. Overall would definitely come back and try other items.
google avatar

Yevin C.

Yelp
don't come here. we ordered the hot grass jelly soup and we received a bowl of lukewarm soup w 2 tiny taro balls and barely any other toppings. for $10 ??? when I went up to ask for some more toppings they refused saying that that was the normal topping portion size. save your time and money !
google avatar

Stephen Y.

Yelp
I didn't come this far just to come this far. Remember. I didn't come this far just to come this far. Ordered a icy taro ball signature and ended up receiving a bowl containing 75% plain ice.
google avatar

Isabelle W.

Yelp
I was really looking forward to trying this place, but overall, just had a very okay experience. The dessert was pretty decent, but the lack of flexibility in their menu is a nightmare. Why can't you substitute same value toppings within a combo if every combo has an issue?
google avatar

Lina L.

Yelp
I came here on a hot day and ordered the medium size for Pudding & Q mochi milk shaved ice. Even though it was a medium, sharing it between two people was more than enough. The ice had flavor and tasted like it was incorporated with condensed milk. I felt like the caramel pudding was lacking in flavor compared to the almond pudding. The Q mochi was my favorite topping as it was packed with brown sugar flavor and was just yummy paired with the shaved ice. I would come back here to try their other stuff!
google avatar

Karen I.

Yelp
Love it!!! I've always wanted a place like this to open up in the Boston area. I was indifferent of the ice cream and taro paste but the mochi texture of the taro starch stuff in there was delicious, the ice, herbal jelly and cream all went well together. (Not overly sweet and not plain flavoring) Noticed it was pretty busy when I went on a Friday night. I would definitely come back to try more items off the menu! It did not disappoint :)

Shirley W.

Yelp
I've only stopped by here a couple times and gotta say, shaved ice is always on point here! FYI: Use the door at the corner of the street near the traffic light NOT the door near the bench in front of the restaurant. Meet fresh is accessible by train, Harvard Ave is the closest, Packards Corner if you want to walk a bit. There's plenty of parking but pay attention to signs, main streets are mostly 1-2 hours parking/ meters. Any smaller streets are likely Residential Parking. Both shaved ice I've had here had been served super fast! You order at the front and they give you a buzzer like a panera :) There are napkins at the counter when you grab your dessert and can always ask them for more spoons :) Between the 5 of us, a medium was waaaay more than enough! Once you've finished, you can briing the tray to the back corner, opposite of the orderiing systems. Service and experience is seamless and perfect. The ONLY thing that held me back from making this a 5 star review was during our last experience, patrons non stopped opened those restroom doors and sitting near the restrooms, smells were wafting in. Not only that, there was a homeless man outside who kept staring and making faces. There is another door to the outside near the restrooms and when some patrons used that door to leave omfg some pungent ordors starting floating into the restaurant. It was super unpleasant. The employees did their best and blocked the door with chairs in hopes that other patrons won't use it. There really isnt much they can do about the homeless people hanging out/potentially defecating in front of the door BUT props to them for trying to figure something out.

Yelp
I'm from California and I know Meet Fresh is a hugely popular Taiwanese dessert chain. However, this location fell short of its mark. Shaved Ice - all the toppings were put at the bottom of the cup and shaved ice was poured on top. This meant we had to eat spoonfuls of ice before reaching any toppings. "Hot" red bean soup - the soup was lukewarm and we had two large chunks of taro which were difficult to eat. The toppings of taro balls are underwhelming to the American palate, since it's very mild and not sweet at all. Not all was a miss though - the sesame rice balls (known as "Tang Yuan") were absolutely delicious. These are balls of rice filled with a creamy sesame paste filling. If you're expecting sweeter desserts or you're non-Taiwanese, try their sesame rice balls, or wait for their seasonal summer shaved ice items. (Perhaps the missteps could be attributed to training and staffing issues as they deal with long lines? If they work out all the kinks, they could become a mainstay of Allston's Koreatown and attract an even bigger Asian demographic.)

Yelp
Like many others, I have literally waited YEARS for this place to open. I arrived maybe 10 minutes afer they opened at 1pm on a Sunday and the line was out the door! It did take a little long to receive two drinks and a dessert, but it was understandable since the place was pretty packed and just starting out. I highly recommend the Mini Q & Black Sugar Boba Fresh Milk! It's my absolute favorite.

Yelp
Came here on a Sunday around 6pm and it wasn't as busy as the post-dinner rush. We were able to find a table quickly. For two of us, we got the Icy Taro Ball Signature. I also ordered a Fluffy Green Tea with Boba for myself. Both came out relatively quickly. The texture of the small balls were perfectly chewy and the whole thing was a moderate amount of sweetness. Would definitely get again!
