Meet Qin Noodle Review - Alhambra - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Meet Qin sits on a stretch of Main Street in Alhambra with excellent food—including dim sum at Lunasia or stir-fried Indonesian dishes from Borneo Eatery—but this noodle joint holds its own. Hand-pulled noodles are available in three ways: in soup, stir-fried, or dry. The sizzling oil biang biang noodles are as head-turning as the fajitas at Chili’s, still sputtering as the chili crisp blooms in the hot oil. The noodle soup isn’t as performative, but the clear broth with tender beef chunks is pure comfort. There are also fun riffs, too: mapo tofu noodles arrive with generous amounts of cubed silken tofu and fiery minced pork, while the egg and tomato soup is gently sweet with fluffy egg curds." - Kat Thompson

Google
I think I found my favorite local noodle spot ❤️ Meet Qin Noodle is fresh and flavorful. Location is clean and well lit, staff is friendly, service is quick, and prices are great! It’s everything you could ask for. Free parking in the garage nearby. Great spot in downtown Alhambra with lots going on. The “Chinese burger” was fine but felt like a gimmick, not really worth mentioning. But the noodles are out of this world. They’re very fresh and well cooked. We tried the biang biang noodles all 3 ways, stir-fried, soupy, and in the 3-in-1 sauce. It was all delicious but the stir fried cumin lamb stood out in terms of flavor and texture. Highly recommend and will absolutely be back for more!

Google
Service was fast and friendly. We ordered dine in and take out. They wanted the food to be fresh for take out so they cooked it fresh. I had the cumin lamb and cold noodle it was flavorful and the lamb was tender. It did not have the numbing spice like the Northern Cafe one if that helps. I came back here and got spicy cold noodles. It didn’t taste spicy but it upset my stomach and woke me up at 3am :(

Google
I have been dying to try cold spicy noodle. It uses fast food ordering system: you order at the counter and they will bring food to you (but you don't pay until the end). The place is clean and staffs are friendly. Did came out faster than I expected. It also has the best Chinese burger I have tried. The cold spicy noodle was great as well (btw, it's not spicy at all and has a strong fresh garlic flavor).I wasn't impressed with 3-in-1 noodle dish. The noodle lacks texture and tomato paste dominated the flavor. Overall, definitely give this place a try if you are in the neighborhood. 👍

Google
This is my second visit. I had #N11 last visit. It was very good. I ordered a hamburger like sandwich (#R2, a pan toasted crust filled with sliced beef with chili bites) and a plate of cold noodles (item #C1).. I finished every bite and drank the soup to the last drop. Fresh ingredients. No MSG, I did not feel thirsty at all. Definitely worth a try if you are a fan of noodles Parking structure is behind the restaurant, and the rear door is open. They take order at the counter and serve to the table. Pay after you eat. Will return again for other items.

Google
We wondered into Meet Qin not knowing the type of food served here. As both of us can't eat spicy food, we went with the server's recommendations of the beef noodle soup (N1) and biang biang noodle with egg tomato gravy (N12). The noodles are made there and you can certainly taste the freshness.

Google
Decent spot to get your hand-pulled noodle cravings in! I will say SGV has a lot of great shaanxi restaurants, so it’s hard to give out higher ratings, but overall this place was good. It was fast and easy to order, but I’d probably try a few other spots before coming back here. We tried the spicy noodle soup and the sizzling oil Biang-Biang. Both were flavorful but a tiny bit greasy. I would definitely want to try the classic cumin lamb next time but I wasn’t in the mood at the time. Overall decent place!

Google
Absolutely spectacular noodles. Friend told me to try the 3-in-1 which includes tomato sauce and I told her that if I wanted tomato sauce, I'd get spaghetti. However!!!! It was anything but!!! Absolutely spectacular bowl of noodles with different spices and very very thick rice noodles. The marinated pig ears are pretty fantastic as well!!! A must try!!

Google
Food is good. I really love their pepper noodles. I love their skewers. I frequent here often. Lots of very large tables. No small ones I also wish they played a little music or something. I feel like this place could be really trendy if they changed the vibe up a little bit. The guy who takes orders here seems miserable. The woman always has great vibes

Yelp
I'm not sure if we caught them on an off day, but I was shocked by how highly rated this place is compared to the experience we had. First, it took close an hour to get a table on a Tuesday at almost 2pm--hardly peak--and despite numerous tables being open and left for 20 - 30 minutes without being bussed and cleaned. When we did finally get seated, our table was sticky, the utensils had old food stuck on them, and the sauces/seasonings at the table were all empty. They use a QR code ordering system, which would be convenient, if it wasn't apparently being used as an excuse for bad service. The staff mostly ignored us, other than to drop off dishes. We had to go grab clean utensils, napkins, and sauces from other tables ourselves. When they dropped off the soup dumplings, they didn't even notice that several of them had been crushed and burst because they had stacked a bowl of ginger directly on top of them, which is both careless and unsanitary. I would give a lower score if it weren't for the food, which is actually pretty good--but definitely not worth the long wait and bad service. Again, hopefully it was just a bad day.

Yelp
The food is delicious and looks amazing. Cane her with my friend and the food look so delicious that my mouth started watering, I felt it somewhere else too . I would recommend this place to everyone who enjoys some plump juicy dumblings. -Grayson Lee

Yelp
Review #951 2026-015 Food Order: Crab Pork Soup Dumpling (蟹粉小籠) $14.95 Hairy Crab Roe Dry Noodles (大閘蟹蟹粉拌麵) $21.99 Pan Fried Pork Bun (裘家生煎) $6.50 Pancake + Double Eggs + Lettuce + Twisted Cruller (雙蛋油條軟蛋餅) $10.95 Scalded Baby Bok Choy (燙青江菜苗) $5.95 Sticky Rice Shanghai Shu Mai (上海糯米燒賣) $9.95 Twisted Cruller (油條) $3.50 Osmanthus Tofu Pudding (酒釀桂花甜豆花) $6.95 Yuzu Jasmine Iced Tea (柚子茉莉冰茶) $3.99 Payment Discount Tip: 5% discount with cash payment. Auntie Qiu Kitchen is a woman-owned restaurant in Alhambra that's known for their soup dumplings & pan-fried pork buns. I wanted to try a new place in SGV to celebrate New Year's with my brother; we went on the 1st Sunday after NY at lunch rush. There's a check-in kiosk right behind the entrance that texts when your table is ready; arriving at 12:10 PM, we only wait 5-mins. Upon entering, there's this old time Chinese decor that immediately captures your attention (even a cigarette mural near the restrooms in the back), & tantalizing scents that wakes up your taste buds. I already had an order in mind & waited to see what my brother's picks were; it would have been a larger order if my hubby & 15 YO teen was here but she was having one of those days & needed to stay home. I like the convenience of ordering via QR code, but they also gave us a 15-page menu that has pics, which definitely helps with ordering. We definitely over ordered for 3, & my 10 YO doesn't eat much with his child bland palate. They've only been opened 2 hours & Scallion Pancakes were already sold out... what!?! The place was bustling, yet the Pan Fried Pork Bun came quick & pipin' hot! I was careful to bite a tiny hole to minimize burning myself or squirting the soup around our table & our neighbors. Hot, savory soup; soft, fluffy bun; golden, crisp bottom crust... such a satisfying & delish bun! Each item thereafter was staggered just enough for us to clear 1 - 2 plates to fit our table & eat comfortably. The Crab Pork Soup Dumpling also had a rich & savory soup, bold crab flavor with juicy pork, but XLBs stuck to the liner so we lost a lot of soup with the parchment paper used. \(`0´)/ AQK should either oil the liner, or use cabbage/lettuce leaves. I was pleasantly surprised by the Shanghai style soft eggs pancake... this 蛋餅 is soft, yet crisp (from the cruller), & jammed pack with umami flavor (from the sauce)! The crab roe noodles was the most expensive & disappointing dish... the sauce/topping had decent flavor, but not that briny sweetness expected of hairy crab, & the noods were overcooked; I think the Steamed Black Cod would have been a better plate instead. The cruller finally landed, & M was overjoyed with this perfectly fried, crispy, chewy dough stick. There's no veggies section, so a bok choy appetizer was a necessary, lighter dish squeezed in this Shanghai "濃油赤醬" (nong you chi jiang translates as thick, oily, red sauce) lunch; mildly sweet with tender stem & crisp leaves, it had a tad too much soy. The sticky rice shu mai was my 1st, so I have nothing to compare it to; I looked up what it should taste like. I think there's supposed to be pork & mushrooms (do you see any?) mixed in with the seasoned sticky rice, but it lacked flavor depth, though it was filled well. I would bust a gut trying to eat the tofu pudding & saved it for home. The sweet fermented rice wine overpowered the floral sweetness of the osmanthus, which I think would have been better if it was just an osmanthus syrup; I liked the mild, subtle soy flavor & silky texture of the pudding. I sipped my brother's iced tea; it had a nice citrusy yuzu zing to the fragrant, floral jasmine tea. A water bottle is made convenient to self-serve, but it takes awhile for servers to notice for refills during lunch rush. The utensils/condiments (their chili oil/sauce is dope!) container took up some real estate, so more eating, less talking. Sizable menu with mostly moderate price points. Customer service is fast-paced, little warmth or friendliness available; I got what I needed eventually. Park at First Street Parking Structure (refer to Review #938), or try for street parking. If you're looking for some tasty Shanghainese street food that won't put a major dent to your wallet, you gotta stop by Auntie Qiu Kitchen! Recommended: Everything ordered except Hairy Crab Roe Dry Noodles; Pan Fried Pork Bun & Pancake are a must!!

Yelp
Legit Shanghai-style soup dumplings. Auntie Qui Deliscoi's homemade pork soup dumplings are outstanding thin skin, tender pork, and rich, savory broth that explodes in your mouth. Exactly how soup dumplings should be done. The crab soup dumplings were unreal delicate, fresh, and packed with flavor. Authentic, homemade Shanghai comfort food done right. This place is a must if you love real soup dumplings.

Yelp
My dad said this is taste of his childhood. This place is amazing and truly authentic. We had Xiao long bao, shengjian bao, wonton soup, jiangbing with beef, and shumai. Everything was stellar, homemade, flavorful. The wrappers and dough were thin but did not rip, everything had flavorful broth inside. It's a casual place with fast service. The restaurant was busy but we got there right after 11 so we were seated right away at the last available table. After that, it stayed a full house until we left. There is parking in the back. I'll definitely be coming back. I want to try the fried pork chop and scallion noodles

Yelp
I liked the mustard cabbage & pork noodles here. I ordered Togo once and dined in twice. Both times, I ordered non spicy. The flavors were consistent. The broth was yummy. Veggies were fresh. The only time I didn't like it much was when I ordered Togo. I got the spicy noodles. I think the spice chased away the actual flavor. I also tried the scallions noodles. It was not bad. Just not the best. The osmanthus soft tofu pudding was good until we tasted something sour. I think they added wine rice in it. That totally ruined the flavor. Who would want sour tofu? CS was ok. Not that attentive. Kinda slow as well. Foods took awhile to arrive. People who ordered appetizers got it pretty quick. Overall, a good restaurant. I would return for the noodles.

Yelp
After hearing so many great things about Auntie Qiu's I got the chance to try it. I came here with a party of 4 on a Friday evening and it was very busy. Luckily we didn't wait too long as a table just cleared up. The inside of the restaurant is cute and has a modern feel with all the artwork. We shared everything we ordered including the popcorn chicken, pork chop noodle soup, pan fried soup dumplings, chinese egg pancake, black sesame mochi crueller, and shepherd's purse wonton soup. Out of everything the items I would reorder are the chinese egg pancake, popcorn chicken, and noodle soup. These dishes had the most flavor and value. The mochi crueller was interesting but honestly didn't have much flavor. Also, be careful with the pan fried soup dumplings the broth inside is scalding hot. Overall it's a cool spot to check out for Shanghainese food.

Yelp
Auntie Qiu Kitchen brings nostalgic vibes into modern times. Their interior decor is reminiscent of old Taiwan. I feel that a lot of Chinese restaurants are doing that type of decor lately and I dig it. The food here was good except that the Cruller inside the egg pancake was not crispy. It was soggy and felt extra heavy to eat. It was still tasty, but I wouldn't order it again. The Pan-fried Pork Buns ($6.50) were so tasty. I wish the bottom crust was crisper though. The Shepherd's Purse and Pork Wonton Soup ($12.95) was really good. So good that I wanted to buy frozen ones to take home, but they were sold out. As with many of the neighboring establishments next to this place, there's no parking right out front. But you can find a decent amount of free parking across the street toward Wushiland Boba.

Yelp
The food was amazing! The pan fried pork buns were so juicy. We also had their salty soy milk and it was delicious. Loved all the toppings. We were too hungry to take photos but amazing food. You can order with a server or QR code and everything came quickly. They also make the baozi in front of the customers which is fun to watch. Overall totally worth the visit. Decor was pretty fun too!

Yelp
I visited Auntie Qiu with a large group, so I was able to try a bit of everything! I recommend calling in if you have a 4+ group, it seems like the tables slowly fills up throughout the day. What we ordered: - Hairy Crab Roe Dry Noodles: The noodles were chewy and the crab roe gave this a silky texture. This was good to try, but not much flavor aside from the crab roe. - Pan Fried Pork Buns: This is a perfect balance of a crispy bottom with a soft dough on top. The broth inside was steaming hot and was pretty flavorful. I liked how the dough was pretty thin too. - Tea Egg: Yum! This was extremely marinated and a good side dish. - Pork Soup Dumplings: Similar to the pan fried pork buns, the soup dumpling wrapping was thin and filled with flavorful meat and broth! A classic order to your meal. - Shanghai Salty Tofu Pudding: This was savory and paired well with the other dishes we had! - Pancake Beef Wrap - This was good and they added plentiful of beef to the wrap. There was a lot of texture in this dish. I recommend trying this one at least once! - Osmanthus Sticky Rice Cake: This was really chewy and extremely sweet. One bite at the end of the meal for me was the perfect amount. It was delicious though!

Yelp
PAN FRIED PORK BUNS! YOU HAVE TO ORDER THIS. I've been here a total of 4 times now within the past month or two because the pork buns keep calling me back. I've tried a good amount of other dishes that could be hit or miss but the pork buns have been the consistent favorite and honestly my reason for the 5 star rating. What I've ordered: -Pan Fried Pork Buns: I braved a rainy LA drive for this dish and I'd do it again. They have such perfectly crispy bottoms, with flavorful meat inside and the juicy broth is just so SATISFYING. I also really, really appreciate that their version has a much thinner skin/exterior than other restaurants in the area. I actually did not enjoy sheng jian bao in the past as I have had very doughy varieties but this one changed my opinion! I pair it with a light splash of soy sauce/black vinegar mixture and some chili oil crisp that's provided on the table for an extra kick. *Pro tip: Take a very small bite of the skin on one side of the bun for your first bite so you don't risk having an explosion of juice all over your face and clothes lol. -Twisted Cruller Mochi w/Black Sesame: I don't know why I thought this dish was going to be the traditional youtiao chinese donut but stuffed with mochi/made with a chewy dough, then rolled in black sesame powder but it is actually a large glob of mochi sandwiched between 2 youtiao on top and 2 on the bottom, then dusted in the black sesame. It was a very overwhelming dessert for me and my boyfriend, even after taking it to go. We thought it was heavy from all the dough and starch so we wouldn't order it again but it wasn't inherently bad. -Crab Xiao Long Bao: We enjoyed this one! The skin was not as thin as Paradise Dynasty but the flavor was good. We also liked the pork version. -Egg Pancake w/Duck Breast: Not bad. I think this one was just hard to eat when it's not in a handheld format. The duck breast had a really smoky flavor and reminded me of a thick bacon as opposed to a traditional duck. I liked the crispy pancake inside, it just happened to be difficult to cut into portions for sharing. The chili oil crisp was an excellent pairing for this. -Hot Sweetened Soy Milk: Served in a bowl. I haven't had soy milk served in this way but it was nice and warm for a rainy day. Very lightly sweetened. -Crab Roe Noodles: I liked the chewy texture of the noodles but my boyfriend and I agreed the flavor was very mild. I think we were expecting something with a deeper flavor like a sate sauce or garlic but it was more so creamy. We had to add the chili sauce to this one to give it more complex flavors. -Pan Fried Curry Beef Bun: This one was quite disappointing. I think it just wasn't what we were expecting in terms of flavor profile. The curry was overly sweet and the flavor of the beef was more mild. I think you get a strong turmeric or even vegetal flavor as opposed to warm spices. There were a lot of juices in the bun just like the pork ones but it's a much larger bun that comes as just 1 per order. We did enjoy the flakiness of the exterior but that was about it. -Sticky Rice Ball w/Black Sesame: I LOVE black sesame but this one was just okay. The mochi exterior was chewy but there was inconsistent thickness throughout different parts of the mochi ball so some parts were tougher and much thicker which required more chewing to get through all the dough. Orders come out in a small paper box with 2 pieces per order. The mochi has plastic wrap on the outside. I did see a glass case at the front which has all the pre-made rice ball desserts. The restaurant and parking: This restaurant is located on Alhambra's main street. There is free street parking right out front or along the side streets but if it's busy, you can easily park in the structure behind the building and walk over in less than 5 minutes. The restaurant is medium sized with a decent amount of tables. Even on a busy day, my boyfriend and I waited no more than 10 minutes for a table. Lots of old Chinese decor/memorabilia. Restrooms were clean. Service was okay, nothing outstanding. Overall: Such perfect pan fried buns. Will keep coming back just for those.

Yelp
Highly recommend you get on the waitlist because it will get busy. It's a quaint restaurant with very friendly service. And the restroom is clean --- yes!!!!! As for the food, delicious. Pam fried dumplings were amazing. The juice and pork were flavorful. Be careful - it is hot. Loved the tofu. It has a hint of spiciness. I can't wait to come back!!!!

Yelp
Great spot for breakfast! Came here on a Friday morning and it was not crowded. Got the omelette with crispy fritters and ham sausage, pan fried pork bao, salty soy milk, and black sesame mochi donut. The decor in here is really nice. Service was quick and friendly. They offer 5% discount for paying cash. Food was delicious and easy parking in the lot behind.

Yelp
Delicious dim sum! Had such a great experience here. My only mistake was wearing a white shirt. Loved the decor, very fresh, clean, and street style. It was nice to have so much to look at while enjoying the food. The service was great, very attentive and prompt. We ordered a variety of items. A few of them were much juicier than expected, which was a good problem to have. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Food was really tasty and the price is not bad! There were 7 of us (3 were kids) and we ordered A LOT of food that we had to take some home, and our total was about $130 + tip. The place is cute too, nicely decorated and you can sit and watch them make dumplings for too. One star less because you order through your phone and then a couple of items didn't come. I had to bring it up and the excuse was they forgot to tell us they were out of those items. Not sure if it was intentional but I would advise to make sure you check the receipt/orders before you pay and leave.
google avatar

Sara D.

Yelp
I loved this place! We went here after seeing Vic & Jeff's recommendation for the pan fried bun. Took parents here to try it out with us as well and they enjoyed both dishes and the price - huge deal! We got a bunch of dishes but what stood out to me was the pan fried buns because there were so much soup inside and the meat seasoning is just different than other places we've tried. You just have to try it!

Yelp
If you enjoy Asian dumplings, soymilk, and breakfast foods, I recommend Auntie Qiu's for the value. We stopped by at 11:30am on a Saturday and were seated right away. The restaurant is filled with posters and trinkets, giving it an Asian night market vibe. Service was super fast, and our food came out shortly after we ordered. They have QR codes for the menu, but they also gave us a physical menu. Parking: Free parking available at a nearby structure. I usually park at First Street Parking, but around noon it fills up pretty quickly. Food: We ordered both the Shanghai Salty Tofu Pudding and the Salty Soy Milk. This was my first time trying the tofu pudding. It was saltier and had a stronger flavor compared to the soy milk- I personally preferred the soy milk. We also ordered the Pork Soup Dumplings, which are always a hit at SGV restaurants. Auntie Qiu is known for their Pan-Fried Pork Buns, and this was my first time trying them. I was not prepared for how juicy and soup filled they were on the inside. I forgot the proper way to eat them and popped one in my mouth right as the soup burst open. Lastly, we tried the popcorn chicken (they do not have ketchup) and the Crisp Fritter Beef Pancake. The pancake had really crispy bits inside when you take your first bite, which made it pretty unique. Service: Super fast. The restaurant gets busy around brunch, so the servers were running between multiple tables and checked in with everyone. Overall, this is a great casual dining spot along Main Street in Alhambra. There are plenty of things to see and do nearby, along with lots of great boba, coffee, and dessert options.

Yelp
Food was a hit or miss, but we reaaaally liked the pan-fried pork buns. Kinda pricey tho Got the: - scallion oil dry noodle $9.99: not very memorable - braised pork ribs $5.5 - not a fan favorite but was tender tho - sweet osmanthus tofu pudding $6.95 - slight floral taste which I appreciated, but very mild sweetness. I prefer the tofu in dim sum carts with the ginger syrup - pan-fried pork bun (4pcs, $6.5): this was the fan favorite!! juicy inside, meaty, and sizeable! - pancake+double eggs+lettuce+crisp fritter+beef $13.95: basic and lacked flavor. would not get again Was poppin when we stopped by on 10/10/25 Friday around 7pm. Located on a busy street but I believe there's garage parking nearby

Yelp
The restaurant is located in downtown Alhambra. Parking shouldn't be an issue, with a lil bit of walking. The decor of the restaurant is unique and retro. The seatings were well spaced. The service was medicore. They seemed to be under staffed with the amount of traffic. The noodle, the crab xiaolong bao, and shaomai were very tasty. I wished I had the space to eat more, but these were very fulfilling. At the conclusion, it was a very satisfying experience. It's a 4.7 out of 5.

Yelp
"Discovered" Auntie Qiu via Top Chef Melissa King's recommendation, and made for a very nice new place to try! Service is friendly and the decor and ambiance of the place is cute and welcoming. We were a party of 2 and wanted to try different items that we normally don't get to try as well as what they're known for. So we ordered: -Twisted Cruller Mochi (black sesame flavor) - very interesting and satisfying! More of a dessert with this flavor, and had both nutty crispy and chewy-ness -Pan-fried pork buns - these were great! you get 4 in an order -Shanghai Salty Tofu Pudding - Good, although I did not realize it included tiny shrimp (I don't eat seafood) so had to do a bit of maneuvering to avoid them. -Osmanthus Sticky Cake - We just wanted to try this and at this point we were really stuffed, but it was also an interesting dessert -Sticky Rice Shanghai Shumai - This I was so excited for but so disappointed. It was really flavorless, but they were HUGE. Still, being that flavorless really didn't make up for the size. More food than we needed but all was very good and different. Would return to try more items. There is a public parking garage a block away.

Yelp
My wife and I stopped here for late lunch on 10/25/25 since I was craving soup dumplings. Since this restaurant took the place to Qiu Noodles, we wanted to see how it's like. Upon entry, we noticed it was quite crowded with only a couple tables available (at 3pm). We could tell they added more tables than the previous restaurant had. The ambiance was improved with the colorful Shanghai street type art work. In regards to the food itself, it was excellent Shanghainese food! My favorite item out of the various items ordered was the popcorn chicken. It was super crispy, extremely flavorful without being overly salty, and the chicken was incredibly moist. The only dish that was not truly outstanding were the pork soup dumplings. I think it's because I expected the skin to be thinner due to the fact that I've been to other restaurants like Mama Lu's or Din Tai Fung as the point of comparison. Overall, I'd give this restaurant 4.5 stars (rounded up to 5 on Yelp). We will definitely be back the next time we are craving Shanghai style food in Alhambra.

Yelp
This spot is perfect in so many ways. nothing really to critique on all the food we ordered: - savory soymilk (unsweetened) - double egg pancakes - Panfried buns - soup dumplings (XLB) the portions is great for one person or to share so you can definitely order more and try different things on the menu. Don't come here if you are in a hurry/rush, dishes come out one by one. I personally enjoy it better, i can savor each dish while they are still hot.

Yelp
Came here bc my foodie friend, Linda recommended this place on her Instagram. The ambiance is relaxed. Family friendly restaurant. Everything on the menu is soo delicious and unique. I highly recommend this spot.

Yelp
Auntie Qiu Kitchen delivers comforting Shanghainese dishes in a modern space covered with Chinese film posters. Scallion Oil Noodles: The noodles are thin and elastic. There's a subtle umami flavor from a touch of soy and the aromatic scallion-infused oil. There are some crispy fried scallions on top, but the bowl could do with a bit more. Braised Pork Meatball: The Shanghainese call this a lion's head. Normally, napa cabbage would form the mane. This version is available as a noodle topping, so there's no cabbage. The minced pork is red braised in soy, wine, sugar, and anise, a technique resulting in a rich, tender, flavorful meatball. This is a good combination since the noodles are rather neutral while the lion's head is robustly seasoned. Tear off bits of the juicy meatball and enjoy a rich of sweetness with the slick noodles. Parking: There's a raised parking garage in the back. The front door entrance is on Main Street.

Yelp
Stopped into Auntie Qiu's for a late lunch so the place was relatively empty. It's very cutely decorated with lots of red, chinese posters, and large murals to give that Shanghai/Canto cafe vibe. We ordered a lot of things to share and some that my friend said were reminiscent of her time living in China. What we ordered: + Crab soup dumplings: must get, so much soup yet a thin wrapper and really flavorful. + Double egg pancake with sausages: Crispy yet fluffy and good filling. I got another one of these to-go but with beef and was still very tasty. I preferred the beef over sausage as was more flavorful. + Cold wontons - wontons tasted more like dumplings to me. Was my least favorite dish but was a last minute added. + Black sesame mochi cruller - for dessert and was tasty! I love the sesame powder and was light and airy. Only thing that wasn't available that we really wanted was the crab roe noodles so will have to come back to try. The homemade chili oil was also delish and we added that to everything. Would come back for the soup dumplings and to try the crab roe noodles!

Yelp
Style like Peach Oolong Iced Tea is very tasty and creative. All kinds of Dim Sum are juicy and delicious! Pan Fried Bun and Potsticker must be ordered. Crab Pork Soup Dumpling is my favorites.

Yelp
First time at Auntie Qui Kitchen and it felt like I was in Asia! Hairy crab roe dry noodles - the sauce was so good I wanted to lick the bowl! Pan-fried pork buns - flaky crust, perfectly crispy, not too oily, and piping hot Crab & pork soup dumplings - very tasty, delicate, and satisfying Full house on a Saturday, but seated right away with great service. Authentic flavors + cozy vibe = a must-visit! 16 W Main St, Alhambra, CA 91801 #AuntieQuiKitchen #AlhambraEats #AsianFoodVibes #CrabRoeNoodles #PanFriedBuns #SoupDumplings #FoodieFinds #SupportLocal

Yelp
I was in the Alhambra neighborhood. I happened to take sight on Auntie Qiu Kitchen while across the street. I was curious what type of cuisine it specializes in. As advertised, they serve super delicious Shanghainese food! I had to walk on over and give them a try. Upon entry, I said I came to the right place. When there are lots of people dining in and eating, it's a good sign. They were super busy. I stood at the counter for a few minutes before someone greeted me. When I was finally attended to, I was given the attention and care. Thank you young man. I basically got the popular items to-go. Wow, everything and I mean everything was very delicious except for the Pancake+Double Eggs item. Eggs are meant to be eaten right away not several hours later. I'll have to try them again the next time I dine in. 1. Pan-Fried Pork Bun - nice and juicy plus lightly crispy at the bottom, very flavorful pork filling, WINNER! 2. Pork Potsticker - outer skin was tough, pork filling was a tad dry 3. Pork Soup Dumpling - very juicy and tasty 4. Scallion Oil Dry Noodle - wonderful overall in taste and texture 5. Bean Curd Wrap Pork & Vermicelli Soup - pork was delicious, soup was light and savory, wished there were more bean curd wrap pork, WINNER! 6. Pancake+Double Eggs+Lettuce+Crisp Fritter+Ham Sausage - unfortunately, I did not get to eat it right away, it's hard to give it a fair grade Overall, food was delicious. Ambiance was hip. Wall art and decor were unique and different. Great dining space. Some staff may not speak English very well. Please be patient. Free parking at Mosaic parking structure. I will be back to dine-in next time.

Yelp
We came pretty early in the evening and sat right away. Service is fast. We ordered 7 dishes. Except for the Shanghai salty soy milk, everything else was really good.

Yelp
In the area and they opened at 10 AM, getting brunch today. Every item was delicious, I am just impatient and don't want to wait for the hot items to cool down.

Yelp
First time coming to Auntie Qiu! The restaurant is so cute and decorated with old movie posters and other Chinese decorations. They even have a giant zimomo dressed in traditional Chinese headwear by the register, haha. They specialize in Shanghainese food including soup dumplings so of course my friend and I ordered the crab soup dumplings. We also got the double egg pancake with sausages, the cold wontons and the black sesame mochi cruller. All of the food was really good. They also have this hot pepper oil that is so flavorful and has a nice kick to it. I literally added that chili oil to everything we ordered since it was so good. The soup dumplings were so juicy and a must get. The skin was pretty thin too! You can see their chefs making the soup dumplings too. Service was really good. The servers were really patient with us since the item we had originally wanted to order (crab roe noodles) was out of season and not available so we had to choose something else instead. At the end of our meal, they said to check back with them in the middle of this month when the crabs are back in season so we're looking forward to that! I really liked the black sesame mochi cruller for dessert. It was packed with a sugary black sesame powder. They were not skimpy on it so I appreciated that.

Yelp
Did we find our new breakfast spot?? What a fun place with amazing decor! Service is also great - we were struggling with the QR code, so one of the servers came by and just took our order - yay for still having that option! Never change. The inside makes you feel like you're dropped into....maybe a sci-fi version of propagandized cultural revolution era China that's also kind of modern. They have a huge poster that indicates there's 3650 days til the 高考...I mean, I don't know why they are counting down 10 years (unless I'm just reading all of this wrong), but it furthers the mystery of this space. The food is really good. They have a savory soy milk that is NOT curdled (Taiwanese salty soy milk usually has some vinegar in it, which curdles the soy) - this one has a clean flavor that I've never had before. Delicious. Not that I prefer this over the Taiwanese 鹹豆漿, but I appreciate the difference. We also got the egg crepe, which comes with a sweet and savory sauce, and also the oil stick (油條 hehe) with mochi and black sesame - this was innovative and delicious! And their oil stick is SO well made - probably one of the best oil sticks I've had recently. Delicious all around. The only thing that I thought was just meh was the scallion pancakes. Tasty, yes. Not so unique. Prices are very reasonable here. Their bathrooms are gendered and have amenities. Parking is in one of the many free lots in Alhambra off Main Street.

Yelp
Came here because of online videos but everything was okay. I like how the dumplings are made in house and in front of you but the skin were sticking to each others. Dumplings were in way deflated. Prices were a bit on a higher ends, especially the crab roe noddle since it was more noodle than the sauce mixture, making it a bit dry. Flavors seem to be lacking as well. As for service wise, one server was nicer than the other one. Inside was nice and clean. As dinner time hits, the restaurant gets pretty packed.

Yelp
Food was overpriced. Spent $80 for 3 people to eat. We went for the cod and scallion pancakes and they were both "sold out" at 1pm on a Tuesday. Super bummed and ordered other stuff. Not sure why the pork chop was thrown into the soup and was soggy gross and mostly an inedible bone. Watched a couple of unsanitary things happen and had to ask multiple times for help so service was definitely lacking. Only thing good was the coconut dessert balls.

Yelp
This place is Shanghainese style. Amazing food and service. The Xiao Long Bao with pork was very delicious and juicy. Dare I say better than Dinh Thai Fung (8 pieces). Also the pancake+double eggs+lettuce+crisp fritter+beef and Shepherds Purse and pork wonton (10 pieces) was also delicious. Dessert: Osmanthus Ice Jelly $8. (Tastes like brown sugar, and peanut). Overall a high recommend.

Yelp
TL;DR - good food here, not a long wait. Twisted cruller mochi (black sesame flavor) is pretty to look at, but only tastes okay. Pan fried pork buns are a winner. Sliced pork and pickled mustard greens noodle soup has great broth. Fried pork chop sticky rice cake is alright because it's a lot of work to cut away the bones and to cut the rice cake into smaller bite-sized pieces. The food is pretty good here. Very fast service and the restaurant was full when I arrived. Luckily we didn't have to wait any more than 5 minutes because of the fast turn over. Despite the number of customers, it's not too noisy so it was very easy to talk here. We go the twisted cruller mochi (black sesame flavor) which is essentially youtiao with a generous layer of mochi on top and further covered with black sesame powder. It was a really unique dish. It didn't have a ton of flavor despite how nice it looked but it was still good. The highlight of our meal was the pan fried pork buns (comes with 4 of them). The thickness of the skin/outer covering was nice and thin, but thick enough to hold a nice solid spherical shape. The surprise was the amount of juice on the inside. It's a very impressive amount and it tastes great. Coupled with the outer covering, there are several nice layers of flavor in this dish. The sliced pork and pickled mustard greens noodle soup was also good. The best part about this dish was the soup. Very very flavorful. It wasn't thin neither. It had a nice thickness to it and we'd get it again. Lastly we got the fried pork chop sticky rice cake. It was okay and I don't think I'd get it again. The fried pork chop is exactly as you'd expect and they deliver on the flavor and texture. We just were a big fan of having to knife and fork the bones away as well as the sticky rice cake. If the sticky rice cake wasn't already covered in sauce, then you'd be spending just as much time cutting it into smaller pieces to enjoy. Overall, not bad of a place! I'd come back here :)

Yelp
Their Chinese food was pretty solid, and they serve all the different types of dumplings. The pan fried pork buns were at the perfect temperature, and the broth inside was not burning hot. My parents liked the proteins in both the soup and pancake. The food came out well-paced as well. Cool wall art and overall a nice restaurant to try out.

Yelp
Delicious food, big portions, fun ambiance. Kids particularly enjoyed the pan fried bao and the noodle with meatballs (lion head).

Yelp
I've driven by multiple times and there's usually a line, so I decided to finally give it a try. We came for dinner as a group of four. The restaurant is pretty spacious. Portions are on the smaller side, but so are the prices, which makes it easy to order and try a variety of dishes. Overall, the food was pretty good, though my favorite pan-fried buns are still the ones at Kang Kang Food Court.

Yelp
This place has excellent tofu products. Very smooth and great taste. Many of their stuff are freshly made. Worth a try. We had crab xlb. Pan fried pork buns. Salty tofu. Unsweetened ice tofu. All are good Parking on street or nearby structure. Takes credit card

Yelp
This review is only for take out (which I forgot to take pictures of before digging into the food at home). Nonetheless, my first impression of this restaurant is positive. The staff were very friendly and helpful when I had questions about the menu. Well organized menu, ordering was easy, and the food was prepared in record speed (around 10 minutes). Inside, the restaurant is clean, well-maintained, tables stocked, no sauce or oil stains on the communal sauce dispensers. The red color and decor are warm, cozy, and inviting. The food was delicious! I got vegan "chicken" soup noodles and scallion noodles. The food was simple but rich in flavor. Noodles were soft but still chewy, the gluten "chicken" tasted of five spice which I usually don't enjoy, but they seasoned it so perfectly that I rather liked it! Soup base was full of umami. I also bought an Osmanthus tofu flower dessert as well as sweet rice red bean cakes. The sweet rice cake was soft, had great mouth feel and texture, filled with not overly sweet red bean paste. I look forward to trying more of their dishes! A few savory of vegetarian / vegan options (could be more, but I'm still thankful) and many vegetarian / vegan desserts!

Yelp
Pleasantly surprised of Auntie Qiu Kitchen. I've passed by this place many times, but never thought to try it until today when a friend wanted to try it. We ordered both flavors of XLB, preserved veg/shredded pork soup, pan fried pork bun, and the bok choy. All the food that we ordered was delicious. The ambience is clean. Service was ok. They seemed a bit short staffed. I'm definitely coming back for the noddles which was my favorite.

Yelp
Finally got around to trying this place and ordered way too much but I got to try a lot of dishes! I wasn't able to get a picture of all but overall a good experience. What I loved: - Pan fried buns! I think maybe one of the BEST ones in SGV. SO juicy, so flavorful, crispy, fluffy, and not oily. - scallion noodle: not a lot going on with ingredients but very tasty and great texture What was good: - shumai dumpling: seems handmade, could use a little more seasoning - pork XLB: tasty and a good option but I prefer prince dumpling - pork chop noodle soup: pork chop was pretty good and flavorful despite being in the soup - wonton soup: wontons tasted good and had a thin wrapping Pass: - egg omelette pancake: beef was not great - jellyfish: super hard and no flavor - beef noodle soup: beef was not good, noodle soup was mid - mochi donut? So oily and couldn't eat it

Yelp
Highly Recommend Auntie Qiu Kitchen!! Looks like this is their 2nd location and I would love one closer to us in Chino ---pan fried pork buns: crispy, juicy and better than a famous place in SF, these were less sweetl ---black sesame twisted crueller mochi: SO GOOD! Never had anything like this, the mochi chew paired well with the fried cruelly ---shanghai shumai: we usually dont like Shanghai style shumai because my husband prefers meat but this version is so flavorful even he enjoyed it ---wonton with shepherds purse: if your craving soup, this felt very traditional ---tofu pudding both osmanthus: not my favorite flavoring had it odd after taste but would like to try the other desserts next time Will have to try the egg pancakes next time!

Yelp
+1 star for the outstanding service: The staff really went above and beyond to make me feel welcome, even as a solo diner close to closing time (I noticed they started turning away diners ~15 minutes before closing). They were incredibly attentive and kind. +1 star for the food and portion sizes: Everything I ordered was delicious, and the portions were generous enough to take home leftovers. Definitely a great value for what you get. The chili oil is so good! +1 star for the vegetarian options: I appreciated having a nice selection to choose from, and everything tasted fresh and flavorful. +1 star for the easy check-in process: The iPad waitlist system at the door made it super simple to see how long the wait was and when to come back. And of course, +1 star for the overall experience: Despite a spilled dessert mishap on my part, they handled everything with grace and made sure I left happy. Overall, the ambiance, food, and experience was wonderful. I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
We thoroughly enjoyed our meals here that included their signature pan fried buns as well as popcorn chicken, wassabi-infused scallops, and soup dumplings. We also tried their coconut-tapioca balls. They were all very delicious! We enjoyed the food so much that we came here twice during our vacation in the area. Highly recommend!!! We parked in the city garage behind the building. 4 hours free parking.
