"Megs’ Aussie Milk Bar is the product of Newport native Meg marrying Aussie Haydn, and together bringing a slice of the down under food culture back to Rhode Island. Milk bars are to Australia what diners are to America, specializing in tasty breakfast options, snacks, and milkshakes. Locals love the flaky hand pies, anzac cookies, and fresh smoothies. Australians take their coffee seriously and Meg's is no exception, there is an extensive coffee menu and all the milk used comes from the pasture-raised cattle on nearby Blackbird farm. (Americans take note: a long black is Aussie speak for an americano.) "

Cozy, friendly, and inviting with delicious food! My girlfriend and I had brunch there and were so happy we stopped by. We both had an omelette that had a great gooey cheese and their coffee selection was awesome! Aussie favorites along with traditional hot and cold brews. Would highly recommend and is more tucked away than other more popular breakfast spots on corners.

I always swing by here every time I’m in town for their Australian meat pies. I fell in love with these types of pies after backpacking though Australia and it’s great that we have something like this here in the New England area. From their menu: “A milk bar is traditionally a suburban social venue and snack bar that sold light refreshments, fresh sandwiches, hamburgers, milkshakes, meat pies, various sweets, groceries, and newspapers. The traditional Australian milk bar enjoyed its heyday during the 1940s–1980s, much like the American Diner.” Swing by for their meat pies and other breakfast items. They have a really good flat white as well!

This is a great, fun little restaurant! The breakfast food here is FANTASTIC, and comes at a great price too! The potatoes we had were great, but everything in general was quite tasty. We liked it so much, that we went here twice for breakfast! The staff here is great, too — so friendly. Would definitely come back if I was in Newport again.

This place is so eclectic! Tasty, fresh food served by a smiley Aussie named Hadyn. Fun decor to look at, fast service. Worth a visit. I had the pad Thai chicken wrap and DH had lamb sandwich (which they are know for). Loved sitting at the bar by the window for people watching.

I was in town for a wedding so I knew I needed a filling breakfast. This was a great choice! I had a Flat white (pictured) and a Big Brekkie (pictured) with eggs over well and whole wheat toast. It was delicious!! Meg was our server (also the owner) and was fabulous. She made us feel right at home! I would highly recommend stopping in here!!

Tasty! Nice.to see healthy options and different kind of breakfast place. The Veg Egg bowl was flavorful and great, crispy homefries!home fries! Dog friendly outside. There's 1 outdoor table, but dog friendly nonetheless.

Visiting from N.J. Came here for breakfast at 8am. Can’t say enough good things! Fast and friendly service, amazing food, great prices! Got the avocado toast (added 2 eggs on top), kids got chocolate chip pancakes. All was delicious. The ice Australian coffee was smooth and rich, not too sweet, and made me want a second! If your in town I definitely recommend a visit.
