"Last Friday, chef Megan Coombes and business partner Lex Petras opened Meg's Hamburgers in Pioneer Square, where they’re paying homage to old-school burger joints with retro elements like cushy baby-blue stools alongside modern touches like fries cooked in beef fat and shakes made with high-end chocolate and coffee from neighboring Intrigue Chocolate Co." - Adam H. 12/6/18: I live in Pioneer Square and visit Altstadt often so I was excited to check out Meg's. I ordered the Deluxe burger with cheese and fries. It reminded me of In and Out, which I like. The service I received was lukewarm and my burger was pretty smashed but it still tasted good.

I honestly don’t know why everyone is scoring this place so low. Had a great experience. I live in the area and needed a quick bite to eat so decided to run in and grab a burger. Was greeted pleasantly, ordered a double with cheese and waited in a comfy booth for my to-go order. The place is spotless. Someone else came in and even commented on how clean it was. Don’t come expecting fancy. If you want smashed burger, they do it right. A perfectly seasoned crusted patty with a rosy interior, a soft melt in your mouth bun- just what a dirty little burger should be.

Meg's is a great location to grab a quick bite to eat without breaking the bank. Below $10, Meg's offers a deluxe hamburger and fries with a water for dine-in or to-go. The atmosphere is popping, it has excellent music, nice people and plenty of room to sit. All the wrappers, cups, place-mats and utensils are compostable, which is rare to see for a hamburger joint. It also has some pretty nice people to be around. Check this place out and I'm sure you won't be disappointed. 4.5 stars out of 5.

Meg's was not bad! We walked pass it looking for a quick bite and got the fishwich, burgers and soda. Tasted v okay. The seatings were comfortable enough. Reasonable pricing too.

Well I wanted to change my rating from bad to good, but I just can't. This was my third time here, I came back because the burger does taste pretty good, except for tonight. I absolutely hate mustard on my burger and there was mustard on it, and that's not even listed on the menu. 2 out of the 3 times I've come the fries were only filled halfway. This time the fries were soggy. I was aware I wouldn't be getting much for my money here, but I came back anyway to give it a try, only to be disappointed again. Burger is VERY small, fries were soggy and there was mustard on the burger. Guess this time I learned my lesson. You don't get much for the price AT ALL. :( taste is good but I should have spent $11 at McDonald's. I would at least be full...

Happy I dived into Meg's for a cheeseburger, fries and a milkshake. A bit shocked at the $13 pricetag for all of that so 4 stars out of 5 - but the fries were pleasantly spicy, the cheese was well layered and the chocolate milkshake was pleasantly thick. Real close to two Seattle Streetcar stops and a few blocks from Sound Transit HQ & the International District Link light rail stop. Want to come back to try out the soda pop machine!

Got the deluxe burger as a meal. The burger was pretty good and about the size you'd expect for the price in the area. The fries leave alot to be desired however. My cup of fries was full of burnt bits and pieces.

I was craving a milkshake after work and decided to pop in here for a burger, fries, shake experience. I ordered a fish sandwich just to try it as well. Milkshake burger and fries were good, nothing to write home about, and the fish sandwich was overcooked and so crispy I had to pull the sandwich apart to eat it. So much mayo on the fish sandwich...so much mayo...and I'm a mayo fan, but wow. My food sat on the counter for a few while the girl behind the counter was occupied with texting. I'll have to get my shake and burger fix someplace else...
