I was lucky to get seats as a table had just left. This small restaurant only had a handful of tables, one of which was temporarily used to place some items. The other tables were groups of friends and families who seemed to be having a very good time. I felt this very good energy and vibe upon entering and it made me very excited to try the food at this 2018 Michelin Bib Gourmand entrant. The food did not let down. I have visited Taiwan many times and tried lots of local cuisines but Meili still managed to surprise me. Even a simple and ubiquitous Dried Pickled Radish Omelette (菜脯蛋) could be so good and interesting. I won't describe everything that I tried here but take their recommendations. I still dream about the Braised Intestines (滷腸). This place should not only be recommended, it should be a Must Visit.

This was a very disgusting meal experience. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME, THERE ARE MANY NICE PLACES TO EAT IN TAIPEI. The restaurant has very limited dishes, mostly liver, kidney, intestine. We ordered 4 dishes, shrimp roll, loofah pancake, Kai Yang cabbage, stir fried squid. Each dish was extremely oily, but it took 15 to 20 min interval between each dish. I ordered a soup, just a simple cabbage soup with meatball, cost only NT290, but it took 45 mins to arrive. The restaurant of the 3 tables also waited around helplessly for 1 dish to arrive slowly.... There was 1 table of 5 that asked the lady to pack each dish as it arrived. I am writing this review so that others will not have to go through the ordeal that I went through.

Recommended by Michelin, this authentic Taiwanese restaurant had been on my list for a while. It's best to get a group of 8-10 people so that a banquet style dinner could be ordered. This was a very enjoyable meal. The garlic chicken soup was my favorite, very special flavor, not too oilly, very tasty. The winter melon pancake might seem simple, but had great texture. The Taiwanese traditional sweet and sour fish was fresh. The diakon with pig's intestines was well cooked, flavorful. Pretty much everything was delicious. Service was a bit slow, but we didn't mind taking our time to enjoy the food!

Clean and delicious. They may only provide service for up to 4-5 tables. If it is full of guest, you may wait for the cuisine.

An usual Taiwanese cuisine restaurant which carries what the original tastes. No fancy decorations. The current setting has been renovated a few years ago. The menu is limited to around 20 dishes but each dish features the original tastes. Not overly salty. The only disappointment is that it closes at 2100🥴

Visit here because she ever got a Michelle award. But Meet average, and no wonder the award was for 2018.19 and 2020.
