"This mom-and-pop restaurant has been the go-to for Cypress residents seeking Vietnamese fare for over 20 years. The extensive menu includes favorites such as rice plates, noodle soups, and vermicelli bowls in addition to its banh mi sandwiches, which are stuffed with your choice of chargrilled pork, chicken, Vietnamese cold cut, meatball, or fried tofu — all for under $6. Spring for the house special — a beef steak sandwich that is filled with tender, marinated beef." - Minh Truong, Brittany Britto Garley

Google
Fast service, tidy sweet restaurant and good food. I had a vegan banh mi with tofu and it’s was delightful. Portion is maybe a little light (price is fair) so if you’re hungry get a side. Make sure to specify your dietary restrictions.

I was on my way home from work and was craving spring rolls. I looked at this place and wanted to try it out since there was very good comments. They were not lying. The staff is very nice, food was so yummy 😋 and very affordable with a large meal portion. Thai tea was delicious w/ tapioca 😍

Google
Great service very friendly! The food was absolutely phenomenal. The tofu bahn mi was very flavorful and fresh! The pork and egg bahn mi was delicious too. The spring rolls were very large and the shrimp were fresh with a good texture! My favorite part of the meal was the Vietnamese coffee sweetened with condensed milk! Overall delicious meal, great value for the portions and friendly customer service! We’ll definitely be back soon, I highly recommend!

Google
Amazing! The food was so fresh, flavorful, and ready quickly! I've been here twice and it was even better the second time! Definitely will be coming back. The atmosphere is pretty and quiet. I'm craving more food from here already and compared to other asian restaurants, these prices are great!!

Gerard Manzanares

Google
Little mom and pop shop/family owned and run with great sandwiches and pho and great prices! Literally $5.75 for an incredible sandwich at the time of the post. Most Pho bowls are $11. They have a kids pho (dine in only) for $5! A great deal!!

Lenin Mathew

Google
Grilled pork banh mi was delicious. Great amount of pork, with fresh veggies, and fluffy bread. Pork spring rolls also tasted great and very fresh. Would def recommend.

Google
Love this place. I've been going there for at least 10 years. They take vacation break between April and May so I was in withdrawls! Try the #31 or the vermicelli bowls! YUMMIE!!!! I just went there for lunch today!!!!!

Google
Everything was delicious! But please don't ignore this message...... you have to let the TURTLES perch! They are semi aquatic creatures and I saw one of the reviews that expressed this. They can't swim all day and need a place to dry off! I'll gladly bring a heat lamp or even buy the turtles just to give them better accommodations

Donna C.

Yelp
Very fresh and authentic. Uses the best bread on its amazing banh mi. The peanut sauce is wonderful and they give a generous serving. My fav are the fresh spring rolls with tofu. The noodles and broth are also a hit. Honestly, it is all fabulous! And the pricing is low (IMO). The inside is what you'd expect - nothing fancy but roomy and tidy. Seldom busy and I hope you'll give it a try. Been eating here since 2009 and never disappointed.

Stacey s.

Yelp
The food and service has been good here. The only complaint I have is the turtles in the fish tank need a log to rest upon or something to stand on. Seems cruel to see them constantly treading water. It hurts my heart to see them when I come in to dine.

Dennis A.

Yelp
Back again - Excellent banh mi sandwiches, pho, spring rolls, and your other Vietnamese faves!

Kaitlyn H.

Yelp
Food is great! One of my favorite places to get a tofu banh mi. Service is good and food comes out fresh. Has a bunch of tables but only a few are taken at a time. Looks clean and casual setting.

Yelp
We were looking for a good banh mi place in our area. There use to be a Mekong restaurant in Cypress but they closed. We use to visit this location years ago so I decided to try them again. This location is about 15 minutes from my house so I was hoping they were good. I ordered 2 grilled pork banh mi, 1 order of grilled pork spring rolls and 1 order of egg rolls. The banh mi sandwiches were delicious. The bread was not to hard actually it was soft and perfect. There was the perfect amount of meat and veggies. Of course if you read my other reviews you know I can not have anything with seeds, nuts, tomatoes so my sandwiches had not jalapeños or cilantro(yuck) with extra carrots. It was very tasty. My husband said it was one of his top 3 banh mi's! The spring rolls were huge and my husband said they were delicious. NOTE: they have a ton of peanuts in them. An order of (fried) egg rolls is 2 for $4.50. I thought that was a little high but ordered anyway. They were...good. They sandwich was better though. Over all, the sandwiches were our favorites of our meal. I would try the egg rolls again, definitely get sandwiches & spring rolls again.

Cheryl U.

Yelp
Always outstanding. From the sandwiches to the soup- I've never had a bad meal. I love supporting this family owned business.

Kenny W.

Yelp
My favorite Banh Mi & Egg roll combo in the cypress area. Very good price for how much food has gone up, and great portions! The lady is so nice and welcoming every time. Always goes above and beyond. Been going here once a week for about a year now and never had an issue. Support this local gem.

Roxanne R.

Yelp
Meet with a friend, and was not disappointed at all. Food was good. The place was a bit older. Overall I did enjoy this restaurant.

Timothy H.

Yelp
This is your average Vietnamese restaurant serving pho, noodle dishes, and sandwiches. We have been here a few times while visiting friends who live in the area. We like it because two people will eat for under $20 (including tip). Their seasoned pork is the best I've had in Houston. I'm not a fan of the shrimp. I usually get pho and my wife will get something different every time. The service is good, very friendly, and adequately prompt. It's not a place you go to if in a rush because all the food (according to them) is made fresh. Each table is kept relatively clean. At least the plates and silverware are all clean. The tables can be a bit "sticky" at times. Overall though, everything is clean...even the bathrooms. The taste of the food is good. It's not out of this world good, but it's still quite good. A solid three stars for this joint that won't let you down.

Yelp
best bbq pork sandwiches!! I have been eating here for over 15 years. Great food.Very nice owners.

Long N.

Yelp
Wonderful place to get a sandwich close to work. We've been going here for over 6 years to get our sandwich fix. It's nestled in a shopping center off Jones Rd. by Jones Food Mart. For lunch, the parking lot usually fills up pretty fast. I wouldn't say that it's the best Banh Mi in Houston but for convenience and the area, it certainly does its job. Service is fast, usually in-and-out in 30 minutes or so. Staff is friendly and the music is always on-point.

Westebrook F.

Yelp
For great Vietnamese, this little gem on the NW side of Houston can't be beat! They've been a part of the fabric of this community forEVER! Love their sandwiches and spring rolls but their soup and noodles are also excellent! Oh! And the smoothies - YUM!

Hiram O.

Yelp
Affordable and delicious. Great fast service for when you're in a rush. They have some of the best marinated pork I always get the bahn mi and vermicelli noodles with egg rolls and pork. Also, make sure to try their smoothies with tapioca, especially the mango one. Solid pho as well. One stop shop for when you're craving Vietnamese food.

Debbi B.

Yelp
Great place for a tasty, nutritious Vietnamese lunch or early dinner. Love their shrimp or pork Vietnamese spring rolls! An order of either one and a cup of soup really meets the need. Their bowls and sandwiches are great, too. I have been enjoying their food for many, many years.

Rick H.

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem! Very friendly staff and great prices! I've had the bahn mi before and it was up there with the best I've had anywhere! Edit: the first part of this review was written years ago. Now for my update: It's still my favorite, or one of my top 3 Bahn Mi places. I've also had a few smoothies there as well as the rolls. I always go back for the Bahn mi and half the time get a smoothie too.

Bernard D.

Yelp
One of the oldest and most established Vietnamese restaurants in the northwest, it's no longer the only game in that part of town. I don't know when it first opened but it was there when I moved to the NW side in 1999. There was an ownership change a few years after that, but the food has remained steady and consistent. The family that owns it now is as authentically Vietnamese as the food. You'll do fine here with standard spring rolls, pho, rice plates, vermicelli plates, and of course the sandwiches. The smoothies are good too, though a little on the sweet side. The competition has grown a lot in the last ten years though. So for Vietnamese I could go to any of the places, but Mekong's soups tend to be more hearty and flavorful, especially the spicy beef noodle soup. I like Kim's Pho Grill on Louetta for sandwiches that have a really good dressing, and Pho Town on 1960 for rolls (including some types like Nem Nung that most of the other places don't have) or when I'm out late. Pho Thang Long on 249 is good overall, a little pricier but along with Kim's has more modern décor. Pho X Trang on 249 is ok too; it's newer but somehow the food just doesn't wow me as much as the other places. Pho Dahn is a steady place on 1960 but with a limited menu focusing mostly on soups. Mekong is a bit of a throwback to the old joke about Asian restaurants being dives with cheap good food. Sometimes Mekong's owners visit Vietnam and the restaurant will close for a few weeks around February. But despite this, and being stuck in a noticeably dated strip mall, it remains one of our favorites and we keep coming back.

Theresa N.

Yelp
Yes, it's a dumpy little hole in the wall. My favorite type of place. Mekong doesn't have a sparkling interior, there's not new and updated furniture. They play 80s MTV music. But the food's good. I had pork buhn #9 and although it had veggies in it that I am not used to at my regular buhn place, everything was very fresh and tasty. I needed twice the fish sauce though, they don't give enough. Hubs had egg rolls and loved them. They are large and stuffed with veggies. The pho was huge and amazing. The prices are very good, cheaper than most. So go ahead and pay more for the exact same food at your fancy schmancy Pho place with its fresh paint and updated decor. Mekong will do just fine by me, and I'll have a few extra spending bucks in my pocket.

Megan F.

Yelp
The banh mi was okay. The bread was too soft and got soggy and the pork was too sweet for my taste.

I M.

Yelp
Went here for the first time today with my mom, it was awesome!!The sandwiches are less than $4! I will be going soon to try the smoothies with tapioca! Go try this place out, you won't regret it

Donna M.

Yelp
We absolutely love Mekong and eat their at least once a week...sometimes more. You really cannot go wrong with anything on their menus, and they even have a wonderful, homemade hot ginger and honey tea during the colder months. Honestly, they could carry that tea year-round; I enjoy it so very much. Kim and her crew have a great thing going on at Mekong!

Yelp
This is family run restaurant with a functional dining room, sad faded paintings on the wall, and a fake plastic tree in the corner. The table and chairs were also just functional and that's it. The first clue that we should have just left was that there was not a single Asian in sight dining in. It was also a sausage fest of all men and a single woman that don't exactly look like the foodie types, and Fox News was playing on both televisions. Upon entering, we were told to sit anywhere. Problem was, every single table set up for four or less people had not been bussed. They obviously had a lunch rush. We ended up sitting down at the clean end of a long table. The menu listed the standard Vietnamese fare plus some Chinese inspired dishes. The waitress took our order without much facial expression or enthusiasm. Went with some crispy eggrolls, bun bo hue (since they were supposedly out of beef stew, though I suspect they never had any to begin with), and chargrilled pork over crushed rice with egg cake and egg. The two eggrolls came out first with one piece of lettuce. I like having a piece for each eggroll. While the meat filling was tasty enough, it was nothing out of the ordinary. The entrees came out soon after, and that was where the disappointment reached a critical state. The bun bo hue did not come with blood jello, pork knuckle, oxtail or any goodies like that. Instead, it looked more like a plain pho tai, with thin slices of beef. Purple cabbage was also absent, and instead a bed of wilted shredded iceberg lettuce was offered... wait... what? We were just as confounded. The soup was very one dimensional, watered down, and flavorless, and even after a dousing of sriracha sauce, it was barely touched and left mostly uneaten. The chargrilled pork dish was slightly better, but not by much. While the pork was marinaded well enough in a reddish sauce, and while the portion was generous, the pieces were very thin and flat. The egg was cooked hard and missing the lovely runny yolk I love. The egg cake tasty enough, but it was very small and gone in three small bites. The crushed rice was good enough... We left very disappointed. Will definitely not be back, especially with the great Vietnamese restaurants popping up just a short drive away.

Yelp
The food and service here is awesome. This is actually my favorite when it comes to Pho!! When you walk in you sit yourself or walk up to the counter to place your order then have a seat. If you sit yourself, you will be greeted by a young lady or, as of recently, a young male. They're both helpful when you ask questions about the menu. Once the order has been placed you will receive the food quickly. If you sat yourself then you will need to walk to the counter to pay for your food. I always order the Spicy beef pho with the meat cooked. The pho is flavorful, spicy and hands-down delicious! They only offer one size which is a large and the prices are reasonable. I love the fact that when I walk in, they know what I want and submit my order after seeing my face. Compared to other Pho restaurants in the area, you won't be disappointed. Enjoy!

Tres L.

Yelp
I called in a pickup order of grilled pork springs rolls, taro smoothie and chicken pho. Everything was delicious. I will revisit and recommend this place!

Trupti M.

Yelp
If I had an option for zero stars, I would give it. I ordered tofu bahn mi and the tofu was stale and old. The vegetables inside the sandwhich were not fresh and the sauce was terrible. Worst bahn mi ever!

Sherrill T.

Yelp
We always eat here and even take out! It's very clean!! Their food is so wonderful and it doesn't matter what you order, you'll love the fresh taste of their food!! Prepared wonderfully!

Jessica O.

Yelp
Mekong is a must for me every time I visit my hometown. So happy I discovered this hidden gem 8 yrs ago!

TaNia B.

Yelp
Best spring rolls I've had in this area!! The sandwich was FIREEE! I'm ordering again right now!

Heidi O.

Yelp
I have been eating here for over 10 years. Fresh, delicious and always, always the best!! So excited when they joined door dash, but mainly still like to go in person! I have introduced more people to Vietnamese food because of Mekong, and they are now lifelong fans of the cuisine.

John R.

Yelp
I have been coming here for quite a few years, and I always experience consistent quality food with great service. The other day, I came in 20 minutes before closing and the staff was extremely polite and accommodating. While I usually order pho, my wife usually tries different dishes every time she comes. On this last occasion, she ordered the grilled pork with broken rice with a fried egg on top. Of course, I had to take a taste, and the pork and egg combination was quite tasty. We also ordered the fried egg roll appetizer with the lettuce leaves and cilantro to wrap the egg roll and dip it in fish sauce. It took a while longer than usual as it was served with the dinner, but I assume that they had to reheat the deep fryer so the timing issue was not a problem. My pho was delicious with nice flavorful clear liquid with proportionate amounts of noodle and beef. The broth was properly salted, and of course we had the basil, bean sprouts and jalapeno slices to further flavor the broth. There was enough cilantro garnishing the bowl so I did not ask for more. I also have had the banh mi sandwich on several occasions and the BBQ pork is my favorite. It is served on fresh bread and they do not disappoint. I feel that this is one of the best places for pho and banh mi in the area. The decor has not changed much over the years, but the service has always been fantastic. A tip for the late diners, they do close a bit early during the week (730pm Mon-Thurs), but I highly recommend this place for simple, quality food.

Ace K.

Yelp
The staff here is super friendly. Whenever I come with my family, the restaurant is never too busy. We order and the food comes very quickly. I appreciate the service here because when they bring the food out, all of the chefs come and bring it out together. They are kind and elderly and always come and check if we need anything. If I go to the counter and ask for utensils or something, they tell me to sit down (kindly) and bring it to my table. I always order the Vietnamese sandwiches. The bread here is different from most. It is lighter in color and softer than the average French bread. I love it crisp. The grilled pork and chicken sandwiches are amazing. The crushed rice plates with chicken or pork are also tasty, especially with the egg cake. Everything comes in a nice portion, with good prices

Bubba B.

Yelp
Favorite banh mi in Houston. I've tried a ridiculous number of Vietnamese sandwich shops here but none of them keep coming back as often as Mekong. 90% of the reason is their bread. I swear it's made by angels. It always comes out hot and toasted until just barely crisp. It's much softer than the typical banh mi baguette and actually a bit more like typical white bread, but this is a good thing considering how many places horrendously over-toast their bread. It's similar to the also amazing bread at Cafe TH, but tastes even better. Their grilled pork (and chicken) are made in more of the Chinese BBQ/char siu or xa xiu style with the red glaze. They're both pretty good - flavorful and slightly sweet, never dry. No other shop really makes thit nuong (or xa xiu) like this though so it's hard to compare. I'll just say that it's different but very good. These grilled meats serve as the base for a large chunk of their menu. Continuing on with the deviations... they add in a thinly sliced cucumber and finely shredded, lightly pickled carrots, so the vegetables don't really add any crunch. Their mayo is more like white mayo instead of the typical thick and eggy French mayo. Not the biggest fan of the veggies or mayo, but that just shows how absurdly delicious the bread is. Their banh mi xiu mai is also really good, but slightly differs from the traditional again. It comes with a single large, steamed pork meatball with soup. It's pretty much DIY, so be sure to ladle on a good serving of the soup since this doesn't come with mayo. I know Thim Hing gets a lot of praise for their xiu mai, but I think this is even better. Unfortunately I haven't tried much else of the menu since I can't stop ordering banh mi, but I can vouch for their grilled pork spring rolls (goi cuon thit nuong) and egg rolls (cha gio).

Tiger P.

Yelp
This place has the best spring rolls in town the grill pork spring rolls are the best I drive way past the other restaurants on my day off to go to this restaurant to get the spring rolls they are fantastic

Jeff M.

Yelp
My New favorite Vietnamese restaurant. I've been passing by this place for awhile and decided to give it a try... they have a wonderful atmosphere and great staff. Food is very tasty and Service was quick. Will definitely be back. #musttry

Jason M.

Yelp
This is my favorite Vietnemese Restaurant ever, fresh food, delicious and reasonably priced. The staff are very courteous and helpful. You can tell this is a family run business by the way they operate. The place is very clean. I could eat here everyday. They don't just serve noodles they have a wide variety of food to offer. I recommend this place to everyone. This is like a little secret gem waiting to be discovered. 5 stars

Gail W.

Yelp
Have been coming here for years, and the food is always delicious, tons of very fresh greens, and vegetables, good sized servings, and easy dining.

Sergio S.

Yelp
A hole in the wall--meh. . . it's more like the dilapidated appearance of the interior directly represents the vaguely present service of Mekong Sandwich. I'm pretty low maintenance, which is good for these guys, because they don't do much to make your meal or ambiance a delightful experience. I do like refills though. Kind of a pet peeve. At least make sure I don't dehydrate and we're good. You failed me Mekong, but then again--they probably don't care. Fair enough. A shame. I would give them two stars, but their sandwiches are really damn good. I've sampled a lot Bánh mì sandwiches and they can be pretty similar comparatively speaking. I wasn't expecting much from this place after a few minutes of trying to figure out if it was counter service or the guy up front staring at us was going to come to our table, but it's the first time I've been taken aback by the heartiness of a Bánh mì. No skimping on the pork here. The seasoning was also distinct from others, and that hearty roll that it all comes with--heavenly! We also tried their spring rolls as an appetizer. They are really good spring rolls. I thought their peanut sauce was lacking peanut. It was o.k., just missing that extra kick. If I come back here, I'm getting my stuff to go. I think that says tons about their food. It's a shame, because they probably lose a lot of less tolerant clientele that way. As I said before, however, I got the feeling Mekong Sandwich is fine with that. Oh, and the clincher. Cash only. Bah!

Ryan R.

Yelp
This place is pretty great for a quasi-hole in the wall kind of place. My first experience was so-so because I ordered something and didn't read all of the ingredients properly. I'm definitely not a Vietnamese food guru, so I'm not sure what to get most places. However, sandwich is in the name and the sandwiches are rockin! For 3 bucks you get a chicken, pork or ham sandwich on french bread with mayo, shredded carrots and cilantro. You can't beat the value anywhere. You can order at the counter and take-out or sit, or they have wait service which is decent. You can't beat the deal when 4 people can eat with soft drinks for less than 15 bucks! They close fairly early, although they are way more popular for lunch. Add some chili paste to your sandwich (and order extra cilantro, yum!), but use caution with the fresh jalepenos served with the sandwich; they are alarmingly hot.

D.M. R.

Yelp
The chicken sandwich, minus carrots, extra cilantro plus sriracha sauce is #1. It's the best food $3 can buy and oooh so tasty. It's a hole in the wall but it's a good one.

Reyna Q.

Yelp
There food was amazing it's cheap which is good and there mango smoothie are the best I would recommend you to go if you want some Chinese food that is good and cheap I love this place

Jennifer V.

Yelp
I am heart broken. This is WAS one of my favorite lunch spots for years. Yesterday there was a ROACH a roach! on my table! I told them and they didn't offer a refund, they didn't offer anything. I will not be going back. I am still sick over it.

Taylor L.

Yelp
I decided to try this this place out because Pho bon was closed. I ordered the egg rolls with vermicelli and sandwiches. The egg roll tasted weird. The meat was not good. The sandwiches were ok. I will not be coming back.

Angela C.

Yelp
The girl at the counter was super nice! But I have to say the banh mi was nothing special. Nor were the spring rolls. I ordered two banh mi, the grilled pork and the combination banh mi, combination with only the pork (cha lua) because they only have the combination, along with an order of spring rolls. With all the raving reviews about this place I expected a decent banh mi but was a bit disappointed. The banh mi lacked the trademark yellowy buttery mayo spread that marks a good authentic banh mi. The meat was decent. Vegetables not nearly as crisp and plentiful, although that may have been partly my fault for making a stop on the way home. The spring rolls were nothing special, just your plain jane shrimp with boiled pork lettuce and vermicelli, no chive or mint anything. The sauce for the spring rolls was nothing more than garnished hoisin sauce with a little chili sauce added. I would choose Thien An sandwiches over this place any day if you're looking for banh mi in the area. Unfortunately Thien An isn't open on Saturdays so I gave Mekong a chance. But it looks like I'll be headed back to Thien An any other day.

Anne D.

Yelp
Pretty decent bahn mi. I went with the Yelp-recommended #25 and an order of spring rolls. Pork sandwich was yummy. The meat was very red (not raw, just some weird glaze or something) but the taste was well balanced with the cilantro and carrots. The jalapeños were wrapped in the paper but not on the sandwich, so kudos for that since I hate it when jalepeno juice gets in the sandwich and makes it hot even after you take them out. Bread was fresh and warm and completely delicious. The spring rolls were incredible. I don't know what it was. They were amazing. You only get two in an order for about $3, which is kind of pricey for two spring rolls, but they were really REALLY good. The location was tricky to find for me, not being familiar with the area. It's next to Meineke on Jones road; the shopping center it's in is L-shaped and it's located in the part NOT facing the road. It's not well-marked, it just says "Mekong" in white lettering on the building, kind of small. As others have said, it certainly is a hole in the wall but worth it.

Martin P.

Yelp
$3.25 for one of the best Viet bbq pork sandwiches around? Can't beat it! Great people. Definately going to try some of the other items on the menu.

T B.

Yelp
What a great place. The food and service are excellent. I like the pork sandwiches but everything is good. Give this place a try if you haven't yet. You will enjoy it!!!

Christy P.

Yelp
I am by no means a banh mi expert, but I was definitely disappointed in this place. "Meh" kinda sums it up. I had the chicken sandwich and while it was definitely loaded up with cilantro (worth a star there for loading the sandwich with cilantro, cucumber and shredded carrot) it was also packed with extremely fatty and unappetizing chicken. I can't stand gristle...ugh! I prefer meat that I can chew easily as opposed to a few minutes of ruminating. I took this order to go and while I was really the ONLY person in the place (some came in later to pick up orders they called in), the cashier insisted on chatting on the phone the entire time I was there...even while taking my order! That's fine to talk on the phone or whatever if it's slow, but it delayed me getting my food so that's pretty uncool! It took forever to get my sandwich (which I wouldn't have minded, if it was the bomb!) and she finally meandered back behind the counter a good while after I'd seen a guy from the back bring my bag out and set it behind the register. I consider myself a patient person willing to overlook such things when the quality of the food is good, but in this case...nah. I much prefer the banh mi from Royal Tapioca, which has awesome bread, crunchy veggies, tastefully done mayo and no funky meat. It's just a shame b/c this place is so much closer to my house... :(

Alexander T.

Yelp
I love this place. Mekong is a hole in the wall Vietnamese restaurant which offers quick and delicious lunch to the northwest Houston area. Banh Mi (sandwiches) are 3.25 each and the bread is fresh. Pho (noodle soup) is roughly 6 dollars. Rice and noodle platters are also in the 6 dollar price range. I recommend the 5 (noodle combo), 25 (BBQ sandwich), and 32 (BBQ rice) platters. Their drinks take a long time to prepare, so order it at the beginning of your meal. The restaurant itself is a little dirty, but that means its authentic. Their spring rolls (#2) are very good and freshly made.

Joyce T.

Yelp
One of my fave Vietnamese restaurant.... Yes I said restaurant... although the name say sandwhich, they actually sell other food than just sandwhiches. CASH ONLY if I'm not mistaken, so don't forget bring your cash! They have been there for quite some time now. The current owner is not the original owner, however the food remains the same, the service did change. The original owner was super friendly, super attentive & they're always smilling... The current owner... yikesss... Most of the time she have her bluetooth headset on & be talking on the phone while taking your order, but she's getting better. I actually saw her smile 1 time. The place is not that great looking, there's no nice decor, except for 1 dirty looking aquarium. The bathroom is small & it doesn't have a changing table!! ughhh seriously! We brought our baby here last time for dinner and I end up changing her in our car! What I love from this place is their food!!! oh yess their food is heaven-sent!! ---#32 - Combo Rice with bbq pork - Comes with fried egg, soup, shredded pork, quiche, broken rice & plenty of bbq pork... Their soup is always HOT as in temperature hot... it's delicous... WARNING: when you order to-go, you don't get the soup.. and I tried asking for the soup, she wants to charge me for soup container! I was like WTH.... Anyways, fried egg is always over easy, which is my fave. If you don't like it that way (like my sister), be sure to tell them that you want it fully cooked... the shredded pork is just ok for me. The quiche is good... I love it, I think they make it good here. Bbq pork is their specialty in this place, it's unique to their place. It's sweet, juicy, there's a hint of grill & smoke smell... It's simply good period. I don't know how else to describe their bbq pork lol... I just know that I love it!! ---Banh Mi Thit Nuong - Their bbq pork sandwhich is the bomb diggity!! Absolutely love it! It comes with the same bbq pork on the #32 rice combo... ---Com Ga Xao Xa Ot (sp.?) - It's chicken. They make the BEST Com Ga Xao Xa Ot here!!! My boyfriend introduced this to me & I fell in love at first taste... Ever since that I tried other Com Ga Xao Xa Ot at other places & they're never as good as this place's... Hands down the BEST Com Ga Xao Xa Ot!!! and for this they deserve a five stars from me! haha Other dishes such as pho, egg rolls, spring rolls, bun bo hue, special fried rice are also good, but to me it's not as good as the 3 dishes above. Oh they also have a bbq pork spring rolls... which I like very much as well... The price is very affordable. The service (minus the original owner) is just so-so. The location is not that great, it's next to meineke auto shop, in a run down shopping center. The portion is not huge, but just enough. The decor is... wait what decor? lol... but... The food is GREAT imho.... and delicious food makes me happy. Be sure check the hours before you go. I think they closed at 7:30pm everyday & closed on some days.

Yelp
Best Bahn Mi in town -- I used to only eat at another place (still good, so I won't besmirch their name here!) but I haven't been back since finding this place. They have a $5 minimum on credit card purchases so you'll want to buy a drink or spring rolls with your sandwich if you're paying with plastic. The bread always seems fresh and perfectly soft, the mayo is great, the veggies are crispy and fresh and the meat is always excellent. You can't go wrong with any of the sandwiches here. As far as the rest of their cuisine goes -- I've had a broken-rice dish with grilled pork that was pretty good, but I really wish I had ordered another one of their out-of-this-world sandwiches! Bahn mi thit -- and grilled pork spring rolls. You can't do much better for $6 anywhere else in town!
