Google
Incredibly cozy small neighborhood coffee shop servicing quality coffee, pastries, and empanadas. Owners were very friendly, even offered to top my cup off on the way out! We got a pair of empanadas as well, both were very good with a nice flakey crust. Seating is pretty tight and they do ask folks to limit their time at the bigger tables. Absolutely worth going out of your way for this one.

Google
Super cute, peaceful atmosphere! Very friendly staff. Fresh food made right in front of you. Staff got everything to us quickly and everything was made right. The Nutella latte and BEC Croissant was really good!

Google
Beautiful place and friendly staff. Nice bakery goods and good drinks. Street parking and some are free and some you pay by Park Chicago mobile app.

Google
This is what I expect when I want a nice little coffee shop. The items are reasonably priced, the seats are clean, the music is soft and atmospheric. Loved the potato and beef empanada and the Nutella latte. Highly recommend for a quick bite or if you want a cute place to have a coffee date or meeting. The staff was friendly and helpful. I got my order quick and I was back on my way but I'm definitely coming back!

Google
cozy small local coffee shop with a few snacks for breakfast! empanadas are so yummy! i’ve had the chorizo/potato and the chicken tinga. both ended up being delicious, but my favorite was the chicken tinga. realky enjoy the ambiance here. there are a few comfy chairs that are perfect for relaxing and reading a book in. definitely stop by!’

Google
While it was only a 2 person team, they both worked hard and delivered a wonderful service. The art for sale was really pretty. I had their cinnamon brown sugar latte with oat. I asked for it at less hot temperature, and it was perfect. It wasn't 1° less than they normally would serve. It was genuinely in between cold and hot- anyone else who doesnt like their mouth getting burned by coffee knows how hard it is to find a barrista who can deliver. And their croissant with Nutella and banana was amazing, they gave me a whole banana I swear.

Monica T.

Google
The cutest neighborhood coffee shop with VERY good lattes! The owners always greet you with a smile and a wave. They serve the best avocado toast in the city, I swear!!

Jasmin C.

Google
Extremely cozy and welcoming. My friend and I went in, ordered, and sat to yap for about an hour. The food was so yummy and pastry perfect. For drinks, we got ginger + turmeric tea, hibiscus flower tea, and mango smoothie. The owner and staff were extremely kind and welcoming. Thank you for having such a wonderful space!

Yelp
The salmon and cheese crepe was incredible! Coffee was incredible! Smoothie was just ok because it's ice-based instead of dairy-based, but that's just my opinion. Owners are super nice, the place is very colorful and inviting. Not "cool" like most coffee shops, more homey.

Yelp
I found myself at MeLatte Coffee Shop, while running errands in Logan Square. The adorable cozy space was welcoming and the ambiance made me feel like I was sitting in a friend's front room. I had myself a Hibiscus Iced Tea to go and some flaky Cheese Danishes. The iced tea was super floral and really refreshing. A very cute spot to check out if you're located in the area!

Yelp
Best vanilla latte and strawberry, banana crepes and avacado toast with a heart shaped egg on top. Kid approved

Riley F.

Yelp
Stopped in here from out of town and it was such a quality experience! Super cozy and friendly on the inside. I got a caramel latte with oat milk and my friend got a vanilla latte with oat milk- both came out quickly on a busy Sunday morning. They have a surprising amount of food on the menu from crepes to toasts to empanadas to danishes!! Highly recommend!!!
google avatar

Malynn T.

Yelp
Definitely a cozy mom and pop place in Logan Square. Nothing flashy but definitely a welcoming homey feel. The owners are super sweet and prices are good. I wish they had empanadas to try but settled for a ham and cheese croissant. It's a nice place to meet a friend, grab a quick bite or do some work. Would come again soon!
google avatar

Kenzie F.

Yelp
I can't say enough good things!! Undoubtedly the best iced latte I've had in logan square so far, the avocado toast was simple, light and absolutely delicious. I was greeted by the warmest, kindest people in a welcoming and comfortable environment. I'll absolutely be back to try more of the menu! I rarely post Yelp reviews but I couldn't keep this to myself!

Yelp
One of our favorite coffee shops in the city! Incredibly friendly service, comfortable, cozy, eclectic atmosphere... local artists display their works throughout the shop which lends to a one of a kind unique environment. They use locally roasted Metric coffee.. which in our opinion is the best in the city! We also enjoy the crepes and empanadas (sweet and savory)! Highly recommend starting a day here!

Yelp
Such a hidden gem. Owners are really friendly and the vibes at this place are nice and cozy! Coffee is great too! Got the Nutella latte- super yummy! The croissants are a must also. 10/10 recommend anyone to come. :)

Jessi S.

Yelp
Amazing!! Great environment, kind staff, affordable, tasty drink! I see why this spot has great reviews online. Will be coming back to try more. My iced Nutella latte was rich and wonderful. 10/10 experience!

Ella P.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this place while out shopping! It's super friendly in here and the coffee is good (I got an iced americano). I recommend for sure!
google avatar

James H.

Yelp
The guava cheese croissant is amazing. Best croissant sandwiches I've had in the city.
google avatar

Anakka M.

Yelp
My favorite coffee shop that I have ever been to! I live right by so I go frequently and am never disappointed. Coffee and food are delicious and so well priced for a coffee shop. There is something for everyone to eat. They showcase local artists which is so thoughtful and adds to the homey, local and positive atmosphere. The couple who own and run it are the kindest and so friendly.

Fantasia H.

Yelp
By far one of the best croissants I've ever had. The workers are seriously so kind and the iced vanilla latte was incredible... will definitely be a regular guest here, thank you!!!

Jennifer S.

Yelp
My favorite coffee shop!! It's such a bright cozy cafe, and they make delicious croissant sandwiches. The owners are so friendly.
google avatar

Bernadette D.

Yelp
Stopped by here one weekend and I'm so glad we did! I ended up getting a caramel latte. The empanadas looked really good and so I asked the owner which one she recommended, which was the Tinga. The empanada was delicious and I'll definitely be back to try the other flavors! They have a few outdoor small tables outside and a couple of seats in the back of the cafe. The cafe is following COVID-19 guidelines and all of the staff members were wearing masks. Definitely a coffee shop to go stop by at if you're in the neighborhood and/or if you're craving some delicious empanadas!
google avatar

Yelp
The coziest little coffee shop! The energy in here is bright and calming. There are comfy and funky chairs in bright colors and art all over the walls. There's not a ton of seating and probably not for anything more than a group of 4 without taking up too much space. They ask that you not stay for longer than 90 minutes to give others a chance to sit and enjoy the space. I loved visiting MeLatte! I got a poblano & cheese empanada. It was quite large and delicious. The perfect balance of cheese & poblanos. It would have been even more fantastic with a spicy/salty sauce to up the flavor. I loved the fun carnival glass plates the empanadas came on as well.

Yelp
Had the salmon crepe and Nutella latte, so delicious! Friendly owners, cute decor, great place!

Brynn M.

Yelp
Stopped by for a cappuccino and a bacon and egg croissant this morning. Lovely coffee shop with a calm and cheery atmosphere. The coffee and food were yummy and well priced. The owners were lovely.

Yelp
First time stopping by MeLatte and was very impressed! Wonderful customer service, love the artistic decor, and nice variety of food and beverages (coffees, smoothies, etc.) on the menu. Today I ordered the iced machta latte and the mushroom and cheese empanada- delicious! I will be back soon! Can't wait to bring my friends here.
google avatar

phillilp c.

Yelp
Great assortment of flakey empanadas, good coffee and crepes! I had the shredded chicken empanada and a Nutella crepe... both delicious. Only open til 4pm sadly, but a great neighborhood spot. The interior has couches and a couple of tables and there are two tables with umbrellas outside.
google avatar

Colin M.

Yelp
Wonderful local coffee shop! You'll enjoy the panini/breakfast sandwiches and coffee a lot!!
google avatar

Jeanna L.

Yelp
Such a cute, artsy, and quaint spot with excellent empanadas and drinks! Really enjoyed the cafecito and guava empanadas here and appreciated how MeLatte is pooch-friendly. There is also a chill lounging area and sweet staff. We had a great time and glad we stopped in!
google avatar

Rick A.

Yelp
Excellent coffee and sweets. Nice to come to after church or reading a book. Just a nice and cozy place to chill at and the prices aren't terrible
google avatar

Marc D.

Yelp
Melatte is a little coffee shop that also has a large selection of empanadas. It just opened right next to us and after our first try we couldn't be any more excited. The barista is super friendly and knows her stuff. The inside has some wonderful spots to sit and enjoy as well as a few outside seats with umbrellas. The Chicken/Tinga Empanada was really good. Cute place with great decor is for sure going to be my local coffee shop
google avatar

Cinthya Q.

Yelp
MeLatte Coffee Shop is the newest cafe in the neighborhood. MeLatte offers a lot of coffee options for coffee drinks and so many different sweet and savory empanadas. Post COVID I'd like to do work from their space. They also have a couple of outdoor tables. We got an iced americano with oat milk and a cafe con leche (which is not on the menu but should be because it was delicious). The Americano was smooth and crisp (if that makes sense). The cafe con leche was creamy, nutty, and had a hint of caramel. While we did not get any empanadas, we will be back to try some this weekend.

Yelp
I've been meaning to come to this place that's close to home. Didn't try the coffee but did purchase some empanadas so here goes: Flakey pastry crusts for these empanadas. Rajas con queso: delish. Perfect blend of cheese and veggie. My favorite of the empanadas I bought . Mole with chicken: meh , it was ok. Not as flavorful as expected. Potato with chorizo: great flavor, perfectly done with a great potatoes to chorizo ratio. Yum Mushrooms and cheese: tasty All empanadas were good but the mole w chicken was my least favorite. We also got a guava with cheese that I will be having for breakfast with my coffee. Will try a latte or specialty coffee next time I come because I will be coming back!
google avatar

Michelle L.

Yelp
This shops aesthetic is so fun! The music definitely helped to transport me out of this Chicago winter to a beautiful sunny city abroad. The coffee is delicious and the empanadas are always a hit with me! I got the guava con queso empanada and it paired perfectly with my oat milk latte.
google avatar

Yelp
Walking into this cafe was like walking into someone's home that's how cozy the atmosphere was. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. I ordered a small cappuccino for a very reasonable price and found a comforting chair to ponder life and catch up on some reading. If you're in the neighborhood check it out for yourself.
google avatar

Yelp
Came in today with a friend, I appreciated that they limited the number of people who could go inside to order. I got the potato & Mexican sausage empanada, toasted. It was flaky and buttery and delicious, I wish I ordered more to bring home! I also got an iced americano with vanilla syrup, which was perfect for the hot weather :). My friend got a chai latte and asked for it to be extra sweet, and they made it perfect to her tastes. Super friendly service. We sat outside for a bit (they had two tables outside). Bonus: the pink table is cute for photos, and they had umbrellas on both tables to stay cool from The heat. Definitely adding it to my list of regular spots to grab a treat.

Yelp
This is my absolute favorite coffee shop because of the coffee, people, and atmosphere. Luz is so nice--friendly, knowledgeable...I can't say enough good things. She puts her heart into this cafe, and it shows. The atmosphere is warm, bright, clean and welcoming. Its walls are covered with interesting local art. This cafe is a delightful stop on a walk between Logan Square (the square) and Palmer Square (the park). The coffee is delicious, and I am so so happy we have now have good empanadas! Vegetarians: do not miss out on the Guava and Cheese, or on the Poblano and Cheese empanadas. The crust is perfect--warm, flaky, buttery. What more can you ask for?

B. G. N.

Yelp
Extremely friendly owners/staff. They have a smoked salmon crepe that seemed a little pricey but was a lot of food and very well made. Coffee and other pastries that are all great too. Nice ambiance with local art on display and for sale.

Roasted Unroasted C.

Yelp
Roasted: we ended up coming here this morning because our first choice was out of half n half. This is a cute little coffee shop on Fullerton ave. Not quite sure what the vibe is trying to be but it feels kinda like grandmas house meets beach. It didn't seem to fit fully. Staff was very friendly - we were greeted and they brought our coffee to our table. The person taking our order had no clue what breve was and had to ask if we could get our lattes with it. My latte was pretty good. It was incredibly hot - too hot to enjoy for quite some time. We sat down hoping they would make our coffee in for here cups but we got them in to go cups even though we were clearly staying in. No latte art which disappointed me more because there Yelp page and website shows tons and tons of latte art so I was hoping to get that here. Other than the temperature I enjoyed my latte but I would not go out of my way to come back here again. Unroasted: second choice coffee shop since the first left us with a bad experience. The staff was friendly and inviting. This looks like a breakfast place that specializes in empanada and they do look good. The shop is fairly new and it shows. They don't know all the coffee terms while ordering but I'm sure they will learn for experienced coffee drinkers. The decor had me thinking I was walking into a coffee shop in Cancun. Seating for about 15 max indoors with a few outside. They did have sugar free flavors and that's pretty amazing. Ordered my usual and noticed we didn't get a mug and that's a bummer. My Togo cup didn't have any latte art like advertised on Instagram. My latte was too hot for a to go cup. It would be uncomfortable to walk around with it that hot. I would say skip the coffee and come for the empanadas they look good.

Kevin C.

Yelp
I took my grandfather around the neighborhood to run an errand that took longer than expected.I googled coffee shop near me and found this beauty, right in Logan square. Ordered my usual and decided to try a croissant with guava and cheese. The sweet tangy guava complemented the salty cheese, added to a flaky, heated, buttery croissant. As I was chowing down, customers were walking in and taking it to go.. The staff were very friendly and the coffee shop seemed as a warm home, opened to the community. See for yourself!

Frances W.

Yelp
I loved this place when it had empanadas!!! It was my favorite empanada/coffee spot in Logan Sq. Really disappointed about the changes in menu. I asked for a croissant and got one that was straight from a Costco box. The kolanches are ok.... but still nothing like the empanadas...

Mary P.

Yelp
The best experience I've had in a while. The drinks were delicious, the crepes divine, and the staff super friendly and gracious. I can't wait to return!
google avatar

Dina F.

Yelp
This is a great new addition to Fullerton Ave. Cute coffee shop with a delicious variety of savory and sweet empandas. Stopped in here to check it out and wasn't disappointed. They also have crepes and dog biscuits (in case your future baby tagged along) on the menu.
google avatar

Christopher T.

Yelp
Empanadas were 10/10 (we got the chorizo and shredded chicken), staff was super nice, and decor was beautiful.
google avatar

Edith V.

Yelp
The staff is so sweet and welcoming. Bought a delicious iced latte with Oak milk and an empanada. My new favorite coffee shop. It's also Woman/Latine owned so best believe they'll get my money lol
google avatar

Cynthia N.

Yelp
We've had empanadas here 3 times and have obviously loved them! They are delicious and have a wonderful light and flakey crust. We've gotten the poblano and cheese, potato chorizo, and chicken mole. My favorite is the poblano and cheese! You can take them to go and re-heat them in your toaster oven or they can heat them for you on site. I highly recommend treating yourself!

Jaritza G.

Yelp
Let me just start by saying that the empanadas where super good. I had the guava empanada which was a 10/10 had the right amount of sweetness to it. I also tried the potato and beef one;although, it was not as food as the guava one it had a good flavor to it. And service was amazing. Would definitely recommend.
google avatar

DM M.

Yelp
Great service, coffee, food and prices . Will come back for more savory and sweet crepes.
google avatar

Jerry Z.

Yelp
Visited MeLatte for the first time with a friend recently. Decided to peek inside and support a local business,?-!: try some empanadas. I went in on Saturday around noon and was eager to try to goodies. The staff of 3, including two teenagers, all seemed to not want to be there and they weren't particularly inviting or even interested in helping us. When I asked a question about one of the empanada fillings the older woman rolled her eyes and walked away. I still wanted to support my local business so I ordered two empanadas, which were decent but not great (both were "warmed up" but the kids working didn't let us know they'd been taken out early and sitting on the counter). Mind you, I don't mind if there is a rush and you have other needs to tend to, but it appears the business needs better customer service if it wants to survive, especially since it's new and just opened during this pandemic.
google avatar

Barbara C.

Yelp
So far, cute! Tiny, but smells good. Only a few tables, masks required, social distancing, coffee tasty. The decor was really home like. We had a chicken and mole empanada and it was yummy. Flaky and warm. My first time In there. I'll be back!
google avatar

Ann P.

Yelp
Empanadas galore. Savory and sweet, homemade delights. This adorable cafe is the real deal for carbie treats and Metric Coffee. I love it. There are a few seats outside in a really cute cafe set up. There is a lending library and cute art. The owners take time to chat and connect. I LOVE Melatte.
google avatar

Jana S.

Yelp
This place is great! I didn't give them 5 stars because the last time I was there my order was entirely wrong. One empanada was missing. I went right back in (I was still just outside) and they gave it to me, I asked if she was sure it was the raspberry that was missing and I was told yes. I ordered 1 raspberry and cheese, 1 Nutella and banana, and one apple. I instead got 2 raspberry and 1 strawberry.
google avatar

Ashley S.

Yelp
The atmosphere is fantastic! The service is humble got a chicken pesto crepe from the recommendation and it was a 10/10 !! The greeen sauce on top is spice savory and flavorful Would come back again
google avatar

Addy L.

Yelp
Amazing coffee and empanadas!! Staff is so kind and welcoming. A wonderful neighborhood spot.
google avatar

Ashvin P.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite new coffee shops in the neighborhood. Their empanadas have the flakiness of a croissant, while the fillings are beyond delicious. You can't go wrong between the sweet and savory options they have. Their coffee beverages are delicious as well, and the staff is some of the friendliest around. Highly recommend checking this place out!

Arden W.

Yelp
Manuel and I got a drip coffee and an Americano and they were excellent. The atmosphere was so warm and welcoming and it was by far one of the best coffee experiences that I have had! Thank you!
