Mellano Farm Stand

We had a great time visiting Mellano Farm Stand in Oceanside! Pick-Your-Own Flowers – Walking through rows of beautiful blooms and picking our own flowers was such a peaceful and fun experience. The fields are colorful, scenic, and great for photos. Local Vendors – We enjoyed browsing the vendor booths. Fresh Watermelon – You have to try the watermelon! Great selection and options to choose from. Jumpies for the Kids – The bounce houses were a big hit with the kids! Tractor Rides – The tractor ride around the farm was a fun and bumpy adventure that gave us a nice view of the property and all the activities happening. Food Truck – Great options and quick service! 🅿️ Plenty of Parking – Easy, hassle-free parking made the experience that much better. Overall, Mellano Farm Stand is a great spot for families, couples, or anyone looking to spend a fun and relaxing day outdoors.

This farm stand is the best! Their seasonal u-pick fields are so great to walk through, the farmers market on Friday’s is the best, and their Bounty Box subscription is one of our faves.

This farm looks small from afar but it’s well spread out. I love that you can pick flowers, strawberries and blueberries all in one day. They also sell honey and other flowers. Be sure to check out the retail section at the farm stand where you pay your admission fees before you explore. Be sure to dress accordingly because the entire farm is on dirt. There are portable potties available next to the animals and u-pick fields. Parking: Free parking unless it’s an event. When you turn in, skip the first entrance on your left (it says exit only). Drive up past the fence and u-turn into the same lot. There are a few Handicap spaces between the blue cones. Admission: Walk up to the farm stand to the person with the cash register. Ranunculus season is coming to an end so it was free to enter but cost if you want to cut flowers. Strawberry season is in. They are so red, ripped, easy to get to but sadly sour at the moment. $10 for small bucket, $15 for large, those without buckets are $5 entry fee. Blueberries are starting to be in season. They have 4 types that started blooming since January and throughout the year. U-pick is only on Fridays from 2-5pm because of the limited quantity. They are grown in pots. $6 entry for each person and you get a small container. Path: Ranunculus are at the very far end. To get to the strawberry fields, you follow the red fence walk way over the hill. It’s about 5 minutes. There’s a person there to greet you and hand you a bag after. Across from the strawberry field is the watermelon field. That’s not available for u-pick. Next to that is the blueberry area. Activities: -Certified Farmers Market on Fridays 2-6pm. You can come to pick blueberries and hang out after wards. -A shaded area with chairs and tables to hang out. -Animals and giant empty spare tires for kids to hang out. -Check their socials often as there are events throughout.

I had an amazing time at the Mellano Farm Stand during the Watermelon & Lavender Festival! Everything was incredibly well organized, making it easy to enjoy all the activities they had to offer. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that a lot of thought had gone into planning this event. The activities were so much fun! I loved the lavender U-pick and the zinnia flower picking. The kids’ area was a hit with bounce houses and face painting, keeping the little ones entertained while the adults explored. The food trucks were fantastic, offering a variety of delicious options that complemented the festive atmosphere perfectly. The staff at Mellano Farm Stand were absolutely wonderful,( BIG SHOUT OUT TO DELILAH she was so sweet) But honestly every person I interacted with was friendly and helpful, making the experience that much more enjoyable. Their enthusiasm for the farm and the festival was contagious, and it was clear they were dedicated to providing a great experience for everyone. Overall, I highly recommend visiting Mellano Farm Stand during their festival. It’s a delightful way to embrace the community spirit while enjoying great food, fun activities, and the beauty of nature. I can’t wait to return next year!

We love it here! A great tucked away farm off the 76. We attended their Watermelon & Lavender Festival and had a great afternoon! We had the chance to pick zinnias, lavender and make our own bouquet which was a lot of fun. The flowers kept really long after being picked. Music was fantastic and a pretty good selection of vendors. The sourdough vendor is a must try, we got their garlic loaf and it was out of the world! The girl selling said they are there every Friday from 2:00-6:00 during a farmers market they have there. The girls at the register and the younger guy at the info booth were super sweet and helpful! They said they do fall festivals in October and we are definitely coming back and are looking forward to that corn maze!

While it looks fun online…after maybe ten minutes it gets boring, then the workers are nothing but rude the girl doing flower crowns made me feel rushed, no one was keeping a eye on the kids on the bounce house, and to top it all off the people at the bounce house area where yelling at one another while my kids where trying to do the gems panning they offer. They also start to close while people are still there and shopping. While I think it’s a great place for photos and spending time with family I think they need better employees and friendly faces and maybe add more activities so people don’t get bored so easily.

I came here on Sunday and it’s Great place to take the family but they need better employees the guy at parking tried to charge me triple then if the employees aren’t rude or trying to scam you they are over worked. They had only two employees that where literal teenagers looking after the bounce house/ kids area and don’t get me wrong they did a wonderful job given the circumstances the boy selling tickets was so helpful and helped my family pick out the best deal for me and the girl doing the gem sifting was so kind to my kids and took her time while she was also having to look after kids going crazy on the bounce house. Then the lady at u-pick was so nice and talkative in the best way possible and taught me a lot of facts on flowers and how to help them grow I hope all of them get a better job or at least get the praise they deserve. Overall a great place just needs better staffing
