Mellow Grapes Miami

Outstanding service, great variety of wines, and delicious charcuterie. My fiancée and I went out to Mellow Grapes to celebrate our engagement. Javier, our waiter, was very kind, knowledgeable about wines to offer us, and very well dressed up. We’ll come back next time I’m in town.

Hidden inside of a strip mall in West Kendall, this wine bar gave me mixed feelings. I came upon it because there was showcasing a comedy show and something different to do on a Saturday night. The place is beautifully decorated as shown in the picture included. The main walkway is comfortable to walk and wheelchair accessible. The bathrooms are 1 stall done with plenty of space and at least the women bathroom was beautiful and cleaned. There is a well made chalk board display but unfortunately found out that the event announcements on it were over a year old and no longer were the events of the place so fault advertising. The service was ok. If there is a "next time" I might opt to seat at the bar. Mine was a table for two. Wine selection. They have a menu 5 pages long. My friend and I are Merlot fans. However out of 5 pages of menu only 4 bottle suggestions for Merlot wines. And prices range from $24 a bottle to $64 a bottle. With two people it is more economic to buy a bottle than a glass at $13 . And of course that $64 bottle of wine had no glass option next to it. When ask which bottle they had in stock of course the only one available was the $64 one. Then the host tried to sell us a " red blend wine". I'm sorry I found that insulting. And even though Red Wine blends are becoming popular lately and for those who want a mixture of grapes, to me they are an upscale of a sangria without the extra apponent of the fruit juices. Were we offered something else nope. However the table next to us overhearing that they had no variables of Merlot, they were actually told of other cocktails that were served. So we ordered water. First glass it came with ice. Then after that a fancy cold bottle of tap water was served and no more ice. ( Not sure if they didn't care to offer ice ( we are in Miami, hot city) or their ice is a minimal commodity. ice machine are not that expensive especially portable ones ) so no more ice. Food: we ordered the "pigs & figs" and the "caprese" flat beards. Freaking amazing. The blends of flavors and textures. Beautiful display and so so good. If I would go back it would be for the food. The food menu is more simply. 4 choices of flatbread, 3 choices of sandwiches, 4 choices of charcuterie, more like a tapas( appetizer) sort of wooden plates. At the end of the night our bill came out to be around $38 with tip. The comedy club was really good. Had a nice time. And at the end of the night won a bottle of champagne from a raffle.

Mellow Grapes was the perfect venue for our small bachelorette/bridal shower for my little cousin 🥹 Ramon, the owner, was so happy to accommodate us, even offering to help us put up decor when he saw us rushing to get it done on time! Making the reservation online was a breeze, done one week prior to our party date. We were able to make modifications as needed until 1 day before and it was perfect for any unexpected changes. Our server Javier was AMAZING! He really took care of our little group and was so attentive to our needs. We also got a special, unexpected bachelorette surprise in our round of drinks which made the night 10x better! Overall, I HIGHLY recommend spending a ladies night out at Mellow Grapes. The staff will absolutely take care of you and make sure you have a blast. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! 🥰💕 we will absolutely be back.

Just celebrated my 50th Birthday at Mellow Grapes. They were absolutely AMAZING! I’m still getting messages raving about the staff, the food (the wine🍷 of course) and the amazing vibe. This place is a true gem hidden in West Kendall! The ambience, the food and wine taste is great for date night without having to drive far away. 100% recommended! Also, follow their Instagram to see when they have a live music, and overall life entertainment, which happened on weekly basis.

$100 Gift Card Purchase Money stolen. I’m extremely disappointed and frustrated with my recent experience at Mellow grapes. I purchased a $100 gift card in good faith, expecting it to be honored like any legitimate transaction. However, not only has the gift card been completely unusable, but the company has also refused to take any responsibility or offer any kind of assistance. After realizing the card could not be redeemed, I immediately reached out to customer support. I provided all the necessary details proof of purchase, transaction ID, and screenshots yet I received no meaningful help, no resolution, and no acknowledgment of the issue. Every attempt to communicate was either ignored and met with “I’m sorry” To be sorry should be followed by an action to resolve this issue. Unfortunately, at this point, it’s clear that the company has effectively taken my money without delivering the promised product. That my friends is theft!!! I’m sharing this review to warn others: do not trust this site with your money. There are plenty of reputable businesses that honor their commitments; this is clearly not one of them. Until they either honor the gift card or refund the full amount, I will continue to speak out and report this behavior. Attached please view the photos showing that their website allows gift cards up to $200 to be bought but not to be redeemed!!!! I’ll now need to dispute this with the bank — as it is a scam.

Super cute venue! We went there for a comedy night. The comics were just ok, but it was still a lot of fun. We were surprised that we were "assigned" seats, so beware when you purchase tickets that they will seat you according to their preference. I ordered a bottle of wine and a cheese plate and was very pleased. Great attention to detail and service was great.

My wife and I continue to enjoy a great time when visiting Mellow Grapes. We've visited multiple times and try not to miss their especial events particularly the comedy nights. It's a cozy location, with a great assortment of tapa style dishes and desserts. The owner is actively involved with their amazing staff in providing an excellent service and unequaled experience. Highly recommended. ​

I guess the place was nice and wine a decent wine selection but I honestly feel completely ripped off especially with the tiny "board" for $26.95 I stand corrected, it's 26.95 which is but it's the same principle. Here's what you get (see photo): Four thin slices of prosciutto or jamón ibérico, 4 slices of fuet, 4 razor thin slices of manchego cheese a few grapes and olives are STILL not 26.95 - especially because it's a neighborhood spot. The manager just replied and I can't Reply back but this "board" at most should be $15 and you will still make a handsome profit. We all know the costs and understand you are running a business but C'mon now...

Love hanging out at Mellow Grapes in Kendall. Great atmosphere & always a fun time. Have to give a shout out this time to the Garbanzos Fritos, which I heard the owner's wife makes. First time trying them & they are truly out of this world and reminds me of the garbanzos my Abuela made. They have a nice selection of wines too. Excellent service also. I attended the Silly Sips Comedy show, which unfortunately was not as funny as other times I've attended. But the vibe is chill, white wine is cold & the location is close to home which always earns this little neighborhood gem 5 stars!

This place is adorable!! Came in for a couples date night and we had such a great time! The staff is absolutely wonderful and and made such amazing wine recommendations, we ended up having a bottle of wine that was absolutely delicious! The staff is also so knowledgeable and attentive, I was so impressed with our service! Decor wise, this place is so intimate while also being very inviting! Plenty of tables for being a smaller spot and they even have back couches and bar seating! Very cute interior for pictures and a huge chalk board filled with all the activity they have going on! Lastly the food and wine! Like I said the bottle we were recommended was absolutely delicious and their menu has plenty of price points to meet everyone's budget! Food wise we had a charcuterie board and some meatballs which were both delicious! The board was so aesthetically presented, perfect for pictures!! To end a great night we devoured their bread pudding! A full 5 stars for this little hidden gem!

Went here for a quick appetizer while we were waiting for for a table at Don Chepe's. The place is very cute and has a great ambiance for a relaxed night. The wine selection is great, and some of the more basic tapas are good. We had a birria flat bread which we didn't much care for, but the pretzel, cheeses, and meats were all good. I will be back on a night when I want a chill place to hangout.

This place is amazing! The staff and owners are so wonderful. They make you feel so welcome. Their selection of wine is incredible. I love trying something new each time I go. Ask for Javier when you go! He is super friendly and gives the best recommendations for different wines on their list. The food pairs perfectly with their wine and they also have a great selection of craft beers. My favorite is their Pigs and Fig flatbread and their charcuterie boards. There is something for everyone. It's a super cute place to come with friends or date nights. It's a true gem here in Kendall!

Needed to do some last minute Christmas shopping while trying to avoid the madness. I saw a post on Instagram about this place having great deals on wine. I figured that would be a great way to finish off my list. From the minute I arrived, I knew I was in the right place, the ambiance said Christmas, I was greeted by the owner who made me feel at home and proceeded to assist me personally in finding just the right wine for everyone on my list, not to mention some samples along the way. I never knew a place like this existed in Kendall. I will definitely be back to partake in some of their other events. They offer live music, comedy shows and wine tastings and the menu looks amazing to pair with a great selection of wines.

Ok , we've been here a few times since we discovered this spot cause we absolutely LOVE it. Whether it's a date night, girls night, celebration, wind down after work, or doesn't matter , just get your butts there . The ambiance is very nice , the crowd is great, service above great (it's a family owned business , my favorite type of businesses and they all actually engage with you) And now the food, close your eyes , point at something and just order it . I promise you'll love it. What I do want to elaborate on is the meatballs and the cafe con leche flan (insert mind blown emoji) if it's your first time make sure you order those two things and what ever else sounds good. Oh and Their wine and beer selection , amazing ! We can't wait to go back , I truly can't say enough good things about this place

The only reason I gave my score was because of the live music and wine. This place doesn't have a kitchen and the food is terrible. Tastes like Costco store bought foods. Everything is precooked and warmed in a toaster oven. Service could have been better. I had to call the waiter over every time we wanted to order something. Definitely not a place to go eat.

We attended their monthly wine tasting and were so delighted. Perfect little quaint place for a lovely date night. With our $20 ticket we got to try over 15 different wines from about 4 different vineyards. Each representative gave a wonderful detailed presentation of their wines. We had some yummy tapas and more while enjoying the one tasting. Perfect date night opportunity.

We love Mellow Grapes and the staff. A hole in the wall located in Kendall, we are happy to have such a wide selection of wines in this area. The charcuterie boards are a great accompaniment for the wine, but the star here is the wine. They also serve beers and host comedy shows (so plan accordingly). We love the engagement with the staff, very friendly, very knowledgeable, and also willing to exchange ideas about... you guessed it, wine. Excellent place for a date and a good conversation and to enjoy some high quality libations.

We had the Spanish Bocata Panini and 4 glasses of wine: Claramunt Negre Grenache, Altocedro Malbec and the 2 in the picture and everything was delicious. Great options, tasty options, and the service was great. We came after seeing our wedding venue and wanted to have a glass of wine. So glad we came across it.

Mellow grapes is a cute little wine bar in west Kendall which is perfect if you want to stay close to home. My friends and I came for a wine tasting night and got to try different wines. The service was great and everyone was very attentive. I really wanted to try the Pigs N' Figs flatbread which looked amazing from past reviews but they were all out when I went. The bread served with the charcuterie board was really great.

We tried this place for the first time and before we got in my husband tells me: I hope they don't have Andy live music or anything like that because I'd like to have a mellow time where we can talk. Their website said nothing about any event going on and when we got there bam! Musicians open mic night. Having said that, other than that little detail - the service was AMAZING. The French cheese platter was good although a little small for our taste. Best part: we ordered a wine flight - totally recommend it because you can try 4 different wines with half a glass of each. Also, I really appreciate it that they had run out of the baked brie and they still found a way to make it for us.

Never coming back here again. We came for the first time for their monthly wine tasting and granted, they were pretty busy because of this but there were a couple of things that happened during my visit that are unforgivable and for those reasons I will not be returning. For me, the litmus test for any bar or restaurant is water serving. For something like a wine tasting, I shouldn't even have to ask for water. After the 3rd glass of wine, I was pretty parched. I was sitting at the bar and waited for someone to even acknowledge me, make eye contact, anything. After several minutes, someone finally did. I asked the gentleman for a glass of water and he acknowledged me but then promptly walked away to the other side of the bar and ignored my request. Several minutes passed and I asked someone else for water, same thing happened. They acknowledged me and heard my request, but immediately ignored me and walked away. On top of that, we had ONE wine glass for several samples of wine, so after I was done with the red wine, they would pour the white wine and mix it with whatever was left of three red wine. Unacceptable. To bookend my visit, I was already pretty irritated and wanted to leave but no one came to ask how we were doing or if we needed anything. We asked for the check and got acknowledged, but again were promptly ignored. The person we asked wasn't even going anything but just standing around. Do these people have extremely short term memory loss? Are they hard of hearing? I mean what the hell? Overall, it was a disappointing experience and I'd rather spend my money on a place that will take care of basics like this without me having to ask.

Great time at Mellow Grapes! The staff is very friendly. The manager was very attentive to us. Our server, Javier, was very friendly and made the best suggestions. The food is amazing and everything is a fair price. The ambiance was nice and quiet and in the evening there was great music by the DJ. Can't wait to come back!

This is a late review, visited a few back. We were seated right away, family owned and operated with great service. Wine selection was good, beer flight on tap was really good. Charcuterie board (Spain), and flat bread were excellent. The FLAN, holy smokes! Ray is the master when it comes to this desert. Can't miss it. Next time, have the flan flight too. Will definitely be back.

Very nice experience with wine tasting. Our waiter is very friendly and helpful, they a lot different wine , but mostly for purchase as a bottle. Only thing they should improve is their tiny tables, we only ordered 2 apps with wine tasting, can nearly fit on table, we have to be so careful touch everything in case fall off the table

When we came in, we were asked if we were there for the comedy show. When we said we just wanted food, they told us that they were fully booked for the show, but if we could eat in an hour we could come in. I felt they were a little rude the way they said it and didn't feel welcomed at all. We were only two people, so not even a big party. We decided on just a flatbread to share. And when it came out I was so surprised by how small it was considering the price. Four tiny slices took us about 10 minutes to eat. We waited longer for them to bring us the check than anything else. Overall, the vibes were fun, and the flatbread was good, but definitely overpriced.

Great food, great atmosphere, great wine and the staff went above and beyond in accommodating. Their service was excellent! Thank you to Ray and Ally for making it all happen...

What a hidden gem! I hosted my book club here last night and it was lovely. The tapas selection was impressive and we each enjoyed the pigs and figs flat bread the most. They have free sangria on Thursdays which was a nice surprise! The wine selection was extensive and they also have beer for those who don't drink wine. It's a cozy / fun place to get together.

Excellent service and great tasting food. Best Cuban sandwich we have ever tried. It's not on the menu yet but it's a must have. Ask for the Papo. It's a pork belly Cuban sandwich. Fire if you ask me. They also have a pork belly flat bread which is amazing. The wine is great and they have a great selection. The tapas are good as well. They have three different types of charcuterie boards a Spanish one, Italian and French. The meatballs are tasty. Ambiance is awesome and it's a small friendly venue. The desserts are all excellent from the tea leches to the crème brûlée. They have a great selection of beers as well. Awesome place to hang out and have drinks or a romantic night of wine and tapas.

Celebrated my birthday here with a bunch of friends. AMAZING food! We thoroughly enjoyed every meal item. The wine was also spectacular. The employees were all so kind and made my birthday extra special. Can't wait to visit again!

This little local neighborhood gem is fantastic! I would go to Vacillate quite often and was sad to hear they were closing as the owners were pretty nice but the new ownership has transformed this little great wine and beer bar for the better! ! I love that they are doing weekly and monthly events. Whether it's a comedy show, wine tasting, prohibition night, moms nights out, Trivia, you name it! They are really making themselves known in west Kendall and I hope they stick around to a long time! Truffle popcorn is amazing! So are the meatballs and baked Brie! Give this place a try if you are in the area and they will make you feel like family! Recently spent my wife's birthday here! We will continue to be regulars thanks Mellow Grapes

I went with three friends on a Friday (early around 5pm to 7pm). We shared a bottle of wine and a few small plates. Everything was very delicious and their service was excellent. It's a cute place tucked away in west Kendall. Great ambiance. Looking forward to going back!

This is a wonderful, hidden gem! The food is great, the wine selection extensive, the beers delicious, the service phenomenal and the overall vibe fantastic! We have been here several times for a quick night out, a special occasion or one of their fun events! It's always a great time! The live music from Ryan is spectacular when he is there! We always have a great time! I highly recommend this place! You can take a date or just have a great time with family and friends!

My husband and I absolutely fell in love with this beautiful quaint family owned wine bar! Had the absolute pleasure of meeting the owner Ramon had great conversations as well as their bartender Javy both very welcoming and made us feel right at home! Definitely recommend this place! Amazing wine selection! And even better service! This is the perfect date night or girls night (I've done both)! They have great food offerings to pick at with your wine but they also have a good beer selection! Don't forget to visit the bathrooms for a fun vibe!

I came here for the first time today and I can't believe it's only been open for just a few weeks, the service was amazing! From start to finish the vibes were great, everyone was very friendly and the suggestions given by our server were spot on for drinks and food. The food was not only delicious but a spin on classics-the flan flight was unique because not only have I never had a dessert flight like this but the flavors were also amazing (original, chocolate, coconut, coffee). My favorite was the coffee flan! Definitely a must try in the neighborhood and this could easily be an after work happy hour spot, girls night, or date night. I will definitely come back and would highly recommend to family and friends. Cheers to a new local favorite.

I went last weekend with my husband and we were SO impressed with everything... the food, the service, the vibes...were all amazing. We sat at the bar and ordered a bottle of wine, a charcuterie board and a delicious fig and cheese flatbread. It was so fun watching them make our food in front of us! Our server recommended the tres leches and I can honestly say it was the best tres leches I have ever had... my husband and I were fighting over the last bite. The owners came by and checked on us and we felt right at home, we will definitely be back! Oh and the ladies room was so cute :)

First time going to this wine bar in Kendall. It's pretty nice they finally have a spot that's not located in downtown. The Italian meatballs were delicious and the staff was so nice. Only thing was they had a singer when we arrived and she was too loud, you couldn't even hear your friends. But after she finished it was very nice

Guys for anyone out there that likes a great ambience, great drinks & great food, this is your place. Right in Kendall. No need to go far. Here they got wine classes, wine tasting, comedy, live music, all in one place. First time here but the staff is amazing. And the owners Ray & his son take care of every detail. It has become our favorite place overnight! Thank you guys!!!

Staff was super friendly and selection of wine was excellent. Has a decent selection of small plates to nibble on while enjoying your wine. The chickpea dish was delicious.
