Mellow Mushroom Roswell

Cool spot with a great vibe. We came with a large group of families from our kids’ daycare and sat outside. They have a big backyard area where kids can run around and play, which was perfect for a group like ours. The outdoor seating is covered, too. The food was solid. It was my first time ordering a calzone, and it was really good and huge. I ended up taking half of it home. Drinks were good as well. The inside decorations are unique, and the outdoor statues are fun. Staff was friendly and welcoming.

Great atmosphere, good food and atmosphere fun bar. Definitely worth stopping in. UPDATE: after coming here many different times I still cannot say enough good things about this place. The pizzas have come out near perfect almost every single time. They're unique with so many options and the way they make them is different from your traditional pizza chains. They use better ingredients and unique ingredients to make crazy specialty pizzas that you really can't see or find anywhere else.

Great spot for freshly baked pizza with some unique toppings and options. We got the cheese bread and wings to start and they were good. Pizza was the highlight - we got the mushroom pizza with truffle oil.

Great pizza, but service is agonizingly slow. Went last Saturday and saw families leave after waiting for over an hour and never receiving order. We were also about to leave when order finally arrived. Waitress was apologetic, but no manager on site trying to help customers. The restaurant wasn't too busy.

I love everything about this place; the staff, food, and atmosphere. Nice patio and the open-air seating area is shaded by an amazing pecan tree. It's HUGE! Open mic nights out back on Thursdays is a personal favorite. The staff is great. It's totally worth becoming a regular for their friendly treatment. Awesome pizza of course but delicious salads too if you are looking for something on the healthier side. Last but not least, the bar with the long wall of tasty beers on tap... Yum! Put everything together and you've found your new favorite hangout. Cheers!

Food is tasty and the atmosphere is the typical eclectic MM style. Some decent beers on tap and TV's if you want to catch a game. Outdoor seating area is nice. Service runs a little slower than some MM, but staff is pleasant and helpful.

Ever since we lost the Mellow near our house in FL, we look for one any time we're on the road. This Mellow had the best bar area of any that we've ever visited, and we've visited a lot! The bar area was set up perfectly. The pizza was spot on, they had Labatt on draught, what more could we ask for!?!

Donata is the absolute sweetest!! She took great care of my family. What a kind, sweet professional she is :) Let's talk about McKenzie, too. Service was on point! She was on her game for us. I love mellow mushroom pizza! The crust is doughy but crunchy, they do not skimp on the toppings, their sauce is not sweet and the flavors are fantastic! Service is great! this one has a large outside area for people to sit at and enjoy the outdoors as well. They have a full bar and great staff plus a just cool vibe. It is a great place to have some slices of ZA, to get some pie, to enjoy the flavors! They do server other things besides pizza... and in general those are good too but I just love the pizza!

My husband and I love mellow mushroom and have been to several different locations. We decided To try one that was closer to our home so we chose this location. We came at 8:05 so plenty of time before the restaurant closed but once we walked in everyone was in cleaning mode and they looked about ready to close up shop. We got seated outside and the front host told us the server would be with us shortly...after 2 workers that passed by no one ever came to take our order nor even offer us water. The waitress that was inside, I got her attention and I thought she was coming out but she came out completely overlooked us despite us having menus and being ready to order, talked to her coworker and went back inside. It was a terrible feeling and experience. We most likely won't be coming back to this location because the service left a sour taste in our mouth and I wouldn't want to try their food if their service if poor.

Bar service is always great, and the pizza and wings never disappoint. Plus there's nothing better than having a hot pizza brought to your table hot and ready to eat. So much better than any takeout. The Rollz have been a nice appetizer addition!

Just a heads up: They don't warn you that they don't take mobile pay when you're ordering take out over the phone. They say it's to save money, but they're going to be paying the same amount for wasted food.. sucks, this was my favorite spot. It's 2025, it's time to upgrade.

Unfortunate experience. Three of us dined. Two ordered pies and the other ordered wings. One pie was cheese only and tasty. The other was a white pie with added sausage, remove the tomatoes except they didn't remove the tomatoes. However, the pie was good. The issue was the wings were not delivered at the same time and we were told they were on the way out. After both pies have been consumed (20+ minutes) still no wings and the third diner went hungry. While the server was apologetic, he never once followed up during this time and we had to track him down inside the restaurant to request a check and cancel the wings. Too many quality options in the area to ever come back. Epic fail by either the server or the kitchen. Two stars because the pies were good, 0 stars for service. Try Johnny's down the street for a better experience.

Mellow is one of our favorites but pretty disappointed in the gluten free pizzas. After all said and done $30/ pizza and so tiny. Wish it was different. Definitely a go in to the place type restaurant since it was delivered cold too.

Bar area is legit. $2 drafts on Tues. Service was great, pizza was solid. Took a chance on going in after seeing it driving by. Definitely enjoyed my experience!

It's hard not to be mad about a pizza that costs nearly $40 and tastes like a large undercooked loaf of bread. We ordered four toppings which were ridiculously overpriced for what we actually received--green peppers, mushrooms, onions, and sausage. Our family was very disappointed. I just read this review to my wife before I posted it and she said, "There were mushrooms?!"

I have been here several times - have ordered pizzas and wings . Always excellent. I always order at the bar and have a drink while I wait. Many times my wife goes with me to enjoy a good drink together. The staff is always friendly efficient and helpful. Will be going again

This review is for a trip to the restaurant for lunch in early June. The pizza was unremarkable, the dough, a lit sweet, but very chewy. Their salad greens were fresh. The chicken wings were tasty. The service was friendly. I think the staff may want to pocket their phones when customers are waiting for the bill.

Ordered delivery on their website. It defaulted to DoorDash. DoorDash driver didn't bring the salad. Then pretended he didn't speak English. Called the store ... they said to call DoorDash. I did. DoorDash said since it was done on Mellow's website, Mellow gets the payment and then they pay DoorDash. Called Mellow back, spoke the manager and she said I'd have to wait until Monday to speak to the owner. Called Monday and LM for owner. Didn't call me back but credited my card for the salad. That's nice, but I think I should get the delivery fee and tip back too. The pizza was good but everything else was unacceptable.

We always hit this after we go to Happy Feet! Pretty Good Service - Friendly just not super fast. Food has always been fresh and relatively quick. I would recommend the Pretzel Bites or the Veggie Calzone. Love the outdoor area.

Its so dirty rat traps and roches its just gross never again. I have no clue how they are still in business eww

I called and ordered a take out pizza from the Mellow Mushroom in Roswell. The person on the phone was friendly and knowledgeable. He told me that my pizza would be ready in 30 minutes. He asked what type of car I would be driving. He told me to pull up in front of the restaurant, and somebody would bring the pizza out to my car. I arrived at the restaurant 30 minutes after I placed my order. I parked behind two other cars who were also waiting for their pizzas. I waited 15 minutes for someone to bring the pizza to my car. Therefore, my entire wait time was 45 minutes from when I placed my order. The pizza tasted hot and fresh. There was a generous amount of sauce, cheese, and other toppings. The prices are a little high at Mellow Mushroom compared to some of the competitors, such as Marco's Pizza and Peace Love & Pizza. If the prices were more reasonable, then I would probably visit Mellow Mushroom more frequently.

Had two medium 3 topping pizzas and an order of pretzel bites. Food was average/good, but prices were outrageously high. Each medium pizza priced out at about $34, before taxes and tip. Total bill for two average/good medium pizzas, an order of pretzel bites, and delivery was $93 - absolutely absurd. Would have been just as happy with a pizza chain delivery of the same meal for a third of that price.

this is probably the WORST and MOST RUDEST STAFF ive ever encountered. The Togo team is NOT FRIENDLY at all and very unprofessional , and the host team was EXTREMELY RUDE!!! i was asked how many day was by the host team, and I replied with" nothing to complain about yet" in a very friendly tone, the host then rolled her eyes and walked away from me. Don't give these people your money

Best pizza in the industry. Hands down. Holy shiitake was amazing, I pity the fools who haven't tried it yet. Also tried the pretzel bites as the waitress recommended and was blown away. The service was fast and friendly. Great atmosphere to watch ATL United Win 4-2. Great dinner and way to spend a Saturday night. 6/5 star experience

I love coming here because the environment and space is very nice. They have some cool art in the shop plus good vibes! The food is a little pricey for the portions but you get what you pay for. Sometimes it can be a little slow, but most times it's great! The cooks always get the food spot on!

We hot a small Greek salad to share between the Bride and myself and it was HUGE. We got one of the specialty pizzas on the thin crust and it lived up to what we always expect from a Mellow Mushroom. My disappointment was that when we checked in, we got a Yelp check in special. When we showed it to our server, she said they don't do those and expounded on the email blasts the send out and the many specials within the emails. What's up with that?

While the normal pizzas were and are tasty enough, the $20 gluten-free pizza was sent out the door with an aggressively tiny amount of cheese and sauce. The dough was also tough and inedible. So you disgust the customers so much they stop ordering because it's hard to make? No, there are ways to do it right. Your predecessors at this same branch knew how to make a decent GF pizza not too many years ago.

Very common theme here: they simply can't do to-go. Zero customer service. Zero apologies or explanations when orders are delayed. Dine in service is usually fine, and the quality is consistent (something mellow corporate manages very tightly, I imagine). Good for a random drop-in, but I'd avoid for take out or during peak hours.

Yo i love this place usually. But the pickup needs to be improved. There was poor communication from the young staff and a bit of defensiveness when we finally rolled down the window to ask about an update 30min after sitting there with no touch base. And paying extra for toppings I'm deeply dissapointed with the amount of mushrooms from Mellow Mushroom after all that :(

Love Mellow! Great patio and they just added a new Backyard BBQ pizza. Pork BBQ red peppers and other goodies for a great taste. Very different.

Food is about average but the service is abysmal. Server sat next to our pizza for over 10 minutes yet refused to come and bring to us, many servers sitting around doing absolutely nothing and management is nowhere to be seen so I doubt anything will be done. Go at your own risk.

Had the meatball hoagie...it was awful. It tasted like the frozen meatballs you get from the freezer section if a supermarket!

I haven't been to this Mellow Mushroom in a long time, but just decided to place a pick up order. I ordered a pizza and salad, and they are both amazing! The salad is very fresh and delicious. And of course their pizza is always amazing! I see a huge improvement in the quality of their food! I will definitely be ordering from this location again soon!!

This place used to be great but has gone seriously downhill. Beautiful new renovation but service is terrible. Plan on a long dining experience in store because of slow kitchen and distracted servers. Good luck getting seated quickly (even with abundant seating available) because the hostess is totally under water. If you order take out and they quote you 40 minutes add 10 more or you will be waiting. Oh and corporate finally rolled out online ordering but this location doesn't accept it. Boo. I hope that the management reads these because I'm a Roswell resident and I'd like to change this review after they've made some serious staffing and procedure changes.

do not order from this mellow mushroom on uber eats. they cancel orders constantly!!!!

Had a good experience here over the weekend. We ordered wings as a starter, and they were my only let down. They should have been a lot crispier vs. fattier. Maybe that and the chairs were really greasy, but we could handle wiping those down. Our server was so sweet and helpful. We enjoyed her. The service was pretty standard as far as time goes. I ordered a salad. It was actually good. Plenty of options for toppings. The grilled chicken addition tasted fresh. Their balsamic was amazing. The rest of my table enjoyed their pizzas as well. Their recommendations were the pretzel bites. They loved the cheese and marinara side sauces.

The lady taking my order was super sweet and was super kind when I went in to pick up my order, but when you buy a large funky Q pizza for $27 you would expect it to be in tiptop shape.....however it was mostly pizza dough....with some chicken and very little bbq sauce and very little cheese. The other pizza we ordered was good, but the price for the funky q was unbelievable .

Service and food quality at this Mellow Mushroom location are on par with the Mellow Mushroom standard, but it just doesn't give me that Mellow Mushroom vibe I crave. We've been to this location several time and always had great service; our server has always been super friendly and took our order making sure we got everything we needed in a fast and friendly pace. The food here is good. The tastes and quality matches that of other mellow mushroom locations. This MM has a good selection of craft beer, but could carry more breweries; especially local beers. The restaurant itself is nice and all, but looks more like a California Pizza Kitchen than a Mellow Mushroom. I hate that it just doesn't give me the groovy vibe of other locations.

Guys night. So we took some middle school guys to MM last night. Place had a huge yard and covered patio. That's cool- they had a couple birthday parties going on and the little kids were able to run round outside - leaving the indoor dining to us and a few adult groups. Place is a bit hidden. It not have the normal vibe from other MM places, and felt a bit old. The waitress and hostess were wonderful. Did a super job. The pizza came out correctly and was very good. The crust is a bit floppy and bread-like but not a thick crust. The edges were tasty, the middle was but not firm. It's good- but if you like a thin crust or crunch, this isn't that pizza. We had cheese, pepperoni, and mighty meat pizzas. The mighty meat had bacon on it. That was the favorite of the group. The red sauce on the pizza was tangy and good but not overbearing. Cheese was plentiful. MM had a curbside crew masked and working hard to make it safe and easy for takeout if you choose that service. The place is clean, service was good, they seemed to have a full staff. Food was good. Try it. Pretty close to Top Golf and close to War Games/whirlyball/putt putt/ movie theater. Four stars for me because the service was good, and because, well- bacon. Bacon is a whole star alone. Thanks Mellow staff. Good job.

Amazing food and great staff. Outdoor patio is great for ambiance. The owners are awesome and the service is impeccable. Great place to hang out as a family or on your own at the bar. Highly recommend.

If you have multiple allergies like me (I'm allergic to milk and gluten), this is the place for you. Awesome atmosphere, vegan/dairy free cheese and gluten free crust that is also dairy free. They also have tofu and tons of vegan topping options. My only complaint is that they don't offer a base sauce that is buffalo, or at least that is hot and also dairy free. My usual order is a gluten free pie with red sauce, with a pesto swirl, vegan cheese, tofu (plain because of the gluten free thing), and either avocado or pineapple.

Just had worst experience at this Mellow Mushroom. Have been there many times and have been pleased until tonight. Ordered a to go large pizza with thin crust and extra cheese. Also ordered a Chef Salad without the black olives. After an hour plus wait and getting home the pizza was burned and no extra cheese. The salad was loaded with black olives and carrots. Should have checked it before we left. Not sure if I will ever go back. They just lost a good customer.

went to lunch with friends today and had a terrific experience. The staff were very friendly, the lunch menu was great, including a special with salad, pizza and drink for 7.99$. wait time for food was excellent.....and overall experience was outstanding.

There is a lot to experience at this Mellow Mushroom location, and one visit may not cover it all. There are some nights with live music on the patio/lawn, several televisions for sports watching, and a decent beer selection. The covered patio is heated, which is great for the cooler months to come. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and they are my favorite part of this restaurant. Great size pizzas and calzones are both delicious, and the pretzels are a must-have. the two things I'm confused by are that they use the small parking lot for dine-in customers and the larger for carry-out, and the 2nd is that the smaller dining room is open however the larger, more spacious dining room is closed. I assume there is a method to the madness but it isn't obvious. Overall, this is still my favorite pizza location in the area. If you drive too fast you may miss the entrance so pay attention to your GPS and turn at the gas station. Also, staff is COVID friendly.

Mellow Mushroom is one of my favorite pizza chains. I normally don't like meat specialty pies, but their "Mighty Meaty" is my favorite pizza. I order it every time, despite being the type who likes to try everything on the menu. It tastes even better if you dip it into their Esperanza sauce! I always get their Mediterranean salad. One day I will try their "Great White," because it sounds amazing.

No adults running the restaurant and a bunch of kids standing around. Waited more than 40 minutes my estimated food order pickup time ... it not a lack of people issues but management issue ... no refund just excuses .last time using mellow mushroom

Horrible. I placed my online order at 6:30, they said a 7:15 pickup. I have been waiting for my online order for 50 minutes and still no food. They have me waiting in the parking lot. People who came after me have gotten their food. No apology, no attempt to make it right. I don't recommend this location at all.

Finally tried Mellow Mushroom yesterday.. so good! Amazing crust, great online ordering that allows you to get specific about your pizza, fun branding + good value overall. Definitely will be back soon.

What's not to love? Caught it one night with live music which made this a really fun night! The vibrant atmosphere, super-friendly staff and great stone-baked pizza! My boyfriend, from Wisconsin was so impressed that they even offer Wisconsin aged white-cheddar! On the rare occasion when we're not in the mood for pizza, we enjoy the Jerk Chicken Hoagie, Wings and Meatball Trio. We met the owner and he was great! No wonder this place ha been a Roswell fave for over 15 years!! Definitely recommend!

We are regulars at MM, we love the pizza and the staff. The pretzel bite appetizer is one of my favorites. If you want a great pizza and dining experience, this should be your go to!

Great food! They are know for their pizza but I am surprised how good the sandwiches are. The Philly steak cheese is tasty. Good selection of beers at the bar as well. Service is fairly prompt given the current shortage of industry workers.

On Tuesday night my wife and I invited our daughter & 3 grandkids for a pizza at this location. They drove from John's Creek and we drove from Marietta. We arrived about 6:30 and sat in the outside dining area. They were not that busy at that point. After 15-20 minutes of no server even coming to our table my daughter went inside to ask about getting served. She noticed 2 of the servers standing around on their phones. She then spoke to the manager and was told they are "short staffed". My daughter explained we had 3 small hungry children and would appreciate someone taking our order. Another 15-20 minutes go by and nothing. I see a server at another table and politely tell her we've been there over 30 mins and no one has even taken a drink order. "We're short staffed. I'll tell the manager" was her reply. Stoll nothing. The table next to us confirmed the servers were inside talking and looking and on their phones just like my daughter witnessed. FINALLY after almost an hour we pack up to leave. I approached the "manager" to tell her how disappointing the whole experience was...her reply? " Have a great evening" in a very snarky voice. Pitiful. We will never return there.

Great pizza! Just had a long wait. It wasn't super busy when we arrived, but it still took 40 minutes for the pizzas to arrive. The pizzas were perfect though! We ordered a cosmic, a pepperoni, and a pepperoni & sausage pizza. Only deducting a star because of the long wait and mediocre service.
