This place just screams average!! My pizza taste like something out of Mountain Mike's, pasta spaghetti had no flavor and when I bit into it they crackled (not fully cooked). My wife said her steak was decent and I agree. Service was okay but nothing memorable. This place definitely isn't upscale, more of an average outing. The drinks were also mid. The interior felt like I was stuck in the twilight zone of the late 1990s. The atmosphere is also just alright, not to vibrant. We were sat at a very small table with little to no room for our food and entre. The bread was dry and a bit burnt, even the dipping oil couldn't save the flavor. We deemed the place average. Would we come back, 👎 no!! Spent $200 on bland Italian food. I recommend Dippio Zero in concord instead for a better authentic Italian food experience.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this cozy Italian spot, and it did not disappoint. The pepperoni pizza was perfectly crisp and the salmon was cooked beautifully—flaky, flavorful, and well-seasoned. But the real standout? The tiramisu. Light, creamy, and not overly sweet—easily one of the best I’ve had. I’d highly recommend saving room for it! The atmosphere had a really cool vibe, with unique and interesting décor that gave the place a lot of character. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the service was excellent from start to finish. While it wasn’t too busy when I visited, I’d still recommend making a reservation, just to be safe. The prices were fair, especially considering the quality of the food and service. Overall, I’d highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area looking for solid Italian food at a good price with great service. A fantastic experience all around!

Excellent service, very attentive and friendly waiters. The food was plentiful and delicious. Melo's has a good variety of dishes for all tastes. It's important to make a reservation because it's a very popular place. We had a lovely evening with my friends. Thank you very much!

Google
I will never order here again & since I ordered for our group at church & a big co that use to order here too! The manager was such a jerk. I called to complain because my dish was completely different & the picture was same so I ordered the same dish I’d ordered so many times over! Plus just paid $30.00 for this dish! He says contact door dash cause I can’t do anything for you! The sauce is the same! And he says it has pees now & I am allergic to peas! So he was such a sorry case of a manager!! we changed the plate 6 weeks ago. I said yes then change the picture!! How annoying that a place that got so much of our business is so sad & rude!

Google
This place exudes a pleasant atmosphere with its somewhat modern design, featuring a visible kitchen from the dining area where chefs skillfully toss dough for pizzas. However, occasional hints of burnt air detract slightly from the experience. The cozy loveseats and couches offer privacy, while the comfortable high tables add to the appeal. The establishment boasts a separate bar with a notable selection of white spirits. The cauliflower appetizer delights with its nice, sour, and unique flavor profile. While the pizzas are of average size, they suffice for two people. The draft beer selection is commendable.Tatiana's attentive service enhances the dining experience, making guests feel continually valued and cared for. Overall, this establishment is a fantastic addition to the Walnut Creek Locust strip.

Google
I had a fantastic experience at Melo’s Italian Table—a true gem for authentic Italian food lovers! From the moment I walked in, the warm and cozy atmosphere made me feel right at home. The staff were genuinely friendly, attentive, and quick to serve without making me feel rushed. I ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo, and it was absolutely delicious—easily one of the best I’ve had anywhere. The pasta was fresh and perfectly cooked, and the Alfredo sauce was creamy, rich, and full of flavor without being too heavy. You could tell it was made with care and quality ingredients. Service was fast, and everything came out hot and fresh, even though the restaurant was fairly busy. I also appreciated the portion size—it was satisfying without being over the top. What really stood out to me was the balance Melo’s has achieved between great food, excellent service, and a comfortable setting. It didn’t feel like just another meal out—it felt like an experience. I’ll definitely be returning and recommending it to friends. If you’re looking for authentic Italian cuisine in a friendly, relaxed environment, Melo’s should be at the top of your list!

Google
We came to Mello’s with high expectations based on glowing reviews, but unfortunately, the experience fell far short. This is not an authentic Italian restaurant. It feels more like someone took inspiration from Italian cuisine and added their own heavy-handed twist—with disappointing results. I ordered the “Sunday Gravy,” expecting a rich, traditional Italian meat sauce. Instead, I received a bizarre mix of hot dog-style sausage, short rib, and pig ribs, served next to pasta. It felt more like a barbecue sampler plate with a side of noodles than anything remotely Italian. We also ordered the beet salad, which turned out to be mostly arugula with about six small beet slices scattered around the edge—clearly used as garnish. When you order a beet salad, you expect beets to be the main ingredient, not an afterthought. We left the restaurant disappointed. It’s clear from the reviews that many diners may not have experienced real Italian food before. If you’re used to fast food, this might seem impressive—but for anyone seeking genuine Italian flavors and thoughtful preparation, Mellows is not it.

Google
Melo’s has a beautiful vibe and great pasta, but the salad and steamed mussels were just okay. Still a nice spot if you’re craving Italian!

Yelp
I made a reservation to sit at the bar and Nicholas gave me a great hospitality. The food was very good and the ambiance was good to watch a soccer game. Service 10/10 Food 10/10 Beer was very good 11/10

Yelp
Our first time here. A delightful restaurant, they even had Italian products like jams, pastas, biscotti, etc. at the entrance. I ordered the Spicy Vodka Rigatoni. The sauce was splendid. I even asked the waitress what she recommended for protein to the dish. Her favorite was the sausage so I agreed. I found the sausage overcooked. Should have left out the protein. Less is more. Our companions had the Pasta alla Norcina which was equally delicious, Pescatora and Shrimp Scampi. All were outstanding. Much better than my favorite Italian restaurant in South City. Everyone loved the Fig jam square which I didn't try. Servings were super generous, I had leftovers the next day. Next time I'm in Walnut Creek, will definitely dine here and purchase some snacks in the front. Service and ambiance, solid. This place is a win.

Yelp
We have been to the Danville Melos a number of times and the a coupe of times to Walnut Creek. The prior visit was not up to par, but this time it was great! We had the garden salad with the champagne vinaigrette and it was delicious. The Pinot noir ad in wines met the challenge. The star of the night was the square upside down pizza. It was crunchy, cheesy, and exactly the right amount for 2 people. At $21, it cheaper than burgers. We highly recommend it. The noise level was quite high since the restaurant was full. Needless to say, we will absolutely be back.

Yelp
This past Saturday was our 2nd time going to Melos. We first went because someone randomly raved about the food, unsolicited, and said the Detroit style pizza was amazing. First time was good- pizza was awesome, vibe on the patio was right, kids loved the food...so much so that my 7 year old requested on Thursday to go to Melos "anytime this weekend, the pizza is too good." So it was disappointing how frustratingly subpar the service was on our 2nd visit. Bad enough that even my 7 year old complained and apologized for his choice. For starters, we arrived mid afternoon, around 230/3pm and half of the patio was completely empty. So we requested to sit outside. The hostess said she couldn't sit us outside because there was a big party. We pointed out the many empty tables and asked why the tables on the empty side of the patio meant we could not sit there, she tries to explain that they couldn't seat us outside because of the big party and the tables weren't ready. When we offered to wait, she said she couldnt tell us how long the wait would be because they were not going to rush the big party. But again, when we asked about the empty tables on the complete side of the patio where no one was sitting, she kept telling us they couldn't clean or move those tables until the big party left. Which made zero sense. So we said we'd wait at the bar until an outdoor table was ready- the weather was too perfect to sit inside (though the interior is really nice). We finally got seated on the patio (granted, the big party was still on the other side, not sure what changed) and placed our order right away given how long the wait had taken for a table. Two personal pizzas for the kids, one Detroit pizza for the adults. The server brought out our Detroit pizza and one personal pizza for one kid. We waited for my daughter to get her food- and waited and waited. It was 10 minutes, still no food for my daughter so I ask the server. He said it would be right out. Another 10 minutes go by- our food is getting cold while we waited for her meal. I go back inside to followup with the server- he says that there was a catering order that caused the delay. Which again made no sense since we ordered at the same time. My guess is he forgot to put the order for her. This was very frustrating and our food was lukewarm by the time her meal came out. And then to top it off, our side of the patio was still empty- no other tables were in use except for ours. A couple asks to sit outside to dine. And the host proceeds to seat them directly next to our table, so close that the couple has to scoot the table out just so the husband can get in. And when they ask if they could sit at another table to have more space, the server tells them no they cannot because the big party on the other side of the patio is still there. Like what the hell does that even mean?! All in all, though the food is good, that experience will make it tough for us to return anytime soon.

Yelp
Really nice experience at Melo's! The vibes are right, the service is prompt and the servers are kind, and the food hits the spot. The potato square pizza is to die for! I really enjoy their pizzas but have also enjoyed their pastas. Their tiramisu is kinda meh but they had this delicious Italian chocolate pudding with sea salt / olive oil that really hit the spot. I definitely recommend Melo's!

Yelp
Decided to stop by here after a long day of car shopping and it did not disappoint! They have big serving size and good prices so you definitely get your money's worth. The food tasted good, I would give it a 8/10!. Our server Olivia was great as well. Keep up the good work

Yelp
Super cute restaurant and love that it's family friendly. The decoration is cute and gives upscale but still a perfect weekday night dinner with the family restaurant. Servers had good recommendations. Pasta was cooked well with big portions and even tried the kids mac & cheese, which was surprisingly yummy too. I was hesitant to try the fried spaghetti, because spaghetti and fried in the same sentence sounds intimidating, but it was so good!

Yelp
Walked in on a Tuesday and was seated without wait. The decor looked beautiful and complemented the vibe. Service was decent; we waited about 30 minutes after receiving our app to get our mains, which was a fair amount of time. We enjoyed the Hibiscus Margarita and an Espresso Martini, and both cocktails were great. I specifically enjoyed the Hibiscus Margarita because of how creative it is and that it tasted just like a jamaica agua fresca. For an app, we ordered the Cacio e Pepe Onion Dip (4/10), which was a miss. It had the flavors that were described: sharp cheese and pungent garlic, but it lacked depth and tasted flat after a few bites. I wasn't impressed with the cracker options either. The Luca (9/10) was the standout dish of the night. The crust was super crispy and buttery, a perfect square pie crust. The pepperoni was crisp and had a nice spice that complemented the sweetness of the hot honey. My only complaint was that there was a bit too much honey, making every bite a bit sweet. Still, I would gladly eat this again. We got the Chicken Parm (5/10) with a side of Rigatoni Vodka (7.5/10), and it was solid. The rigatoni was perfectly al dente and flavorful. However, I do wish it was more saucy. The Chicken Parm itself was underwhelming: the chicken was dry, the breading was soft, and the cheese didn't add much. Next time, I'd skip the chicken and just get the Rigatoni. I expected a lot more from the food here, so I was slightly disappointed; even so, there were a lot of good bites that I would come back for and probably more hits on the menu that I missed.

Yelp
Omg, the best Italian restaurant I've ever eaten. I ordered the mushroom ravioli and my best friend ordered the Sunday gravy. Both were super delicious, the food wasn't too salty or spicy and, everything was yummy. The service was excellent and very fast. The waitress was very nice and friendly. The ambiance was out of this world and everything clean and comfortable. Me and the bestie will be back.

Yelp
My family and i come here often! We love sitting outside when the weather is nice. My daughter loves the spicy meatballs so we always get 2 orders for appetizers before our usual hot honey pizza. Love it here ! Never misses

Yelp
Stopped by Melo's Italian Table for dinner last night. I got some mocktails that were yummy, but the Shirley Temple was not my favorite. I'm not sure if it was homemade grenadine or what, but it was super sweet and didn't taste like a Shirley. We started off with the crispy polenta. I love polenta, so I enjoyed it, but it was definitely on the blander side. We also tried the onion dip, which had a very strong onion-and-cheese flavor but was still good. We ordered the Bianca focaccia but were brought the version with olives and tomatoes. When we told the server it was the wrong flatbread, he seemed irritated, insisted it was the Bianca flatbread, and then begrudgingly took it away. That left a bit of a sour taste in our mouths, but once we got the correct flatbread, it was delicious. For mains, we had the vodka pasta and a carne pizza. The prosciutto on the pizza was a little strong, so I probably wouldn't order that again, but I loved the pasta. Overall, I'll definitely make a trip back and maybe try something new next time!

Yelp
We were in the mood for pizza, salad and decided to try this restaurant. It's located close to the movie theater which was convenient for us since we just went to the movies to see Downtown Abbey! The vibe is chill, and relaxed. Italian mopeds with flower baskets inside and on the patio. We sat outside on the large beautiful open patio for our dinner. We ordered the Gem Caesar Salad, Beet Salad and a pizza Margarita style with Burrata cheese on it. The pie was a deep dish pie served Chicago style. Thank goodness we shared a pizza. This thick, gooey, delicious pizza was filling! The salads were delicious too. The Roasted Beet salad had beets, oranges, avocados, mixed greens, with a soft yummy goat cheese. We did have to wait to be seated, it's a popular place on the weekends, but once we sat down the service and food were amazing!

Yelp
My friend and I were craving Italian food, so we decided to give Melo's a try! I had seen a lot of good review, and the photos of the food looked amazing. We ordered the acme bread basket, gem caesar salad, spicy vodka rigatoni with grilled chicken, and the porcini mushroom ravioli with steak. I always get the spicy vodka dish at every Italian restaurant I go to because it's so yummy! The one here was very flavorful, though the grilled chicken was a little dry. On the other hand, my friend enjoyed his dish and said the porcini mushroom ravioli was a 9/10! The service was great, staff were friendly and attentive! I'd definitely come back again, especially to try the square pizzas!

Yelp
Melo's never disappoints! I've been here a few times and the food is always delicious. I came with some friends and we shared a few dishes and a bottle of wine. The restaurant is often busy but we had a reservation so we were seated as soon as we arrived. Our server was excellent and he helped us choose our wine for the night. Now for the food: -For an appetizer we shared the Burrata Bruschetta 5/5, the tomato jam is delicious! It is fresh a bit sweet and flavorful. The burrata is the perfect complement. -Gem Cesar 5/5, every lettuce was perfectly covered with the dressing, cheese and croutons. The perfect bite every time! -Chopped Salad 4/5, very light and refreshing. -Potato Square 4/5, my friend ordered this pizza square and it was delicious! Very uncommon flavors but tasty. It is loaded so it would be good to share with others. -Spicy Vodka Rigatoni with Breaded Chicken 5/5, my favorite dish here. The sauce is delicious and the pasta is coated with it. The breaded chicken is perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. You can't go wrong with this dish. -Chicken Parmigiana 4/5, it is basically the same as the spicy vodka rigatoni with the added breaded chicken. The difference is that there is more chicken, and it comes with tomato sauce on top. If you want more chicken, I would recommend this dish. -Tiramisu 4/5, the tiramisu was light and simple. I loved that it wasn't too sweet, the texture was more like a sponge cake. I enjoyed it. - Ricotta Cheese Cake 3/5, this would be a no for me. It wasn't very flavorful and a bit grainy. -Evvo Sundae (Ice Cream with Olive Oil) 5/5, this was a delicious treat! I've had ice cream with olive oil before and this one did not disappoint. Overall Melo's has some of the best Italian food in the area. Most dishes are delicious and the service is excellent.

Yelp
Back again to add the current menu, a few changes, along with the summer specials They consistently have great service and delicious food. Don't sleep on their spritz's or fries!!!

Yelp
We've dined at Melo's several times now. It's a vibrant and popular American-Italian spot in downtown Walnut Creek. It is consistently quite busy. The food is always super satisfying. It's Italian cuisine, so lots of rich, carbo-laden dishes: your palate's dream and your waistline's nightmare - but hey, life is a series of trade-offs. Their fettuccine alfredo is amazing. The gem caesar and the mussels and clams are very good too, and my partner likes the meatballs. During our most recent visit we saw a couple of patrons having the 'Luca' pizza, which is a deep-dish square pepperoni with generous amounts of burrata on top. O.M.G. We will have to try this one day. Did I mention this place gets busy? The employees work hard and do their best to keep up. There's often a fair number of kids, and it's on the noisier side, so not the best place for an intimate date, but otherwise it's a pretty fun environment. They do need to turn up the AC. Walnut Creek in the summer is a furnace, and the restaurant is densely occupied. More air please! All in all, a lively and enjoyable place, with very tasty food. Buon appetito!

Yelp
The restaurant is cute and conveniently located in downtown Walnut Creek. The fried spaghetti, spicy vodka pasta, chicken wings, and cesar salad were all very tasty

Yelp
First time trying Melos and it was an absolute hit! We loved every dish we got. Their fried calamari was well seasoned, and not sure what the sauce was but so so good! The roasted garlic bread was also very delicious, bread is roasted so of course some edges can be quite crunchy. One thing we definitely wanted to try was The Luca Square and the hot honey, deep dish pizza was the highlight of the night. Was worth the hype. I also really enjoyed the proportions of the pasta, it wasn't just all pasta but a lot of mushrooms and sausages. I just thought the pasta was a little too liquidy but still a favorite. Maybe if I got a spoon I'd be able to have it like a soup! Our waiter was very attentive and they take off completed plates right away. Will be coming back.

Yelp
Tried this place for the first time with a dear friend. Enjoyed the food and service was good too. We got the minestrone soup, which had fresh homemade bread croutons, burrata with a delicious tomato chutney, and the salmon with couscous which was perfectly done and had balanced flavors.. will return

Yelp
Such a vibey spot with great food!! Visited with a friend on Saturday night and the place was packed, we didn't have a rezzy but was able to get seated immediately. My friend got a lemon drop martini, and I tried the pomegranate aperol spritz, both drinks were 10/10 so good. We got the side gem Caesar salad, parm truffle fries, Luca square pizza, and the mushroom ravioli, all to share. The salad was nothing extraordinary, but the fries with the truffle aioli dip were sooo good. We got the pizza with light honey, and we liked it that way so it didn't overpower the rest of the flavors. The dough on the pizza was incredible, super fresh and airy. The mushroom pasta was also fantastic, such rich umami flavors in the ravioli and the sauce, super tasty! Would def come back here and try some more diff options forsure!

Yelp
James and savanna were absolutely amazing!!! The owner is a sweetheart too! 10/10 food, drinks and ESPECIALLY the service!!! #JAMES!!! #SAVANNA!!!

Yelp
came here for the first time. tried the spicy vodka rigatoni, the luca pizza and parm fries. parm fries were so addicting and the sauce wasnt too overpowered with truffle. wish the spicy vodka was a bit spicier but still good. they asked if we wanted to add protein but we just wanted to try the pasta. the luca pizza was amazing. it had hot honey on it and thats what sold me and my bf. service was good and was not too overwhelmed with their presence **honorable mention is their rootbeer
google avatar

Yelp
We were finally seated 45mins after our reservation time. I do wish they were more proactive when it came to this wait time. Ultimately they gave us some drinks on the house for our wait time which we appreciated. The food here is good and the drinks aren't bad either. I do think their pastas were better than their pizzas. The arancini was my favorite.

Yelp
Such an amazing lunch. From the ambience/service to the food. There is nothing that didn't hit the mark for us. The inside is decorated beautifully with plenty of seating. It was extremely welcoming. We were able to sit right away but I do hear dinner can get busy and a reservation is recommended! Our server Sarah was so kind and helpful! Loved having her. All the food and drinks we got, I'd definitely recommend. If you're looking at this place, stop looking and just get here!

Yelp
Melo's Italian Table is located in the heart of downtown Walnut Creek, occupying the space used by their predecessor Lark Creek Cafe. A group of us came here on 12/02/2024 to celebrate a couple belated birthdays plus my best friend's remarkable recovery from a serious medical emergency a few weeks prior. The place was busy when we arrived at 6:30pm. One of the hostesses led us to the booth we had reserved. The modern and colorful interior was cozy and inviting. There were a small cocktail bar and a gift area near the entrance. We decided to do it family style instead of ordering individual entrées. Our meal started with the Burrata Bruschetta and Melo's Chopped. The bruschetta was just OK IMHO. The burrata/tomato jam ratio was off. I could hardly taste the tomato jam because there was so much cheese on the bread. The salad was excellent. It was crisp and bursting with flavors. The sweet/savory balance was perfect. Four of us shared two pizzas (Combo and Burrata Margherita) and a pasta (Pescatora) and my best friend had the Pan Seared Salmon because of his restricted diet. The crusts of both pizzas were excellent. The Combo crust was light and had the perfect thickness, while the crust of the square Burrata Margherita was airy and crispy. Toppings were plentiful on both. The Pescatora was very good as well. It was loaded with five different types of fresh seafood. Our server, Tatjana, provided very good service. She was friendly and efficient. The total, with tax and tip, was about $185. Overall, it was a good dining experience. We were all happy with the food and service we received. It's worth visiting if you are in the area. 4 stars. BONUS MATERIAL: - They are affiliated with the Melo's chain. - Major credit cards accepted. - Conveniently located on the ground level of the South Locust Street Garage.

Yelp
Went for dinner on a Friday. We made reservations, it was booked and busy in there! Beautiful decor, warm ambiance, appears family friendly. Dinner: Luca Square pizza Pasta alla norcina Fried spaghetti appetizer Everything was full flavored. Good service. I recommend giving it a try. Will def be coming back and actually I've been frequently thinking of this meal ever since I've had it, and that's high praise and a good sign! We parked at the paid parking garage next door.

Yelp
Melo's Italian Table is absolutely delicious! From the moment I walked in, I loved the modern feel of the interior. The staff greeted us with such warmth, and our server was incredibly helpful and kept us laughing throughout the meal. I ordered seafood pasta, which was a huge hit with my family, and we also enjoyed the focaccia bread. it was so good! Overall, we had a fantastic dining experience, and I would definitely come back here again. If you're in Walnut Creek, don't miss out on Melo's!

Yelp
This place has been on my bucket list. Casual Italian restaurant in downtown Walnut Creek. I got the most popular dishes, spicy rigatoni pasta and Luca's square pizza. The pasta was cooked al dente. Little hint of spice. The star dish was the pizza. It was so crispy and airy. The edges were toasted with cheese. It was topped with pepperoni, hot honey, and burrata. The perfect trio on pizza in my opinion. For the appetizer we got fried spaghetti squares because it was different. Essentially it was a mozzarella stick with spaghetti inside. It was surprisingly good.
google avatar

Yelp
Great food and staff was very nice. They were very attentive and gave great service. The luca square pizza was huge and delicious. It had delicious hot honey and pepperoni on top. The garlic bread was very flavorful as well. It is very pretty inside and lots of tables to sit at. There is a bar with a lot of cocktails to choose from as well.

Yelp
We were celebrating a birthday here. The staff was amazing! The food was okay. A few of us ordered some pasta dishes and got sick. My nephew vomited at the table. The pizza was tasty and the Wings were really good.
google avatar

Monish S.

Yelp
The server was really friendly and nice, but the food was very mediocre. All of our pasta dishes were underwhelming to say the least. Maybe stick to pizza, which is what theyre good at. Wine selection at the lower end not great. They should get a reasonably priced "house" wine in my opinion.

Yelp
I have been to the Melos in Danville so I was excited to try this new location. The ambiance inside is so fun! It has hip and exciting decor. The restaurant was bustling and quite busy. The table was a bit too small to sit 4 people although it was a 4 person table, and we are small people to begin with. So be warned if you are plus sized. We started with the spring salad special that had buratta, hazelnuts and mandarins. It was mind blowingly delicious and fresh. I ordered a ceasar salad with salmon. Salmon was well cooked and seasoned. The crisp romaine lettuce was dull leaf and covered in Parmesan cheese. Perfection. My sister got the hot honey pepperoni scicilian pizza. I had a bite and the crust was incredible! The honey was way too sweet for me but that was her order not mine! I can't wait to come back and order this style of pizza vegetarian. My husband ordered a gluten free potato pizza that he said was very yummy! So awesome they have gluten free option! Food came out nice and quick, service was good. I can't wait to come back and try more items! Highly recommend if you want an affordable delicious Italian meal in downtown Walnut Creek.

Yelp
I LOVE this place! Came back here from celebrating my birthday dinner in November. Everyone was so friendly. The food was spot on and delicious. Savanah was our server and she made our visit so enjoyable. Ordered a pasta dish and she split our order in two so me and my husband wasn't sharing from one dish. The little things that are put into the thoughtfulness makes such a big difference. I'd also like to give Ross kudos. Such a pleasure to have someone greet you with such a beautiful vibe.

Yelp
Such a cute restaurant with amazing food! Melo's menu is huge - so many apps, pastas, pizzas, salads, and sandwiches to choose from. We had a hard time deciding what to order because everything sounded so good! My group and I ended up getting a few apps to share and our own entrees. For our appetizer, we got the burrata bruschetta and parm fries. The fries were pretty standard, nothing bad to say about them and the black garlic aioli was very savory. The burrata bruschetta was delicious, loaded with burrata, tomatoes, and basil. So yum! For my own entree, I got the chicken parm, which was massive! I was not expecting the chicken to be so big, but my leftovers made for a delicious second meal the next day. The chicken was crispy on the edges and covered with cheese, which is how I like it! It came with perfectly al dente vodka sauce rigatoni, which actually might be my new favorite pasta ... We also shared The Luca square pie, which is a deep dish style pizza. It comes with four large slices, but you can ask for it to be double-cut into eight. I don't usually go for deep dish pizzas, but this one won me over with the Ezzo pepperoni, burrata, and hot honey. My friends all got different types of pastas and sandwiches and everyone enjoyed their meal. Super generous portions, which made Melo's well worth the price. The drinks were great too. Overall, we had a lovely dining experience and I'd definitely come back next time I'm in the area.

Yelp
Stopped by with a friend after a nearby appointment and was delightfully surprised just how good this was. Best Caesar salad we've ever had with lots of parmesan cheese and wonderful dressing. Excellent hearty portion of Chicken Parmesan with rigatoni and fantastic sauce. Fried calamari were soft with a nice crisp breading. Excellent service and nicely decorated.

Yelp
Melo's Italian Table is a fairly new restaurant in Walnut Creek. It has such a cute aesthetic inside with different type of seating options (variety of booths, a lounge-ish area, regular tables, and outdoor seating). I thought it looked super trendy and would make a great date night spot. We ordered a variety of options. Our waitress made a few suggestions, but she was very attentive and really made sure we were good during our lunch. My fiancé and I wanted to taste a little bit of everything, so we ordered focaccia bread, meatballs, spicy vodka rigatoni pasta, and Luca's deep dish pizza. It took awhile to get served anything, but we were so happy when the bread finally came. - focaccia bread 9/10 (wanted it to be a little more fluffy but the butter was different in a good way with some lemon zest and other herbs) - meatballs 5/10 (just okay, I could pass next time) - pasta 7/10 (good flavor but the chicken was pretty dry) - pizza 9/10 (super crispy and loved it) It was a bit pricey, but I definitely recommend a try.

Yelp
My husband and I came here for our date night. We drove an hour to make it because we LOVE Melos. The spicy rigatoni pasta is delicious and then the lovely manager Valeria made our experience above and beyond. She gave us the tiramisu and let me tell you, it is the best tiramisu I've ever had!! I would recommend coming here.

Yelp
Post Valentine celebration and volleyball game found us here and it was a great find. Staff was friendly and efficient. Nineties music mixed with some cool 80's jams filled the air. The Crispy polenta topped with Parmesan cheese and a side of creamy sauce was so good! A plate of charred shishito peppers was devoured in minutes. We ordered a side of the beet salad and even my son loved it. The fettuccine Alfredo was creamy and rich. We ended the dinner with a napoleon sundae. It was ok, the fudge was thin and runny. We also ordered a drink from the Valentine's menu called burning love. It was so strong. Within minutes of leaving the restaurant, a host called my husband to let him know that he dropped his wallet card. We appreciated that very much and thought what a very kind gesture to phone straight away.

Yelp
I ordered the lychee melon spritz , full vegan Ceaser salad with salmon and the Barese House Focaccia. The lychee melon spritz is a 5/5 , it taste just like a watermelon jolly rancher but better The full vegan ceaser salad was a 3/5 the dressing was kinda bland and for $18 I would want a bit more jazz, maybe some capers or anchovies, something more than the little gems Romain and few breadcrumbs. The added salmon was a 5/5 , perfectly cooked and moist. The Barese House Focaccia was a 5/5 it was so warm and fluffy, soft, very delicious! My waitress was very kind and prompt with any request I had. Thank you. Overall 4/5 , I would come again and try a pasta next time.

Yelp
Have you ever watched When Harry Met Sally? You know that one scene where they pan over to a women in a diner who's having a very enjoyable pleasurable time and say "I'll have what she's having."? Well that is exactly how The Luca Square Pizza made me feel. The dough was bouncy and perfectly baked, the sauce was not too sweet or salty and was the perfect amount , the cheese was melty and goey, the pepperoni had a little spice and crispy around the edge, the honey drizzled on top made for the most perfect bite. Now, my favorite part though, that "burnt" cheese baked onto the crust around the whole pizza. Nobody had to fight for who got the best piece because they all were the BEST! The shrimp scampi was also yummy and the shrimp were beautifully cooked with such a tasty light sauce tossed in the best noodles I've ever encountered. The inside was nice and loved the little shop with Italian products as soon as you walk in. We enjoyed our meal outside and people watched since we try to do no phones on date nights. I loved being checked in on by the owner or manager, I'm not sure, but the woman was lovely and ecstatic. However, our waiter seemed very iffy with us. She never offered a refill on my mocktail or partners Diet Coke. She also just did not seem interested in being our waitress. Which usually would steer me away from a place but, I don't think anything could keep me away from this restaurant.

Yelp
A must try if you love pasta or pizza! The menu gives such great options for any type of mood and even if you try something new, you will not be disappointed! I found this spot from instagram and what caught my attention was the interior of the restaurant. It is very beautiful and a great place for a celebration, date, birthday, etc. the vibes of the restaurant gives of kinda feel as if you are in Italy with the scooter when you walk in and the little store will Italian products where the hostess greets you. If you are looking for a spot with great Italian food definitely go here and try one of their delicious drinks!

Yelp
We went for happy hour. And while they don't really have any Italian dishes on the menu like a noodle or pizza, they did have a couple of salads, fries and foccacia sandiwiches. Based on the waitress' recomendation, I got the fried chicken slider. Nothing Italian about that. The very thin piece of way overcooked chicken didn't even cover the thick bread that was in turn covered with a lot of mayo. Not my cup of tea at all. I had expected so much more from Melos. Never will return. It was waste of $50.00. The drink I had, was the Southern Spritz that was literally tasteless. All around...not great. Wish I had pics to show the sandwich.

Yelp
After a day of Christmas shopping at Broadway Plaza in Walnut Creek we stopped in the late afternoon at Melo's Italian Table. Not sure if Melo's is related to the other Melo's Pizza restaurants in the area but this has a full Pizza, Pasta Italian menu. We ordered several dishes Seafood Pasta (Pescatora) 5 stars best item full of seafood Green Goddess Salad 4 stars nicely dressed asked for the cheese on the side. Sicilian Cauliflower only miss. Roasted Cauliflower soaked in Balsamic vinegar. So sour it was inedible. Combo pizza 5 stars nice crust lots of toppings real mozzarella cheese. Service was good. Street parking of parking structure in the rear.

Yelp
Food was solid. Customer service from hostess, those who delivered our dishes, and our server was great. Our server Yari was very friendly and attentive. Our favorite dishes were the lasagna, chicken Alfredo, chili wings, and the Luca square pizza. Fried spaghetti appetizer and Pescatora pasta was ok, flavor wasn't impressive on either dish. The decor was cute but didn't feel Italian setting. Music playing in restaurant was enjoyable but didn't quite fit whatever feel the restaurant was going for. Prices were comparable to other restaurants in Walnut Creek.

Yelp
Came for dinner on a Saturday night without reservations but the wait wasn't too bad. The restaurant is dog friendly and we were seated outside with our pet. Service was just ok. It seemed to me our waiter wasn't too friendly. The food itself was a little under seasoned. I had ordered risotto and actually didn't eat much of it. I brought it home and added some salt and it tasted much better (there was no salt on the table and the waiter never came back around). I will come back another time to give the place another chance for me to upgrade the rating.

Yelp
The Peroni on tap was warm and that made me intensely sad, but the food more than made up for the aching my soul endured at the first sip of a barely chilled glass of beer. The location is great and the staff of a ton of fun. The food is so good it will save your marriage. But let's talk about the wallpaper in the restroom. I'm still in therapy over it. (Image included) I'm not sure what Italian nightmare it's from, but let's just say there's a reason Rome is its own sovereign entity. Order the short ribs, they will change your life and possibly your religion. But I'd hold my pee until I get home.
