The store is located in a busy area with limited parking (Meter parking) in front of the store. No parking 7-9 AM and 4-6 PM. They have a security guy in the front! Since the store doesn't have sales prep or anyone welcome, it's a bit confusing, but you will figure it out! - If you drive from the freeway, turn left at the intersection between Melrose Ave & Highland Ave; you will find FREE parking and walk a bit to the store. Unfortunately, it's busy during peak hours, so you miss this intersection; they cannot turn left during certain hours. You can find other meter parking on the right sides or alleys. I have a warranty with Apple, so the service is FREE and easy to check in with the kiosk when you walk in the store, drop off and pick up. For that, I don't know the pricing for other services that they offer here. Apple did not inform me to do data backup at this location, so I dropped off and received an email for data backup with a $199 labor fee, so I came back to pick up and purchased the 1TB backup device ($79) to do that myself. In general, excellent decoration and clean. Good communication, they will email and call to inform or ask before doing the service. Other than that, I have no reason to come here :D I hope it helps with the L.A. parking situation!

Customer service was outstanding. I was locked out of my IPad, the technician was knowledgeable and helpful. I would definitely recommend this location for your Apple needs.

Be very careful, they quoted me a price on the phone, and then when the service was complete, charged me a different price. I think they just decided to rip me off. Unfortunate, before that, it was great. So when they quote you a price, make sure you confirm again before the service begins. Don't assume they won't make up a new price. Again, they did a good job, the price thing left a bad taste in my mouth. Not saying to rule them out.

I didn’t really plan on buying a phone that day, but my old one was barely hanging on and I was nearby so I walked into just to check things out. They had a few used iPhones on display, all in great condition and the guy helping me actually listened to what I needed, I ended up getting a gently used iPhone 13 at a pretty good price, and they helped set it up right there. The vibe of the store is clean. Only thing is, parking around there can be kind of a pain so maybe don’t go in a rush.

The place was clean, gentleman behind the counters were friendly, and I did not have to wait. Unfortunately, they gave me poor tech advice/diagnosis. My laptop had loose hinges but it's a 2015 mbp. Barely looked at my device... I was told that i'd need to do a screen replacement and that my device is too old and that they don't have the parts. I mentioned that I had watched videos and the hinges just needed to be tightened. They disagreed so I went on my way. I ordered an inexpensive tool set from Amazon and tightened the hinges myself in less than an hour. Good as new.

Do not get your computer fixed here First I am not a computer guru But if while at the Apple store I could plug my computer into another computer and see everything on my Mac Then why can the repair place not see it unless I pay more money then the $75 They want over $100 for looking at it plus cost of transfer which depends on how they transfer it Really? Nope I am not that stupid. Second When I get to the store New hard drive with program put back on and still nothing Something told me to check it before leaving Because it does not work And left standing here while they look at it Really you all called and said it was ready What were you phased I would not pay more money for a level two transfer of data? And now I am running late to my next appointment

the guy who serviced my mac accidentally signed me up for some subscription service he realized the second after I didn’t need saying “you can just contact apple for a refund”. I tried that and it subjected me to a long, frustrating bureaucratic process …

Absolutely Terrible Experience – Felt Scammed and Gaslighted I rarely write reviews, but I feel obligated to warn others. I brought my computer to this store for a simple hard drive backup. I was told upfront that the service would cost $80. That was the agreement. Simple, right? A week later, I came back to pick up my computer, and suddenly everything changed. They cancelled the original $80 charge and tried to hit me with a new charge of $200 – with ZERO prior notice. When I questioned them about the unexpected increase, they acted like we never discussed the original price. They literally gaslighted me, trying to make it seem like I misunderstood, even though the $80 agreement was clear from the beginning. I felt pressured and manipulated into paying the $200 just to get my computer back. It was shady, unprofessional, and downright dishonest. I’m incredibly disappointed and upset with how this business operates. Beware – they lure you in with one price, then switch it up when you come back. I regret trusting them with my device and my money. Never again.

I highly recommend coming here before waiting hours at the Apple Store! Josh & Ryan SAVED THE DAY! I brought my laptop in with little hope as I was unable to get into my account, but between all three of us and a few spirit lifting jokes, we figured out blues clues and got the issue solved. I was in and out in under 15 mins. Thanks again!

The two guys here were very helpful. My MacBook Pro m3 pro stopped charging and they tested different cables to see what the issue was and recommended me a MagSafe Apple charging cable and battery. After I bought it they tested it for me and worked like a charm. I will definitely be coming to this spot for Apple products in the near future

Made an appointment for IPhone battery service at noon. Walk in at 11:57, get told to open diagnostics on my phone. Service rep walks off. I'm standing at the counter for 10 minutes before he comes back and says their tech is busy, maybe they can have it done by the end of the day. How to improve: Don't take appointments unless you have capacity to fulfill them. If you take an appointment but are unsure of your capacity, be nice to the person who booked it. Instead of making them stand at the counter for ten minutes, try : "Do you mind taking a seat while I check on the technician?availability?" Few big improvements, I know immediately you might not have capacity, I'm seated waiting, you were polite. "You see, you know how to *take* the reservation, you just don't know how to *hold* the reservation. And that's really the most important part of the reservation: the holding. Anybody can just take them."

When you go in, and you get it all squared away, what you need done, ask for the price again. I was told on the phone 89.99 for a new battery installed. This price, 89.99 is what Apple charges, so I thought "oh, they charge same as Apple store." After that phone conversation, the price wasn't discussed, and it didn't appear on the order slip I was handed after I dropped off the phone. However, when it was time to pay, suddenly the price was 109, so around 119 after taxes. I told them I was quoted 89.99, and the guy said "that's full price (109)." Weird way to end what was otherwise a pretty straight forward, pleasant experience. edit: note, the price was quoted AFTER they confirmed whether or not they had my battery in stock, they knew the phone model... I'm not saying their response is a lie, but they should definitely be more careful about quoting the correct price if they vary... from google "A battery replacement for an iPhone 12 mini through Apple costs $89 out of warranty"... call an apple store yourself, ask to see... but by Melrose Mac's own logic, their response, they wouldn't have quoted me a price until they knew the model... so think about that... edit2: See that Melrose did a partial refund so I paid what I was originally quoted... that was very cool of them... again, I gave them 4 stars... make sure to ask about the price, maybe get it in writing...

It's important for you to know how much I appreciate the people at Melrose Mac. AppleCare replaced a logic board on my 2022 MacBook Pro and told me that I would have no problem reinstalling all my stuff from a Time Machine backup on an NAS. I've done this before with no issues ... but for some reason, no soap. The backup would get to selecting the back up and say "Loading Backup" ... forever. Six hours at a time. Nine hours once. It would not find purchase no matter what I tried. I sat on the phone with Apple technical support for three hours. Nothing. I called my friends who work in IT. Fail. I tried multiple things I knew how to do -- install a base OS and try to use Migration assistant from there, try decrypting the files manually ... for a solid week I was vexed until Ryan, I was advised to try and buy a Mac Mini to see if the backup would install on that, but Ryan knew the older one I bought wouldn't be able to handle the files. He listened, he considered and he had the solution: hook an ethernet cable to a USB-C hub and connect that on one side to the MBP, on the other side to the wi-fi router. Six hours later, on a like-new computer, all my files and applications are back up like nothing ever went wrong. All because of Ryan, and the patient people at Melrose Mac (who didn't charge me to restock the old Mini). Decades worth of files, curated musical playlists from the 90s. Ryan also sold me a 2TB hard drive, where I backed up all the files *again* to avoid this happening again. Melrose Mac was, in every way careful, attentive, smart, understanding and ready to serve. This is my new favorite Apple vendor. Thank you to everyone there, and especially to Ryan.

Melrose Mac is a great store for new Mac computers and repairs. They also do factory warranty repairs. You don't have to take your computer to the Apple Stores, make an appt or wait in line. They have a great sales and tech staff and very helpful in answering any questions you may have. I have purchased several laptops and Mac Mini here, along with warranty service on laptops.

I have had one of my Macbooks fixed here. They did a good job on the hard drive. That way I did not have to purchase a new one. These guys will fix everything for you at a good rate. Depends how old your Macbook or Iphone is. Service was good, and I was a happy camper.

I've been a patron of MM for a number of years now, and they always exceed my expectations. Yesterday I took my iPhone in on a whim. The port had not been catching when I connect it to charge or other USB cables and I was out of ideas about what to do. I thought I might have to replace the phone. Josh helped me with a smile on his face. He took the phone to the back for about 2 minutes and when he emerged the port was totally clear. Now it works like new, and has made my life 5x easier. Thanks Josh, and thanks Melrose Mac.

I have no idea how the store is an authorized A.D. for Apple. I came in there today and they told me that they were incapable of fixing a broken MacBook screen that only had internal damage. Then he went to the back and came out and said we can do it for $1500. I immediately went to Apple right after and I got quoted half of that cost. These guys are crooks and unprofessional and don't know what they're doing.

Staff was friendly and appointments were available sooner than at the Apple Stores in the areas, which I really appreciated! My laptop wouldn't charge and unfortunately, their protocol is to run $80 diagnostic testing which would take 1-3 days. Once diagnosed, the repair would take another 7-10 business days and likely cost a couple hundred dollars, but TBD dependent on the results of the diagnostic testing. I was really hoping for a quick assessment of the problem and solution in a timely manner, as I use my computer for work. Should've saved myself the trip and just hit the Genius Bar :/ The store is very clean and the staff were accommodating and understanding, but unfortunately their protocol doesn't really work for busy people with urgent repairs!

So helpful, and so nice! And I they fixed it in under the time frame given!! I recommend to anyone and everyone!!! especially to those bamboozled by Apple into thinking their device can't be fixed and should just and I quote "buy a new laptop, that's the best option."

Kenia was absolutely amazing. She fixed my complicated computer issue in no time at all. Ryan was also wonderful- he is courteous, professional, and totally focused on helping his customers.

I am wildly tech incompetent, and I was so stressed coming in with my computer issues. However Andrew was so kind and patient. He was able to interpret my otherwise inarticulately expressed tech needs and create a solution for me that actually made sense to me. I'm so grateful for Andrew!

They should NOT be claiming to be certified Lenovo repair shop. Absolutely crummy customer support. Why would they even take the repair job when they cannot fix the laptop? They said they just became certified to fix Lenovo laptops when I went in and claimed they should be able to fix how slow the laptop was by updating it. I personally updated the laptop and did everything they would've done so I implored them to look deeper but alas, all they knew how to do is to just update the OS. Useless and damn stupid if you ask me

Excellent customer service. I came into the store with an Imac issue and Isaac spent a lot of time working with me in finding a solution for my problem. He a very skilled technician and more importantly an exceptional young man. I will be using Melrose Mac moving forward based on my experience with Isaac today. I highly recommend him and Melrose Mac.

A Godsend! What Apple and the Genius Bar literally took hours and hours and could not do, Isaac figured out what was seemingly impossible in less than an hour! They are beyond polite, professional and a wonder!

Peter is awesome! My phone broke, Verizon store was useless. They fixed my phone by ordering the part overnight. No charge due to apple care. Highly recommend.

I have very mixed feelings about my experience with MelroseMac--because ultimately, I got what I wanted (data recovery). They were successful. But it was an incredibly stressful experience. I really liked the Melrose Avenue storefront atmosphere and didn't have to wait very long to see someone at the counter. I explained what I needed for my MacBook laptop and it appeared to be no problem. I gave them my existing backup drive and told them they could just delete any old backups to make room on it if they needed to. I asked how long it would take, and the counter rep said, "Eh, 2/3 days. Maybe tomorrow." That was on August 23, 2021. I just got my data recovery back today, October 6. On August 26, I called to check status. They said he's working on it. On August 27, I called to check status. They said he's working on it. I asked if they could check and see exactly what's happening, and they called me back to say the technician was still working on it and they didn't know if he would get to it that day or the following Monday but they would reach out when it was completed. On August 31, they called to tell me my backup drive was full and asked if I would authorize the purchase of a new one from them. I said yes, and I waited. On September 2, I called to check status and they said he's working on it. I begged them for more information, telling them that it had been 8 days. I was on the verge of tears on the phone, and they just said they'd call if there was a problem. On September 3 before the Labor Day holiday weekend, I went into the store and asked to talk to a manager. Fortunately, the manager was right there (I think her name was Veronica?), so I was able to tell her that I was just looking for a straight answer as to what was going on with my computer, as it was Day 9 at that point. She looked up my account and told me that the data recovery job was beyond their capabilities at that location but that they could transfer it to their Burbank location if I authorized them to do so and paid $100 deposit. I gave them the go-ahead and paid the deposit, but the manager advised me that their transport wouldn't be able to bring my laptop to Burbank until the following Tuesday, September 7 and that it would take Burbank at least 3-4 weeks just for diagnostics. I'll write a separate review for my experience with the Burbank location as my Melrose location experience pretty much ended there (other than confirming by phone on Sept 9 that the laptop had indeed been transferred to Burbank). But here are some final thoughts. I went to MelroseMac because it was an authorized Mac repair shop, but the whole process felt shady like I went to some back alley computer repair place. I think they need to work on managing expectations much better -- had I known how long it was going to take (and how much money it ended up being in the end), I might've taken it elsewhere or tried to sled the hard drive myself. I get the impression that every time they told me the service tech was working on it, he wasn't really working on it -- and that just ramped up my anxiety. I also don't 100% trust that the data recovery actually WAS that complicated or required as much money as I ended up paying. But because it feels like I was lied to -- and definitely kept in the dark -- they never really earned my trust in the first place. I wonder how long it would've taken them to call me with the update I got when I walked into the store in person. When were they planning to tell me they needed to transfer to Burbank? So much for calling if there was a problem. If time isn't important, and you don't suffer from anxiety, MelroseMac is probably OK. I'd already done an online support session directly with Apple and had taken my laptop to the Genius Bar, so I felt like I'd exhausted my other options. And I am happy with the final result. But it's been a rollercoaster ride and over 6 weeks of misery (and A LOT of money).

The staff here is so friendly and helpful. I came here because I got something stuck in the charging port of my phone and they fixed it within just a few minutes. I highly recommend! S/O to Josh & Andrew.

Literally the most abysmal experience. I don't know why they are listed as apple service providers when they don't provide the same services. Went in to get one key replaced on my keyboard because I need it for work. I was told they don't provide that service and would need to replace my whole keyboard which would take a whole week. Walked two miles to be there too.

Oh wow my computer was messed up with some very bad malware. I tried to fix it myself to no avail. I even went to another fixit store and was turned away. Then I came to Melrose Mac on Melrose and met Jesse. He was friendly and accommodating and fixed my computer in no time flat. I highly recommend Melrose Mac and be sure to ask for Jesse.

Arrived at MelroseMAC in a panic after trying desperately to deal with a crippling storage issue on my MacBook Air. I fully expected to have to leave it for a diagnostic to untangle the mess I had made of things. Instead, I was lucky to find Peter at the repair counter; he listened to my sad story with patience and then -- incredibly --and in literally a matter of seconds, located the problem and fixed it. 451 podcasts that I had unwittingly downloaded had absorbed a huge portion of my storage capacity. Peter explained how to avoid that in future and also formatted an external hard drive that I couldn't get to work so I could do a much-needed back-up. Amazingly--no charge for this life-saving assistance. Thank you, Peter! Thank you, MelroseMAC!

Had the best experience at the Genius Bar with Pete earlier this month... This review is over due, I've been meaning to gush over the service I received at MelroseMac! I was locked out of a few work devices, I had to spend time searching for info and Pete had the patience (and extensive knowledge) to help me work through it until my problems were resolved. Love this store!!! Best Apple Store in the land!!!

I'm a boomer trying hard to keep up with tech updates. My MacBook stopped connecting to WiFi. Peter suggested updating from Firefox to Sonoma (yes I already said I'm trying to keep up with tech). I didn't have enough space on my hard drive, so Peter showed me how to delete apps and then suggested I transfer my photo libraries to a hard drive, sold me the hard drive, and showed me how to transfer the files. An hour and a half later, we checked to make sure photos had transferred, and started the Sonoma update. I wasn't able to wait, so I left my Mac returned for it, all installed, connected to WiFi, and ready to go. The store was immaculate and every staff member was polite. I was blown away by how pleasant and easy Peter made this process, and i noticed while I was waiting that other clients were getting the same great service. We need more service providers like Peter and Melrose Mac.

I cannot recommend MelroseMac enough!! Truly a top notch business with amazing employees that provide the best costumer service! And believe me, you do not find this quality of service from cost cutting businesses now a days. For technical support, please ask for Andrew. He is incredibly knowledgeable, will walk you thorough all your concerns and ease whatever problems you may behaving, truly going the extra mile for you. I also cannot say enough good things about Erica as well. She has gone above and beyond for me. Tonight she is giving up her off time in order for me to find my lost iphone. Can't thank her enough. That being said, in the future, I will bypass the crowded Apple Stores where you will be lucky to flag down a helping employee. MelroseMac will now get all my Apple business from here on out!

I have used Melrose a few times for repairs. Each time they answered questioned, helped me through the entire process and were completed with their repairs faster than expected. So much better than an Apple store or Geek Squad. Looking for quick, personal service this is the place to go.

I went in today because I sat on my Mac Book Air and smashed the screen. Jessie was AMAZING!! One of the best experiences I've had in LA doing... ANYTHING. I highly recommend you come here to have your faith in humanity boosted. Jessie - & Melrose Mac owners - should be proud.

A few days ago I was on my computer and having my coffee and I stepped away to take a call and when I came back I had a black screen and some rainbow lines in the corner of my MacBook pro laptop. I called apple support and they could not get it going for me, I tried to get an appt with the genius bar but they were none available until way later on in the day. I then found Melrose Mac. I got an appt right away. The store is beautiful, clean and all the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I got Jesse to help me, after literally a min he asked me " do you have a cat" I said yes and he said well there is your issue a cat bite in the corner, I have seen this before. I couldn't believe it. I have apple care and this store is a certified apple center. Since parts are coming from China and are hard to come by I knew it would be at least 2-3 weeks before getting my computer back so I bought a new one so I can now have 2 in case something like this happens again. Jesse helped me transfer all data from my broken computer to my new one. He was so patient and so helpful and I felt taken care of. This location is central and so easy to get to. I will never go anywhere else for any issues I will have. So thanks to Melrose Mac and to Jesse for helping me through a super stressful situation.

I rarely ever write a review. I don't see the point of constantly needing validation. That being said, I do see the point of recognition. Yesterday on July 11, 2023, I was between a rock and a hard place. I needed to get a new laptop of some sort, and I had a very specific budget, and I came down to the wire. Melrose Mac was my last stop. I will say this, because of Katie Jamison, who is a literal hero, Melrose Mac is forever going to be my IT, computer, tech store. Because of Katie, I was able to catch up on what appeared to be an instrumental amount of work. If you need anything involving computers, I absolutely recommend this location. They have everything you need, if they don't have it, they can get it, and the best part is that the people who work at this location genuinely care. You feel, the sense of authenticity the second you walk into this location. I'm immensely grateful for Katie & Melrose Mac! 6 stars!

A high end shop that services creative professionals. If you go into an Apple store, they will have every version of Macbook Air and iPad available but if you try to buy a high end MacBook Pro with say 64 GB of RAM, you will half to wait for them to build and ship it to you from China. With Apple quoting me a six week lead time on a 16 core Mac Pro, Melrose Mac was able to deliver it the same day. I anticipate years of business with these guys. Thanks Christian and Brice! UPDATE: Christian told me that I could trade the glossy display in for a matte version. He emailed telling me his boss said not without a 15% restocking fee IE $1000. I wrote a response asking them to reconsider and I heard nothing back. After following up 3x, I decided to bring this to yelp. I spent $18,000 on a Mac Pro + Pro Display XDR and they can't even give respond to an email. If they ever respond to me, I'll go back, but we will be using The Apple Business to outfit our production studio until then. Final Update: After reading the review, the sales manage called me saying they would take care of me. This was more than I actually expected as I was just looking for ANY response from Christian. I guess in the end, they took care of me. Started off as a 5/5 review, I think 4/5 is fair as I was ignored for about a month after spending close to $20k. They have kept me as a customer when I can't get something quickly enough from apple business.

They really saved me! Everyone told me that my issue could not be solved and I went in here and they helped me right away, even without an appointment and without charging me! Definitely recommend!

Prepared to purchase a new computer, I took my slowing laptop in to MelroseMac where Jesse was not only friendly and knowledgeable, but incredibly patient and took all the necessary precautions in backing up my computer and freeing up lots of space - simultaneously saving me many $$$!!! Very grateful for Jesses immediate comprehension of my laptops issues and being able to remedy the situation for me in just a few hours. So thankful!
