"Melt" Ice Creams - (Mule Alley) Stockyards
Y'all, this delicious place is Texas bread and women owned. They currently offer 4 locations; Magnolia, Bishop Arts, Mule Alley and Willow Park.
It's located in the heart of Stockyards and Mule Alley. As you stroll through Mule Alley, towards Hotel Drover, it's located on the left side, Suite 624, close to "Catarina's" and "Cowtown Winery."
It's very small and cozy atmosphere and the lines can get long. It's obvious people love "Melt" ice cream because strolling through Stockyards, you will find every other person with a cup or cone in their hands.
But, the wait is worth it to indulge in cold creamy creations they offer. Inside you will find bright yellow colors with fun merchandise to take home with you. I ordered, "Chocolate Chocolate," one scoop.
The man next to me ordered "Dark Chocolate," scoop and I would have ordered that instead since I prefer "Dark Chocolate." However, "Chocolate Chocolate," was creamy and sweet.
The staff were great at accommodating each customer and helping them with choices they may not have been familiar with.
I will definitely be returning here, to continue supporting Texas Women and for that "Dark Chocolate," scoop, or two, or three, or more.
" In 2014, MELT founder Kari Crowe-Seher figured out what was missing from DFW: premium small batch, high-quality ice cream!" You can read their full story on their website.
