"Melt Ice Creams started scooping in Fort Worth’s buzzy entertainment area Sundance Square, reports the Dallas Morning News. Its third yellow-lined location is sized at 550 square feet, with minimal seating. Flavors include strawberry buttermilk and a pineapple concoction with spiced rum caramel swirls, dubbed “Boozy Buccaneer,” along with vegan and seasonal selections. The local biz, run by couple Kari Crowe-Seher and Mark Seher, has two other locations in Fort Worth and the Bishop Arts District. [Dallas News]" - Tierney Plumb

Nice location right on main street and the place was very clean and nice and cold. A few seating spots along the windows. No restroom unfortunately. Young lady working the store was very helpful with samples and was very nice and friendly. Excellent unique flavor variety (ex. peach bourbon cobbler, lemon blueberry pie). Scoops are fairly small size and $5 (a little higher than your neighborhood shop, but seeing as this is downtown Ft. Worth, I actually expected it to be a little higher). The vibe is colorful and fun, and they sell some amusing merchandise as well. All that said, the most important thing is the ice cream, right? Well, on this they were top notch - flavor was great, mix-ins were the right portion, and we were very happy with our treat. Give them a try!

Google
I LOVE the ice cream and I'm glad they're back downtown! But I've stopped by around 7:00pm for a shake two nights in a row now and the door's locked because they "stepped out for a minute." Very frustrating.

Google
As a resident of downtown Fort Worth, I was craving a milk shake during a 95 degree day. I googled the new ice cream shop and grabbed my keys and money. After I walked down there, there was a line out the door. I patiently waited in line until my turn. After the clerk took my order, she looked at me curiously as I handed her my cash. I’m sorry, we don’t accept cash she told me. I almost laughed out loud but her facial expression told me this was no joke. I left and grabbed my car to go to Braum’s melts lost a downtown resident as a customer I checked the website when I returned and nowhere does it says no cash.

THIS is the best ice cream I believe I've ever had anywhere! I suggest the 2 scopes bowl or cone, chocolate chocolate and espresso martini!

Unfortunately, we had a pretty terrible experience here, largely due to the service we received from a rude employee. We also weren't very impressed with the ice cream. It was sickeningly sweet, and the flavors didn't taste fresh or flavorful; they were pretty commercial. Points for the unique flavors, the gluten-free labeling, and the many plant-based options, though! The girl working had an attitude from the moment we opened the door. She treated us like she was irritated that she even had to wait on customers, and was dismissive and rude. And my very biggest pet peeve - she was wearing one of her AirPods and listening to something or on a phone call or whatever. It's so unprofessional, downright tacky, and rude. In the end, of the three of us, only two of us got ice cream, and one of them threw theirs away because it wasn't very good. We immediately looked up other nearby ice cream shops, and ended up at Le Creamian, where the owner was working, and we learned that she makes all of the ice cream in-house. Holy cow, some of the best ice cream and service I've ever had, hands down. Skip Melt, visit the small local business, Le Creamian, and treat yourself to real, true, homemade ice cream and gracious, enthusiastic service.

Google
It’s a small place, recommend to sit out side. No restroom. Not many flavors to choose from. If you have allergies it’s not your place. They have strawberry and peanut butter ice cream. Great ice cream. For those who don’t have allergies.

Google
It was a fun late night ice cream run for us. The Cookie Crush was awesome! Everyone enjoyed our choices immensely, and we had fun sitting at the table to eat. The shop was full of customers even at 10 PM.

Google
Why is it so green inside? They Make it so hard to see what items they sell. $5 for one scoop! Let’s say I’ll never go there again! For $10 they probably bought the whole container. $3.50 is more reasonable but still high for 1 scoop of ice cream 🍨

Yelp
I am not really an ice cream person.. but it's hot today! I tried the strawberry basil flavor and it did not disappoint. Fresh for the taste buds and satisfying to the sweet tooth! A cute little ice cream shop with friendly staff and delicious flavors. They even make shakes! I love the yellow theme, it instantly uplifts your mood when you walk in.

Robert B.

Yelp
Portion size is adequate to the vessel being served. Price however is a bit higher than the quantity provided. Service was prompt and friendly. Although it was only I in the establishment. Ice cream is subtle. Not a punch in the face of sweetness that you would get from a chain ice cream parlor. Flavor is a little on the underwhelming side. Consistency of the ice cream is good. Just firm enough to be scooped easily. But I think in the TX heat you have about 45 seconds before becoming a drippy mess.

Kate B.

Yelp
Melt Ice Cream in Fort Worth is definitely worth a visit! I'd give it 4 stars. I tried the chocolate and cake batter flavors, and since it was "Taco Tuesday," they served it in a taco waffle, which was a fun twist. The ice cream is a bit on the pricey side, but the service was really good despite them being slammed. The space is tiny, so it was pretty busy, but overall, a great spot for some delicious and creative ice cream, it was a nice treat after eating at the drover!

Lilly A.

Yelp
Amyrah did a great job taking care of us. Very clean inside, and we appreciated the tip of dealing with the valet people.

Yolanda H.

Yelp
Cute small batch ice cream shop in Downtown Forth Worth, near Sundance Square. I went there specifically for non-dairy options. There were three non dairy options available today, dark chocolate, dreamciscle (sp?) and a peanut butter with stratta chocolate bits. I believe all the dairy free options are coconut milk based. Dark chocolate was my final decision. The line was at the door. However the wait is not long. The team is efficient with scoops and check out.

Ankita S.

Yelp
This place has one of the best Dulce de leche ice cream I've had! It had a great balance of strawberry and pistachio. I got it in a waffle cone. A cute ice-cream spot in downtown. They have a bench inside and some outdoor seating. You can try flavours before you decide which one to order. The service was quick. The server was helpful and explained all the flavours well. I'd come back again!

Paul R.

Yelp
Lots of great flavors including some rotating options to keep things interesting! Good but not the best ever - but definitely worth a visit when you're nearby and craving dessert!

Noshin J.

Yelp
A bright and welcoming ice-cream shop! So many flavors and types of way to enjoy your ice cream. From a waffle cone, to a cup, to a sandwich, to a sundae and shake, to even a cake!! This place can surly please your tastebuds! They do allow you taste a unique flavor before you indulge! I enjoyed tasting the different and not so common flavors that are unique and seasonal. I would totally stop by here again!

Natalie H.

Yelp
Why are the reviews so good here? :( If you want an $8 cup of flavored milk this is your place! Very water downed milk shakes... And the flavors are bland...

Deanna J.

Yelp
The bright and inviting decor set the stage for some of the best ice cream I've had in a long while. The friendly staff suggested samples of two options, Strawberry Buttermilk, and Hazelnut Strawberry & Dark Chocolate, since I was torn on what go with. After seeing them with my eyes only, I assumed the strawberry would win out. Wrong! The flavor of hazelnut ice cream literally burst in mouth when I bit into a strawberry after initially tasting the chocolate hazelnut only. Needless to say, I got a scoop on a waffle cones. I'm in town for a conference and am seriously considering finding by way back down there to get a second cone before I head back to SA.

Ishara F.

Yelp
The ice creams had very light flavor. The cherry brownie ice cream was a good flavor and I have always had difficulty finding cherry ice cream at other places.

Melissa G.

Yelp
Flavors are spot on and they always have rotating seasonal flavors. Wish they offered a kids size but it's easy enough to take home and enjoy the rest later! Open late too which is a plus for an after dinner treat!

Makenna C.

Yelp
All in all the store is super cute and the ambiance is nice but the staff was very awkward and quiet for an ice cream shop - I don't think they even said one word to us lol Ice cream was good though!

Andrew T.

Yelp
Great ice cream spot with a few standard flavors as well as a few rotating ones. Kind of reminds me of a salt and straw but Texas version. We really liked their cookie dough flavors as well as their sea salt

Nicole R.

Yelp
MELT is a cute and convenient ice cream spot downtown. The smell coming from the inside was heavenly. We are new to the area and staying close by. Craving ice cream and we always really like these cool little places....they always have the best ice cream! The rocky road was great! It had a good amount of chunks in it...which lacks in any store bought rocky road these days. I really loved it though my only "complaint" would be that the cones are softer than I like. We usually love when the homemade cones are very crunchy. These were not our preference but still, super delicious and swell-deserved of 5 stars.

Steve B.

Yelp
Delicious ice cream and friendly fast service in a convenient downtown location! Highly recommended!

Julia D.

Yelp
Such a cute ice cream spot with tons of options! Fun seasonal flavors that change, and classic flavors so something for everyone. I got the salted caramel with the seasonal waffle cone (chocolate dipped with hazelnuts) and thought it was great.

Saeed A.

Yelp
The ice cream was great! I tried the cup of Texas (coffee) and rocky roads flavors and they both were spot on. The service was quick and staff kept the line moving. The place is a bit small but there were some seats to take a break from the heat and enjoy the ice cream. I'd go back to try some of the other flavors for sure!

Dallas M.

Yelp
I love these types of modern artisan ice cream shops. I'd compare Melt to Salt and Straw prevalent on the west coast. Salt and straw has more flavor options, but the ice cream itself for both, as far as texture, taste, and creativity go are equal to me. I had the lavender honey flavor in a vanilla cone. I think this flavor is available seasonally or on a cycle based on the "sometimes" label on the menu. It was fantastic! I had high expectations already but when I took my first bite I literally said out loud to myself "dang that's good". Overall perfection to me. I must give kudos to the gentleman working the afternoon of Saturday April 30, 2022. There was a hefty line and he was the ONLY employee. He handled the crowd with such grace! His service was efficient and he was so kind and friendly to every single guest. He was happy to offer samples and answer any questions, and made a point to thank each customer for their patience. The joyful atmosphere made the wait in line more pleasant. I love the bold yellow decor. It really sparks a child like ebullience, fitting for a treat like ice cream enjoyed by children and adults alike!

Austin K.

Yelp
I tried the mint chocolate brownie, cookie crunch, and coffee. Like others have said, it's creamy and good - I don't think it's a must have per se, but I liked the flavors. You certainly get lots of cookies with the cookie crunch, but not big chunks of cookies. For the coffee, there is a notable 'real' coffee taste but not too strong enough to ward off someone like me who doesn't like coffee. I also sampled the pickle cookie crunch which was interesting, and I didn't hate it surprisingly.

Loren B.

Yelp
Melt provides a cheerful vibe in which to enjoy boutique creams with a social conscience. It's the kind of place whose product is as much how you feel as "what you get". Is there a happier food than ice cream? Even so, we've all been to sad creameries with sticky counters and dated decors. Melt excels at it's brand of "Fine Texas Dairy", providing a small selection of really interesting flavors, many having Texas-themed names (Salt Lick, Cup of Texas, etc.). And the ice cream is just DANG good. On a recent visit with my daughter, who has been an ice cream girl her whole life, we were informed it was "Global Act Of Kindness Day". We were invited to participate by pulling a sticky with a kind message on it ("You are loved" "You're the coolest", etc.) down from the window that someone else had paid for that could be applied towards the purchase of our cones. We chose to use one and pay for another, providing the opportunity to both pick and write a kind message. Cool idea. I ordered the Pumpkin Cheesecake on a peppermint cone, cuz why not? DeeLISH. Outdoor seating was nicely lit, if a bit chilly when we were there. Melt has collaborated with the mad scientists of brew at Martin House in a cream ale. They are legendary in the Montgomery community. Highly recommended!

Shelby D.

Yelp
This ice cream shop is so good, it convinced me to have dessert before dinner! Never have I done that and it was so worth it. I got the pumpkin cheesecake ice cream and it was not a disappointment at all. Flavors so rich and creamy, definitely comparable to Blue Bell. I wish we had one of these in Houston! Different and unique flavors to choose from, it was hard to choose. Cant wait to visit again!

Rey M.

Yelp
An honest "Rey Eats" Review: $ Honestly, this place was not the best. The service that we received was rude and felt like the customers were not welcome. I do not recommend going here even on a hot day. The place is cramped, so do not plan on eating inside or outside due to limited seating. Lastly, the ice cream texture is a little "gummy" for our liking. Overall, would not come again.

Jennifer V.

Yelp
The ice cream was good! The place said it had frozen yogurt, but there wasn't any. They have rare flavors, which is interesting!

Mallory F.

Yelp
Cashier was very helpful and patient while I figured out what I wanted to order! Food was awesome, I got a cookies and cream sundae with whipped cream and hot fudge. I was a little surprised that it was in a cup considering the price ($7+), but it was delicious and there was plenty of ice cream for only one scoop :)

Brianne D.

Yelp
Amazing ice cream! Knew it would be from the moment I walked up as there was a line out the door. Only negative is that it is a small building so not much room to wait in line, most likely you'll be waiting outside for a short amount of time. Also wish there was more inside seating. Besides this, the ice cream is delicious and full of creamy flavor! Lots of options and clean facility!

Latisha B.

Yelp
Cute little spot in an adorable area! Had a double scoop of strawberry and their version of cookies n' cream! Waffle cone of course! Ice cream was perfect texture and not too sweet! Will be back again!

Natasha L.

Yelp
So much variety, and there are vegan and gluten free options as well. The coffee ice cream was exceptional! The cashier was so nice, patient, and helpful. She seemed to really enjoy being there. My family had scoops and I had a shake and they were all a great amount for the price. The shop is bright and cute for photos if you're into that!

Kayla S.

Yelp
After a hot long walk in the city, stopping into Melts hit the perfect spot!!!! The workers were so nice allowing me to try flavors and let me tell you.... The flavors are FULLLLLLL of flavor! If you haven't had melts, you have to try it! You won't be disappointed!

Scott B.

Yelp
Enjoyed the Cookie Crush shake. Great flavor and crunch. Not as sweet as I was hoping though, bit it cxooled me off this summer Sunday afternoon.

Kate S.

Yelp
Such a big let down after reading great reviews about this place. I thought it would was hard to mess up ice cream but the cookie dough ice cream was completely flavorless. We had a few bites and didn't even finish it. Felt like it was lacking sugar and the cookie dough chunks were non-existent. We had a group of 6 and none of us were impressed with our flavors. The key lime was terrible as well. Sadly I won't be back.

Tania T.

Yelp
Got denied water after spending 20 bucks on ice cream cause owner doesn't do that anymore lol

Krysta H.

Yelp
DELICIOUS! stopped in for the first time tonight and had the salt lick in a waffle cone and was probably some of the best ice cream I've ever had. the girl at the counter was sweet and very helpful.

Beryl D.

Yelp
Cute little ice cream shop in Downtown Ft. Worth. Love the yellow decor and the Christmas decor they had up. The staff was super friendly and it was nice and tidy in there. I ordered the Santa's Cookies.. delish!

Jeremy F.

Yelp
Lovely ice cream spot! They have some of the best ice cream in the city, and they're fairly priced. They have a ton of flavor options, and they welcome all the sample requests! I tried 4 or 5 flavors before deciding on the tiramisu flavor, and I was not disappointed! Creamy, soft, delicious. They also have cone and ice cream sandwich options, which I will certainly try in the future. This is great place to go after a coffee or dinner date on Magnolia!

Nicky G.

Yelp
ice cream was delicious and the staff was polite. It is a little space and some people can make it really uncomfortable by not respecting space, i recommend just getting your ice cream and leaving to eat it outside in order to let others enter.

Brittlyn L.

Yelp
BEST ICE CREAM I'VE EVER HAD!! (DF review) Oh my gosh this little shop surpassed my expectations by leaps and bounds!! If you're a fellow dairy-intolerant person or someone with a milk/gluten allergy you know just how frustrating it is to never be able to get REAL ice cream out with friends... other than whatever the Italian ice of the week is of course- and that's just not the same!! But look no further- you will NEVER have that problem at Melt Fort Worth!! They have a large variety of both vegan and gluten free options, and they're the SAME flavors that everyone else gets to choose from too!! The night that we stopped in I chose from "Peanut Butter Explosion", "Dark Chocolate", and what I ended up getting ,"Lemon Blueberry Pie". Let me tell you- this was by FAR the BEST ice cream that I have EVER had!! And you totally could have told me that it was full fat dairy and cream and I would have believed you- it was just that darn indescribably good!! The "Lemon Blueberry Pie" had a blueberry jam type mix in and also pie crust pieces that just melted in your mouth!! And the lemon flavor tasted so fresh - the whole thing was just so insanely good... Not something that us people with food intolerances normally get the luxury of having!! I also love that they scoop it right in front of you just behind a glass partition so you can see what you are getting and don't have to worry about accidentally getting dairy-ed or gluten-ed like other shops!! This shop is just all around amazing - the sweetest staff and such a cute & clean building too. We will definitely be stopping in again before our trip is over!! Don't miss out- stop in on your next trip to the Stockyards!!

Bob D.

Yelp
The ice cream wasn't fresh (ice crystals in 3 different flavors) and the service left so much to be desired. Additionally, the place doesn't feel clean / sanitary. A real disappointment from a place advertising as a local spot - we wanted to love it.

Haley B.

Yelp
We were craving some ice cream after dinner, so I looked up what was near by. We had never been here so I figured we would give it a try. I ordered their seasonal flavor Merry Marshmallow, which is hot chocolate flavored ice cream with homemade vanilla marshmallows in it. I got mine in a cup with an additional topping of Cajeta. It was delicious! Not too sweet, and the marshmallows were nice and soft. I can't wait to try more flavors. My husband had their Salt Lick (salted caramel) in a cone. He said he really enjoyed it, and that the cone was amazing. Sorry for the lack of pictures, we ate too fast!

James B.

Yelp
Only one employee while we were there, didn't look to happy to be in that situation but did a great job of getting our order taken care of. Great flavors of ice cream as usual.

Jimmy D.

Yelp
Stopped here after work a couple of days ago. Made a yelp account just to add this review. A woman with long black hair (not in uniform) was extremely rude to me. She was very snappy and short as if she didn't have time to serve me. I told her I have a peanut allergy but I didn't see any precautions take place. I ended up getting the salt lick and there were ice chips in there?? and a piece of dark looking ice cream? Very gross. I ended up sitting outside where there was something very offensive about our former president donald trump carved in the table. Not sure I would go back.

Gabriel W.

Yelp
This place is pretty cute. The pricing is on par with other places of similar caliber. They do have indoor seating however it is not open at this time. They carry a variety of about 10 flavors of ice cream at a time and it should be more than enough to satisfy everyone who visits. I ordered their version of cookies and cream and it was pretty good. It tasted slightly darker with probably more dark chocolate and it was wonderful. The service was quick and efficient. The cashiers do ask you to your face if you want to tip them as you check out which is a little odd. Imagine as if your restaurant server asked you how much you wanted to tip them when the bill arrived. Weird right? Maybe have a different system for that because it's almost guilting customers to pay extra.

Tina H.

Yelp
Ordered the rocky road and it was so good. First time trying this place and I will definitely come back.

aieman h.

Yelp
Disappointed , not a big variety and the flavors were not great at all and was expensive for a small cup

Kimberly K.

Yelp
As a new Englander I was questioning how good ice cream in Texas can be and I can easily say this is great ice cream! The cones are delicious and the ice cream is out of this world good. I was skeptical of the Tx lavender and honey ice cream on the menu and had a sample and it was shockingly tasty and the most unique ice cream I've ever had. Five stars from an old fashioned ice cream lover!

laurie L.

Yelp
Was not a fan, very few flavors with very little taste. My husband got a strawberry shake that was completely white and absolutely no flavor. The staff was very nice though!!

Kristen G.

Yelp
The ice cream was good, but seriously over priced. We spent almost $20 for 3 people. Plus they only had one person working the day we went, so it took a while for everyone to get their ice cream.

Alexis-Ann M.

Yelp
We love their vegan and non dairy option ice creams. The dark chocolate is delicious and non grainy. Love it!

Karen H.

Yelp
This is quite possibly the creamiest and yummiest ice cream on the planet. They have fun/funky flavors and lots of dairy free/plant based options. I love that the ice cream isn't too sweet. It's just perfect!

Kristy D.

Yelp
I had the cookie Crunch! It was so good and I could tell it was made homemade. So creamy! That is saying a lot since we r from Oklahoma and we have Braums. The were very friendly! I will definitely recommend this place anyone visiting Ft. Worth, Tx.
