Updates: We revisited after getting a response from the manager, and it was fantastic this time! Greeted and seated right away. Service, food quality, and ambience was all perfect. We ordered 4 course meal and it was filling and a fun experience. Definitely coming back! ‐------------------------------------------------------ Original post: When we went there, we weren't even greeted for more than 15 minutes. There was a server but she didn't sit us down or showed us menu nothing like that. She simply said they have a shortage of workers that day, without telling us how long we should wait or no apologies. There was another group who waited with us more than 10 minutes and we all left the restaurant. Pretty sure the only server wanted us to just leave. Understand that a shortage of staff is a big issue but I'm sure they could have handled it differently. I've never experienced a resutaurant just totally ghosting ppl when there were tons of empty tables. They could have came up with a waiting system or something like that. It was just bizzare..

We have come here multiple times for dinner, but never for lunch. I looked at the lunch menu online and decided to give it a try. Upon entering around 11:20, the restaurant was empty and there wasn’t anyone in sight. We stood around for about 5-8 min and finally, our server saw us and seated us, but gave us dinner menus. I asked about the lunch menu and the server, Joe, asked if I meant the brunch menu? I said, the lunch menu that’s posted online. There was some confusion bc he said he only works nights and was just filling in for someone. He brought the brunch menu and it showed $25 for the “Fondue in a Flash”, but the website showed $20. He honored the web site price, which we appreciated. We ordered 2 of those and my sons got a burger and a chicken sandwich. The size of the burger and chicken sandwich was very generous for $15 and came with fries, which were very good. Our cheese fondue tasted like it needed salt or something bc it was quite bland. The salads were good. The skewers were a good portion and tasted good but were dry with no dipping sauces. Joe told us it was just him and one cook there. The cook even came out and let us know the skewers were coming and apologized for the delay bc we had mentioned we had an appt to get to. They were both excellent and provided great service. The restaurant was FREEZING though and the bench in the booth we were seated in was all torn up (see pic), which looked terrible for a somewhat nice restaurant. Another lady came into the restaurant when we were eating and stood around, but since no one was upfront to assist her, she eventually left. Eventually, there was only one other solo diner while we were there - they must survive on the dinner business? Overall, we would prob go back, but if it got any busier, they would need more than one cook and one server to run the whole restaurant.

We had a very great experience at Melting Pot El Paso. My husband and I were having a Date Night and I love it! Cesar was the most amazing server, very friendly and knowledgeable of everything we ask at the menu. I truly recommend it!!!

Lazarus F.

Google
Overall experience...pretty good! Ordered the 4 course dinner! To be honest....got full! Well worth it.....fresh and flavorful! I took the option of cooking on the cast iron....next time I would use the broth option! The dessert portion was absolutely amazing! I gave 4 stars for only having 3 servers which delayed our service to the table

Kira R.

Google
Went here for a date night, it was UNBELIEVABLE. I loved every second of it. First time ever with my husband and our server, Caesar, made the experience so much better! Although the prices were high we still had an amazing time, can’t wait to go again!!

Google
We had a blast! Thursdate was a total success! She loved the rose petals! The staff was incredible!

Google
My wife and I had an amazing date night at the Melting Pot El Paso in Texas and we must say that this place was spot on… everything was perfect under the care of our FIRST CLASS WATER, Mr. Cesar!!! He was extremely polite, explained the process of cooking our own food, and treated us with extra desert at the end… we highly recommend this ROMANTIC RESTAURANT to anyone in El Paso without a shadow of doubt. Look for Mr. Cesar as your waiter and you’ll be glad you did… #meltingpotelpaso

Google
Such a wonderful experience celebrating my husband’s birthday here. We had a four course meal and the food was a 10/10! The service was top-notch,our server "JOE" was very attentive, friendly, and made us feel so welcome. The ambience was exceptional and set the perfect mood for the evening. They even made the birthday feel extra special, which we truly appreciated. Overall, everything from start to finish exceeded our expectations. We'll surely be coming back! 🫶🏼

Yelp
Caesar was an amazing waiter. Very hospitable, easy to talk to and knew his job insensively. Whenever my partner and I return, we would love to have him serve us again!

Yelp
We decided to try this place out instead of going to PF Chang's next door. We are so happy we came here. The atmosphere was so relaxed and the music selection was on point. Our Erver "Joe" helped us navigate our way through the menu and we received an experience that we will always cherish. Cooking food and dipping at our table was fun and we will come back again. Highly recommend!

Danny S.

Yelp
It's the worst food I've ever seen in my life for those prices. For Me it's 0 star. The service was perfect, for this kind the food it's better to go to the supermarket and buy the meat and other stuff and boil yourself.
google avatar

Gloria M.

Yelp
I love this restaurant. Once they bring you your food, you dip your meat in the melting pot for like 45 seconds and it's done. I've never seen meat cook so fast. The drinks and cocktails are out of this world. It's a romantic restaurant. Great place to take your other half. The love martini or the gummy bear martini is my favorite.

Yelp
Due to my wonderful experience here, I returned on a Monday evening. Seating was easy. The ordering process went well. When we received our cheese, it was barely warm, so it wasn't all melted. We had to wait for the hot plate to warm it. The pretzel pieces were dry and stale, we had only two (2) cherry tomatoes one for each of us, the carrots were hard and white, a few flowerlets of brococcoli, and they added green apples - which were the only fruit on the chocolate fondue as well. No other vegetables. Very disappointing. The $9 small salad lacked tomatoes or any other vegetables except romaine lettuce, and used blue cheese instead of gargonzola. The dark chocolate was yummy, but we almost missed the flambé - it was totally an afterthought. The service was second rate- the waiter obviously was in a super hurry because he so rushed through the explanation that you couldn't understand him! They no longer provide "plates" for you to get your hot dipped food from the cook stove . I guess they want it to go directly in your mouth! Which I tried, and burned myself. I had to ask for plates when served each dish. For the prices, this trip was a very disappointing experience

Yelp
Sooooo the ambiance is great for a date night when you are not in a hurry to eat because you are more interested in talking to each other. BUT if you are coming with an appetite you need to know that it takes awhile for the food to come out and you have to cook it yourself. So guys, if you are taking me out, hint, hint, do not take me some place where I have to cook! If you are with a group of friends, as I was tonight - the entire experience can be fun. The wait staff was excellent at explaining the menu. We were a large group and they took excellent care of us. Yes good marks for food and service and plus plus for ambiance.

Thunder B.

Yelp
Overpriced poor quality food that took 5 hours. The concept should have disappeared in the 80s.
google avatar

Yelp
The melting pot is an experience. Far too often we rush through dinner without enjoying the experience. The melting pot offers a fun way of dining. I'm not sure what it was called but we did the combo for 2. It was way too much food for us! We did the Wisconsin aged cheese for the cheese fondue and it was amazing!!! Next we had a Caesar salad and a California salad. Next came out our entree. We had the steak lover and the classic. We couldn't eat it all so we cooked the rest to take with us. The last part was of course the chocolate fondue! We had the cookies and cream and it was absolutely amazing. Our server was so sweet. We came in for an early lunch before a flight and it was so good! Can't wait to go back again.

Yelp
I heard about this place when I was in Washington State. All my friends who were married or who were dating would go to this place and rave about it. I went there with no reservation and the place was fairly quiet and didn't have a lot of people. When I looked at the menu I saw a meat platter you could get that you cook for yourself on a hot stone. Being the carnivore I am I did that and my wife had the same. When the portions of meat came out, It was almost quarter-sized bits of beef and meats along with a coaster-sized hot stone that you could cook on. It would be a good meat course if you are not that hungry and were all about that fondue. the hot stone was also super hot and most of the beef stuck to the stone caused more of the meat to be lost in the cooking. My wife had the cheese fondue and enjoyed it but I couldn't eat it due to being lactose intolerant. She also tried the good desert platter but once again it was in bite-sized pieces Coming here to spend over $100 on food that made my wife happy sure didn't fill my stomach. I had to go to a drive-thru after seeing how I was still hungry after the dinner

Yelp
We went here for my husband's birthday, we asked for a booth and it was cozy and romantic. Our server was new but still great and answered all of our questions. We did The complete experience for two. I was worried we were still going to be hungry after we left, but we left with full bellies! The food was so good and it was such a fun experience. They also had gluten free options for almost anything on the menu and were very knowledgeable! We can't wait to go back again!

Yelp
I can't even begin to describe how disappointing this dinner was. I wish I had looked this place up before going eat here. If I had known what the deal was I wouldn't have even come. Or I would have chosen an earlier reservation and ordered more. Basically we made a reservation at 7:30. We didn't get attended to for about ten minutes. Once we did, we ordered drinks and appetizer. Another ten minutes. Then got our drinks. Repeat that ten minutes. And basically long wait. The food wasn't even that good. The service wasn't good either. It was a boring dinner. What we ordered: Spinach artichoke cheese fondue 2 classics fondue 2 seafood fondue The food was sub par and so was the service. 2/5

Yelp
Flies everywhere and had to rush to eat before they got on the food wonder what the situation is like in the back

Hunter S.

Yelp
This is the worst food experience I have ever had Took 30 min to get waters and our drinks Took 1 hour to get the salad Finished our entree and didn't even wait get the fountain because they left us sitting here for 30 minutes after we finished and no acknowledgment Filet wasn't fresh
google avatar

Angela Q.

Yelp
service was slow, took 2 hours from start to finish. they need to hire more staff. however, our waiter is very nice and informative. it ends up being like a hot pot for the main entree.

Yelp
Always a great place to eat! Great food with wonderful service. Our server Isaac was very professional & personable! I would definitely recommend

Yelp
I had a chocolate fondue for the first time here at The Melting Pot, and it's probably the best food I've tasted in a while. My date and I went there, and we were alone in the restaurant and it was amazing service. The atmosphere of The Melting Pot is the perfect location for a first date or any date there after.

B W.

Yelp
First time to a Melting Pot and didn't expect the high pressure salesmanship from our server, Luis. Tried to order A La Carte and he would have none of that. We were not prepared for the "experience" to take north of 2 1/2 hours for dinner when we were the only table in there for most of our visit. Cheese fondue was ok, I'll take the ones we make at home over theirs. Salads were good. Selected the grill cooking option for the entrees not knowing that we would be dodging splattering hot grease the entire time. The grease landed in your ice water and made the glasses slippery to hold. Had lots of grease floating in my ice tea. Our friends had to move their 7 year old to another seat to protect him. The meat and seafood for the entrees were of high quality but really didn't enjoy them because I was working too hard to appreciate them. Chocolate fondue for dessert was probably the best part of the meal with a great selection of things to dip in the chocolate. Through in some wine at $16 per glass and the meal ended up being on the pricey side. We had a table for 6 so a 20% gratuity was automatically added to the bill that we split into two checks. When I went to sign the credit card reader I asked if the gratuity was already included and Luis said yes. However, I did not notice that on the top of the card reader a default tip was checked as well. So I signed without realizing I justed tipped on top of everything else. When I realized this later, steam was coming out of my ears. I feel Luis deceived me for his own enrichment. Never coming back.

Yelp
Absolutely yes to this place! The experience is a whole different level of food and fun! Fondu heaven is what I call it! Worth the money. The staff are very friendly courteous and great.

Yelp
We had such a fun time here and we're so glad we came. It's different. Slightly expensive. But it was a fun adventure with our sweet server Jennifer guiding us and helping us noobs make our selections. If you like cheese and chocolate, go drop a dime here! Make sure you have chocolate fondue for dessert too. We saw lots of people walk in and leave without eating because it's a bit pricey, $20 each plus. And it's shared food. Go with people you don't mind dipping with. (Swappin spit & stuff) We'll go back for sure.
google avatar

Yelp
I love coming here. We got the meal for for two. My friend had never been here but wanted to try it out. Wasn't to packed for the time of day and the service was quick. Our server was very knowledgeable and amazing.

Yelp
Wonderful service and food. Highly recommend! Cheese and chocolate make everything better! Perfect treat for Mother's Day weekend

Yelp
This was a great dinner,Me and my boyfriend went on a date and Alex and exon were both our servers, they were perfect, peak customer service, actually made conversation with us instead of just bare minimum service, Food was amazing and the table was beautiful we won't be going back unless Alex or Exon is our servers :)

Dink W.

Yelp
Terrible me and my family were here for 5 HOURS and 4 hours of this was waiting for the food the food was unseasoned and for how long we waited it didn't meet my expectations, the dessert was alright but nothing special. The food was also very overpriced. Overall don't come here unless yo ur rich af

Yelp
Half way into our course, I had to jump on here and talk about the amazing experience we are having so far. Not only is the service great, everything we've had is absolutely delicious. As a cheese lover, I have finally found a home. I usually like to take a photo of my food before I start, but it's food like this that is so mouth watering that I forget everything I knew except fine dining and breathing. Anyway, I'm sitting here ready for dessert as I continue my review. The black berry sage and strawberry basil lemonade is literally DRUGS.. (not literally drugs, but I'd give up drugs for these..) (not that I do drugs, but if I did...you know what I mean) The price- fondue experience for 2 for 100$ is absolutely worth it. It's an excellent date idea. The portions are perfect, not too big and not too small. Our server, Saleen, who was amazing--was apologetic for the time it took to deliver the next course, but it was actually perfect timing. I've been to other coursed meals and it seems that they usually try to shove all of them down your throat at once to get you out asap......but considering that each course here isn't too small, you need time to digest. So timing was of the essence. As for the main course... we got the coq au vin which was delicious and easy to use. The mushrooms taste incredible in this broth. We also got the frying oil/ with some yummy batter and breadcrumbs. If you decide to go for the frying option, PLEASE take a mini course on frying. Not everyone is born knowing how to properly fry something and most only learn from experience. Painful experience. The frying only went well with the potatoes/zucchini. not so much with everything else. Especially foods that required full cooking, which by the time your item is golden brown, or in my case, charcoal black, the food is undercooked. Luckily I like my meat medium rare. And of course, why would you want to fry everything? 5 out of the 6 sauces were delicious. I'm not sure which circle of hell the ginger plum sauce was created in, but it did not agree with my pallet. Now, dessert just arrived and even though I normally go for white chocolate, I was not a fan of this particular "white chocolate"... it wasn't like the Hershey's white chocolate, or the WHITE white chocolate you're used to seeing on pre made dipped strawberries. It had a color/ texture/ or viscosity of something you might decide weather to spit or swallow. Although this concoction did go very well with the strawberries, or any sour fruit, it didn't "Slap" (as youngins say) much with the already too sweet desserts. Overall, it is incredible how much dessert you actually get. It was awesome. Next time I'll be going for the milk chocolate. Ultimately, We had a wonderful experience which wouldn't have been possible only with the delicious food, but the cherry on top was the exceptional service provided by SALEEN thank you! 10/10 would recommend This wasn't just dinner. This was a whole experience. We were there from 745-10:45 pm. Ps. A guy just dropped everything he was doing to open the door for us when we left. Good job everyone!
google avatar

Ralfie V.

Yelp
This place was nice and a great spot to go with the family and kids, it's kinda pricey but I'd say worth the experience
google avatar

Claudia M.

Yelp
I've been to several melting pots in Florida, and to this one twice; for whatever reason the experience has been very different. I don't recall the Florida ones being as expensive, so I don't know if it's a change in the franchise or if it's exclusive to El Paso, but jeesee creesy it's expensive! Our first experience here was a bit racist? Sexist? Not sure, but we had a reservation and were made to wait while a hetero, white couple that got there 5 minutes after us, no reservation, was sat ahead of us while the staff proceeded to ignore us for close to 10 minutes. Had to get a manager involved. It was disappointing to say the least, to then also have an expensive, sub-par meal. The second time service and intersections were way better. Our server was Sabrina and she was attentive, sweet, and engaging. The meal itself was meh, the drinks were great. So bottom line, don't do the expensive course meals, stick to the cheese fondues and maybe one shared meal fondu. The cheese is where it's at! The cute "happy anniversary" board was also a nice touch. So they certainly try, hopefully if you go you end up with a 5 star experience.

Heyzee S.

Yelp
1st time ever eating here with my wife. Tonight happen to be our 20yrs wedding anniversary by way of church. Being first timers, we were graciously and cordially treated with care and taught and explained about the nuances on how fondue is done and with eloquence. My wife and I really do appreciate the service and the food. Unfortunately because of the excitement of something new, I didn't bother to take pics like we usually do.
google avatar

Jennifer C.

Yelp
Wow... I was highly impressed! We got sat by a gracious hostess and were soon greeted by our waitress. She was so helpful navigating the menu. I ordered the BEE tea and you must get it!!!! It's absolutely delicious- a must try. My son and I ordered the fast fondue and I got the California salad which came with it and subbed the raspberry vinegar dressing for ranch and got mozzarella instead of Gorgonzola- that salad was epic!! We ordered the Wisconsin cheese and another one that had sun dried tomatoes/basil(can't recall the name) and they were heavenly!!! I rated this 4 stars because the protein that came with the meal wasn't all that great- it was flavorless and the filet mignon was a bit chewy. Dipped in the cheese it was better but without it it was a bit tasteless. Overall the visit was wonderful and I would recommend this place time and time again.
google avatar

Yuliana B.

Yelp
My husband brought me here for my birthday & it was quite the experience. The environment was very nice & casual, yet fancy. Our server Erik explained how the 4 course option goes & recommended methods of prep that turned out absolutely astounding! Dessert was delicious, so much so that I witnessed my husband do a little happy dance while eating FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER. We've been together for 4 years & I have never seen him do the little dance. He even admitted he has never done it & also did not notice that he did it LOL We are coming back for his birthday in May!
google avatar

Genesis H.

Yelp
Came here by myself after walking around the fountains for some drinks, I got a coconut mule and honestly was so good i'll be coming back to have another! I ended up getting sides to be honest and everything was great! It's def a place to come accompanied though.
google avatar

Marzza C.

Yelp
This place was a very nice experience however, after spending over$138.00 for 2 people we left hungry! It's nice for a first date impression -the entire atmosphere was very attractive and pleasing along with the food presentation, protein portions were way to small for the average person and for the money you paid! Good Luck! Customer service was excellent, over priced for what you get as a meal!
google avatar

Sarah C.

Yelp
Rating one star due to the length of time it took to place an order, to get food and drinks. The waitress was friendly, the place was nicely decorated but after two hours and no food, we canceled our food order and left. I cannot attest to the food because it never came. This occurred during the weekend brunch time frame.

Yelp
One vegan and one gluten free eater left very disappointed . The veggies are way too big to remotely cook . We spent about 3 hours and 25 mins here just wasting time our server was sweet but we maybe saw her for a max total of 15 mins in 3 hours . I am the vegan and was fairly excited to try the vegan meatballs and vegan pot stickers , once the leader came out they said they changed their menu and that wasent even an option , only option was veggies . Which would be fine but they were too thick to cook . And there's no way to separate a vegan meal from a meat meal . The meat eater was also gluten free and it seemed there was only bland as an option as the sauces are not gluten free . All in all we won't be back . Wish I could say different

Jorge F.

Yelp
Took my daughters and their friend to check it out. We were greeted by a friendly hostess and seated. Waitress came and gave us a run down of the menu which is a little overwhelming your 1st time. We did 2 cheese flavors which were good but food to dip needs better options and the bread should be toasted. The second round was cooling and meats / vegetables which was the best part of the meal. Steak, chicken, shrimp/ yum Lastly desert and that was great also. Marshmallow, cookies, etc We had a good time but I think a little pricey. $200 for 4 of us not the worst.
google avatar

Karla V.

Yelp
This is a great and unique chain to visit I have visited different locations around the country and they never fall short to my expectations. This branch is different due to its decor which brings a fresh and trendy feeling to the restaurant. If you have never I highly recommend for a date, girls night out or bring your parents for lunch. Their fondu menu is essentially the same from years ago hut it never gets old. Their chain high standards surpass any other. Their moscow mules are exceptional.
google avatar

Julia C.

Yelp
Outstanding service! We love the atmosphere. Drinks are on point and desserts are amazingly delicious. Bar service was excellent!
google avatar

Mike G.

Yelp
First time I have ever been there, it was great, our server Jenifer is most excellent, what an asset she is to this restaurant, if I had a restaurant, I would hire her to run and train people in customer service, we will be back and I hope Jenifer will be working that night. Ian & Ashley, Texas USA
google avatar

Gwen L.

Yelp
Came her for my daughter's birthday. She loves eating here but me on the other hand was not overly impressed. Menu states that the steak is a filet but far from it. The steak was a poor cut and very tough, not only to cut but to chew. Personally, I feel this establishment is way over priced just to have a fondue experience.
google avatar

Robert S.

Yelp
My wife and I wanted to try this we went in to get a table the place was dead, Literally only one table was occupied. When we first got in the hostess ask us a serious of questions such as: email, phone #, special occasion, etc it felt like an interrogation. We where them seated and given menus, 6-7 min later the waitress came back to tell us see would be back to get our drink order momentarily, again the place is dead. Another 5ish minutes went by waiting when we just got up and left, Terrible service.

Sergio Z.

Yelp
We went in during lunch, Valentine's Day. We ordered our drinks and appetizers as soon as we were seated. Almost an hour later, our food arrived but no appetizers. My ribs were OK, a bit on the dry side. We asked for extra sauces and they took almost 10 minutes to arrive. They were not understaffed but that was the excuse they gave us.
google avatar

Leslie M.

Yelp
I gave a gift certificate for my daughter's birthday luncheon. They were delighted with the fondue, the atmosphere and all the selections. Afterwards, I bought The Melting Pot fondue cookbook for her and a fondue chafing dish because they want to live the fondue life now.

Yelp
Can't wait to come back with my love. Tried some desserts and it was great, you can still keep it healthy with all the fresh choices. Very elegant as well.

Yelp
My fiancé and I ordered the meal for two. This is our first time here. Overall the experience was great. First course - Cheese Fondue/Salad 10/10 We ordered the Alpine fondue and it was delicious. All of the vegetables were very fresh and crisp. The apples mixed with the cheese were to die for. I'm not sure what the other cheeses are like but we highly recommend this one. Second course - The Classic and Garden Pot 6/10 The classic was pretty good but the garden pot was nothing special unfortunately. We were not super impressed with the vegetable choices that were offered. It could have been the broth pot, but it just didn't live up to expectations. Third course - Flaming Turtle Fondue 9/10 Very delicious. Loved this fondue choice. Service - 7/10 - Unfortunately there was another table that our server had that kept him pretty busy. We waited an extra 20ish minutes for our main entree. It was unfortunate for us but we understand how people can be. The server was apologetic and offered us a free protein which we were happy to accept. Update: it was about 20 minutes in between each course after we actually finished. Not the best not the worst.
google avatar

Trevor D.

Yelp
As a vegetarian I can not recommend this place. The options are very sling and the fruits and vegetables available leave room to be desired... anyhow there are much better options for vegetarians in elp
google avatar

John S.

Yelp
Melting pot is a fun experience. It's not the place you go for a gourmet meal, it's the place you go to drink, talk, eat, and have fun. So much deep fried stuff followed by tons of sweets and alcohol. Good times, but not the best place for steak and shrimp in the traditional way. Go as a large group with people you are close to. Sharing plates of raw is not the most Covid friendly way, so bring family or close friends. That is always a good show.

Yelp
Went in for the first time last night with my mother and brother to celebrate my birthday. We were helped by Michelle and let me tell you, Michelle is extremely knowledgeable, kind and attractive. She translated everything for my mother so beautifully she made our experience sooo much better! All the food was absolutely delicious,so many yummy flavors!

Yelp
Invited by friends out of town. Reservation at 6:45pm. The order has not arrived. They close in 12 minutes, it's 8:50pm. I wish I was making this up.

Yelp
Everything was amazing!!! Our waiter, Alexander was awesome! Had a wonderful birthday dessert and with wonderful company!

Yelp
Sooo. Now that my total food coma bliss is over I feel it's important to share some things. We went in for a late lunch early dinner. Our server was Luz. She was nothing short of STELLAR! She explained each course and each option. She was on point. Checked in without being overbearing. Just one of those servers you always want and will always remember. Ask for her. You'll be glad you did. A few other things ... some of these reviews are unrealistic. And that said : 1. This is not a fast food restaurant. It takes time. It's an EXPERIENCE! El Paso people need to understand that. 2. Some of the reviews are from the first weeks open. Remember that. This is totally new to this area with no corporate or other locations to model after. 3. The food is delicious. We had the four course and even added lobster. Worth every cent. 4. The negative comments on price and food - don't listen. We shared our four course and left full and satisfied. Please remember a lot of those negative comments are from the opening days and the review writers have not posted any positive anywhere. The Manager checked in with us and was genuine. Kind. And really cared about our experience both with the service and flavors. We will be back. And Luz is our go to girl. Give it a shot people ... remember most want to angry post and don't take the time to praise. Also. There are OTHER reviews that Yelp doesn't consider part of the star rating. And they are good reviews. I suggest reading them.
