Memento Mori Glass

My loyal dog always wanted to stay close to her people, so when her life came to an end, I wanted to keep some of her close to me. Memento Mori was the perfect way to do that. Not only did I receive a beautiful glass piece incorporating the cremains, but the process of designing the memorial art was also meaningful. Danelle took the time to sit down and talk with me about my dog - her personality, specific memories, and everything that made her special. (There were definitely multiple tissues required.) This type of conversation is something that people rarely get after they lose a pet - how often does someone think to ask questions like that about a dog? As we talked, Danelle shared several sample pieces, pointing out different features and options. While we talked about colors and shapes, she gave some guidance and suggestions, but let me make the final choices. The result is a unique piece of memorial art that is lovely to display and inspires memories of and gratitude for my years with a dearly loved pet. I can’t think of a better way to remember a very good girl, and I expect I’ll always keep this piece of art somewhere visible.

What an amazing experience! Danelle created a gorgeous piece with the ashes from our 19-year-old cat that we all adored and miss terribly. This a VERY special and beautiful way to immortalize a loved one. Thanks Danelle!

I had a great experience working with Danelle at Momento Mori Glass. I got in touch with her just prior to Christmas about a gift for my husband. She was very gracious about working under a tight deadline and put a lot of thought and positive energy into the piece. It turned out beautifully and I actually started crying when I saw it. My husband was blown away and will always hold the piece dear. I couldn't be more pleased with my entire experience. I would highly recommend Danelle to anyone seeking a handblown glass memorial.

Danielle created beautiful pieces of my father's ashes. She listened to me about his life details and interpreted his love for Ansel Adams Nature black and white photography in amazing glasswork. He was an original thinker and maker and her art heals my heart loss while providing a tangible piece to keep near. It was a tender and cathartic experience and would recommend her work to those thinking of memorializing their loved ones in a personal and unique way.
