My loyal dog always wanted to stay close to her people, so when her life came to an end, I wanted to keep some of her close to me. Memento Mori was the perfect way to do that. Not only did I receive a beautiful glass piece incorporating the cremains, but the process of designing the memorial art was also meaningful.
Danelle took the time to sit down and talk with me about my dog - her personality, specific memories, and everything that made her special. (There were definitely multiple tissues required.) This type of conversation is something that people rarely get after they lose a pet - how often does someone think to ask questions like that about a dog?
As we talked, Danelle shared several sample pieces, pointing out different features and options. While we talked about colors and shapes, she gave some guidance and suggestions, but let me make the final choices.
The result is a unique piece of memorial art that is lovely to display and inspires memories of and gratitude for my years with a dearly loved pet. I can’t think of a better way to remember a very good girl, and I expect I’ll always keep this piece of art somewhere visible.
