The food and service were great! Lots of good gluten free options. David was also a life saver when my daughter left her AirPods there. We were already at the airport on our way home to Pennsylvania when we realized. I called and he generously offered to mail them to us! She was so relieved to get them back! Thank you again, David!

I'm so glad Meme's is part of this neighborhood! I take my guests here when we want a healthy meal made with love. The tuna fish sandwich is SO GOOD - i do wish it came with a little side of chips or something though. The salads are huge, fresh, perfectly seasoned and DELICIOUS. As a treat, my friend and I ordered a banana Nutella crepe - we gobbled it up first! It was the star of the meal - it was light, perfectly executed and wholesome. I can't wait to try more items on their "affirmations" menu. The prices are reasonable for the quality. The space is warm and inviting with wood details, but the smoothie machine is so loud that I wished no one would ever order a smoothie ever again.

This is actually one of my favorite neighborhood spots. I love the burger. Breakfast foods are drink. You can get a good latte or a Green juice. The menu is diverse enough that you would find something to suit whatever you are in the mood for- breakfast, lunch or maybe early dinner. The staff are friendly. The wait for food may take a little bit. Update: Still a neighborhood gem!! Support it!

First time here for my friend's birthday brunch! Loved the vegan options - I got the vegan tofu scramble with an extra side of smokey tempeh. So hearty it was a meal and a snack for me! They had lots of other yummy sounding options - if I'm ever back in the area I would return!

Had a wonderful breakfast here! The chicken mushroom spinach crepe was delicious and flavorful! The chicken was a little dry, but overall, delicious.

The gluten-free pancakes here taste better than normal pancakes!! That says a lot, because good gluten-free pancakes are hard to find. 5/5 great food!

I go to Meme's whenever I'm in the area. This is good, healthy food that actually has flavor; you can tell that a lot of thought and care went into making each menu decision. I've never had a negative experience at Meme's.

Stopped here for a bite after walking prospect park with a friend. Both of our meals were fresh and delicious. Great atmosphere and friendly staff!

I've had three indulgent old-school brunches delivered so far, the kind that you give up on as a GF vegetarian. The Bacon, Egg and Cheese Sandwich is amazing! No compromise, no pro-rating. Just an incredible BEC on excellent GF bread. I've also had the GF pancake platter: same deal! This is just great comfort food for a cold weekend morning.

The chicken tasted a little burnt and the waffle had no flavor! The service was nice! We were the 4/13/24

I love this place! I had the salmon burger and it's always good. I've also had some of the chicken wraps and they're good also. I'm usually taking my food to go for lunch so I haven't dined in although they do have space for that as well. The owner is lovely and the homemade juices are excellent!

The prices on the menu are not updated and for some items not even listed. Also the wording on the menu I was given is off. It says burger with side but the burger doesn't come with a side. Instead of having burger with side it should be separate burgers and then in its own category sides. Makes it confusing during ordering because there's no way to tell if the cashier is just marking up the costs. I dined in. They checked for my vaccination card. Only one other person was dining in but they had other customers ordering to go and picking up. I ordered at the register and they brought my meal to the table. It was freezing but I couldn't resist the smoothie options. I loved the fruit combination. The burger was filling.

The overall service we experienced was just okay, and the food was fine - it's good for a quick bite if you need something fast! But because their entire promise is "healthy, wholesome food" we expected the smoothies and juices to be super fresh. Until we watched someone dump a can of sliced pineapples in the blender with coconut milk and hand us our $9 smoothie. Yikes. Overall, I wanted to give this place 4 stars but the quality wasn't high and the service wasn't great so that's why we gave it 3 stars :/

I was in the area to pick up something and stumbled across this cute spot. When I found out that it was owned by a Black women, I decided to try it out. After a quick perusal of the menu, I ordered a Nutella Banana crepe which was filled with a generous amount of Nutella and fresh banana. The texture of the crepe itself was perfect. I was completely satisfied with my order and devoured it! I would definitely come back here even though I deducted a star because of the super limited menu options.p

We did not have a good experience unfortunately. First there was so much liquid seeping out that the bag burst while walking to a park to eat it. Which was frustrating. The bread on both burgers was super dry and the beef tasted low quality. We also got the chipotle mayo but could not taste it. Fries were ok. Sweet potato fries were on point! Their smoothies looked great but sadly did not get one so cannot review.

This place is the real deal for fresh juice! The Nutella sandwich was the bomb and I would definitely order from Meme's again! I'm not sure about all the negative reviews but if your worried about quality I wouldn't worry about a thing!

I just adore this local health eaterie. It's delicious and nutritious. Their fresh and cooked foods are only made better by a warm and friendly staff and a welcoming and relaxing vibe.

Went recently and was told they no longer have hummus for burgers. Please bring that back, this is one of the things that set you apart from other places.

This is a really great place to stop by for some food if you're going to the Brooklyn children's museum or in the neighborhood. We got an egg spinach sandwich, mushroom/spinach/tomato crepe and smoothies (antioxidant and Ms. Debbie's). Food was clean and delicious. The egg sandwich did get a little soggy from the heat but the kids ate it anyways. The kids loved the antioxidant smoothie. Staff friendly and helpful. Would be back!

Black owned establishment and my first stop in Brooklyn! They have a really health conscious menu, featuring: smoothies, salads, burgers and even vegan ice cream. I had the chicken salad which featured mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, grilled chicken, avocado, beets and cucumbers. It was very filling but I also had fries and the chocolate chip cookie dough in a cone! Don't judge me, I was really hungry but it was all really good. Isaiah at the counter was cute and helpful. A New York native, he let me try the ice cream before I had it and even encouraged me to get a bowl instead of a cone but I'm a cone head! Lol. I loved the music selections and the ambiance was very much "your gma porch" Definitely check this spot out!

Super friendly service and absolutely delicious green juice! Cute interior, vegan + organic + gluten-free crepes and a pretty massive menu. If I move up here I'll be back for sure!

Very mediocre experience for lunch yesterday. Ordered an avo toast and an egg sandwich. Food took about 15m+ to come out and the avo toast was just pieced up avocado on toasted sliced wheet, not salt/pepper/evoo/nicer bread, it was blend. The egg sandwich was dry with burnt sausage. The table near us ordered crepes that looked much more filling and appetizing. Maybe next time we'll stick to the house specialty. In the meantime, we left unsatisfied.

I walked here and saw the sand which sign and thought " yea it's open and look like old New York" Isiah welcomes me with a huge genuine smile and made my coffee as he made sugggestions. I Got the buttermilk waffle and bananas and the Nordic sandwich. I sat by the window and watched the place fill up 1/2 way and so many regulars ! My food was great and the butter was SOFT I am so loving a great place that just happened to be on my path.

Meme's is a really solid neighborhood choice. I've dropped in for a snack (the Pineapple Ginger Juice and Banana Nut bread--both great), a weekday lunch (Grilled Chicken Wrap & Roasted Veggies are both great. Fries are just ok), or even a weekend brunch (Pancakes are A1) and always enjoy my food. The food is made to order so I don't usually come if I'm in a hurry, but it's ALWAYS worth the wait. The staff is pleasant. I can tell that my food is made with love. I wish I still lived nearby so I could order more often. #outtoeatwithJB

Meme's is truly disappointing. I've ordered from here multiple times and they're just too inconsistent for my life. However, this morning completely changed my mind about them.. ------ I ordered a tofu scramble and it was basically all onions. Barely any tofu or mushrooms. No vegan cheese as advertised. Potatoes were super bland. ----- I've tried a few items from them before - tofu scramble, egg burrito [don't order this], nicoise salad [overpriced], angus burger [super dry]. The salads are overpriced for what you received. You could literally make the salad yourself for less than half of what they charge [for a small]... but it's convenient. ---- Why I won't support Meme's anymore - I placed an order for pick up of the sunrise tofu scramble and a salad nicoise. Get there and the owner [i'm assuming], looks at the seamless printout, puts the tofu scramble in a bag, hastily hands it to me and then walks away. I'm like how did she look at the order and still not place the salad [which is right next to the tofu], into the bag? When i said excuse me, she looked at me like "what do you want bxtch", as if i did something wrong lmao. I said I ordered a salad as well.. the negative attitude was all over her face and just plain IDIOCY. Don't act like you're doing me a favor or try to make me feel like i'm doing something wrong because your negligent demeanor resulted in a mistake. --- I was happy that there was a healthy food place nearby to my job, but the owners nasty attitude and negligence completely turned me off and I won't patronize nor will i recommend this establishment again.

FIRST AND LAST ORDER! Today was my birthday and I ordered delivery from this restaurant to have a nice meal while at work. Order never showed. When I called to speak with someone they brushed me off and said it's not their issue if they delivered to an incorrect address. Not only did I not have lunch on my BIRTHDAY! but I wasn't reimbursed for the meal I never received and the customer service was absolutely horrid! They are literally referring me to my bank for to dispute the charge?! I will never order from here again nor do I recommend anyone else. The least they could have done was offered another delivery or some sort of compensation. If the restaurant isn't held accountable for their errors they shouldn't be in business. This was the worst customer service and management!

All pros for this vegan friendly niche in Bedstuy. It's a very casual atmosphere, when you walk in you grab a menu and seat your self. Vast variety of food from classic breakfast items to fresh wraps and vegan ice cream! When you're ready you go to the counter and order. I had the best salmon burger and it was absolutely that. Check it out for a solo trip to journal over good food or with a friend to catch up on the weekend.

Gotta do better. You forget an entire protein to a meal that isn't cheap to begin with. Ruined lunch. Annoyed.

This is my local go to - it's affordable, close, fresh, and tasty. I almost always get a turkey burger, fries, and a dairy free milkshake (so good!). Their delivery is almost always quicker than estimated and they're also easy to pick up from. I love that their menu choices are named positively (I am awesome, I am magnificent, etc.) - it adds a little more charm to this favorite of mine!

I love Mimi's for healthy breakfast/lunch options, especially when guest are in town and I don't want to cook. It taste delicious, fresh and clean. Perfect when your working hard to cut the winter weight ;-) Thanks for no dressing on my mixed greens. I didn't miss it at all!

I stopped here really quick because I had a sweet tooth. My dietary restrictions make satisfying it a challenge on most days but OMG!!! They had vegan, gluten free options. I got the raspberry hazelnut bar, brought it home and heated it up to have with my tea and I am in healthy dessert heaven. Lord, I wish I had taken a pic of it.

Lots of vegan options! I Am Grateful (quinoa and kale salad wrap) was so flavorful. The dried cranberries was a nice touch. For those sweet tooths, try their vegan desserts! It is a bit pricey though; $9+ for the wrap and $4 each for a cupcake. Minus 1 star. Still glad this place is in the neighborhood. Will be coming back.

This is the 3rd time I've ordered from here, and my order was extremely late every time. I ordered a simple smoothie, and a wrap- they packaged the smoothie with the warm wrap in the same brown bag. This caused the wrap to get cold. I gave my son a sip of the smoothie, and he recoiled then cried. When I took a sip all I tasted was bitter green sludge- this more than likely means they used kale that was not for smoothies. I'm sorry I spent 10 dollars on something I would've made myself, and wouldn't of traumatized my 1 year old.

On our last day in NYC we wanted to explore another vibrant Nostrand Ave. breakfast place but the rain finally caught up to us. We chose Meme's off my daughter's food delivery app and ate in. The delivery was prompt and the order was accurate. So...food review only. The angus burger (called the "I Am Great") was true to its name, very juicy and flavorful. My eggs Benedict was good but not exceptional. The waffles of the chicken n' waffles were ok, but I thought that the chicken was like commercially manufactured patties. I wouldn't recommend it. We all enjoyed our smoothies. All the flavors were very fresh and delicious. Weather will be better on my next visit hopefully so that I can stroll over and give Meme's another chance in person.

Great menu. It's on the pricey side but worth it. I only wish they were open longer. Their hours of operation here on Yelp are incorrect - they close at 4pm every day. I would eat here much more often if they were open later in the day when I'm finished with work.

Love this place and the people who work there but sometimes they really half ass it. Paid $4 for 20 French fries. No joke. Come oooooonnnnnnn.

My roommate and I went on Friday night for salads. VERY HAPPY to live so close to a great place like this. I love that the food is high quality and organic. That being said, you get what you pay for. I got one of the salads, size large, and added chicken to it and it was just under $20. Now, this was more than one meal for me and totally worth it because the ingredients of this salad would have easily cost me over $20 at the grocery, but expensive. Excited to try again soon! Great food. Lots of vegan options. I had a falafel burger which was great. The sauce was phenomenal. The staff was very friendly. Next time I am in Crown Heights I will definitely be back. They had wraps, burgers, ice cream, fries. Tons of options.

The western omelette w/ toast & home fries was OK, and the Eggs Benedict for $8.50 + tax was alright too. Tasteless food that one could make at home. Sorry to be harsh but this is a $10/dish vegan and vegetarian place with a good menu and I would normally expect a higher quality of preparation. We tried a wrap and a salad and a smoothie. All of them felt poorly done and lacked taste. It's not bad. It's just bland and boring. Sorry. Don't recommend.

Great option for breakfast. I ordered a breakfast burrito and it wasn't stellar but above-average. The jalapenos add a little kick and it was well-constructed. It has a nice homey feel and I plan on coming here in the future.

Tried this place this morning for a quick breakfast and was not disappointed. I had the vegan blt (tempeh) with spicy vegan mayo...deliciousness. I also had a chai tea latte which was ok but I prefer Tinto's version better and it's only s couple doors down. The chai I got at memes is a good organic brand (tazo) but I believe they make there chai tea bags at Tinto's and they do not use syrups...I had mine with almond milk and it was good. I will definitely come back to meme's for a quick breakfast or lunch. Great healthy options and very nice staff!

Ordered two eggs sunny side up, home fries and a coffee. Coffee tasted nasty Homefries were dry and tasteless Eggs were dry as if they were microwaved Server didn't ask if you needed anything else (glad he didn't)

This place is a true neighborhood gem. You walk in and you immediately see signs reminding you to live life with an outlook of gratitude and humor--for me this always helps me have a better outlook on my day and feel more positive, which is much appreciated. The smoothies and juices are delicious, as are the vegan cookies! I really like the BLT wrap. And it's a great place to read, work, or meet up with a friend. Also, vegan ice cream! As a previous reviewer said, the food here gets the job done, and does a good job doing that! Yes, they use commercially manufactured veggie burgers and other products, and yes, they prepare it well. In my mind, this is much like the diners I went to in NJ as a kid-- I can choose from a wide variety of comfort foods and sit at their comfy tables for extended periods catching up with friends. Score! Being that I'm restricted to a gluten-free vegetarian diet, it's really tough to find restaurants who can accommodate me, are aware of allergies and cross contamination, and additionally offer a variety of options. At Memes, I have choices and staff willingly answers my ingredient questions! Vegan ice cream, gluten free bread and rolls, several veggie burgers, egg dishes, sandwiches and salads to choose from. And breakfast! I haven't tried it yet, but hope to soon. Some reviewers mentioned "dank" setting but I don't agree. The seating area feels like a cozy escape from the busy foot traffic and noise on Nostrand ave. There are a variety of lush plants in the window and condiments galore. Reminds me of the hippy veggie restaurants that used to exist in NYC in the 90's, before high end minimalist dining took over. Also note, the staff has been super sweet and accommodating. I really appreciate that they serve their "to stay" dishes on washable plates, as I try to be conscious about waste and eating out can really put a dent in the environment. One tip-- they could omit the plastic salad container for "stay" salads and switch to paper or biodegradable containers for take out. It's important! Thanks Memes!

Meme's is a very cute little restaurant with plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. The staff is very friendly friendly and the atmosphere is very open and delightful. Their menu offers a variety of options, aside from breakfast and lunch, including smoothies and vegan pastries and ice cream. I will definitely be returning to try more!

I'm always looking for places that use organic products. This place is everything I need to eat clean. They have turkey bacon, turkey sausage, vegan bacon options for breakfast. I had multigrain pancakes topped with bananas and strawberries with turkey sausage (patty) and two eggs fried. I also was able to drink coffee with my breakfast which is often hard from other restaurants because I'm Lactose intolerant. They offer almond milk and various Raw Sugars. Vegan Ice cream also available. I will be coming back soon. On my second trip here I had a Vegan Cookies & Creme Banana Milkshake it quite delicious.

I love this place, I bring a lot of ppl here to share with me the food and beverages experience I have coming here. Their organic food and drinks are so refreshing. I like the creative names for the smoothies I.e. cleansing tonic, beach body juice. Their knockout flu & cold fighter tea is the real deal. My favorite meals are the chicken and waffles when I want sweet & savory at the same time. And the burger w/ the chipotle mayo. There's so many ways to get creative with your food orders & they offer rewards that comes in handy.

Stumbled across this place today in search of a coffee after Lula bagels line was literally by the door. The first thing I noticed always the menu was overwhelming. They literally have any and everything you could want with a wide range of breakfast, lunch and dinner options. I usually don't indulge in places with such a variety of food options because I feel it's almost impossible to make them all as delicious as they should be. I decided to order a breakfast sandwich ( sausage egg and cheddar on multigrain) and a latte. The cashier and barista were super friendly. I ordered and my food was ready in a few short minutes but somehow they forgot my latte. No biggie, the young lady behind the counter made it in a flash. I do enjoy all the options here. You can customize just about everything. Different bread types, meats or meatless, a variety of milks and substitutes, That's nice.... But I hate to say it..... The food looks better then it actually taste. Don't get me wrong it is not terrible by far but the flavor components were just ok. If I'm spending over $10 for a quick breakfast ( sandwich $6 small latte $4) I expect it taste pretty good. I was underwhelmed with the sandwich but my latte was delicious. The portions here are a plus, the sandwich I ordered was completely full and I ended up sharing half with my friend. Since I frequent the area I will most definitely be back to give something else a try. I'm still routing for this place.

Oh man, after so many trips to DD and in dire need of real coffee. Meme's Healthy Bites cafe comes to the rescue with their Brooklyn Roasting Company coffee. This cafe is so refreshing to see in this neighborhood. Dropped in for a coffee and ended up having one of their delicious Nori rolls stuffed with zucchini, carrots, quinoa and all kinds of healthy fiber one desperately need while traveling.

My partner is celiac so when I picked up my order, I needed to make sure they packed his main completely separate from the side dish as I clearly noted when I placed my order. The woman behind the counter scolded me for needing to check and said "everything is separate!!!" I opened the bag to find that his order was NOT separate and that I was missing an orange juice. I let her know and she was incredibly rude and annoyed that I needed her to fix their own mistake. She slammed my bag down with the food inside. The strawberries I paid extra for were spoiled. The pancakes were dry. It was truly an unpleasant experience. I'm very disappointed.

I was looking for a tofu scramble and here I found a delicious one! We also had the Knock Out drink, which really did knock us out! It was very intense so we asked for some hot water to dilute it to quench the fire. Don't get me wrong I liked it, but next time I would split it with someone and dilute it with hot water. It would be great if you were feeling under the weather to drink this drink. They had many great looking juices on the menu that I would try if I went back.
