I'm so disappointed ☹️ I have not had a chance to go in quite some time and looked so forward to it. The sugar cookies used to taste as good as they looked. All 7 cookies were stale and dried out. Now they are like the ones you buy at checkout Ross. Pretty but not good at all.

Came in for a cake tasting and we were greeted with friendly staff and tasting experience. Probably one of the best I had. The only issue we had was when we tried to book them a week and half later after trying out different places our date was already booked and they could no longer support us. All I can say is that if you're wedding cake shopping make sure you reserve your date if you really like the tasting because they book fast!

My husband and I got our wedding cake from here last year ❤️ the cake was so delicious (everyone still talks about it!!!) that we decided to come back a year later and get our anniversary cake!!! Best in town 😊❤️🍰

One of my absolute favorite bakeries in Houston to visit. I always get a pound cake if they are available. I have gotten the blueberry, original and banana nut pound cakes and they are very moist and delicious. I have gotten them for work and everyone at work loves them. I love getting their petit fours vanilla and chocolate, both are my favorites to get when I visit. I have also gotten cupcakes in a variety of flavors, I have not regretted it. I have also bought a variety of cookies for friends as gifts and they have loved them each time, the astros cookies made wonderful gifts. The savory food they have here are just as yummy as their desserts. I don't think there is anything that i wouldn't try here and I wouldn't like.

They made a cake for my daughters 18th birthday. I gave them a photo and told them what I wanted. The cake was beautiful, it looked exactly how I wanted but most important, the cake was amazing. It was vanilla with raspberry filling. The cake was moist and delicious. I will definitely use them for any of my dessert needs in the future!

Delightful & delicious! Not only is this one of the cutest cakes we’ve ever had but it was one of the tastiest (strawberry)! What a fun wonderful cake to celebrate such a fun and wonderful occasion.

Our district LCISD used this bakery for the first time on 4.26.24. We ordered a variety of cupcakes for our Annual Employee Award Banquet, and they were a HUGE hit. Nonetheless, we will be back next year.

I ran in right before it closed. It's my first time here but I have always seen it and someone bought me a cookie from here. The cookie was so good and not too sweet so when I was in the area, I had to try more. The lady behind the counter helped other patrons and then came to help me. She was patient with me because I couldn't decide. I ended up getting 4 cupcakes (berry, red velvet, Oreo, and she recommended the carrot cake.) I also got cookies (they had TMNT), and I got a piece of their pound cake. It's cute inside and there are tables to sit and eat at. I can't wait to go again and try more items!

A Great Bakery right next to Memorial High School for a bite to satisfy your sweet tooth. Memorial Bakery hits the spot. They have great Cookies and breakfast pastries. I personally recommend the seasonal PUMPKIN CHEESECAKE and Lemon Pound cake w/ cream cheese frosting. They have a great selection of Tapioca milk Tea and Green Tea. The Seasonal cakes should not be ignored. The King Cake, Yule Log, pumpkin pies, Fruit Cake, Ginger Bread House Kit (X-mas) , Chocolate Dipped Strawberries all are very popular. I celebrated a milestone birthday recently & this place was recommended for the birthday cake. Located in a busy shopping center right off of the freeway, there is ample parking. I ordered online & told them the specifics of what I was looking for: chocolate cake with raspberry filling & chocolate icing. I wanted minimal design for the borders & uploaded a pic for reference. Within 10 minutes I received a call to complete the order. Paid a deposit & advised when I would be picking up the cake. The day I picked up found the bakery busy with people enjoying a cup of coffee & insance looking cookies, patries & cakes. I did not have to wait long & they showed me the cake before I left. It looked exactly like I wanted it to. The cake was super moist & so freakin good w the raspberry going well with the chcocolate. Definitely will be using this place again!

Me and my girls come to this bakery often, and they love the sausage cheese kolaches. We also can't leave without grabbing them a nice decorated cookie. And the service is always good.

This is a great place to grab a fruit tart, sliced raisin bread, a sugar cookie, or a cupcake. They have mini kolaches, croissants, and a few other baked choices as well. There is boba coffee and fruit smoothies here too. It's a quick stop, grab, and go, for me. The price range is decent: cookies $2.00 or more each, cupcakes $3.00 or more for each, baked items $3-4 for each. Obviously, customers order cake here too. I asked if they would offer some taste tests on the counter like Starbucks (for some items I was not sure of), but I was told that the owner would not allow that. How would I know if I'd like to purchase something new if I don't get to try it? I ended up buying pastries from Starbucks, and advertised them, when the barista, Louise, was always friendly enough to grab a new pastry and cut it up into muffin cups for me to try. The atmosphere and environment is clean, and the girls are friendly and professional. They don't ignore customers; instead, they will come towards the counter to ask if you need any help. It's December, so before going to work, I stopped to grab some snacks today.

For my 29th birthday, my husband surprised me with the most beautiful cake I've ever seen. It was absolutely perfect, especially since I'm a huge UFC fan. I live and breathe MMA. But this isn't about UFC, this review is all about Memorial Bakery and how top notch they are. My family has used them for many special events and occasions. They are next level when it comes to custom designs and very realistically priced as well. My husband showed me the inspiration pick for this cake and somehow Memorial Bakery made it even better! It almost felt too pretty to eat. Now let's get to the actual cake... it was absolutely delicious. Vanilla with buttercream. They have plenty of options but I'm a vanilla kinda gal. You know a bakery is good when the have mastered the BASICS. And there was nothing BASIC about this cake. Thank you, Memorial Bakery for helping make my birthday so special. I appreciate you working with my husband to bring this vision to life. We will be back!

My review is a bit delayed. I came into the bakery around Halloween and tried cupcakes and cookies. The red velvet cupcake was good, however I actually preferred the vanilla one. Both were moist. The vanilla cookies were also good. If you like vanilla, this bakery knows how to do that flavor very well. The service was also excellent and friendly and their prices are reasonable compared to other bakeries around town. Also just an FYI- if you're looking for mini cupcakes, those are only available via a larger pre-arranged order and aren't readily available just walking in. I will be back to try more!!

WOW! This bakery is absolutely spectacular, we will order all of our cakes here from now on! Excellent Customer Service I found a cake picture on Pinterest and contacted Rachel to see if they could make it for our baby shower. Rachel responded promptly, answered all of our questions, and guided us to choose the right flavor/filling/type. Our baby shower was on Sunday and they don't normally do delivery on Sundays, but they went out of their way to help the-mom-to-be worry less and make our event as easy as possible. They delivered the cake on time on a Sunday morning, and helped me carry the cake to the 19th floor and set up the cake before the shower started. Stunning cake The cake is exactly what I was hoping for, from the colors, the fondant icing on top of the cake, the patterns on the icing, to the fondant cake topper, everything was just done to perfection! All of our guests were beyond impressed by the cake, it was definitely one of the highlights of our baby shower. The cake not only looks good, it tastes even better. The cake is moist and fluffy, sweetness level is just right, the vanilla creme filling was light and creamy, even the fondant icing tastes delicious. Thank you, Memorial Bakery, for making our baby shower perfect!!! We are beyond grateful!

This is the second cake I have ordered from this bakery. This cake was for my wedding. It was vanilla cake with lemon filling and the second layer with strawberry filling. The cake was moist, delicious and beautiful. The price, including delivery was fair and everyone said that the cake was delicious. I only wish there were leftover slices!

I've been here before for cookies but we ordered our kid's birthday cake from here and not only was it visually beautiful but it tasted AMAZING. The cake was moist and the frosting was fluffy! I was bummed that they didn't put the candy that we purchased to put on top but I understand not wanting to mess up the cake.

Not to be confused with the Mammarial Bakery, which is very... voluptuous in its bakery outputs. This is a totally cute little bakery right alongside the highway, and prices are pretty good here, which is one of the reasons I like it. Some of their products are good and some of them less good, but if you try a few different things and figure out what you like, you'll definitely find some great deals around here. They're friendly as well. I will give them 5 stars if I can find 2 or 3 things as addictive as, you know, cocaine or what not.

My togo place! I asked for a pink cake and it was delivered! I was the one that put the candle, toy, and cake topper. Non the less the cake was spot on for what I asked for.

Found this gem while looking for Ross! I am so glad I decided to stop in and get a slurpie!! The mango flavor is super addictive! The customer service was excellent and I'll be back for another slurpie soon!! They also use real fruit!!

I contacted Memorial Bakery through their online form and attached a pic and link to Pinterest with the cake I liked. They emailed me the next day with pricing and it was all remarkably easy! They made my cake EXACTLY like the one on Pinterest! It was beautiful! Everybody at our party said as much and everybody also loved eating it, as it was fantastic! We got a chocolate layered cake and 3 dozen vanilla cupcakes which also tasted amazing! I will definitely use this bakery for all future cake needs!

I desperately needed help with a beautiful design for a cake and Rachel helped me by creating a cake that exceeded my expectations! Not only do my orders look amazing, they taste wonderful! Memorial bakery has a variety of sweets to order from. Birthdays to baby showers. They went over and beyond! Highly recommend this bakery for your party needs or simply pop in for a sweet treat!

When I walked in, I found that the decor and shelves of pastries looked rather neat, with the items being seemingly perfect. But upon getting a Tiramisu, German Chocolate Cupcake, and Lemon Pound Cake, I was profoundly disappointed. Tiramisu should be a light dusting of chocolate on top of sweetened mascarpone cheese, with a base of ladyfingers dunked in coffee, with a faint hint of rum. What I got was a poorly flavored sponge cake. The German Chocolate Cupcake was practically just a dark chocolate cupcake with German chocolate frosting. And the Lemon Pound Cake tasted like it had lemon juice on the baking pan, instead of the food itself. I will not be coming back, and the only reason there is two stars is because at least the pastries looked nice. But to paraphrase Paul Hollywood, you should never put style before substance.

I placed an order for two cakes about 2 weeks out from needing it. I tried to confirm the order for a few days the week of the event. No one would answer the phone, they don't have a voicemail though they instruct you to leave a message, and no one replied to my email. I had to scramble to find new bakeries to make the cakes last minute. I will never use them again.

*If you're looking for custom cookies, do not waste your money at Memorial Bakery. We have used Memorial Bakery for several special occasions in our family and unfortunately they have disappointed us to where we don't want to order from them again. My sister placed a custom order for my 40th birthday party, sending pictures of cookies that Memorial Bakery said they could do with no problem. A couple weeks later and the day before my party, we receive a box of botched cookies, not presentable for a milestone party. The icing was messy, not dried before packaging and what's more disappointing is that when my family wanted an explanation on why the product was so terrible, the store employees said it wasn't their specialty anymore and they've had complaints before, but somehow thought it was okay to continue promising customers they could do it. Memorial Bakery is not proud of their products if they thought these cookies were suitable for such a special occasion, especially for the price they try to sell these for.

Where oh where do I start? We were recommended Memorial Bakery by my Mother In Law and decided to give it a try for our son's third birthday party. We emailed asking for a quote for the cake but the email went unanswered so we stopped by and boy am I glad that we did. We gave the guy working the counter a Pinterest picture and asked for them to recreate one of the tiers in their white chocolate cake flavor. Upon picking it up it looked amazing!!! It must have been good because our guest ate so much of it that my husband and I didn't even get a piece. Though the start was a bit rocky, the worker did apologize and even gave us 3 free cookies when we were booking. The end result totally overshadowed the beginning. Thank you Memorial Bakery, you made a 3 year old safari enthusiast extremely happy (as well as his dads)!

Stop by on my shopping, was surprised at the selection! They have sliced bread , pounds, cookies, and cupcakes to name a few items. I only choose to get a German chocolate cupcake today and it was great! Found myself a new bakery!!!

This is a long overdue review We had our wedding cake made with the San Francisco theme as per our request and the result is excellent! The cake itself is a vanilla cake with butter cream, fluffy and not too sweet, it's just perfect! Kept the top tier for a year and it still taste as great as on our wedding day. Thank you for perfecting our wedding reception! Recently, I ordered a black forest cake for my friend's birthday! Everyone loved it!

Best bakery in the Houston area. All the cakes and cookies taste fresh and homemade. Cupcakes on the other hand were dry. Overall I've ordered over 15 cakes and they were delicious. So in my opinion, 5 stars.

We needed a cake for a company party for an oilfield company. I emailed Memorial Bakery a picture of the cake we wanted and they did an excellent job. We ordered a red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting and everyone said it was delicious!

I stopped here for my cake tasting. I was running late, but they were super understanding. Once I arrived, they had the four flavors I requested ready. I tasted their red velvet, white, chocolate, and Italian creme. Now, the Italian cream was a last minute add because I was feeling adventurous. Surprisingly enough it turned out to be my favorite flavor. The Italian cream cake had peacans and coconut flakes in them which added to the taste. I also bought a couple of treats for my nieces. I got their new Ruby red velvet cake pops and I believe the birthday cake cake pop. My nieces loved them. They were great!

I think there prices are pretty fair. Their cupcakes are $2.75 and the iced cookies are only $1.50. The flavors are good. I tried a cookies and cream cupcake which tasted like an oreo and I also tried an iced cookie and I loved the decoration.

Stopped by with my sister when we were in the area earlier this week. It was only around 7 and they were busy closing up shop early, despite being advertised as open until 8.. Looked through their pastry offerings which included cake pops, cupcakes, cookies, petit fours and some other things which slip my mind. Their macarons were TINY and were way overpriced. Decided on petit fours since it had been awhile since I've had them. BIG MISTAKE. Worst petit fours i've ever had. The icing literally tasted like diabetes. Too much powdered sugar. The actual petit four was just cake.. no jam or filling in the middle. Definitely NOT an authentic petit four.

This is the last time I will order from Memorial Bakery. I placed a Custom Order two weeks ago & told them I would either pick it up Friday afternoon or it could be possibly Sat morning. In other words, if I do not show up Friday, do not be alarmed, I will be there Saturday morning. I called today (Thursday morning) to let them know, I would be there Friday before closing. I was told the person that took the order was given a choice of Friday or Sat, he chose Sat. too bad, so sad. Seriously... ?? and the most frustrating part was he kept talking over me and would not let me give my side. He was more interested in giving me. refund than solving my problem. This is the second and last time they have disappointed me. There are lots of bakeries to take your business to.

I ordered a cake for my son's high school graduation dinner. It was delicious! Everyone enjoyed the cake and asked where I got it from. I'll definitely order from here again. My son asked for a vanilla cake with white icing and strawberry filling. Boring, right? Not at all, it was delicious!

My husband and I came here on a Saturday evening. Nice place and staff. I had the yellow cupcake with chocolate icing and my husband had some sort of pastry that had cream cheese, or some type of cheese in it. We both enjoyed our bakery items. The lattes we had were good. The cakes and displays are very pretty. We would come back if we are in the area or needing a cake for a special occasion.

This bakery is outstanding! You can bring them any picture and they will make your dreams come true and it's going to be fresh and delicious. Any holiday you can show up and they will have fresh cakes ready to buy. I ordered 5 custom cakes here. My favorite flavors are the Chocolate cake with Strawberry or Raspberry filling and the White Cake with Custard filling. People always rave and take cake home. They are reasonably priced until you start stacking round tiers, then they have to charge you wedding cake prices. Pecan pie bars are my favorite in the case and my favorite drink is the Strawberry Cream blend with Strawberry and Mango gel.

I have ordered a cake and cupcakes here before and loved them... but was very disappointed in cookie order for an Open House. The colors did not match request, the icing was sloppy and we were charged $3 per cookie when it didn't even look like an adult made them... We were refunded, but unfortunately could not have cookies at the event due to how bad they looked. Memorial Bakery lost a repeat customer and would advise others to not get custom cookies from here.

Staff is very friendly ,cookies are awesome esp the decorations and I love the fact that they are not overly sweet .cakes are moist and always ready when promised

This past March, my lovely wife had a milestone birthday (one of those ones that are divisible by 10). In deference to her sensitive female nature, I won't reveal just how old....uh...young she is, but it was important that this birthday be celebrated appropriately. To this end, I organized a large surprise party and invited just about every friend she had (thank goodness for that Evite site). There was a lot of coordination involved (venue, decorations, food, drink, invites, etc.) and I was lucky that several of her girlfriends helped me out considerably. One of the things I left for myself was the cake. The first recommendation I received was Memorial Bakery. I looked them up on Yelp and saw that they had received two enthusiastic reviews from legitimate Yelpers. Their website was also useful and allowed me to get an overview of what they offered. The party was slated for a Friday, so I phoned Memorial Bakery on the Monday before. I spoke with Rachel who proved to be an invaluable asset. We were expecting 50 people so I told her I wanted a "full sheet" cake ($81.95). She told me it would be no problem to bake a cake that was half chocolate and half vanilla. I asked her to cover the whole thing with buttercreme icing. I'd noticed that for an additional $15, you could have a cake with a photo on it. I wasn't sure about that but thought the idea was cool so I asked her to send me (via email) a picture of a photo cake they'd done in the past. She did. It looked good. I confirmed my order with Rachel via email and attached a baby picture of my wife that I wanted on the cake. I also specified the colors for the frosting and the sentiment to be expressed. A few more emails were sent back and forth because I decided to change the picture the following day. Rachel was on top of everything. When I picked up the cake from Rachel on Friday afternoon, it looked exactly like I hoped it would. I either was very articulate with my request or she was reading my mind. I suspect it was the latter. Ive been buying cakes from here for many years. Birthdays, holidays and just for fun! They make GREAT cakes at a GREAT price and the turn around is pretty quick. The sugar cookies are great as well. The customer service is great too. I have not ordered cakes from anywhere else because I just love Memorial Bakery.

Today I gave the tapioca drink another shot. I'm not saying that it was the best tap in the world, but one of the better places in Memorial. They have definitely improved on the flavor of the drink. Although the tapioca is still flavorless, it is soft. And my green milk tea actually tasted like green milk tea this time; not that gross powder that other tap places in memorial have started using. So, if you're in the area, and craving tap, this place may be your best bet. I will definitely drop by this place more often. Tip: They definitely OD'd on the amount of ice they added to my drink, which made it difficult to sip up the tapioca, so be sure to ask for light ice!

Cookies taste good, price could be lower but for the taste of the sweets i think its alright. This place has my favorite coookies at it. Cupcakes are okay/ some are way tooo sweet. Overall its great!

Family friendly, closed on Sundays (that's a plus in my book), tasty and lovely treats as well as cakes, reasonable prices and great service. They have a big coffee/caffeinated drink selection now but I haven't tried it. My husband and I happened on this place years ago when we were looking to buy a mattress next door and then ended up getting our wedding cake and subsequent anniversary cakes here. We like to stop by every time we're in the area with our kids. : ) They have wifi but they don't have tvs and screens to distract from having conversation. They also have couches, tables and LOTS of board games though it looks like the couches and board games are off limits currently due to covid precautions. One last plus is that they're very supportive of their community. If you need bread or a sweet, I'd visit them.

If your not an elite alumni WHITE person prepare yourself to be skipped not served or treated as tho you are not worthy. Been here several times and my money is spent the same as yours. Rich house wives get service even if you are in the middle of an order. The staff is rude, sad because the cheese croissants are delish.
