Went here after a long moving day and was the first meal at 5pm so I was really looking forward to it. I was sadly kinda disappointed. I got the bulgogi meatloaf with tots and ramen and cheese. The meatloaf was sauced down in essentially buffalo sauce and at first it was cool because I’ve never had a bulgogi meatloaf but after each bit it just became more mid. And the ramen and cheese was literally just ramen and cheese nothing more lol. I got 3 steamed buns and nothing was steaming about them, they were cold as if they were taken right out the fridge and given to me. My friend got the pulled pork plate and he was eh about it too. Safe to say I won’t be coming back here for the food but they have amazing Soju piña coladas aha. Customer service was great though!

Google
This place has fallen off a cliff. Super disappointing. Will never go back. The river boat chicken strips used to be a huge portion of juicy, tender chicken fingers with a nice thick batter coating.. now it's a pathetic thin coated, over cooked dry chicken and the portion is 1/4th what it used to be. Look at the photos. $13 for that? Pathetic. This new hyped up "hot chicken" straight up sucks. It's the same order with a bad sauce on top - looks nothing like the advertised pics. The sides are smaller and the orders are wrong often. You used to be solid MS - you guys messed up bad. Big loss.

Google
Absolutely out of this world! We went after brooklyn comic con and swore it'd be packed. Do NOT let the small appearance fool you- this place is so amazing. The prices are great for the size of things and while it seems like servings are small I am typing this with a full belly trying to make space for our peach bread pudding. We got the catfish strips, a BBQ jackfruit sandwich, and ramen and cheese (I was SO curious about it) and MAN it blew me away. The girl at the counter was so nice (the computer wasn't working right) and the vibes were just right with the music and artwork around the place. The food was so amazing- I'm already looking for excuses to come back. I do NOT leave reviews often but this place deserves way more hype because I've never heard someone mention it before and they otta be . Out of this world- Highly recommend.

Google
I placed and order via DoorDash at 8:10, called this place at 8:50 because i hadn’t received my order. The man who answered the phone is telling me that door dash hasn’t assigned a dasher yet and I proceed to tell him door dash is telling me you guys handle your own deliveries, he proceeds to tell me that’s not true and offers no solution. I call back after another 20 min, explain to him again that it’s now 9:10 and i still don’t have my order and he starts to get an attitude and tell me there is nothing he can do, “he can’t rush the dasher” and im trying to explain to him again that they’re saying tMemphis Seoul handles their own deliveries but he’s not having it and again offers no solution. Fast forward, it is now 10 pm, the store is closed and they just go ahead and cancel my order. Needless to say, never again

Google
The catfish bowl was great. Really flavorful and balanced, however I found more than 5 hairs in each bowl… contacted DoorDash and got my money back, but I have never seen anything like this in my life.

Google
Hit or miss. Chicken was crispy and Baos are good but everything is overpriced. Cornbread had no flavor, collards were cold, slaw was bland, and the chicken sandwich was too spicy for my friend. Service took forever and the staff were kind but a bit disorganized.

Google
I’m giving two stars because the customer service was good, the person at the counter gave me and my wife advice about what to ea, since this was our first time in the restaurant…. After ordering the food the wait was like 10 minutes which is not bad, but the food itself was not good, is wasn’t fresh, I ordered the BBQ Jackfruit, so disappointed it was like eating a full spoon of BBQ sauce straight from the jar, the sides were cornbread and pickles, the pickles weren’t fresh, the best of my order was the bread… now my wife asked for some meatloaf with coleslaw and cheese ramen…. also the flavor was a disaster in all of it, the coleslaw was not fresh… to be short we ate one spoon of each thing and throw the food to the garbage. 50 dollars to the trash, basically. Completely dissatisfied and will not recommend to nobody.

Google
The food at this place rocks. We got the bulgogi meatloaf and chicken tenders. The chicken tenders were fresh and crispy, homemade for sure. And the bulgogi meatloaf had great flavor and wasn’t too greasy. Kind and friendly staff as well. Definitely check this place out.

Yelp
I was taking care of an errand in the area and saw the words Memphis Seoul across the street, immediately intrigued. The spot is relatively small but clean and the service was good, counter person made good recs while I was ordering. I had the loaded tiger tots with bulgogi meatloaf (eat right away so tots don't get soggy) with a Seoul sauce drizzle and it was slamming. Next time (and there will soon be a next time) I'd order double meat and if ordering to go I'd try the rice bowl instead because it would carry better long term. There's allot of fusion options that are creative and intriguing so I'll be sure to return and will update my reviews as I try brew menu items! Til next eat!

Yelp
Underrated gem! Serving Korean-Southern fusion dishes like korean chicken and hash browns, catfish baos, the cuisine is quite unique and worth a try. Great drink specials as well, if you're feeling ambitious try the a Soju beer tower. The restaurant itself is rather small with only 3 tables, so it's more of a takeout spot.

Carl R.

Yelp
We was just feeling the wall slogan and ended up having the best damn lunch in a while

Rosa C.

Yelp
Memphis Seoul executed the southern + Korean fusion better than expected but overall the food was too greasy and the fried chicken was not as crispy as I was hoping, despite us dining at the restaurant and that was disappointing. The loaded tiger tots was spicy, just as we had hoped. The ramen and cheese (mac and cheese but with ramen) was really cool in theory but the ramen was too overcooked and I wish it was more al dente to let the ramen shine through.

Casai H.

Yelp
Went on Friday to get their BOGO sandwich. Got the catfish sandwich and it was absolutely delicious!!

Talen Y.

Yelp
I had really high hopes for this place looking at the menu. But it was very disappointing. I ordered the bulgogi meatloaf with ramen n cheese, kimchi slaw. Chicken bao and peach bread pudding. The meatloaf was okay, didn't taste any bulgogi and the meatloaf by itself was a tad bland. Kimchi slaw was super bland along with the ramen n cheese, no flavor. The most disappointing was the peach bread pudding, it was hard as a rock and tasteless. The chicken bao was probably the best food item, although a bit pricey for the small portion size. Overall, the food isn't worth the price

Yolanda S.

Yelp
Recently visited this place with a friend to grab some dinner. We ordered catfish buns, kimchi slaw, wings and the mane! medley. The bad: This restaurant is woefully understaffed. If you're going to cook food to order you need more than one employee and a bigger frier. We waited over 30 minutes for our food. The good: the women behind the counter was kind and courteous even though she was obviously overwhelmed with orders. She apologized for our long wait and gave us free drinks and a dessert for our trouble. The food was delicious. Memphis Seoul, please consider adding more staff on weeknight evenings and give Lee (the cook/counterperson) a raise and promotion!!

Josh B.

Yelp
Encompassing three categories, Korean, Southern and College, Memphis Seoul can be confusing as it's not always clear when the item will be a fusion or a more classic configuration. The "Kollards" for example, don't earn that K and don't look like the website picture, but the ramen and cheese was a more effective side. I got the three-bun combo and the meatloaf was the best of these. The fried chicken one was fine but you can get chicken, so you might want to roll the dice on the jackfruit, turning in a laudable imitation of pulled pork. Thumbs up for the three outdoor tables.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this gem while picking up a kettlebell from someone in prospect heights (I know mad random). It was tucked in on a side street closer to Franklin Ave and the unique name made me yelp the menu. Menu definitely looked legit as well as the reviews so I ordered some food from Yelp to go. Inside were two young people preparing and packaging the food. I asked one of them what his favorite items off the menu were and he said EVERYTHING! I was a little skeptical as I have never tried Ramen and cheese, and or collard greens from a Korean restaurant but, baybeeee it 'twas DELICIOUS! A mix between sweet and spicy and the ramen tasted just like regular "black folks" Mac! The fried chicken was a bit too greasy but that's ok, just take off the skin and chow down!

Angela Y.

Yelp
Really wanted to like this place because I am a fiend for fusion food, but unfortunately for the price it just didn't stand out. I only tried one catfish bao so take this review with a grain of salt, but for $8 I really expected more. The slaw was just normal slaw (so much missed potential for fusion flavors), and while the catfish was very crispy, it was almost too much crisp and not enough fish, and I couldn't really taste the flavor. Also a tiny portion. Would try again if they were running some kind of discount, otherwise just too $$$

Carly G.

Yelp
Amazing blend of American soul food with Korean food, hence the name "Memphis Seoul." I would never have thought that this fusion would be good together, but it really was amazing!

Marcus S.

Yelp
3 and 1/2 stars as the food was decent. This review is from their recent appearance for the 4th of July festival at the Waterfront. I'm sure all the vendors were surprised a bit by the turnout of people. Nearly all the vendors were out of food just before dark. There was a huge wait, well over an hour on line then another few minutes for the food. As soon as I ordered a fried chicken bun, they took down the sign for it so we lucked out. The problem started with the line itself though - it was so confusing, at first no one really knew where it started and it would've been nice if they had someone run the line. When we got up to the front they were fairly friendly with taking orders and recommendations but non of them were wearing masks or gloves. Is that how it is at their main location? We got the meatloaf - tiger tots and fried chicken bao buns. Both were again pretty decent but as expected the tots were more heavy on the tots and a bit skimped on the meat. Not bad but have had much better organization and food from a food truck, even at packed fests like this one. Perhaps the brick and mortar location is better.

Alexia M.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite spots in Brooklyn, the chicken is super crispy and seasoned and the sauces bomb af

Yelp
My order: Bulgolgi meatloaf, ramen n cheese, kimchi Coleslaw Pros + Outdoor seating + Friendly service Cons - Food: there was no bulgolgi in my meatloaf, no kimchi in my coleslaw. The ramen n cheese would've probably tasted better without the sweet chili thai sauce. - Parking I don't know what I was expecting. Having had plenty of korean food, I was rather disappointed. The food incorporated tangy flavor but definitely missed out on the spicy and sweet elements. The steamed baos seemed better according to my friend. Not sure that I'd come back.

Yelp
3.5 stars. I'm always excited to partake in Restaurant Week. Winter 2021's takeout/delivery format was definitely funky and different, but interesting... though there were lots of kinks to work out, like some businesses just not having that special $20.21 meal at all? But I digress. My friend came across Memphis Seoul and we knew right away that we had to give them a try. I mean, soul food by way of Korea? Hell yeah. The verdict? Great entrees, average sides, disappointing desserts. Let's start with the mains first: the Korean BBQ meatloaf was absolutely delicious. Tender, moist, and flavorful with a little bit of sweetness from that bulgogi marinade. The BBQ jackfruit was also delightful. The sauce was perfectly smoky and tangy, and I liked the texture of the jackfruit. Great option for vegetarians and meat-eaters alike. The kimchi coleslaw was nice and refreshing with a great pickled flavor. The ramen 'n' cheese was okay, though I would've preferred it creamy rather than solid and somewhat dry. The Korean cornbread was weirdly soggy and I didn't enjoy it at all. As for desserts, the strawberry soju cake looked so pretty (think Pepto Bismol but make it classy) but it was so unappetizingly sweet. For what it's worth, my friend really liked it. The peach cobbler also suffered from sweetness overload, and it was much more dense than I imagined. Guys, cut back on the sugar please. They were both big portions though. Would definitely order from here again, especially now that I know what to avoid... and more importantly, what I need more of in my life! (For those wondering: meatloaf. The answer is always meatloaf.)

Yelp
I love fusion and was excited to try this spot. I was thoroughly impressed by how crispy and juicy the friend chicken sandwich was -- highly recommend! I also ordered two fixin's/sides, the korean cornbread and the ramen and cheese. The cornbread was good. The "korean flavor" was mild. The ramen and cheese was tasty at first bite -- it had a sweet chili sauce flavor to it -- but after I was full from eating everything else, I wasn't feeling it much anymore. The inside of the store is small and it's more of a takeout spot.

Yelp
Ordered on UberEats over $50 of food (2 dinner combos with 2 sides and 2 of the buns). Only received the buns and it was cold by the time I got it. It also took over an hour and a half to receive just to not even receive my meals.

Yelp
Which genius thought to mix up korean and soul food!? That combination goes so well together! I came across Memphis Seoul while walking through the Atlantic summer festival. There was an aromatic BBQ scent and a huge crowd of people surrounding this booth, so my friend and I had to check it out. Their menu is mostly soul food with a korean twist in it. My friend and I ordered the trio bao sampler with BBQ jackfruit, bulgogi meatloaf, ... and I can't quite remember the last one. I was most excited to try the BBQ jackfruit, because I heard jackfruit is a great meat alternative. It was weird to imagine jackfruit as meat because I've only ever ate jackfruit as a fruit alone! Memphis Seoul did a great job with the Jackfruit because when I first bit into it, it tasted EXACTLY like meat and I didn't have any suspicions that it tasted like meat alternative. I was mindblown. After trying the other meat baos we ordered, I realized then that what I initially thought was meat was actually jackfruit. If you taste the other meats in comparison, you'll notice there's a different texture from the rest. But you won't notice it at first bite! The jackfruit has a chewy but soft texture, and has a *pulled pork* texture. As for the bulgogi meatloaf, I normally don't like meatloafs but my friend wanted this one. Similar to regular Korean bulgogi, the bulgogi meatloaf bao here was sweet. The sauces they used to accompany all the baos complemented the meats so well! I had a really good experience here, esp with the Jackfruit. I would highly recommend this place to my vegetarian friends! Hoping to come back to visit the actual restaurant.

Yelp
Ordered through their website so that the restaurant gets most of the cut. While the order arrived later (~30m) from expected time listed, given the situation of covid and restaurant week, it's totally understandable. I called just to check in and the person who answered the phone was prompt at updating me on the status. I feel like many of the reviews are giving the restaurant unfair ratings solely based on delivery experiences, but that's just my two cents... would recommend anyone who wants to get delivery and support the restaurant without using apps that take a huge cut to maybe order 1-2 hours ahead given everything going on. Had the bulgogi meatloaf + ramen and roasted veggies + peach cobbler. The meal was overall tasty and well portioned. Would recommend.. The peach cobbler was quite disappointing though--far too sweet and like a dense pudding... nothing like a peach cobbler. Would definitely order from here again, but I think there's some room for improvement for the desserts menu.

Yelp
2nd time visiting this place! First time the meatloaf and rack of ribs. This time, 4 pc fried chicken combo with cornbread and kimchi slaw. Wife got the half rack of ribs with pickles and ramen mac. We also got an order of tiger tots with sauce on the side. The person taking our order recommended the Gangnam sauce and we love spicy so we got the kpop atomic sauce. The Kpop sauce is legit spicy, lips are faintly tingling still as I am writing this review. So let's get into it! We got here. Inside was not available, some patrons had arrived before and had been eating their meal. So we opted out and sat outside since it was 56 degrees out. Anyways I ordered the food and waited, the service is good. The guys working that day were polite and help making order easy. The ribs are very very good, I mean these are the slutty, been smoking for hours I mean HOURS, so it literally slips right off the bone. I mean it's like the meat is so delicate it breaks up with absolute ease. The Kpop sauce drizzled on top of the ribs, a little slaw and a pickle to make the perfect bite! Yikes major flavortown, dunk a tot and pop that in right after for some crunchy texture. They have loaded version of the tiger tots, you can add sauce and protein, next time for sure. Lastly the fried chicken, as I bite into the first piece I instantly get the biggest crunch! Normally KFC (Korean Fried chicken) is double sometimes even triple fried. This one is the crunchiest chicken I have ever bitten into! With that being said, the flavor I was expecting from the chicken fell a bit short. The chicken looked perfectly spiced with huge pieces of cracked pepper visible in the breading and the color is slightly darker and was thinking the chicken would be a little spicy but was deceivingly less flavorful than expected. There was no flavor of spice in the chicken. I'd give this a soft 4 stars, I'm glad the guy recommended getting the sauces, adding the kpop atomic sauce to the slaw and the chicken made both much better! That Kpop atomic sauce is what gave this meal more flavor and the Korean kick that it needed. The spiced cornbread with honey is 10/10 eat that joint when it's hot!! Anyways great meal and gentlemen working today we're great. The food fell a little short today with sides not as flavorful today and the chicken even though super crunchy lacked slightly in seasoning and was on the tougher side. Got a piece that was unedible because it was fried to long. Wish we had room for banana pudding but were way too stuffed, next time. Tips, get sauces! At least 2-3 kinds. Get the cornbread and Banana pudding!! Also there was no bathroom at this location, I was told to use the pizzeria next-door.

Yelp
Discovered this place 2 years ago at Tastes of Franklin (Ave), so this review is a long time coming. Ordered takeout twice in past month - I'm obsessed! Their fried chicken always has me craving more. Best part is that you get to choose which pieces you want. My go-to is 2 legs and 1 thigh. Korean cornbread and kimchi coleslaw are amazing. Not a big coleslaw fan but I decided to give it a try. Pleasantly surprised by how flavorful yet subtle the flavor was, almost a zesty ranch taste that went well with chicken. Korean cornbread is consistently moist. The banana pudding is solid. This time I decided to try the Strawberry soju cake. Good cake, and nothing more trademark and true to southern "Seoul" food than strawberry cake. Disappointed that the icing was hard to eat, thick and a little sweet, cake didn't really give much soju flavor. I'd probably stick to banana pudding next time. Don't forget to order from their website instead! Support your small businesses like this gem.

Yelp
Would come everyday the food is amazing must try place The buns are the best service was amazing a young lady help me pick out a few items to try on my first time ambiance was great would come back

Nathaniel P.

Yelp
TLDR: Loved the meatloaf and Korean cornbread! Came here spontaneously! I was originally on my way to get Thai food, but I thought that Korean/southern food fusion sounded really interesting. I asked the cashier what his favorite items were and he told me to get the 3 bun combo: steamed buns with choice of meats and two sides. I chose the meatloaf bun which he highly recommended, along with the fried chicken and BBQ pork. For sides I got the Korean cornbread and a medley of vegetables. Of the buns, my favorite was the meatloaf. It was flavorful, tender, crispy and I would probably order just that next time. The chicken was also great. I also quite enjoyed the cornbread. The cornbread had a great texture and it was sweet and buttery with a slight kimchi flavor- really good. I was not a fan of the vegetable medley; I thought there was too much going on. Service was great. paid at the counter and they brought it to the table outside. Workers all wore masks and hand sanitizer is provided. The cashier was friendly and was extremely helpful. Would come again to try other things!

Stephanie B.

Yelp
Tried this spot out at a food festival over the weekend. They had a long line plus it was Asian inspired food and they had bao buns so I needed to try them out! They were extremely busy and worked super slow but after waiting over an hour to order and get our food.. not the best food I've tried. After we ordered we noticed they were heating up the bao buns in a microwave oven and not sure if this is how the prepare at their storefront or because it was a food festival. The food was not terrible but we had high expectations because of the line and the photos looked amazing. Not bad of a place to eat from just don't expect a burst of flavor town.

Marina L.

Yelp
Ordered the restaurant week meal for takeout today. The platter came with a choice of meat and two choices of sides, plus a dessert. The food was cold when it got here, so we reheated it in the microwave. All of the food was delicious, especially he kimchi coleslaw. The cornbread was fluffy and the pulled pork had a nice flavor. I actually liked that the pulled pork wasn't too fatty, but some of the lean meat could be considered a bit dry. The strawberry soju cake was interesting... not sure where the soju comes in, but it's basically a strawberry pound cake with strawberry icing. The cake is pretty sweet and more artificial-tasting than I would've liked. Overall, would recommend as a place to try!

Gabriella N.

Yelp
I have heard about this place, and walked past it a few times and it was TIME to try!! I am so glad I did. I had the chicken sandwich with the sides of ramen mac (how could you not?!) and the coleslaw. I was a little nervous about the slaw because I'm not a huge kimchi fan, but there was little to no flavor of the kimchi in the slaw, which I was surprised by. I was ready to be *~adventurous~*. The ramen mac was one of those things I kept eating going 'do I like this?' and the next thing I knew, I was completely finished with it...so the answer is, yes. It is a unique way to make mac, using ramen noodles, and the two sauces added were really delicious! It was pretty runny, but that didn't take away from the taste. The sandwich came with pickles, more slaw, and was on a delicious bun - a mixture of the taste of brioche (buttery goodness) and the sturdiness (and deliciousness) of potato bread. I'm sure that's so far off from what it actually is, but the sandwich was top notch. OMG. I ALMOST FORGOT BECAUSE I ATE IT SO FAST - THE BANANA PUDDING?!?!?! Amazing. A must get. It was light and fluffy and delicious. A little expensive for the small container but I would eat that every single day for the rest of my life. I will definitely be going back and checking out the Bulgogi and the tots. I might opt for pick up next time, since the delivery took a bit longer than expected.

Khanh N.

Yelp
Loved the premise of this restaurant, as it combines two of my favorite types of soul food. I'm not sure if the reality lived up to expectations, however. Ordered delivery during the pandemic. The order got here very quickly, which was a plus. We ordered two portions of the three piece riverboat combo, which came with two sides. We needed up picking the ramen n' cheese and the housemade sesame pickles. For dessert, we had the banana pudding and the strawberry soju cake. The best part of the order, and the most worth it, were the sesame pickles. They were exactly what I was looking for, with the right blend of tanginess and kick. The fried chicken didn't quite have the crunch I was expecting; it was more breaded, with the outer texture of a corn dog. The portion for the ramen n' cheese was smaller than expected, and quite tame: wished it was spicier. As for the dessert, the banana pudding was all right, though not the best I've had. The strawberry soju cake smelled fragrant but tasted disappointing; the frosting was too, too sweet, and the cake wasn't soaked with enough moisture. It was an interesting meal conceptually, but the only thing it delivered on was speed, unfortunately.

Yelp
Great Korean and soul food fusion spot! Ordered a bunch of things for takeout to share with a friend. The Fried Chicken Strips were great. The chicken strips themselves were well seasoned so they were good by themselves, but the Seoul Sauce we ordered with it added a delicious kick to everything. We ordered the combo for this which comes with two sides and we picked the Kollard Greens and Kimchi Coleslaw. The greens were great, the gochujang really added a really great flavor. The coleslaw was pretty good too, I could have done with a bit more kimchi flavor though. We also ordered the Fully Loaded Tiger Tots with pulled pork and Gangnam Style sauce. Overall this was pretty good! For an additional side, we ordered the Ramen 'N' Cheese which I thought was just alright. I just think it needed a bit more cheese and gochujang flavoring. We ended things off with the Strawberry Soju Cake which was my least favorite thing. A bit too sweet for my liking and virtually no strawberry flavor. Overall, the menu can be a bit hit or miss, but I'm really glad I got to try this place! Definitely worth it.

Melissa H.

Yelp
The food is good the meatloaf was very good and filling. The ramen noodle Mac and cheese was okay but I think it will be better with thicker noodles, but I understand the concept. Nice restaurant.

Gabby G.

Yelp
AN ABSOLUTE SMASH HIT! We got this catered today for a work event and it all flew! The fried chicken is the perfect, crispiest chicken. The Ramen Mac n Cheese was flawless and like nothing I've had before. Crisp on top and accompanied by this hot sauce that really made the dish. For dessert - we had Banana Pudding which was a crowd favorite, the peach cobbler, and Death By Chocolate which was devoured before anything else. HIGHLY RECCOMEND YOU GIVE THIS PLACE A TRY!!!!

John B.

Yelp
Only in New York! Delicious food, reliable every time, fast delivery, and AMAZING customer service. Ramen Mac n Cheese, Bulgogi Meatloaf, Kimchi Cole Slaw, Korean Corn Bread, Fried Chicken... you can't go wrong!

Tamara J.

Yelp
I can literally say this is not it. Now I will give the excuse that maybe I just came to close to the closing time. But literally everything I had was a waste of money. And no i will not be returning. Maybe their food isn't for me.

Dan C.

Yelp
Extremely mediocre. As a Korean, can say that none of the items had any signifying Korean flavors. Concept sounded promising, execution wasn't. Staff were super nice.

Melissa C.

Yelp
So I came here on a Tuesday night for takeout. I was so excited to try this place because I love southern food & love Korean food , so you put them together and it should be magic right ? RIGHT?! So I order online for pickup and it was ready before the estimated time.. SCORE! The employees were nice and polite .. SCORE! I ordered 3 piece fried chicken with cheesy ramen & cornbread with a lychee soju. So I got my food and got in my car, I was so excited and hungry, as I'm driving, I bust out a thigh and take a bite. And it tasted like NOTHING , y'all . I was so confused. As I got closer to home, I took another bite of my chicken and I swear I thought I had COVID for a hot second because I tasted NOTHING . It was like eating hot air. So I'm pissed because WTH. I take a piece of the cornbread and it's spicy & gross. I get home and the food is lukewarm and I'm wondering if it's even worth firing up my air fryer to heat up the food. I'm Starving so I heat it up and get to eating . The ramen is gross Yall, the cornbread is a fail. But the CHICKEN THO. Has NO SEASONING. I don't get it! There's no other way to explain this . This can't be the same chicken that these people are raving about . IT CANT BE. I mean it was crispy tho but flavorless. The saving grace is the soju which was delicious and the nice staff.

Shaodong L.

Yelp
Had a piece of plastic in the ramen n cheese The price is too high for this kind of quality and is it even Korean owned business ? Or it's just some random white people imitating Korean food stop trying to make it happen it's tasteless

Vaibhav M.

Yelp
Really good, really low-key spot. I got the fried chicken bao with the Kollard Greens and Kornbread. Great deal for the quantity of food. I wish it had a little more oomph - could have used a bit more spice and umami - but overall a really good meal, especially given the price. Super friendly staff too, they let em sample the BBQ Jackfruit. I will definitely be back.

Anna P.

Yelp
My husband loves fried chicken and the couple with whom we were dining loves Korean food, so this was a natural choice! It took a long time to get our food, but to be fair they do have a sign with a disclaimer saying everything is made to order. And it was a Saturday night and it looked like they were busy with takeout. It was just a very hot night and I also had to go to the bathroom and didn't see a restroom for customers (though, again to be fair, I didn't ask for one), so that was my main impression. Once we got the food, though, it all paid off. I got three different bao buns, which had such great flavor. The pulled pork was probably my favorite. I had some of my husband's fried chicken and it was fantastic! That would be my first choice next time. We also got the loaded tots, which were more than enough food for two people. The meatloaf on top was delicious. I would go again.

Yelp
I was super excited for the friend chicken bowl. Especially having lived in Memphis I was super pumped to see it nearby. Unfortunately, my order was never delivered. Now, ordering it through an outside app, I tend to give a pass when it claims the delivery time and over estimate, however after two hours of "preparing order" I called the restaurant to check in. Not only was the staff that answered very unprofessional, but they proceeded to tell me that they couldn't find the order and needed to check the other computer. After putting the phone on the counter (not on hold)and clearly messing around (and cursing) with other staff, they simply replied "oh yea, it's here. HA!" then proceeded to hang up on me. Within 30 seconds the app updated to "order complete" and now, nearly another 30 min later, the restaurant is closed and I still do not have my meal. Upon reviewing yelp, this restaurant has struggled with their delivery and service for quite some time. It's really unfortunate, but I will not be trying again as this experience has left me hungry and with a sour taste in my mouth. Best of luck, fellow Tennessean.

Yelp
Although we just had the chicken strips, they were delicious! Cooked to perfection. And I am so super picky with chicken period, so it was a pleasant surprise when I tasted them. So good. We wanted to try the tiger tots, I believe it's called, but we stuck with the strips just to be safe.

Yelp
Seems like a lot of other patrons would share a similar experience to mine in waiting nearly 2 hours to get no food. I've ordered from here before then too, and during that time, it also took way longer than it should have. I ended up canceling my order. Someone from the restaurant called and suggested "un-canceling" it and that they would try to get it out to me. He tells me that my order had already been made and that they had a blackout for 2 hours. Well, if you received and accepted my order 2 hours ago, you could have called some time in between? My number is on the ticket that you printed. It's rather annoying to have received a phone call only after I've canceled and 2 hours later. Additionally, he tells me that my food had already been made. So naturally, I asked him if my food had been sitting out the entire time. His response was "well, we had a blackout". If you had one chance to reconcile after wasting 2 hours of my time, you really shouldn't waste it giving excuses. And now that I'm here and having combed through other's reviews, it seems like something always comes up preventing them from delivering food even remotely on time.

Yelp
Found them at the Bryant Park movie night and ordered the ramen and cheese. It was on the dryer side of Mac and cheeses but super flavorful with the bbq sauce they also put on top

Yelp
I ordered my food just before 6 pm. The online ordering system said my food would arrive at around 7, but I figured it might be a bit longer since it's NY Restaurant Week. It is now 9 pm. I have been waiting for my meal for 3 hours. There is no sign of my food. Two hours in I managed to get through to someone, and the person I spoke with delivered the most pathetic stream of defensive excuses I've ever heard. And now, to double down on their disregard for customer service, the restaurant is refusing to even answer the phone. I have no idea if, or when, the food will ever arrive. I understand a place being busy because of restaurant week; sh*t, I'm happy for their success. But this is Olympic-level incompetence and bad planning. There is no excuse. Period. I will never, ever patronize this place again, and I'd suggest you avoid too. UPDATE: I finally received my food 4 hours after I ordered. The food was, not surprisingly, cold by the time it arrived. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't particularly remarkable either. The slaw didn't appear to have kimchi as a significant ingredient. The BBQ jackfruit was decent. The ramen mac/cheese was also fine, but felt more like a gimmick than an original spin on a classic. My daughter loved the cornbread. What made all of this even more frustrating is that if someone would have simply answered the phone, I could have gotten an update...and if needed would have taken option to simply cancel my order, ask for a refund, and try again some other time. But they wouldn't answer the phone. I mean no ill will toward a small business owner, but if you're too small to accommodate this volume of orders...then turn off delivery until you can successfully fill the demand you ARE equipped to handle. I'm sorry, but to do otherwise is just bad business.

Yelp
I ordered pickup from this place. The staff was super friendly and kept me updated on my order. I got the pulled pork sammie combo with ramen n' cheese and the Korean cornbread as the sides. Everything had a slight spiciness to it but nothing too strong. The sammie was super flavorful and juicy and the coleslaw inside complemented ever really well. The loaded tiger tots were amazing. I got it with pulled pork and the Gangnam style sauce (creamy and spicy) which did have a slight kick to it but nothing too crazy. I think the creaminess of it went super well with everything making it super flavorful. The tots were also crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Tip - add coleslaw to it for another layer of flavor and additional crunch! The strawberry soju cake was good as a cake with strawberry icing. The cake itself was dense (similar to cornbread) and did not have much of a strawberry flavor, but not too sweet which I liked. However, the icing was extremely sugary and had a strong strawberry candy flavor, which did kind of balance out with the cake. The banana pudding was delicious but kind of pricey for a small container.

Yelp
The positive reviews must be from friends. Got a delivery that took forever. The result was a congealed mess. I hate that I wasted a meal on this. Next time in NY I'll go anywhere else. Follow up: Not only did I get bad mood and slow service, I have received a nasty message from the owner. Avoid any place where the owner is this hostile.

Yelp
I got this for takeout and tried a bunch of different stuff. I'm a sucker for unique fusion food, but overall I just wasn't impressed with anything really. Fried chicken - moist but breading didn't have much flavor at all Bulgogi meatloaf - decent flavor, a bit mushy on texture. I've had much better meatloaf Ramen and cheese - probably the best thing I had Cole slaw - really bland Pickled cucumbers - way too vinegar heavy Cornbread - the most disappointing, overcooked and burned on the outside

Yelp
This is an echo of a review I just read. DO NOT order directly from the restaurant through Chownow, ONLY order through doordash or something like it so you can track your order. I wanted to support this restaurant directly but they are not in an organized state to do so. I ordered for my partner and I at 7:20pm expecting an hour wait, it has now been 2 hours with a "busy line" at the restaurant and a Chownow rep who cannot get in contact with them. I am happy they are busy, great for the restaurant, however they need to withdraw from Chownow or delivery from the restaurant if they cannot handle it. And they need to be far more transparent to their customers. UPDATE: received the order almost 3 hours later. They got my order wrong. Doesnt taste bad, nothing remarkable.

Yelp
I ordered from here last week, first-timer and I'm in love! I ordered the Four-piece combo of their delicious Riverboat Fried Chicken, ramen mac&cheese, and cornbread. The chicken was crispy and warm upon arrival which I was so happy about. There was a lot going on at the restaurant and my order did take a bit longer than expected but totally worth the wait. Honestly, better to be busy than not at all. I spoke with Richard (hope I remembered the right now), he was super honest about the wait time and communicated the hold-up and why, which is not something I can say for most places. Okay back to the food! I've never had ramen mac&cheese and this one was sooo good. It had a spicy kick which I'm sure most people would really enjoy. I'm just not at all a spicy lover, but I still powered through and ate it. Defiantly looking forward to having another couple of dishes from here.
