Menchie's Frozen Yogurt

Went in with my wife and daughter for some frozen yogurt. Like most frozen yogurt spots nowadays, they unfortunately don’t offer sample cups — which was disappointing since it’s nice to try before committing to a flavor. I picked a few flavors that looked good, and thankfully they were tasty. The toppings were fresh and well-stocked. However, the service left a bit to be desired. The girl working the register seemed uninterested and didn’t really engage or make the experience welcoming. Overall, the yogurt itself was good, but the service was pretty mid. A little more enthusiasm from the staff would go a long way in making the visit feel more enjoyable.

I typically don’t write reviews, but I had to come here and say that the environment at this menchies is phenomenal. Particularly speaking, I came in with my kids after having an extremely tough day, and this sweet red haired girl just uplifted our day so much. Little did she know we were having a rough day. The atmosphere was so kind, warm and welcoming because of this girl. I hope all workers can be as kind as she was and lead the workplace with such a great attitude and example. Also, the froyo tasted amazing, the place was clean.

My partner and I just moved to the area, and the other night I really wanted frozen yogurt. In the other places that we lived, there were always ice cream shops, but never fro-yo. I was so excited to find a place so close, and the best part of it? It was delicious! I can't wait to go here again! Also, the staff that was working were top tier!

Great place 👌 I was here with my kids, and my son was impressed by how many toppings they have 😁 We got mixed frozen yogurt with lots of topping, and it was delicious 😋

I love Menchies, but I did not love this Menchies. We only visited here because our Menchies was closed for renovations. To summarize, my 9 yo nephew said, "Food = delicious. Service and inside = garbage." This Menchies was visibly dirty, in addition to sticky counters, chairs, bathrooms, and floors (see the picture). The employee we dealt with was sullen and not welcoming. There were aggressive signs about no tasting, no online coupons, and being asked to leave (see the picture). There were only two tables and a bench inside, so most people stood up while eating. My out-of-town friends (who also love Menchies!) did not enjoy this experience. However, there were some positives. I love the concept, flavors, and the toppings of Menchies, in general. There was also extensive outdoor seating, weather permitting. Based upon the lack of cleanliness, the negative signs, the lack of indoor seating, and the employees' attitudes, I cannot recommend this Menchies. I would advise you to drive to a different location, even if it's far away, to enjoy this delicious frozen yogurt.

This place is out of this world... This is where desert craving & yogurt meet. You'll love it... But you've got to try it first... Let me know

Dirtiest Menches I've ever been to. Owner is nice but they have rude messages posted inside like "No samples and if you lick your finger we will ask you to leave the store" wow!! Also the floor is so sticky that I had to clean my shoes afterwards. Just nasty! Yogurt is good though! Hopefully they clean up the mess and make this place more welcoming soon

Menchie's is similar to Red Mango and Pinkberry, except they only have froyo here (no smoothie, no acai bowls, etc.). The price is also comparable to other places at $0.68/oz. The main reason I came here was because Oberweis's drive-thru line was long and their indoor seating was closed. The shop is small, but they had some seating available inside and a bench outside. Lots of frozen yogurt flavors to choose from (original tart, creamy peanut butter, cake batter, pumpkin, pineapple, peach mango, cookies 'n cream...) along with toppings. A solid Menchie's location with plenty of options of rich flavors like peanut butter and chocolate, and lighter options such as pineapple and mango. With also a good mix of sweeter, not too sweet, sorbet, and tart options. This can be paired an an impressive selection of mix ins like nuts, candy, popping boba, fruit, and syrups. Overall, you get the same great yogurt you expect from a Menchies here with a well maintained set of toppings in a bright and attractive looking store.

This is literally a hidden gem since my GPS took me a few blocks away. But once I eventually found it, it hit the spot. It had been several months since I'd had frozen yogurt and had a craving for it after dinner. I was not disappointed with my selection. I loved the wide selection of flavors that they offer. I ended up getting the chocolate and peanut flavors, while my husband went much more fruity. They have so many toppings selections that I didn't see them all until after I sat down. Menchie's Frozen Yogurt is a good selection for frozen yogurt flavors and toppings. I also love the décor. The purple and green isn't seen a lot but they make it work in this family friendly establishment.

I love Menchie's. But this location isn't run properly and owner is too frugal. My go to favorite flavor original tart was down (this isn't first time ) and he doesn't offer samples. Employees are friendly. I've been to other locations, the lobby is much bigger, cleaner and they offer samples. never any issues. Disappointing because this is in our area and we like supporting small businesses.

Menchie's is amazing, especially the one in Bloomingdale. The owner is extremely kind and all the staff is friendly. For all the sampling options i can imagine it would get pretty messy but they keep this location spotless. I come here all the time with my boyfriend and today we came in for the Halloween flavors. Menchie's never disappoints and even has options "Togo" in a freezer. I had chocolate cream pie and vanilla snow, but brought home a quart of the harvest pumpkin froyo. I love Menchie's :)

I've been here a few times. They have rotating flavors, but you can no longer taste them beforehand, so you just gotta hope it's good. I usually go with more safe choices, rather than try something crazy because it's pretty expensive to not like the flavor. They have a lot of toppings to choose from: cookies, candies, cookie dough, sauces, etc. The prices are pretty high, so keep that in mind while you pile on your toppings as it's all by weight. The service has never been top notch, but the interaction is like 2 minutes at most. It's a small shop with a couple tables inside and a couple outside, as well.

I strongly suggest you train your employees on the ADA Laws!!! My blind daughter walked in to your store guided by her guide dog clearly wearing a harness with a sign "do not pet me I'm working" attached to the harness and the female employe/manager told her that her dog can't be in here because the sign on the door said NO DOGS. My daughter informed her that she was blind and that the dog was a service animal/guide dog. The manager then told my daughter that the dog had to leave because there is open food. My daughter informed her about the ADA law and how she was breaking the law. The manager running out of excuses claimed that dogs trigger her and again demanded that the guide dog had to leave. My daughter then asked for the manager and the female employee responded "I'm the manager". This form of discrimination is inexcusable!!!! Shame on You!!!

Such a good place. I was so excited to see that they had a low carb option. Not just one but two options! So delicious!! Thank you, Menchie's!!!

Food-4/5 The yogurt was very good. It was rich in taste and had the perfect sweetness to it. It wasn't watered down either. There were sample cups so that was a plus and they had a wide variety of topping. The yogurt was was already so sweet you didn't need much more toppings. ---What I didn't like was there was only one cup size which was pretty big so that added extra weight if you didn't want much. Also this yogurt was on the expensive side and I paid around $7 for mine. Service/Vibes- 4/5 FRESH FRUIT, it's awesome they have fresh fruit and you can see them cutting it right in front of you. Very clean and friendly environment, however the seating area was too small.

Cute and fun place. You make your own which I love. A few flavors were gone and a few came out of the machines like puddles but I'm assuming that they just needed more freeze time. Definitely tasty! Not a lot of seating here so families be ready to stand or take away. We don't go for ice cream much but if we do I'll probably check them out again. Their flavors probably change often so that's kind of cool.

5 stars for friendly & helpful staff, selection of yogurt, selection of toppings, location, and value. Try their new cookie butter yogurt--- Amazeballs!!! Skip their red velvet yogurt.

This place never disappoints!! Although this location is far from where I live it is the only frozen yogurt place that has my favorite flavor which is the original tart. It is really good and the employees are always friendly and helpful. I love how their varieties of toppings are always good and I have not once been let down by them since they always have my flavor! Love this location!

I enjoy the ice cream here, when they actually have flavors. Today we go in around 6:40 and again there's 4-6 flavors out. No worker to be seen. It's become a joke when we want to stop by because it seems like every time we come there's nothing really available because they're cleaning the machines. I like the low sugar and healthier options here as my son and hubby are diabetic, but if there's never anything they want to have it's a waste of time. And we don't come at the same time, but come various times in the afternoon and evening and it's the same thing.

We've lived in Carol stream for almost 3 years and have not tried menchies until recently! I had a taste for frozen yogurt, and I was googling red mango which was far, but then remembered seeing this that was relatively close. It is a fairly small space. There were about 6-8 different ice cream/ frozen yogurts available. There were also many different toppings that are pushed very close together. I'm used to these places being a little more spread out but it works. Fresh toppings, syrups available. Our two medium sized cups ended up being around 10 dollars. You never really know how much it will cost. I definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a new frozen yogurt place to try.

I love Menchie's HOWEVER, I went there tonight and the place was absolutely disgusting!!!! The floors were so sticky and visually dirty with spots of dried stickiness now covered in dirt- obviously not mopped up in hours. The fro yo dispensers had piles of fro yo underneath them melting away and dripping everywhere!! Multiple topping bins were either missing or empty. There were NO Reese's!!!! 8 people in line and not one employee in sight. Then the employee slowly emerged from the back. Are you serious??? Out. Of. Control. This is the dirtiest Menchies I have ever been to. I hope next time it is not so gross. If I didn't love Menchies so much I would have given fewer stars. Ohhhh and your employees cut the brownies into long bars..whattttt????

Love the yogurt but hate this location. It was filthy. 4 associates working and they were all chatting. Waited in front of the register while they socialized. Finally had to ask for someone ring me up. They acted like it was an inconvenience. Store wasn't busy. Just an awful experience. Will never go there again.

I went to Menchie's for the first time earlier this month and would definitely go back. My bf and I went around 9 or 10pm on a weekend, and everything was still very well-stocked and clean. There are a lot of options for the froyo flavors, and Menchie's has the most topping options of any froyo place I've been! I also like that they have patio seating. There was a fire pit that wasn't going, but it seems like that would add a cool touch too. The only reason I'm giving 4 instead of 5 stars - there was a woman getting froyo who must have known the cashier personally, and they carried on a very extended conversation so I was literally never spoken to by the cashier, including when they took my $$. She barely made eye contact with me or my bf as she continued talking to her friend. Hopefully this was just a one off as other reviews mention friendly service.

Not a bad place; I'd say it's on par with Red Mango as far as prices and selection. I tried the pineapple and strawberry flavors. Pineapple was very fake and I didn't care for it, but the strawberry was decent. My friend had the cake batter and I tried a bite of that which I liked. I think next time I'll stick with a vanilla base and add toppings. That tends to please my palate more.

I was excited to hear a new fro yo place was opening up close by. After today's visit, this place is my new top fav. They have a variety of flavors, toppings and sauces. Indoor and outdoor seating. Awesome customer service, and a clean, kid friendly ambiance. Free stickers and temporary tattoos for the little ones. Waffle cups or plan cups with adorable (and really comfortable to hold) spoons. Donate a dollar for a kids foundation and get some coupons. Will probably be visiting here pretty often with the fam. :)

Meh. I had such high hopes after reading all of my Yelp buddies' raving reviews! We went for the first time tonight (my first Menchie's visit; his first Menchie's visit at this locale) for a sweet treat and, while it hit the spot, I ended up feeling generally underwhelmed. There were 10-12 flavors - clean (i.e. tart, vanilla, peach, pineapple...) to indulgent (i.e. caramel, chocolate, mocha, latte, red velvet, hot cocoa). I got some hot cocoa and the vanilla-chocolate together. I like how the granola and candy toppings are packaged in separate containers and have their own little scoop holders. I also liked that they had a nice variety and some you don't normally find elsewhere - white chocolate chips, candy covered sunflower seeds... We didn't even notice all of the drizzles/syrups, though, until AFTER we'd paid and sat down due to the fact they were along the far side of the toppings bar. Whoops, too late: no Reeses syrup goodness for the boy. The spoons ARE cute and have a different.. texture (??) than your typical plastic spoon. The two teen girls working were friendly enough - they greeted us and put out sample cups sparingly. It was pretty empty (5 patrons) 1.5 hours until closing. I couldn't help but notice that while every table seemed to need a cleaning, the girls spent all of their time on their phone(s), talking to their guy friend, and filling up heaping bowls of froyo + toppings for themselves. (Lucky them.) Ahh, to be a teen worker bored with your job and mustering through til closing time. The one thing they DID do was start pulling a few flavors by 9pm. So, yeah... Definitely my least favorite of the three froyo places in the area. Oh well; glad to have tried it!

Good selection from pecan , red velvet , cake batter , cherry brownie and much more. Waffle cone is free of charge but it's all weighted at the end anyways so technically it's not free unless I'm missing something (less in cost maybe ?) Would go back. Various flavors and good consistency in taste. Nothing watered down and soggy. Great job

My daughters and I always have "Menchie Mondays" here and all of our visits have always been good ones. Very friendly staff, delicious flavors and it's always clean.

Brian was very nice and super helpful. My friend and I went in there and he was nothing but talkative and friendly the whole time. I'm definitely coming back because of him!

So, I am an avid Menchies lover. I have been a fan since frequently visiting their Schaumburg location and was so exited to hear this location opened since it is sooo close to my house! Yes! This is just like any other Menchies, though a little bit smaller. There is indoor and outdoor seating to help crowd flow. There are a variety of flavors and toppings. Our first time going was during their soft opening on Monday. My sister asked for a refill on the cheesecake topping, which ran out, and the manager quickly ran to the back and came back with a refill. He profusely apologized and said "thank you for your patience!". We literally only had to wait for a minute, and it wasn't a big deal; for him to go out of his way to do that, though, shows great customer service! They were also advertising that on the coming Saturday, they were having a free fro yo promotion as part of their grand opening celebration, until 6pm. We were excited, but then we realized we could not participate because we were fasting (for Ramadan) until 8:30 PM. I asked the manager quietly if he could honor the promotion for us until 8:30pm otherwise we would just come at 6PM, fill up our cups, and put it in our freezer until we could eat it. I seriously was expecting the latter option, but he said yes absolutely we will honor it and handed the owner's card to me. He said to tell him employees that the manager/owner sent you. I wanted to die. He was so sweet about it and so understanding! I followed up that Saturday, and yes, got my free fro yo at 9PM. The employee there was so nice, and we did not have any problems. This experience seriously made me a customer for life at this location! Thank you Menchies at Bloomingdale Court! We will be back soon!

We love Menchie's! Great flavors and their froyo is creamier than many other places. There is also a ton of topping options. We will definitely be going back!

Thanks to some show on Disney my daughter had been asking for frozen yogurt for about a week. We were out in the Carol Stream/Bloomingdale area so I figured we would try this place. The employees were very nice and explained to us the Menchie's way, since this was our first time there. I am not a fan of ice cream/frozen yogurt/gelato, etc so I stuck to a waffle cone, a smidgen of cake batter frozen yogurt and brownie bits and some hot fudge. The waffle cone and brownie were fantastic. My children on the other hand love frozen yogurt and filled up their cups and then topped them off with a bunch of goodies. The outside patio was filled so we had to eat inside. The tables inside could have been cleaner so had to wipe them off myself but other than that my children enjoyed their treat!

Amazing service, clean, plenty of flavors and toppings that are fresh! Cookies and cream and original are my favorite flavors, they don't taste artificial or too sugary which is great! Highly recommend!

ATTENTION IIFYM FAMILY!! Love coming to this place. The staff are really friendly. The place is clean. The only complain I have is I wish this location wasn't so small but I don't care enough to not come back. They have regular and big cups ( prefer big cups for toppings ). They also have waffle cup and sometimes dipped in chocolate yyuummmmm! No extra charge for those which is fabulous.i think it's .53 per oz. I do track my food and it's super easy do with Menchies locations. They tell you if it's low carb and how many calories per oz. more detailed online. What I usually do is weigh my froyo with their scale after I pick each flavor then separate my toppings. You can see the number they don't have to tell u each time u check. Just subtract .4oz for paper cups. I have gone to forever yogurt but I personally think Menchies has healthier choices and not so healthy ( for the hubby ).

I had a great time with my family on my bday here today! Got the red velvet. The brownies are delicious, especially in the chocolate dipped waffle cone. $4 well spent. Thanks Mom! Outdoor seating too. Great after the pool.

We've been going here since they opened and have noticed a steady decline in operations over the last year. Machines are continually out of service, the store is dirty (garbages overflowing, spills, etc) and there's just an overall lack of new and interesting flavors. I took my family this past Monday and over half the machines were down. We left and went to Oberweis. I'm not sure I'm willing to give this place another chance unless they turn things around.

Big name brands give Menchie's a familiar taste to it. To start off: the yogurt at Menchie's isn't the best. It's above average, though, which is good enough. I had salted caramel and some sort of coffee flavored one. I did like the Nutella-flavored yogurt. In addition I tried the chocolate flavored yogurt, and didn't like it. Menchie's, however, does have some familiar toppings. The chocolate rocks are there in spades, for example, but it's nice to have tiny Whoppers (malt balls) as an option. Likewise with Hershey's Cookies n' Cream, chocolate pebbles and Nutella syrup. Now these things will never taste as good as homemade, but if you're going to offer toppings, I'll accept the nod to familiarity as a positive. There are still way too many frozen yogurt places in the western suburbs (I'm pretty sure that fad died 2 years ago in the city) but sure, Menchie's can be part of the rotation.

Went here last Sunday with my 2 kids. There were 2 workers doing nothing while both garbage cans were overflowing and fruit bins empty. I think when we finished eating one of the girls decided to start sweeping while garbage cans were still full.

Great frozen yogurt, friendly staff. Five out of five! Their Toasted Marshmallow, Cake Batter, Carrot Cake Oreo® and Chocolate Gelato were absolutely delicious! Will return.

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!!!!! The girls that work there are absolutely fantastic!! Always smiling and happy to see customers! Never had a bad experience!!

Menchie's has my vote. Their frozen yogurt variety and topping selection is always awesome, service is friendly and quite honestly- I like their yogurt much better than other places'. Haven't gone to Peach Wave once since Menchie's opened up. Also- I love the patio area with the fire pit.

One wouldn't think that frozen yogurt would be that hard to get right but apparently it was... until I tried Menchie's. This place is sublime for adults and kids! 5 Stars for the yogurt - They make the best flavors that everyone forgets that they love, like cookie dough and cake mix, along with fantastic tasting fruit flavors. I have never run into an artificial tasting yogurt, which is what find at competitors. 5 Stars for their topping - They have an large and modern selection of toppings, then a cold bar of fresh toppings. 5 Stars for cleanliness and staff - The staff stay on top of everything, including customer accidents/spills. They have a great fire-pit on the outside seating area too! Nothing I've seen yet. beats Menchie's.

I got a free, no charge waffle cone. I paid for the fro yo...of corse. Out of all the fro yo places, Menchies is definitely my favorite. Great variety of flavors and fresh toppings.

Have really enjoyed their flavors in the past. Two were out and the tables, chairs, and floors were dirty, napkins lying around the floor everywhere. Two girls stood behind the register just chatting, seemed oblivious to the need to clean the place up! If I was the owner and walked in I would be FURIOUS.

Basically being run by unsupervised teenagers with their boyfriends pigging out on free frozen yogurt and candy. Floors are nasty and just saw the employee drop the spoons and put them in the container for customers to use. Seemed annoyed that we were there when she came from the back room swearing. Pathetic! We come there a lot and this is the second time I was disgusted and had to have my kids eat outside.

We showed up at 10:40 and they wouldn't let us in and said they were closed but they should've been open for another 20 minutes, bogus.

8/30/2019 Drive there on a Friday night around 9:30 (Open until 10) and the doors were locked. They were already closing everything down. Two other potential customers there wondering why there closed already. Wont be returning!

I always have a good experience when I come to this Menchie's location. It's always clean and has a good selection of flavors. My one gripe is that it doesn't always have enough seating. There are about two high-top tables and three regular tables inside. There's also a window bench where you can sit. Outside there are a few tables as well, but it does feel crowded once two or three tables fill up inside.

I showed up about 20 minutes before they were supposed to close and the workers were very rude and wouldn't serve us. Very unprofessional.

Best Fro Yo in the area. I'm a frequent Fro Yo eater and this place is by far the best. Cool atmosphere, waffle bowls, lots of flavors and mix ins, rewards program, and the workers have funny uniforms. You can't go wrong with menchies!

I have never had a problem with menchies in the past I come here all of the time and the people working have been nothing but nice. I decided to go with my friends on a thursday night so i'm not sure the people working but i had an awful experience. My friend tried to sample one of the frozen yogurts because she didn't realize that you couldn't sample anymore because of covid. The worker asked her not to sample and we apologized and asked if they don't allow samples anymore. The employee said "No there's a thing called covid". We were a little confused why she was annoyed with us because we were just asked a question. Then as my friend was checking out with her frozen yogurt the employee takes it and throws it in the garbage and says, "You dont get any because you had an attitude". This was the worst experience I have ever had at any place in my life. I have never seen more disrespect in my life.

Their fruit punch is still my favorite flavor but I love their ever changing flavors. They have a ton of different toppings and its make it yourself! So its up to you how much you want and what exactly you want. The staff is always soooo friendly and willing to answer any and all questions you may have. They even greet you as you enter and leave!

I have been wanting to try frozen yogurt for the longest time and found this shop while shopping one Saturday. I went inside to check it out and walked up to the counter telling the cashier it was my 1st time in a Menchies shop. She was super friendly and very excited to show me how it works and show me all the flavors. She explained how I can taste taste any flavors and where all the extras were. After sampling 4 flavors, I found the one I wanted. I love that you get to decide how much you want in your cup (you can even mix flavors!) and then choose what I would like to top it off with. It was YUMMY! My son joked that now he knows what to get me for Xmas this year, a gift card to Menchies. I hope Xmas comes early!!!

Good yogurt and nice clean store. I took my kids and grandkids today. So many in fact that I had to go through three times to pay. During those three separate times the cashier never said "thank you". She just took my money and gave me my change, three times. Very nice product but very poor customer service.

So happy this location opened. Closer than Schaumburg. Menchies is the best. Be sure to sign up for the rewards program. Just give a phone number. New flavors all the time.
