What can you say that does justice to the photographs you see of here. The stunning scenery and beautiful hotel speaks for themselves, but the incredible service, warmth and friendliness from the staff (Millan especially) is what truly makes this a special stay. Eat well, sleep well and drink well in this beautiful refuge in Basuqe.

It is a 2 stars hotel but very special, rooms are simple but clean and comfortable, the location is great for nature activities and calming from the daily city and life challenges. breakfast is excellent, Bar is good, the restaurant is also good. the owners and hotel team try to help in all aspects.

I slept in the hotel in July for an interview with Victor Arguinzoniz from the famous restaurant Asador Etxebarri. This little boutique hotel counts 11 rooms and is decorated with antique farm equipment. The ambiance is like Hansel and Gretel or Remy. You feel alone in the world surrounded by sheep and mountains. Wonderful experience. ||The owner is a young guy John, of 29, very sympathetic. Red carpets, good beds, beautiful bathroom, every room has a fabulous view. ||The restaurant has a wall of glass so you can enjoy the sun going down or coming up. The food is typical Bask, very very good, as is the breakfast. The winelist impressive with good Spanish wines. The service super friendly. I definitely go back to this amazing place. Wish John all the luck in the world. ||I slept for €120,- euro's a night.

Incredible stay here for a night. The staff are all incredibly friendly and beyond welcoming. We checked in prior to our lunch at Asador Etxebarri and they offered to hold our luggage for us. The scenery is incredible and the rooms have a beautiful rustic charm to them. I think this is the most comfortable bed we have had on our whole vacation and we really enjoyed our stay. We had an early departure and they even went out of their way to accomodate an early breakfast for us before departing. 15/10 - would stay again in a heartbeat.

Fantastic small hotel/Casa Rural in beautiful Basque countryside. The building is historic and very well rehabilitated and decorated, with large windows and beautiful views. Food is great and staff is super friendly. Highly recommend.

Very nice little hotel only 2 min walk from famous Asador Etxtebarri. Spectacular views. Cosy rooms with rural design. Very friendly staff. The breakfast was amazing. Quiet and charming location in the middle of the Basque mountains. Excellent breakfast and exquisite restaurant with local produce. Perfect for a stay or just for a visit to have a drink or a pintxo in the garden overlooking the valley.

If you're eating lunch at Etxebarri, this little hotel up the hill is an extremely convenient place to waddle back to afterwards, and spend the night. It's nothing fancy but has real character (wonderful old flagstones) and was, we thought, rather good value. Service is friendly. The village is a beautiful, tranquil place and there's a pleasant, well-tended path a short drive away along an old railway track, that's perfect for walking off your meal after your siesta!
