Had a wonderful lunch here. The Not so Fried Chicken (photo) and the Farm Club were delicious. Everyone was very friendly helpful with suggestions on what to eat and food was very fresh. The restaurant was clean and well maintained. (And I loved the decor with the blue cows.). They told us there is one coming soon to Austin. Can’t wait!

I was across the street at Top Drawer and I decided lunch was in order and I Saw this place and stopped in. I'm so glad i did! Jay C helped me and he recommended the Turkey Avo ( a little spicy) SOOO good! And he was so nice! They have guava lemonade. Guava is my FAVORITE flavor. And they have route 11 dill potato chips and they are absolutely the best. I'd recommend this place for the service alone. Good food, lots of flavor and plenty of seating.

We come here often, but haven't left a review yet! The staff is always super nice and welcoming, the food ofc is awesome that's why we come. Usually do the Peruvian Steak but tonight it's Chicken Parm sando! Writing this because Jose at the register is super friendly and awesome, and he's good at his job! As a restaurant manager myself, I really appreciate his work! My wife and I will be back

I'm reflecting on my visit here about a month back. My girlfriend and I rolled in looking a little worse for the wear after a long day of travel (well I did, anyway - she looked as perfect as ever 🙂). At some point as we were sitting and chatting waiting for our order to come out, a man who I believe to be a manager called out, brought our food over to the table and cast upon us a glowing radiance of energetic politeness and gentlemanly concern. This man bent over backwards to make us feel cared for as if we were guests in his own home. I honestly cannot recall the last time I experienced such selfless generosity and kindness at a restaurant, leading me to wonder if it's the best food service I've ever had. Thank you so much for completely elevating our day - it's exactly the antitode we needed! Oh, and the food is terrific. I've dined here a couple of times now and every bite is delicious. P.S., thank you for the cookies 🙂

It’s a beautifully decorated and clean spot, perfect for anyone looking for fresh and healthy meal options. The setup is simple: place your order at the counter, find a table, and your food is served to you. We tried the Mango Thai Salad, Avocado and Quinoa Superfood Ensalada, and a Kid’s Toast. All our plates were fresh, healthy, and filled with a variety of ingredients that made the meals enjoyable. I particularly loved the creative mix of ingredients in the salads—it added a unique touch to the dishes. The only thing I would have liked to see improved was the dressing; it could have been a bit tastier to elevate the overall flavors or more dressing options. Overall, it’s a great spot for those who appreciate healthy and fresh food. We’ll be back to try more of their menu!

I recently tried the Chicken Parm Dip at Mendocino Farms, and it exceeded all my expectations! The sandwich was perfectly crispy on the outside, with tender, juicy chicken inside, and the marinara and melted cheese added the perfect tangy richness. The accompanying dip was a great touch, making each bite even more indulgent. A special shoutout to **Jose**, who made our experience even better! He went above and beyond in helping us with our selection, ensuring we found exactly what we wanted. His friendly and attentive service really stood out, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Because of Jose, I'll definitely be coming back soon!

I think the Thai mango chicken salad is the best salad I’ve ever had. I like the atmosphere inside and our food came out quickly. There was adequate parking and the are feels very safe. We will definitely be going back to Mendocino Farms!

AMAZING! First time to try was today and it in no way disappointed! There were a couple of us so we got different sandwiches and all shared. The sides were great too! I loved the spicy curried couscous couscous! I definitely will be back!

Amazing Eats! Delicious!! Our server was very helpful and friendly. Excellent place to People watch if you're into the sort of thing. I saw a Robin Williams look alike. Very handsome ;-)

Disclaimer: I'm on a hunt for the best cafe to work from as I'm working remote. My review is based on factors for a good place to work from and not necessarily the coffee or food. Overall okay restaurant for work and food. Noise level - 70db loud conversations Wifi speed - 10 down 10 up (continue reading for more wifi tips here) Power plugs - around 10 Seats - 70 indoors 20 outdoors Parking - free plenty of lots My visit was on a busy Thursday lunchtime the service was great! The cashier and servers were so friendly and helpful. My food came within 15 minutes. The place is kept really clean and bright. My Peruvian Steak sandwich is really tasty although I'd like it to be bigger :P The Polestar Guest wifi is close enough to be used if the Mendocino Guest wifi doesn't work out but they are both as slow. :/

Great spot near the office. Thankfully there wasn't much of a wait during lunch hour and the restaurant was clean. I enjoyed the sandwich and the spicy sauce that comes with. I did not care for the chips as they were a bit too crunchy for me, I'll opt for the soup instead next time around. Service was great Caleb was friendly & informative when taking our order, we didn't wait to long for our food and our server was nice.

This certainly feels like a lunch spot. That being said, arriving after dinner hours may be the introvert hack?! Or maybe not! On my "after dinner hours visit," I was happy to find no line, and a smiling face ready to take my order. A few families filed in after I arrived, but even so, even with all of the kiddos, the place was pretty quiet, and honestly...spotless. It was really a happy sight seeing families enjoying a meal with their young kids, and kiddos munching on their kids menus items (I guess that's a testimate to their kids menu). Once I ordered my fix, my food took awhile to get together, but once prepared and bagged, it was brought to me personally, and I was off. I later found I was missing a soup I ordered, but otherwise everything looked pretty good. Tastewise, The chicken caprese was okay, but if I was to spend my money here, it'd be on the street corn chicken sandwich. The crunch and bit of acid and vinegar from the onions, spice from the corn and chicken, and a crisp but plushy sesame bun really set this sandwich off! I only wish it was available in a half sandwich, and that their combos included a drink. In short, is it delicious-yes! Is it affordable-meh, but I'd still splurge on that street corn chicken sandwich from time to time.

I heard about Mendocino Farms when they were a vendor at an event in my apartment complex so I've been waiting to check them out. I took a leisure stroll around Uptown Park after I left S+B and stumbled upon them so of course, I had to go in. It's very spacious in there, with plenty of seating, and the menu is right up front so you don't have to wait till you get the counter to decide what to get. I was impressed by all the vegetarian and vegan options so I went with the shroom Philly cheesesteak and it was delicious. They even had gluten free bread as an option for the cheesesteak. I sat outside to eat and take in some sun and it was great. The server brought my food out and the service overall was pleasant. I can't wait to go back knowing they are right around the corner from me. Plus there's plenty of parking.

I finally made it here for lunch last week and wanting a sandwich. Inside it's bright and open with an attractive interior. At the counter I ordered a new offering the Italian roast beef 1/2 sandwich combo with a cup of lemon chicken soup ($12). Adding a canned drink and tax made the total price $15.80. The food was ready in about 5 minutes. First, the soup had a rich full bodied flavor and was very good. The sandwich was served on a poppy seed roll and was equally delicious. It was fully dressed and the savory roast beef made me glad I ordered it. I expected a good meal here and got one. Mendocino Farms serves quality made food and I would be glad to return.

Customer service 10/10. I'm obsessed with the Sweet Peach & Goat Cheese salad. The flavors are immaculate. Ample parking is available. The menu is diverse for every dietary restriction possible which is a plus. I would definitely recommend.

You order at a counter sort of like at Panera/Pei Wei. They give you a QR code ticket & bring your food to you. The restaurant was clean and bright. We had salads...let me tell you, they were delicious! Now I want to try everything on the menu-it all looked good; it was hard to decide. A manager saw us studying the menu and came over to give some guidance and suggestions based on our likes - bravo!! All the staff we encountered was happy, super friendly and helpful. There was no "rushing". (TY!) Everything they suggested was delicious; service is quick and sound level perfect for conversations. It was a pleasant experience from the moment we walked. Definitely a service minded location. I wasn't sure if I wanted to try one of their specialty drinks at the time of my order, but later decided I did. So I went up to the counter with my cc to order, another manger said oh no - this one is on the house. How nice and RARE is that? I'm a fan! Check it out if you haven't. It's right across from The Rustic (also a cool place). Maybe I'll see you there bc I'll be frequenting this location often.

I do love their food but every time I order the farm club (which is supposed to have avocado on it as per the menu) the avocado is missing. It's really annoying.

After meal prepping all week, I often look forward to eating out and trying a new place. This week, I wanted something that wasn't a traditional "sit-down, waiter-service" restaurant. I picked Mendochino due to the amazing reviews on yelp and new I had to see if the hype was real. If you can't tell by the 5 stars- it absolutely is. The restaurant is clean and even has a chalk wall for kids to write on. There is a QR code on each table so you can tell them where you are once you sit down. You order at the front, so this is such a fun twist that I didn't expect. I wasn't sure what to try and the staff was SO helpful. I ordered the "not so fried" chicken and I also got a side drink. The sandwich was so full of flavor, I almost didn't expect it. I can see how this sandwich is so popular. I really enjoyed their collection of house made drinks and definitely recommend trying those at least once. Will definitely be back, this may become my regular "to-go" spot!

I love this place , you have to try the " not so fried chicken " sandwich. I was disappointed the they don't have the pesto pasta as a side anymore. I hope they bring that back .

I had been wanting to try this place for a while and I'm so glad I did. It's the PERFECT lunch spot. There's something for everyone here. I did get my meal to go and the food stayed warm during my 10 minute drive home. I ordered the 1/2 Turkey Avo Salsa Verde with a side of Summer Corn Chowder soup. I know what you're thinking, who eats soup in the middle of a Houston summer? Well, I do and I'm not ashamed. I didn't use the salsa verde for the sandwich...felt like it was fine without. The sandwich and soup both had amazing flavor. Last but not least, I got lemon cheesecake cookie. Oh my goodness! I'll be going back just for that cookie. Heaven in your mouth! I will definitely be back to dine in and try other things from the menu.

Healthy eats! Came here on a weekday evening and it was quite empty. Plenty of seating indoors. Can order via the kiosk or with a cashier. I got the Thai mango salad and it was quite filling! For protein it has cut up chicken breast and it was pretty tender. Thai almond dressing paired nicely with the entire salad and loved the freshness of the mango and the crunch of the almonds and veggies. Also liked the variety of fruit lemonades they had. The green lemonade was my fave, even has veggies in it. Parking - within the uptown plaza complimentary Overall very clean!

Terrible slow bad experience mediocre bland food and just an incompetent staff don't recommend

Love this place!! I am gluten free they hands down have the best sandwiches! The service is always great and the ambiance is nice! It does get very packed so I prefer to uber eats or pick up in store!

I am in love with this chain now. That not so fried chicken sandwich is everything other reviewers say it is and I can understand why it is a fan favorite. Good size but still not "messy" to eat. The right amount of crunch, decent amount of shaved chicken, and flavorful but still the taste of freshness in every bite. It is still a bit jarring not to have a soda option for the drink but the food is so good I am getting over that. The house lemonade is tart and tangy and lemony and delicious. I love the ambiance and there were plenty of tables and chairs, the place is sparking clean and every staffer we encountered was super friendly and helpful. High fives on reusable table ware. The plastic for the deli sides and the sauce is a necessity in my opinion but i like having a "real fork" and keeping a single use utensil out of a landfill when I dine here. And I will be back!! This one is close to my house.

Pretty good food. Creative sandwiches , and I really enjoy their gluten free bread and lovvve their turmeric and rose pomegranate lemonade. Yummers! I enjoy the chicken soup when is not made too thick. I'm still exploring the menu but overall pretty good. Kale rainbow sald is good too!

Pretty decent sandwich shop, prices is debatable as the portion wasn't too crazy for my peruvian steak sandwich. Sandwich was good my side of a potato salad was average and the side was small. I would go back for this same sandwich 7.4/10 Love yours, ExquisiteTasteBuds

This place is conveniently located in uptown park in the Galleria. It's a nicely lit, clean restaurant with quick and friendly service. We tried a few of their sandwiches and their pink beets salad. Everything was excellent. Their gluten free bread is delicious! I would totally come back again!

I have really mixed feelings about this place. When I walked in I was a little excited to try it, but then turned off by the long line and the fact that I had to scan a barcode at my table after I ordered at the counter. The tables were also pretty small and close together so not the best for wanting to talk to the person across from you if you don't want to have to also hear the conversations to your left and right. After the wrong person's food showed up, I was really questioning this whole process. My sandwich showed up, and it was good. However $15 for a sandwich with all this added complexity just didn't quite seem worth it. While I enjoyed the food, I don't know if I want to deal with the process for the large lunch rush again.

Margo C at the Galleria location is the best! She went out of her way to accommodate my special request. The food and atmosphere are great as well!

Expect to wait roughly 20 to 40 minutes after your estimated pick up time. Absolutely horrendous service for a $15 sandwich. Chic fil a is half the price and double the taste. Avoid this dump at all costs!

I recommend the "Not so fried" chicken sandwich. The sandwich is "Not so fried" because they use roasted chicken (not fried) topped with crunchy mystery bits to imitate a deep fried crunchy texture. It's a delicious alternative to the real deep fried stuff. As for the side, I recommend the curry couscous. Great curry flavor and texture. The person who was handing out the orders and cleaning tables was friendly. She checked on us a few times and offered to take away trash. The interior is nicely decorated, clean, and family friendly. The natural lighting and tall ceiling makes this place very warm and welcoming. I wish that for dine-in orders, the side dish would be served in a reusable bowl instead of disposable plastic. Same goes for the water cups. It felt a bit wasteful. Usually these type of crafty sandwich California origin restaurants are more earth conscience.

5-star service. One of the employees saw our kid and cut up some vegetables. It was a very sweet thought and made our night. Very consistent food quality and you can't go wrong with any sandwich.

Ambiance is very family friendly! Staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. And finally the food, it was honestly ok, not bad, but not great, like i had heard about. We tried a few different ones with different sides. Will i go back? Maybe, just to try something new.

Nothing but good things to say about Mendocino Farms! Food is made fresh, great healthy or healthy-ish options, excellent tasting, nothing not to like! This visit I got the chimichurri steak sandwich which was filled with peppers and greens, it was excellent!! The bread was great, the sauce was on point, the meat perfectly cooked. I always get the curry couscous as my side, it never fails my tastebuds, I could eat an entire bowl as my meal! I wish there were other locations in Houston, come to the northwest or west Houston! You'll definitely be a hit.

Food and service was great ~ not only was the food fresh, it's still something I would go back to have. I ordered the Thai salad and the Chimichurri sandwich and it was pretty good combo.

Their sandwiches are really good. They are just too expensive. $22 for a sandwich, drink, and tip is a bit excessive.

I love everything about this place. Everyone is warm and friendly. But, the food is Amazing! I am a die hard foodie, and stumbled upon this hidden gem, by the grace of God! Everything I've tried has been nutritious, with ROBUST flavors and textures! Like.. you'll tell your friends!

Enjoyed the heck out of the Thai Mango salad. I recommend to add avocado. Adds a level of creamy texture to the sweet from the mango and the flavor from the chicken. Great dish. Also have tried some of their sandwiches in the past, blanking on the names. If you're in the area, worth a visit. My only knock on them is the price point. For that salad I so enjoyed, spent right under $20. Eating well shouldn't have to cost an arm and a leg. Price point aside, nothing on the menu so far has turned me away.

If you want fresh food that you won't feel guilty about, this is the place for you! I always get the avocado quinoa salad & the farmers club sandwich. Perfect balance & the side of couscous is delicious!

I like mostly everything on the menu but i definitely recommend the banh mi and the chicken prosciutto sandwiches. Typically I go to traditional Vietnamese places for a banh mi but Mendocino's take on it is SO GOOD. The nuts on the chicken prosciutto sandwich are what make it so yummy for me because great blend of textures. If you're interested in a salad, go for the impossible taco salad or the avocado quinoa superfood with chicken added to it. I'm a meat eater myself but their impossible meat is delicious. If you want more textures, then the avocado quinoa superfood is great! The crunchies in there are delicious. I actually tried to make some for myself at home and I can't get it right! Whatever they're doing back there is magic. Don't forget the side of curried couscous!!

I love everything about this restaurant but the internal UBER service members drop the ball more often than most. Be sure to triple check your order before leaving; especially if it comes with a specific sauce.

This was my first time dining here for lunch with friends. I recently had surgery that severely limits what I can eat so I called ahead to ask about the menu and the general manager Drake was so gracious and accommodating. He offered to modify a couple of the menu options for me to work with my diet and I'm very grateful. Everything was delicious and I'll definitely be back again!

I love the salads and sandwiches here but I feel like the portion size has gotten smaller and they also increase the price on the salads too. Would say for 13 dollars with no protein you can al least give more greens...

First time with a friend and OMG I am hooked. As a vegetarian it's hard to find yummy options. MF had like 7 or 8. The food was bomb but the icing on the cake was the team, ESPECIALLY Margo. She literally made our day and I would come back just because of her. Will be back this weekend! Lol

This is a great spot to come grab a fresh sandwich or salad for lunch. The restaurant space is light and inviting with lots of seating both indoor and outside on the patio (shaded). I would say the food is a little on the higher-end side for a sandwich/salad; my sandwich and a fountain drink (no side) was just over $15. However, the sandwiches are stacked full of quality fresh ingredients so you get what you pay for here. I opted to try the seasonal Summer Street Corn and Chicken sandwich; the street corn added a nice smoky kick to sandwich and the chicken was well seasoned with spices. It was an interesting flavor combination that I have never enjoyed in sandwich form - it worked well!

We lovee Mendocino Farms! You can't go wrong with the Superfood Quinoa Salad, the Thai Salad or the Banh mi.

Went in for a quick bite on Saturday afternoon. The food was so good. I ordered The Modern Caesar along with the "Not So Fried" Chicken sandwich. Along with the food, Margo was such a joy to meet. She introduced herself and was very friendly! She asked how the food was and made sure I liked it! I'll be back to visit Mendocino Farms & hope to see Margo again!

I recently moved to Houston from Cali and decided to join yelp! I decided to swing in a few weeks ago because I've had their sandwiches before. This location is super cute and I love the vibe of this area. I grabbed the Not So Fried Chicken Sandwich & it was good but I wished it was hot! Also the potato salad tasted undercooked, overall I would try again... I must say the reviews about Margo C. are sooooo true, like WOW!!! Everyone was nice BUT as I stood in line to order and watched Margo personalize her greeting to each individual I was amazed! Her smile is so contagious, she's soo charismatic and skin glows like I've NEVER seen. Thank you for a great experience

I always enjoy this place. Specifically the chicken parm dip. I was debating between which soup to get and Margo was soo helpful and kind!! She let me have a small sample of each since I couldn't decide! Such great service and yummy food!
