Mendokoro Janomeya

"This ramen shop focuses on making soup using locally raised chickens. Its three signature flavours are soy sauce, dried sardines and white broth. Be sure to try the chicken ramen. To make the signature soup, dashi is drawn from chicken bones and whole chickens. A blend of several soy sauces is then used to deepen the flavour. The fragrance of the wheat is drawn out by using thin noodles. The ambience is reminiscent of the aristocratic culture of old Kyoto." - Michelin Inspector

You need to walk into a small lane to located it. Is at 2nd level. Their service is warm and we ordered a small bowl, there is a deduction of ¥50 deduction. The noodles are cooked bouncing. Michelin-starred restaurant - pure bliss! The ramen has 3 different types of meat. It is so tender and soft Can't wait to return and savor more!

The place gave off a homely and hangout kind of vibe making for quite the atmosphere. The service here was really nice and they were really polite and thorough. The food here is the best part with their most popular dish, the chicken and soy sauce broth ramen exceeding my expectations with its flavourful and balanced broth which was not too salty to drink afterwards. The ramen itself was not flimsy nor tough it is simply delicious and nostalgic. Overall, an incredible place worth looking into and dining in. I would be glad to eat in this place again.

the chicken broth IS AMAZING and so comforting 🤤 our giant family of 8 was rushing to find a place for dinner and we’re so thankful we randomly found this space. The waiter was so kind and the food was delicious! Noodles were perfect, meat was tender and the extra chicken karaage was yummy too 🔥

Go up the stairs to find the no-frill restaurant! Tried the chicken+soy and chicken+salt ramen. Both had simple but delicious flavours. The noodles were nice and chewy. We tacked on the pork rice and fried chicken for an extra 640JPY and really enjoyed the crispiness of the fried chicken. English menu available.

A cute restaurant with a relaxing atmosphere. The staff are polite and helpful. The English menu is available. I love the ramen with shoyu chicken soup. The noodles are small and chewy, and go well with the soup. It's a great value. I couldn't leave the restaurant without giving review. Cash only.

The ramen was amazing, had the chicken broth and it was so flavourfull, creamy and not so salty, the chicken karage was good crispy and umami, overall good and you should come here!

Good ramen, chicken bone broth. Egg was very good, best I've had, not sure what they do to it but it was almost sweet, great.
