Forgot to review this one but menehune shores was a beautiful condo to stay at while visiting Maui for our first time this was the sunny side of Maui to stay at after doing our research just beautiful views and we will be going back. Plus the Indian restaurant wonderful curry was outta this work.

We stayed here for over a week in late August. It was great for our 7 year old son. There is a rock wall built in the ocean that allowed us to feel comfortable with him swimming around. The room Was slightly dated, but we didn’t stay for the artwork..we stayed for the beach. We saw many turtles and it was a great place to wander up and down and explore the beaches. Would definitely recommend and can’t wait to book our next stay!

The place was covientantly located. This was our base for the entire island. It has a great pool with great views of the beach. Plus a short walk for a spot where sea turtles would hang out each morning. We saw several dozen each morning without going out of our way. I would gladly stay here again in the future.

Nice oceanfront condo with a great pool and wonderful sunset views from the balcony (unit 401). There’s a decent Indian restaurant on the ground floor which makes the stay even more convenient for anyone craving for Indian food in Maui.

The location by the beach is amazing!! It is literally just steps to the beach it is so close! The Little Rock arch is super nice for the little kiddos to break the waves. It is a sacred arch though so don’t go standing on it or messing with it (a turtle patrol lady warned people of that while we were there) and there are tonsss of sea turtles here too! You aren’t supposed to get within 20 feet of them but they come up on the rock wall all throughout the day, and they come up on the beach at night. We have stayed in once super awesome unit here, and one that was definitely not the greatest, so just look for one that is updated

Love our condo we rented this week #403. It overlooks the ocean from the patio. There's a great calm swimming area in front of the place with fish and turtles. Each unit is individually owned and kept up. Close to central life and many good restaurants. The sunsets are beautiful behind the hill.

We had an amazing stay at this place. It was very clean I feel like every time I got off the elevator somebody cleaned it before I got back on it again. It's nice talking with the locals that live there too and it's located at an ancient fish pond perfect for swimming, with lots of turtles to see.

We rented an Airbnb here and it was fabulous! The views are amazing! They do a really great job at the upkeep of this property. The grills and facilities are sparkling clean. Landscaping is beautiful. The pool is simple but nice. The location is great and we were able to get anywhere pretty easily from here (by car).

Yelp
Condo # 206- Horrible Shame on the Owner and Maui Property management group ! Review of Menehune Shores Resort Reviewed yesterday Absolutely would not recommend staying here! The photos of this rental did not represent the actual space! Over priced, out dated and unclean! Living room : Had to wash comforter from the second bedroom ( we didn't plan on using ) to cover the very worn sofa, just to relax! One of the two sitting chairs had ice cream or candy stains on the seat ! Kitchen: Was over stocked with unusable cookware- warped frying pans and no baking dishes! Sand flys invaded the counter probably due to the garbage disposal over due for service and the many cockroach traps screamed unwelcome guests would at some point appear! Washrooms : The bathtub was filty dirty and stained, I wouldn't wash my dog in it ! The cabinets were all worn and partial board, totally disgusting!I had to wash the standup shower, sinks and floors before even using! Not to mention the ratty worn out towels that were left to use were awful! Not a hand soap bar to be seen! Only 3 same sample bottle of shampoo, conditioner and body wash was complimentary! The Lanai.. Table and chair set was wobbly, totally garage ! And the not so cute birds that made a nest in the exterior light ( that did NOT work) which my husband had to remove because the property management group did nothing about that after contacting them! We did want to use the lanai to enjoy the beautiful sunsets due to bird poop being present ! so unsanitary! We were expecting a small refund but never did receive a dollar! Save yourself a headache and go elsewhere! So disappointing being our first trip to Maui on our 10th year Anniversary to have it tarnished by money hungry over represented property owners with matching management group! Shame on you all ! More Date of stay: February 2025

Yelp
This location cannot be beat! We are right on the ocean with a small beach behind a rock sea wall just steps from the building. We booked through VRBO and stayed 5 nights in unit 311 which has a great ocean view and the sunsets from the lanai are like no other. You might even see some honu (sea turtles) poke their heads up or flick a flipper just beyond the rocks. Most mornings, the local canoe clubs head out early and make a stop in this cove for their morning rituals. Like many condo buildings in Kihei, it is dated, but with good upkeep and maintenance. There are many pluses and some minuses, but again the view is the best. + Location: 20 min drive from Kahului airport and steps from the ocean. + Free parking: If there isn't a hang tag pass in your unit, request one at the lobby office that's open 9am-2pm. + Beach: Family friendly and easily accessible. Most of the lagoon is knee deep and you can wade up to waist deep all the way out to the rock sea wall. If you want waves, go past the rock wall to the other side of the beach. The sun peeks over the building mid-morning. + Pool: Very clean and well maintained. Saw the pool guy every morning skimming debris. 3-6 ft deep. Shower before swimming, Use the pool code to enter and exit. Open 8:30am-8:30pm + BBQ Grills: 3 gas grills by the entrance to the beach for residents use with 2 picnic tables. Saw the staff cleaning them every morning. Look in your unit's kitchen for BBQ tools. + Rooftop access: Another 4 gas grills up top with plenty of tables. Great for stargazing on clear nights. Open 7:30am- 9pm. + Monsoon Bar & Grill: Indian Restaurant right downstairs in the lobby with ocean views. Get the Mango Lassi, Garlic Naan, Samosas and Chicken Tandoori + Sunsets: Awesome Unit #311 + Keyless entry. Just remember your code. + Retrofit split AC unit, but only in the living room. Ceiling fans in LR & BR. + Spectrum Cable TV and WiFi. Password is on the TV. + Samsung 40" Smart HDTV in living room with Netflix login. Wall mounted 32" RCA TV in bedroom, but only has Roku you have to log in your own service. + Full Kitchen w/ microwave, dishwasher, full size refrigerator, electric stove, drip coffee maker & pop-up toaster + Clothes Washer & Dryer + Lanai with ocean view. Great to have breakfast and to watch the sunset in the afternoon - Dated furnishings - Shag carpeting from the 80's I haven't seen since college - Needs some new kitchen utensils - Beach chairs, umbrella & boogie boards have seen better days, but are free to use - AC compressor is out in the lanai, so blows hot air when on if you're sitting outside

Yelp
Room 225 - we booked through Air BnB and read the reviews and was looking forward to a nice condo. Let me start by saying it is a quiet location. It is right on the beach. There is a very nice view. And it's only about 15 minutes from the airport. Walking to the unit the kitchen and dining room area are fine. However the second bedroom and bathroom need a lot of work. The dresser is literally decaying and falling apart. The beds are not the most comfortable. And my biggest issue was the bathroom. The shower floor looks like it is completely filthy. It needs to be re-glazed. I got in with shower shoes on. You can also tell on the baseboards that the cleaning is subpar. There was hair on the wall. It appears that they updated the countertop but not the cabinetry. I did reach out to the host and let her know but I don't know how she's going to proceed. Also the towel rack that is shown in the photos is definitely not what is still up. You can tell that there's a lot of patchwork in the restrooms. The master bedroom dresser isn't quite as bad but should be replaced. You can't see the ocean from the bedroom. So that is very picturesque as well.

Yelp
I struggled with rating this place. The condos themselves are nice. They are right next to the Maui ocean center for humpback whales. There was a protected area for sea turtles. Turtles were present every morning. The rooftop area could be so much more than it currently is. No shade, a bit blah, and was often closed due to high winds. I would have liked to go up there to watch sunrise, but it wasn't open at that time. The unit we stayed in had been retrofitted with AC. The ac unit was on the lanai. It never shut off and it consistently blew hot air on you if you were on the lanai. The trade winds were unreal. They rattled interior doors not to even mention the rattling of the sliding glass door. They came in sometimes as early as 11 am and lasted until 5 or 6 pm. There was no way you could possibly enjoy sitting outside at those times. I go to Maui to be outside and this area is just too windy in June (at least while we were there anyway). I usually stay in south Kihei and the winds are not as bad in south Kihei.

Yelp
This review is for condo 121. We spent 10 nights, never long enough!! We were ground floor, 50 yards from sand and each. Breath taking sunsets from our lanai. This unit is completely stocked with everything you need from kitchen stuff to beach stuff. Washer and dryer in the unit makes it possible to pack less. Pool area is great , private beach, rooftop bbqs with 360 views. Kehei is a great and convenient city. Super restaurants, the Safeway is close by, as is foodland. Owners care about this place, it shows. Go there!

Yelp
The place is great for stayong several nights in Maui. They have a pool with a password lock door. And their own private beach that usually has a couple of Turtles on it in the morning. But the rooms have no AC so you have to rely on fans or the pool to keep you cool. And you have to get a parking permit from the office. Which closes around 2 ish. So you have to be there early!

Yelp
This review is for unit 207. After searching and weeding down our search for a rental condo for our 10 day stay on Maui with Jordan and Teagan we decided on unit 207 at Menehune Shores in Kihei. It had everything we were looking for in what appeared to be an ideal location for exploring Maui. As I sit here on the couch on day 10, our expectations were far exceeded. The complex is waterfront and has an immaculately kept pool. There is plenty of onsite parking and a friendly and hard working staff out there everyday keeping the grounds looking great. The unit is a two bed, two bath unit with a full, well equipped kitchen. The living room has plenty of comfortable seating for 4 as well as a tv and DVD player with a selection of movies. There are ceiling fans in each room but no AC. In July Maui can get hot, but open the doors and turn on the fans and the condo is quite comfortable. The view from the lanai is amazing and we spent time every morning looking out at the water and the mountains. Mike and Gay have also provided the condo with everything you need for a day at the beach, comfortable chairs, umbrellas, coolers, towels and toys for the little ones. Staying here felt more like borrowing a family members place than renting a condo from a stranger. Mike was great to work with and we had no issues, everything was clean and working perfectly during our stay. I would strongly recommend unit 207 if you are coming to Maui.

Yelp
I loved our stay here. We rented a two bedroom ground floor unit. The maintenance team always kept the property immaculate. The views are wonderful. The rooftop is clean and beautiful. It is in a great location. Great for families. Only complaint is the pool is pretty cold (mind you we went in Dec). Also you have to take stairs to the rooftop which is hard with a stroller. We will be back.

Yelp
Unit 412 We booked through AirBnB. The unit was impeccable and had the most wonderful view of the water and the sunsets. When I locked myself out of the unit the staff was incredible accommodating in helping me get back in. The evening after we did the Road to Hana Monsoon India in the lobby was a lifesaver. Unfortunately the pool was under construction for the majority of our stay, but the couple days we had with it was very nice. The private lagoon was a nice bonus to not have to pack up and drive to another beach, but we definitely visited nicer beaches close by. The beach to the south of the complex will forever be special as I asked my girlfriend to be my wife on the dunes at sunset, so our stay here will also be very special.

Yelp
Ha' I just walked into this resort to just ask if they had coffee . My son and husband were in the national humpback whale visitor center (next door). The woman on the desk was the most ridiculous receptionist/front desk person that I have ever met. I asked if they sold coffee. Then I asked her if she could recommend a place...she asked if I was a guest When I said no, my parents live in Kihei. I said that we Re visiting from brooklyn . she scoffed and then said "no there isn't any coffee around!?!" And then when I asked her further and she laughed at me. Finally she said that I could walk to the ABC which is a mile away. I went across the street to Kihei Resort. They didn't have coffee, or morning services for guests--but they were extremely polite, warm and showed aloha spirit . The suggested going across th street to M. Shores since they have a restaurant ... I said "no, I was just there, they were were so rude! " Menecheme Shores has a dark energy . I feel like I need a shamanic cleanse after that.

Yelp
Most units are very run down. Very expensive. Amazing views, right on the beach. Management will fix things within hours (disposal). So....we paid $350/day for a very run down ground floor amazing view. Saw a 3rd floor run down 2nd floor on hill view $200, varies a lot, BEWARE UNITS condition not really disclosed by the rental manager on behalf of the single condo owners. The grounds property manager does a cracker jack job landscaping, the barbecues are like new each day and the pool very clean - BEWARE NO JACCUZZI Most properties in Kihei are aged. THIS CONDO IS RIGHT ON A BABY BEACH PROTECTED BY A SEAWALL - this was the royal maui compound for 500 years, very historic.

Yelp
We found these condos listed on multiple websites, contacted one of the owners directly and made our reservations privately, paying thru PayPal (had we paid thru Trip Advisor the owner would have charged us the fee that TA charges them). Everything was just as advertised and worked out well. The oceanfront view alone was worth the rental for me, and our upper floor lanai was very private. The rooftop was the most beautiful setting I can imagine to BBQ our steak and fish! Being our first condo on our first visit to Maui, we were very satisfied with the location, grounds, and facility. Northern Kihei seemed centrally located between the southern beaches, the businesses of Kahalui, the Upcountry and the crater. We learned that the beaches generally get better as you head south to Wailea, which is where we spent much of our south shore time when we weren't on Mt Haleakala or in a helicopter. Although we appreciated our later Ka'anapali condo location even more and got a summer deal which cost less per night, this worked well for us and we would consider returning.

Yelp
Unit 607. Booking, communication, and getting into the condo upon arrival was easy. We stayed in April. Big pluses: Heated, clean pool with reasonable evening swim hours (doesn't close at dinnertime like some places we've stayed), safe swimming area, air conditioning (one of only a few in the complex), comfortable furniture, clean, decent supply of cooking staples (oil, salt, pepper, spices, coffee filters), beautiful views. Lots of towels and beach items. There is a decent supply of toiletries. A nice selection of books and a few games. Indian food restaurant onsite. Good water pressure and plenty of hot water in the showers. Close to shops and restaurants but wasn't overly noisy. The not so great: The Indian food restaurant on site had construction going while we were there but was still serving food. They advertised Sunday buffet, but wasn't actually open on the Sunday we were there. The wifi password in the guest book is wrong. A big deal for kids after sitting on an airplane for hours. The two twin beds in the second bedroom were supposed to be converted to a king. I'd emailed confirming this the week before our arrival because our teen is 6-ft tall and weighs 260. We put the twins together as a king, but had no king bedding. We left a mssg and someone came by the next day to make the bed with king sheets. They had no blankets except for the twins, and there was no foam or padding to cover the middle seam. Second, and really important, there is no bathtub as shown in pics and in the condo information sheet. This is a really big deal for a family with an autistic kid that needs baths. Luckily, the pool was heated and there is a hot tub so we got by without major meltdowns. The roller blinds in the master bedroom are broken and will not raise all the way, and not just a little, either. The window shades cover a good third of the window. When going out the bedroom sliding door, you have to duck down, and they inhibit the view greatly. The shades over the desk in the master bedroom are also broken and will not raise all the way which inhibits the beautiful view and makes opening the windows impossible. This is a really big deal! The curtains in the second bedroom are white and thin with no other blinds. Don't kid yourself and think the kids will stay asleep when the light comes flooding in with the sunrise. The kitchen sink faucet is put on at an angle instead of centered which kept throwing me when I'd turn the water on. Doesn't sound like a big deal but it was an irritant. The paper towel holder top is broken. There are mirrors EVERYWHERE! Do not think you can run from the bathroom into the bedroom with a towel around you because you will be caught in the mirrors in many angles. Yes,the mirrors are great for enhancing the views and making the smaller spaces bigger, but really, dial back on the mirrors. The parking lot's spaces are really small. We had a small SUV and had to park in the furthest spots many times because there wasn't enough room in closer available spots to open doors. There are no alarm clocks in either bedroom. No clocks, at all. Would we stay here again? Yes, if the blind situations were remedied and appropriate bedding are in condo.

Yelp
Enjoyed this place for my first time in Maui, hope to return to Maui and probably stay here again. We stayed from Thursday to Monday and never saw the Office open, maybe we left too early and arrived late in the day to see them open (Mon to Fri 9am - 1pm). Stayed in #406 and it was a nice two room two bed two bathroom place. Huge tv and a larger living room, kitchen & dining area. Great view of the beach.

Yelp
DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS MANAGEMENT COMPANY MENEHUNE RESERVATIONS! Terrible and untrustworthy management. Although the condo building and property were fine the management was terrible. They tried to pin a large cleaning fee for a dirty mattress that was already stained when we got there. They were completely uncooperative and unprofessional. I've stayed in Maui 5+ times at different condos and different property management companies with good experiences and this was note the case with Menehune Reservations!

Yelp
We love this place! It is very convenient location in Kihei. The entire staff is super friendly every time you come in contact with them. There is an amazing view from every room, some even better then others. Great safe place to swim in the ocean and see turtles every day. They have a super clean pool and grills right by the ocean. A huge shuffle board to play on in the grass. An amazing roof top deck with grills and the best view for sunsets. The only small complaints is in order to keep this place looking amazing is they are always doing something on the property that is super load. Which I'm sure is something you are going to encounter at in any well kept condominium. And both times we have stayed there, they had a water shut off for three hours. One was on check out morning, which was a bit inconvenient. The last one was a few days before check out, that one wasn't as inconvenient and it was promptly back on when they said it would be. I would still stay here again. They also have a Indian restaurant on the main level of the building. We have yet to go, but I've heard good things and they have a good yelp rating. They use to have an amazing view of the water and are currently remodeling, so I'm definitely going to have to check it out next time I'm there.

Yelp
This is a shithole, showed up to find a very run down, dirty unit. Smoke detector was on the counter with battery removed, shower door parts laying in the tub, behind the curtains were absolutely gross, no ac, although no mention of not having it in the unit listing. No one at the property to address issues, called management and was very rude and hung up on me. Finally spoke with him again and offered a full refund, supposedly reversed the charges but have a feeling it will be a hassle. Booked a very nice hotel by the airport at the last minute and was cheaper and 5000% nicer.

Yelp
A couple things you should know before booking here. They are 2 bed 2 bath condos, so one would think it would be ideal for 2 couples. And it may be if you don't have two cars. You are only allowed one car and the parking lot is tiny. On several occasions, after pulling in a spot, I could not open my door far enough to actually squeeze out. Also.. not all units are created equally. Ours, unit 106, although ideally located, was a DUMP. Filthy, outdated, roach and ant infested, DUMP! The furniture is filthy Salvation Army, there are no matching dishes in the kitchen and it's all crap. We pulled some plates out of the cupboard to eat some dinner and the second plate down had dried food on it. It was obvious it was never washed and just stuck in the cupboard. The carpet on the living room floor was filthy and pee stained. The bathtub stopper did not work so we couldn't bathe the kids (not that we really wanted to bathe them in the dirty rusty bathtub. The bathrooms are not vented, there is no A/C. The 1980's vintage ceiling fans do not move much air and the washer/dryer are old and tiny. The linens provided were dirty and old and the bed is uncomfortable. The toaster doesn't work. The refrigerator barely works. It's convenient being on the ground floor, however all the kids will be playing on the grass area just outside your bedroom window until late at night and again VERY early in the morning. You've been warned. Aloha.

Yelp
PRO'S We were guests at Menehune Shore for 6 nights. They keep the grounds and pool in beautiful condition always working on them day and into the evening. Our unit was #504, the unit was adequately stocked. Two Bedrooms & Two bathrooms, one bath had a shower with removable head for spraying off and the other had a bathtub for soaking or children. The living room had comfortable furniture, sofa and one chair. Dining room had a large glass table with 5 or 6 chairs. The kitchen is decorated with granite counter tops, stainless steel refer and it keeps everything very cold, Microwave, dishwasher, bowls, plates, glasses for all occasions coffee maker etc,. Bathroom's had towels & wash cloths and small toiletries. In the bedroom closet their were beach toys, chairs, boogie board and a cooler, very thoughtful. They also had a portable fan in the bedroom closet for those warmer nights. Both Bedrooms and Living/Dining room have ceiling fans as well. The unit was decorated modestly with a Hawaiian theme. Sliding glass door in the living room was clean. Newer Washer & Dryer in the hall closet, we used to wash our towels since we were supplied two towels in each bathroom for 6 nights. The Lanai was very comfortable with large glass table and iron rod chairs, beautiful view of the pool and ocean. This is a very nice unit. CON'S There were aprox, 10 people using the pool when they came down and said everyone had to leave the pool, because it was 8:30pm and its closing... What??? that's stupid. I've never heard of a pool closing at 8:30 pm it usually 10pm or 11pm. The management needs to think about extending the hours. I would of given a higher score if there was A/C in bedroom and a better mattress. When we first booked we booked a 1 bed 1 bath, for the two of us, but we needed A/C so they upgraded us to a two bed 2 bath with A/C. when we got to our unit the code they gave us to get in was the wrong code so it took about 45 minutes for them to figure out why the code wasn't working, but it was actually just a wrong code they gave us, no biggy. Normally its not 90 plus degrees in Hawaii in October the locals were telling us, it was unusually hot!!! so when we realized their wasn't A/C in the bedroom oh man it made for along night with no A/C so we decided to sleep on the hida bed in the living room since it was about 90 in the bedrooms, the wind coming in through the windows was really hot. We did sleep 2- nights on the bed in the bedroom and all I can say is upgrade the mattress PLEASE!!! No Wi Fi -they kept saying they tried it and its working, but I couldn't sign on so I have no idea why It didn't work for our iPhone's. I started finding cockroaches in the kitchen, I was planning to cook to save some money, but after cockroaches kept getting all over the food we realized we needed to put everything in the refer to keep the cockroaches off the food. geez I hate bugs. So between the A/C - Cockroaches - Wi Fi not working for us, and a Hida bed that feels like your sleeping on bowling balls. I would still stay again because of the pool and the 500 year old reef in front of the hotel makes for great swimming for children and swimming with the Turtles. We had a great vacation. I would like to suggest to the owners to get a new mattress and get rid of the cockroaches. It would be great if there was A/C in the bedroom. Aloha Keith & Lisa Johnson Vancouver WA

Yelp
This is the perfect vacation complex. We are traveling with our 8 month old baby and wanted somewhere with a heated pool, in unit washer/dryer, and beach access. This place has it all!! The grounds are beautiful. There's an awesome roof top bbq area where you can grill out and eat. We also were able to spot whales from the roof top. The beach area is very nice and perfect for a morning walk. Pool area is very clean and warm. There is an Indian restaurant on the grounds that's supposed to be good but we didn't try it. I would recommend this place every time and we can't wait to come back.

Yelp
We stayed in Unit 207. We loved the Menehune! It's a great place for families. The pool is great and there is awesome beach for kids right next door. Also, free parking for one car included with rental. The rooms are spacious and we had a great view of the ocean from our Lanai. The location is toward the Northern side of Kihei, but still not far from restaurants, grocery stores, etc. For families I would highly recommend Menehune Shores!

Yelp
Stay away! Absolutely disgusting! The room was filthy: The trash was full; The towels had been used and were hanging on the bathroom racks still wet; The bathrooms had sand and dirt (mud really) on the floors and carpets; The toilets had not been cleaned for some time and had poop stains in the bowls; The bathroom counters were wet with what appeared to be dirty, soapy goo (and remnants of soggy, dirty soap bars); The toilet bowls had poop streaks, the counters and furniture tables had sticky goo on them (spilled food and drink?). It is really too bad because the facility outside our room is impeccably maintained including the grounds, the pool, the parking lot, everything. WE have another five days here and it will take that long to clean as we go. Stay away.

Yelp
I found this place on craiglist. www.Lifesabeachmaui.com is the site. Totally awesome!!! Booked with the owner or affiliate and paid with paypal. The condo complex is in Kihei and is very well maintained. Great staff, but I didn't really even need them. Before you get there they give you the code to the condo your staying in. It was basically our own fully furnished condo for a week in Maui. It felt like I was at my house. Amazing balcony over the water with views of all the islands. Im sure in the winter you could probably see tons of whales, if the Japanese haven't killed them all already!! It was directly on the beach, newly renovated unit 617 awesome. Had this great bed that folded out in the living room, so we could leave the doors open and listen the waves all night. Perfect. Great beach outside, great pool at the complex. It does smell like curry from the indian restaurant that shares the building with it. If the Indian place would serve american food, they would make a killing, except there is no parking for the public, major problem!!!! Great view from the indian place, directly on the beach like five palms restaurant. The also had all these great rules not allowing kids to yell and scream and play marco-polo stupid games in the pool. It was nice and quiet!!!!Perfect!!!It was only like $160 per night. We totally want to go back. Check it out.

Yelp
We booked to stay at the Wailea condos but they put us at these condos which were cheaper and insisted that it was an upgrade. Austin, lying to your customers is completely unacceptable. We are in the sticks, far away from the rest of the bridal party. If you look online, it is NOT an upgrade. The managers keep insisting this is an upgrade. The phone call to hotels.com costed over 300 bucks and there was no resolution. The management told us because we've checked in their hands are tied. I'm horrified to think they expect us to be homeless in a foreign country while waiting the long weekend for them to get their acts together. The apartment was acceptable but kind of dirty & dingy in comparison to the other place we actually paid for. The deadlock doesn't work & there are kids running around at all hours. To make it worst there are rats in the courtyard. It is completely unacceptable that we paid for a nicer place & got displaced to a cheaper place & was lied to that this was an upgrade. A refund and an apology would have been acceptable but piles of lies. Cheating your customers of their money is also unacceptable. Hotels.com AND these management should be ashamed of themselves. If I could give them negative stars I would. Too bad there are no consumer protection like Australia.. They still insisted it was an upgrade.

Yelp
Great place to stay! Love the baby beach nearby. We would love to come here as often as we can ... so far it is only once a year ...

Yelp
Our family of six adults checked into Room 515 at Menehune Shores on December 14 for a nine night stay. From the initial contact with Ali Resorts months ago via email to the personal greeting as we knocked on the door we could not have asked for a better experience. The beautiful suite was spotlessly clean and surpassed our expectations with luxurious towels and bedding, starter items including dish soap and laundry soap, every kitchen utensil and appliance you could ask for, beach towels and chairs and even binoculars so that we could watch the whales breaching off our lanai. The attentiveness of the staff at Ali Resorts was greatly appreciated, they even touched based to ensure our vacation was perfect and were also available for our questions at any time. Thanks for a memorable experience. Mike and Cindy

Yelp
Wow! We stayed in Unit 604 which was amazing! The building is located next to the beach and has a swimming pool. The unit has two bedrooms that easily sleeps 4 people. The sunsets from the Lanai (balcony) were spectacular! It's air conditioned too which is nice. http://mauioceansidegetaway.com/ I would totally recommend staying here.

Yelp
My parents own two oceanfront units within this complex. It is just a beautiful location and we love coming to stay here! Very relaxing, view cannot be beat, and at least our units are beautifully maintained. My guess is that varies with some. I would highly recommend checking into these! Nice pool and small calm beach out front as well!

Yelp
I found this condo development using www.vrbo.com and then booked the specific condo through Jim Speth, who helps to rent out units at Menehune Shores. Jim was great, so easy to work with, and provided excellent information to assist in our week long stay. We stayed in unit # 210. It is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath oceanfront condo with an extra large lanai. The lanai is perfect during the day and also excellent for star gazing. Menehune Shores is centrally located in Kihei which was perfect for day trips to various parts of the island. The condo had everything we needed - a stocked kitchen, beach towels, a small cooler, patio furniture, and a washer/dryer. The condo and the development were well maintained and clean. The staff we encountered were very friendly. The condo does not have air conditioning but this was not a problem. as there were ceiling fans in every room and we keep the doors/windows open. I was completely satisfied, and I can't wait to return!
