"Menlo Grill, the restaurant inside the Stanford Park Hotel in Menlo Park, has temporarily closed for a rebrand. The owner is bringing in a new chef and bar manager, renaming the restaurant Menlo Tavern, and redesigning the space so the bar, dining room, and patio areas carry distinct atmospheres. When it reopens in January, Menlo Tavern will serve classic American food." - Janelle Bitker

special shoutout to Eliana, Martha (these ladies especially) Ana, and Oscar for making our dining experience exceptional always. They work so hard and deserve to be recognized! Just insanely delicious gourmet food with exceptional plating, attention to detail. Seriously compliments to the chef. I mean the food is just good! We come here all the time, everything’s fresh and gourmet , bread tastes freshly baked in house. Quality of the salmon is to die for. Quality of the coffee is incredible. I think what sets this place apart is the attention to detail and quality of the staff. Happy birthday Martha by the way ☺️. Thank you to all for always taking such great care of us.

We came for a friend's band. We were able to get seats nearby. We ordered dessert and drinks. My friends said their old fashion was perfect. The bread pudding with apples and vanilla gelato was great. Not too sweet and went well with lattes. Service was nice, the atmosphere cozy. It is a beautiful venue for a party.

The team at Menlo Park Tavern truly knows how to make every visit unforgettable! Whether you’re stopping by for a quick, exquisite beverage or settling in for a delicious meal, this spot is an absolute gem. Ron, the bartender, crafts drinks with such precision and creativity that each sip feels like an experience. Oscar, our server, was attentive, personable, and ensured every detail of our meal was perfect. And Marilyn, the manager, ties it all together with her warm, welcoming presence and seamless leadership. Their magical touch makes Menlo Park Tavern a standout destination for convenience and culinary excellence! Highly recommend!

I went here for breakfast having come here for lunch many times. I like that it was quiet and peaceful in the dining room, but it was early also. The coffee was great. I had the soft egg omelette with asparagus, but when the Bill came, I was a little surprised to see that the toast was six dollars. Didn’t toast used to come with breakfast? So I paid $40 for an egg basically and some coffee. A little pricey, but I like the place. I usually go for lunch out in their lovely courtyard.

The best burger in the Bay Area. Moreover, the ambience, attention, cuisine and ingredients make this the role model restaurant. Others would do well by coming, learning and trying to replicate, but it won’t be as good as Menlo Tavern. Simply the best.

Come here for the atmosphere and drinks (food was mostly forgettable). The outdoor dining was so pleasant and we loved the live music! Appetizers were decent, but main meals were just ok. Steak was overcooked. Sides for the braised beef were very heavy. Service was attentive and friendly. Would give 3.5 stars overall if possible.

I had dinner here for the first time. I wanted to check out the restaurant for a while, I’ve seen their marketing and knew about the renovation. The bar and restaurant look great. It’s a cozy atmosphere. The menu selection is narrow but seasonal. the cocktail list is nice and the ones we chose were good and nicely presented (Luna Roja & Lune d’esturgeon). For dinner, my husband and I shared the flatbread, the green goddess salad, the short rib and finished with the molten chocolate cake. Our favorite were the flatbread and molten chocolate cake. We were not too crazy about the pickled carrot and beets served with the short rib. We will come back to try breakfast.

Went in hoping for a nice chicken sandwich at lunch. Was severely disappointed and couldn't even finish half of the sandwich. The chicken was overcooked and the outside of it had some of the worst tasting breading, coupled with a sweet sauce that did not pair well. Didn't help the patrons in the restaurant were openly discussing racist topics and that might've soured the experience, but definitely way better to just grab a chicken sandwich at any fast food place, much cheaper and tastier.
