"Yuzu ramen became super popular at Afuri, a chain that's expanded a bunch in the US. At Menya, you won't have to deal with as big of crowds, and the yuzu ramen here is better than Afuri anyways. Unlike some of the heavier options on this list, Menya Hyottoko’s yuzu ramen proves that a lighter broth can be just as flavorful, with a strong citrus flavor lingering long after your last slurp. A whole bowl even leaves us feeling as refreshed as if we stepped out from a quick sauna session. Located on the basement floor just above Yurakucho station with only seven seats, the tiny shop is hard to spot, but just look for the line. A hidden gem! We were the only foreigners in queue among all locals. Waited for 15 or 20 minutes for a weekday lunch and it was a total worth. The yuzu ramen was just really special. Pork slices were tender and juicy. The shop was a tiny one at a corner so there wasn't really vibe and atmosphere to enjoy, just a typical small ramen shop with speed and great food.

This place was a bit hard to find if you only read English as the sign says Yokotcho Yokocho, not Menya. But once you do find it, you’re going to have the best ramen of your life! The yuzu taste is so mild yet fragrant and powerful. The pork was so tender. Would recommend this place!

Menya Hyottoko in Yurakucho Station is a fantastic spot for an authentic ramen experience. It’s tiny—only around 8 seats—so you order from a vending machine, wait for a seat at the counter, and eat quickly to make room for the next person. It’s especially popular during the evening commute, and when I visited there was a very long line. Totally worth it if you’re after a quick, no-fuss meal. The ramen was delicious, with a light but flavourful broth and perfectly cooked noodles. It was served incredibly hot—so hot I couldn’t finish it—but what I did eat was excellent. A great little find if you’re looking for something traditional and satisfying.

This place is the definition of fast service. Very efficiently run. They are specialized in clear soup yuzu ramen and expected to eat and go, so if u wanna have relaxing dinner it’s not a place to go. Perfect for solo dinner. Good simple ramen, if u like yuzu, u gonna love it.

In the basement floor and good atmosphere of classic Japanese shop. Only counter seats but it runs fast even if you are in the queue. Compared to tonkotsu, this soup is very light and simple, good to enjoy the sensitive Japanese broth. I recommend the menu with Yuzu which is very common citrus in Japan. Nice accent in the soup.

For those looking hidden gem, i recommend to try their Yuzu ramen. Its smooth, the pork also really soft. A good price for value. Although the place is quite small with limited seating, it's one of the charm of this places. Especially if you're looking for eating like local experiences.

This place is a go to if you want to try lighter shio base soup ramen. The yuzu ramen is worth the wait. Expect long queue as it’s a small place. The queue move fast. Start off by choosing what you want from the machine and then join the queue. Since it’s a small place, be prepared to not be able to sit with your group.
