Two Michelin-Star Mezzaluna Launches New Winter Menu

"Perched on the 65th floor of the lebua Hotel, Mezzaluna offers sky-high and breathtaking views. Toast to the high life at Sky Bar before settling in for a gastronomic journey. The accomplished chef and his team deliver European delights with Japanese precision in seven-course set menu, along with some surprises. The flavours are balanced and sophisticated, and the food is creative and technically precise. A wine list of substantial proportions and prices accompanies." Building on that promise, Chef Ryuki Kawasaki is currently presenting a winter seven-course menu priced from THB 6,500++ per person (excluding 10% service charge and 7% VAT), featuring Notsuke scallop carpaccio with kohlrabi, gray shrimp jelly and Beluga caviar; a choice between Magaki oyster confit with beetroot and Banyuls vinaigrette or veal sweetbread with glazed shiitake and Kyoto carrot; poached Maine lobster with green lentil bisque, shungiku and Morteau sausage; either sake-kasu–marinated Pacific cod with shirako custard or miso-grilled kinmedai with Jerusalem artichoke and mirugai; roasted Barbary duck with foie gras, barley, lily bulb and maitake; a main of Niigata Murakami Wagyu A5 grilled over binchō charcoal or Yezo sika deer with blackcurrant, red cabbage and poivrade; and desserts ranging from Koshihikari ice cream with fresh Corsican clementine pudding to 80% Markrin dark chocolate with roasted soba cha sablé; contact the restaurant for bookings." - Michelin Guide Thailand Editorial Team

This neighborhood eatery earns major points for being open every day of the week and serving a wide-ranging, delicious menu. Staff is welcoming and upbeat and the breakfasts, lunches and dinners all have kid-friendly alternatives. Among the options here are a downright delectable corned beef sandwich, an array of omelets, a host of fresh and healthy Mediterranean salads, and a surprising variety of seafood dishes. This is not your typical Jerusalem fare.

The attention to details is on point; they take you from presentation to taste to enjoyment. If food could make you fall in love, it would be served at Menza. However, kosherish is the most you can hope for. Each bite massages your taste buds and hunger into a satisfied experience. Satiation is complete at Menza.

We had a great family dinner. The food was tasty and reasonably priced, the house wine was excellent, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Lovely bar-ish restaurant that is open during Shabbat. Love the ambience and the staff were really nice. The food was fine. The ingredients in the starter (which was a special for the day) didn’t really pair that well. The fish kebab was pretty decent, and plus point for the fish being really tender and soft. However, the taste could be better. The casserole was the most tasty of all the dishes we tried! Loved the cabbage and the potatoes which added a really nice contrast to the whole dish.

I’ve been to this café many times and always loved the food and the menu. However, my last two visits were quite disappointing because of one very unfriendly waitress. At first, I thought she might have just been having a bad day, but it happened again — so perhaps the service has really changed. During one visit with my family, the waitress made us feel uncomfortable over a missing 1 NIS from the tip — it was probably just an oversight, but her reaction felt unnecessary and unpleasant. On another occasion, which was my birthday, I was sitting outside with my boyfriend when my friends surprised me with a small cake. After a while, the same waitress came over and said, “Hey, I don’t want to say it, but it’s not cool that you brought the cake from outside.” We had already ordered a full meal, two cocktails, and tea, and the place was almost empty. That comment really wasn’t needed and completely ruined what was supposed to be a happy evening.

Good food, including vegan dishes. Very friendly staff. Excellent location, in Jerusalem's city center. Great atmosphere, with students from the nearby arts college, artists, long-time visitors to Israel, and locals.

We had brunch here which they serve during the weekend. We ordered two versions of eggs Benedict which were just ok. The chef’s breakfast was a bit too lemony which didn’t blend well with the hollandais and bacon. The outdoor seating is quite nice. Hopefully their lunch and dinner menu is better.

Incredibly kind and english speaking staff, we got seated and served right away. The food was absolutely spectacular, stunning plating and full of flavour. Prices were reasonable; you really get your money's worth. 10/10 would recommend!!!
