I recently visited Meraki Greek Bistro in Williamsburg for a special birthday dinner and had a wonderful experience overall. The ambiance was quiet, intimate, with Greek charm. The staff were friendly and welcoming.
For appetizers, we started with the Crispy Fried Calamari, which was lightly battered and paired with a lemon aioli. Flavor-wise it was good, but slightly tough/rubbery, so I’d rate it 8.5/10.
For entrées, we ordered the Shrimp Skewer Platter and the Lamb Kabob Platter...both were a 10/10. The lamb was incredibly tender, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. The shrimp was also cooked just right and delicious. The French fries and tzatziki were spot on.
We ended with the Baklava, and I have to say, it was one of the best I’ve had in a long time. Not overly sweet, made with walnuts, and the texture was perfect. I would 100% order the Lamb Kabob and Baklava again.
They also have outdoor seating, which we didn’t take advantage of since it was cold, but it would be a great option in warmer weather. Next time, I’m definitely trying the Grilled Octopus. Highly recommend for a cozy, Greek dining experience in Williamsburg.
