Summary: high excellence (food and service) although a little pricey.
My wife and I ate here for the first time and were mightily impressed with the quality of the food. We are rather fussy, and my wife is Japanese and can be even fussier than me with fish!
The swordfish was cooked from fresh (I was informed that all the fish is cooked from fresh and not frozen) and I can say it was delicious. Just wish I'd ordered fries with the starting ordering, as this dish doesn't come any. Something to note for next time. Loved the accompanying simple sauce with capers.
The octopus starter was also delicious, and not chewy. Again, it was obviously cooked from fresh. Also, another delicious simple sauce. You can also have octopus as a main course (which I may do next time!!).
The lamb and chicken skewers were delicious. We are very fussy with lamb and it was just yum. Another win.
The place appears to be family run, and they are lovely folk who looked after us well.
The price was a little high, although I'd expect a high-ish price given the freshness and quality of the food. I'd recommend going for special occasions and the fish are the highlights. I'm looking forward to our next visit!
