Joe Wicks eat your bloody heart out, because these PE legends took the stairs in the Nike store. After tiring yourself—and your savings account—out, it’s time for a proper meal at Meraki. This Greek restaurant on Great Titchfield Street is a bit flash and a lot of fun. The atmosphere here is always 10/10 and importantly, so is the wine and the feta-packed courgette pasta. "Meraki is a big, bright Greek restaurant run by the people behind Zuma and Coya, but you wouldn’t know it. Things here are pretty relaxed. It’s a spot where you could eat with either your somewhat stress-inducing mother in law, your cool east London mates, or messy baby brother, without fuss. "The fun thing about Meraki is that if you do actually commit to fleeing the country you can hit up its spots in Riyadh or Mykonos. But you know what people say—Fitzrovia is the Mykonos of central London. Maybe. Kind of. OK, no one says that but this upmarket Greek restaurant will bring the sunshine via the medium of light crispy squid, an oh-so-rich hummus, and a signature courgette tzatziki that proves that Eau de Garlic will forever be the ultimate holiday scent. Be warned, the cocktails usually fall around the £18 mark but they’re essential if you’re in the mood for a paloma or are just trying to convince your mate that Soho is totally the Mykonos of London. "If you’ve given this friendship the same level of love and care you offer that poor cactus in your bathroom, then Meraki is the perfect place to create an aura of ‘Hi, sorry, I miss you’. We’re talking smile-inducing tzatziki, the crispiest of great crispy squids, and some of London’s all-time must-order lamb chops. A relaxed, feelgood restaurant in Fitzrovia, it’s the kind of place where a spicy paloma and some tuna tartare can easily turn into a four-course meal and a bottle of white from Santorini.
