"Visitors to Seville should carve out some time to browse the city’s food markets, including Triana’s. Tucked under the ancient Castillo de San Jorge, the market is bursting with sea creatures, local produce, and all things cured. Snag some fresh tomatoes, payoyo cheese, Iberian ham, and garlicky olives from one of the many vendors, and have yourself a riverside picnic." - Megan Lloyd

I absolutely loved this market! Since I discovered it, I visited every day during my stay in Sevilla. It is very charming, with historical ceramic tiles on all stalls. There are a lot of locals and some tourists too here, and there's a great variety of products, from vegetables, fruit and fish, spices, to some handmade products, and even a lot of restaurants where you can enjoy a bite while feeling the vibe of the place.

Initially founded in 1823 offering incredible stalls with the freshest meat/veg/seafood possible. I ate at stall 25 renowned for it's seafood. The owner explained his stall once belonging to his mother used to be a fish monger when it opened with the restoration of this market in 2001 along with 31 other fish mongers. Now there is just nine fishmongers left as he converted to a food stall 12 yrs ago. I had Langostinas and Lapas. Amazingly flavourful

Very animated and interesting local market. There’s air conditioning, it’s a good place to stop by especially in the hot days of Sevilla (you know what I mean, it’s so hot!) so you can sit and eat or drink inside.

Nice place with food and gifts, but no prices on vegetables, I bought tomato Rojo ($1.99/kg) and bananas ($3,25/kg) on “Fruteria Chaves”. My first visit was ok, we ate at stall 24, the fried fish and mushroom were good, the cod was ok. The second attempt to have a good fish lunch was a disaster because at stall 63 they served tasteless fish and it seemed to be a little raw in the middle. 3 hours later my partner become ill. My order was a mixed salad, which was good, and a tortilla with ramon, which wasn't so good because the ramon was fried and changed the flavor to very salty. The sangria was great with the chopped fruits.

Mercado de Triana, located in a beautiful traditional indoor market in Triana, is housed in an old building and offers a great combination of booths selling fish, meat, cheese, fruits, and vegetables alongside various food stalls. A special highlight for us was a booth offering homemade vermouth and skewers (pinchos) with olives and fish. Generally, the market is perfect for grabbing a bite and enjoying a glass of wine, sherry, or vermouth. The market is lively and busy, frequented by both locals and tourists. It’s an easy walk from the old town via the Puente de Isabel II bridge, making it a convenient and enjoyable destination for a taste of local culture and cuisine.

Not all stalls were open when we arrived at 11:45am but got a chance to order a vermouth and some tapas at Aceitunas y Vinos stall No 15; Fresh oysters at Ostras Champagne stall No 58; and got a chance to buy jamon iberico de bellota at stall No 64 J Alfredo.

Visiting places like this makes you sad that you're staying in a hotel! We'd've dearly loved to purchase some of this fresh and bountiful produce - take it back to a kitchen for some serious cooking! It's a lovely market. My top 3 markets in Spain after Valencia and Barcelona.
