Mexico City’s Public Markets Are in Danger of Disappearing | Eater

"Situated at a busy intersection in the trendy Condesa neighborhood, this market combines traditional stalls with urban amenities—one side houses a Café Toscano and outdoor seating while the rest sells standard market fare and prepared foods like tortas that remain far cheaper than nearby hip restaurants. Longtime vendors include a produce seller who has worked the market since the 1960s and now brings family help, reflecting generational continuity even as the surrounding area has gentrified and attracted more tourists and foreigners. The market’s Art Deco building and lively bustle testify to its historical role in the neighborhood, while the influx of visitors has had mixed effects: boosting some vendors' sales but reshaping the clientele." - Madeleine Wattenbarger

I had an absolutely lovely time here. Amazing serene surroundings, wonderful food (chilaquiles were to die for), delicious coffee, and friendly service. I’ll be coming back!

This is my favorite market in all of Mexico City. I love it so much. Go get a juice here or pick up fruit. It’s got great breakfast too!

The city is slowly beginning to reopen thankfully admist COVID-19. I visited today for breakfast and I had chorizo con huevos/queso and what I believe to be a liter of 100% juice. I paid 50 peso and couldn't be happier. Obviously because of the location the price is going to be a bit higher versus other locations, nonetheless it's open.

Small market, high expat prices. A few restaurants inside with good traditional plates and fresh juices and shakes.

Excellent location in the heart of condesa. You can get a really good breakfast on Saturdays and Sundays. I typically stop by to get my agua del dia. I highly recommend the green juice!
