The most exciting new MICHELIN Guide hotels for January 2022

"Poland’s second city, Kraków, is impossibly old and impossibly picturesque — so much so that it would arguably be a mistake for a luxury hotel to attempt to compete in the arena of historical splendor. Much more sensible for a hotel like the Mercure Kraków Fabryczna City to opt for a more contemporary, Modernist-influenced style, and leave the ancient opulence to the rest of the city." - Le Guide MICHELIN

Me and my family totally loved the place, it’s modern set up, loft kind of look, design, comfort and vibe. Staff was very friendly, warm and smiley, and highly professional overall, that is quite exceptional in Poland I would say. The junior suit os awesome choice for a family with kinds, 2 floors give space and most privacy feasible in one common space. The bars and restaurants sharing the same space with the hotel are creating the atmosphere you will definitely enjoy and miss afterwards! The pool and breakfast are beyond compliments, enjoyed every minute, literally! If you can afford that stay - seek no further!

The room was well appointed and generally comfortable , with the only slight frustration being the air-conditioning which could not be changed from heating the room (function locked on the panel) with 18C being warmer than I would usually chose to sleep at. The facilities were good and the gym excellent, though I remain confused as to how to use the lockers and actually returned to find that someone had been able to open the locker with my things in and add their belongings. The food it the restaurant was lovely, though as a vegetarian the choice was limited and I would have preferred for breakfast to have been available from 06:00

My room was ok, very nice designed. But most of the thing I look at the service and this was not good. At restaurant I waited to be served (after the breakfast, the restaurant was almost empty - just me and my friends me and the second table) 30 min and no one came up to us and asked so we leave and went for the coffee outside. Then we came to drink some juice (I was checking how long it would take) and only when I called the waiter, she came up to us, and unfortunately she was unpolite. She took the order but it was not nice to us. I think this type of hotel can devote some budget for the training of young people. The service is crucial in each of restaurant, hotel. The prices are so high in the hotel but service is 3 score only.

Mercure Hotel was absolutely amazing. Rooms were spacious, clean and completely new. Kids friendly, great staff. Only negative thing(not hotel related) Fact that we booked large room for 2 adults and 1 child(8 years old) and that we were informed that we can sleep all in one bed or for additional cost can have a extra bed for our daughter. This seems to be some new trend with Booking so be carefull when booking any hotel via Booking. This is not communicated properly. All in all amazing stay, food, staff, would definitely come back :)

Excellent hotel. Loved food, good size rooms, all provided in a room, modern, good prices. Downside only that you need to pay for the parking and as it’s out of the town centre you would need a car. Excellent staff at reception. We have been very nicely surprised upon our anniversary.

I really enjoyed my stay at Mercure. It is not close to the centre but it is close to the Offices in the new area of town and you can still walk to the centre in about 30-40mins or take a quick bolt car. The free gym is a nice bonus and I didn't fid it too busy even during the "busy times". The restaurant and breakfast seems a bit overpriced compared to the Krakow standards and the quality of food offered for breakfast wasn't exactly very high. Staff is always friendly and attentive. I would definitely come back on my next business trip to beautiful Krakow.

Big rooms, breakfast OK, good tram connection with town centre, staff very responsive, the only unexpected thing was that swimming pools are rented by swimming schools from 4pm-7pm ish which is the time you would go with your kids. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Very clean, big rooms, breakfast is so so good, I wanted to taste everything 😍 vegetables, cheese, meat, fish, salads, cornflakes, waffles, pancakes, a big choose of warm food, BEETROOT AND GRAPEFRUIT JUICES ARE DELICIOUS!!!! Location is far away from the center, but there is a big food court, cooking courses school, own brewery, Swimmingpool, saunas. Everybody will find what to do! the tram (number 14) stop is near by 16min away from the old town:) RECCOMEND !
