We recently dined at Mercury Chophouse in Arlington and overall had a good experience, though not one driven by the food itself.
The atmosphere is definitely a highlight. Located on the 9th floor, the restaurant offers nice views of the Arlington 360 and Six Flags area, which adds to the upscale, special-occasion feel. It’s a great setting for conversation, date night, or business dinners.
Our server, Jalen, was excellent—very attentive, personable, and engaging. The service and conversation truly elevated the evening and were among the best parts of our visit.
As for the food, however, it fell short of expectations. We ordered a variety of items including salad, steak, calamari, prawns, appetizers, and sea bass. While everything was prepared fine, nothing stood out in terms of flavor. Overall, the dishes were just okay—not bad, but not memorable or what you’d expect for a high-end chophouse.
Summary:
• Atmosphere & views: Great
• Service: Excellent
• Food quality & taste: Average
Mercury Chophouse is a solid choice if you’re looking for a nice ambiance, good service, and a pleasant evening with a view. However, if you’re someone who prioritizes exceptional flavor and top-tier food quality, this may not be the restaurant I’d recommend.
