Dallas’s Best Restaurants and Bars With Views | Eater Dallas

"Drive west for a night at a chophouse with sweeping views of Six Flags and AT&T Stadium — plus a lot of big Texas sky. As the sun sets, diners are treated to unblocked views in the evening. The restaurant serves a classic steakhouse menu, along with grilled pork chops and seafood dishes. Request a martini, shaken not stirred, and enjoy looking around the Metroplex while the in-house piano player tickles the keys." - Courtney E. Smith

Visit Dallas and found this restaurant while looking for a steak dinner. Menu wasn't anything excited but the food tasted great. Perfectly cooked steak. Wine was very expensive but also very good. Tiramisu not traditional but good. Brought two kids-server was not very kind to the family dynamic. Live piano music that was beautiful. Greta view of the sunset. Would return for another meal but hope for a different server

This was a quaint steakhouse in the heart of downtown Fort Worth. There was a small town feel that was evident between the patrons and staff. The staff were incredibly friendly and the live music was amazing- the atmosphere and staff made this a place worth visiting. The food was not as great- the quality was lacking and didn’t appear to match the descriptions on the menu. The filet was described as prime beef, but was incredibly gristly. The caprese salad listed basil, but had a basil pesto- no basil- the pesto and balsamic were delicious, but the rest of the ingredients were poor quality.

Mike and Trina were our servers, what an exceptional level of service they provided!! Wife had sea bass with mushroom risotto and asparagus, the most perfect sea bass we have ever had. I had the filet and shrimp surf and turf with mash potatoes with a pepper corn gravy. Honestly one of the best meals we have had in a very long time. Can’t wait to go back again. Went on a Friday night and they weren’t super busy. Food came out timely and hot which seems to be a challenge at some restaurants. We couldn’t have been happier with the meal and service. Hidden gem on the corner at Taylor and 4th street.

Absolutely incredible service! My wife and I took our friends out to celebrate a recent wedding and two birthdays. The experience was everything you could ask for from a high-end restaurant. The general manager was professional and kind, the waiters were attentive, and the food was prepared to perfection. At the end of the night the owner of the restaurant came down and introduced himself to the group and we got to talk for just a bit. Later that night my wife said it was like we were treated like royalty and I agree. This restaurant has heart and it goes far beyond five stars. We will definitely be back

My husband and I stumbled across the restaurant after walking around for a bit downtown. The server was amazing and the food was delicious. Best tomato basil soup we have had.

Our first visit to Mercury Chophouse in Ft Worth was on Valentine's. The restaurant was busy but the wait staff did not miss a step. The food & service were excellent. Save room for dessert!! The only thing they could have improved on was the music, it would have been nice to have someone at the piano on such a romantic evening.

The atmosphere and service is outstanding. However the quality of food is horrible. This is my 4th time eating at this restaurant in Fort Worth (and it keeps getting worse). Whomever the owner is, may I suggest to double check the ordering process when it comes to the quality of food, and check to see to conditions the food is being kept in, because the quality is no longer there. There were barely anyone customers in the restaurant tonight, and apparently this is normal for the Fort Worth restaurant. That's not good at all. I spent over $180 to not enjoy any of my food tonight 29 March, 2025, at 7:30pm. Would the owner, please feel free to email me back. I'm not asking for a refund, I just need to find out what is going on with the food quality. From the Moroccon Cigers as the appetizer which tasted old and full of salt. To main entree which was the special that night, Lolli pop lamb chops which tasted like the lamb chops had been around past the expiration date (tasted old). The asparagus tasted sour which was a side to the lamb chops. I was afraid to send anything back to the kitchen. On the restaurants web site, I think the restaurant orders premium beef. However how long is the restaurant hold on to the premium beef in the kitchen coolers/freezers because the freshness taste left a long time ago. The baked potato was disappointing (tasted old). All that food I ordered to include dessert (chocolate cake filled with chocolate moose) tasted old.

Stepping inside this restaurant you are greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere. Mike and his fellow staff are highly attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and specials served daily. They provided excellent recommendations along with their friendly and professional demeanor that makes you feel like family. We ordered the Escargot, Chilean Sea bass & Swordfish, paired with a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc. The chef's attention to plating and use of fresh, high-quality ingredients are evident in every dish. If you are looking for an extraordinary dining experience, this restaurant is highly recommended.

Yelp
Food and Service were incredible and what a view. First, the ambiance was fantastic, the view was incredible, with live music (singer was great), hostess/greater was incredibly nice. I can't say enough good things about this place. The service was impeccable and my server (Ricardo) was fantastic. He upsold every darn thing he could on the menu and I was glad I listened. The chefs were firing on all cylinders for sure. All his recommendation: The maple old fashion (8 out of 10), the Cesar Salad (8/10), the Sea Bass-imperial style (10 out of 10), and the Creme brûlée (10/10). The only thing I picked was my wine which he okayed after I ordered it, haha. It paired beautifully with the dish. I showed up wanting a steak with some mushrooms. Nothing crazy but that is what I went in there in mind to order. After Ricardo mentioned the Sea Bass and how it is served the Imperial way (with Crab meat and shrimp), I went back and forth with that and the steak for a bit. But I am very glad I went with the sea bass. WOW, the buttery lemon sauce that came with it, the risotto, the asparagus. This is truly a sleeper meal at this steak house. I am typically not one to get anything at a steak house other than a steak but he spoke so highly of it I had to give it a try. The only issue is, if I go back to Mercury I don't know if I would get a steak or stick with this. The Cesar Salad was good, fresh parmesan on top light dressing, house made croutons. A nice easy well done salad. Fish was buttery, fell apart perfectly and melted in your mouth with a slight crisp on the outside, the crab meat was a beautiful combo and paired excellent. The shrimp were explosive with flavor, don't know of a better way to say that, just delicious. The Crème brulee, was delicious. The right amount of sweetness in the crust paired with the warmth and the coolness of the custard, it was a great way to end the meal. Even though I was stuffed, Ricardo insisted I try it and I ate the whole damn thing. Easily one of the best meal's I've had in a very long time. So good I had to write a review and I haven't done this in a very long time. The Restaurant General Manager on duty this evening was Kevin, and I asked to speak with him due to the fact I just really enjoyed the whole experience. He was lovely and we spent a few minutes discussing the meal and experience and led into a bit of small talk, he was great. He has done a great job with his team and the place as a whole. Very Very well done! I will be absolutely sure to be back next time I am in Dallas. BRAVO Mercury Chophouse. -Solo Customer, Eric

Yelp
What an experience! Great stakes and vibe! Service is top notch (Mike). The barattender is very patient and accommodating. The restaurant is clean and the food is delicious ! Definitely worth it for a special occasion.

Yelp
Gross. Don't recommend. Smells like old people. Staff was nice. Food was way way way not worth the price

Yelp
We dined at Mercury Chop House for DFW restaurant week with some friends recently. The food was excellent! From beginning to end, all enjoyed their dishes. The service and ambiance is what takes my review down a star. Our server, Mike was MIA for a long time. We never got our second round of drinks. The floor was covered in dirt and crumbs. The bathroom needs help as well. All of those things can be fixed. :)

Yelp
I recently went to this restaurant with my leadership team from work and I really enjoyed my meal. This restaurant was unique, It was really dark inside and the menus were huge for how reason. I got a good laugh out of it with my team. We had calamari as a starter and it was not good, it was a bit too chewy for my liking. I ordered the salmon entree with mashed potatoes and cream spinach. I absolutely loved it! It was cooked perfect and tasted delicious to me. My coworkers ordered the braised short rib and did not enjoy it. They said they were cooked too long and the food was bland. The drinks were just ok, I ordered an espresso martini and it was not bad but I would recommend ordering something that you normally get that's not on their cocktail drink menu. Overall, I would say that this restaurant is good for a couples dinner date but I would choose another place if coming with a larger party.

Yelp
Alright so lets talk about it-- So I took my wife here for her birthday after another restaurant in the area at last minute canceled our 7pm reservation and unexpectedly closed for the night. When I first walked in to Mercury Chop house, I was a little concerned by how empty it was at 7pm on a Friday night, that being said, overall we walked out very pleased. Now, this very well may just be a situation of low expectations being pleasantly surpassed but at the end of the day I think this place has a ton of potential. Okay so here is everything we ordered: -Calamari -Caesar Salad -Wedge Salad -Braised Short ribs -Lamb Shank -Cream Spinach side -Mushroom side - & 4 cocktails Totaling: $225 before tip Overall, we very much enjoyed the salads and thought the entrees were well prepared. Would have liked to see more hot appetizers options, the calamari was slightly overcooked and chewy and instead of being served with marinara or dipping sauce, it was served with a tomato risotto that was not very good. Also, they served fresh bread that was very good but we were not served this until we received our salads. In my opinion this would have been much better served after we ordered our initial cocktails and we're waiting on our appetizer I would give this place a try, just go in with an open mind. This place has a ton of potential and could easily be a great restaurant!

Yelp
We were greeted warmly at the door by the owner and had a delicious steak dinner in a classy atmosphere. The service was excellent. Can't ask for much more than that.

Yelp
Stopped in for dinner with a long time friend to catch up on all the lost time. Very nice atmosphere and we were greeted immediately upon walking through the doors. We were greeted again at our table by the bartender for a drink order and soon after fresh warm bread and butter was served. Our server Mike came not long after and went over the evening specials with us. He had a huge smile and was very attentive the entire evening. Even after we sat for a few hours after paying the bill. I decided on the Chilean sea bass which came accompanied with cheddar risotto and asparagus. The fish was light and flaky and very enjoyable. My friend enjoy the filet mignon with mashed potatoes and a veggie. I definitely wanted dessert and enjoyed the apple cobbler. It had a warm caramel sauce drizzled all over it and the walnuts were plentiful. The crust wasn't as flaky as I like but still had great flavor. I will definitely stop back in for date night as they had live music which filled the space beautifully all evening.

Yelp
I'm sorry but I just wasn't super impressed with this place. It was good, don't get me wrong but I do a lot of fine dining and it was just middle of the road good. Definitely not 50$ steak good. The mac and cheese was bland. The braised mushrooms were delicious but the steak was just okay. Excellent service and cool vibe but for the price I felt like the food could've been much better.

Yelp
Elegant enough looking and high enough priced to be in the running for steakhouse choices in downtown Fort Worth. The trouble is the attitude and quality of service was terrible. Beyond slow, several messed up orders in our party, and a general rudeness. We were three couples sitting together and asked in advance if our checks could be separate and we would order as couples to keep it simple. The server gave a frown of disgust and then said, "I can do it, but it will mean 10 minutes more of my time for each of the checks so just might not make your seats at the theatre." Mind you, we were there at 5:00 for a 7:30 show a 5-minute walk away. We said we understood and she was true to her word, delivering all three checks together and then picking them up each 10 minutes apart, filling her time between simply talking to other servers. The drinks were overpriced for the quality. A standout bad item ordered was a terrible beet salad (where's the beet, would be appropriate. For my personal meal, I had the black pepper crusted tuna mignon. That is what I ordered, but a filet mignon was delivered. I pointed that out and she argued with me. Everyone at the table said they heard me say tuna clearly and she said something under her breath and walked away taking the steak with her. She eventually brought the tuna which was so pepper covered and crusted you could not taste the tuna at all. Of course, when the bill came it was for the filet mignon and a charge for the asparagus that was supposed to come with the tuna. I pointed that out and she redid it changing to the tuna on the bill but still charging for the asparagus. A third bill required. Several others in our group had a fish special that they said was not good at all, and the couple of steaks were overdone. Then, to top it all off, a 20% gratuity was added automatically to each check for rude, slow and mismanaged service and less than average food.

Yelp
Meh. Instant bad vibe when we walked into the restaurant. It was hot. Not sure if the air conditioning was broken or not. It was clear they were short-staffed. After the long wait, we felt the need to order appetizers and meal at the same time. My husband's steak was mediocre at best. The Brussels sprouts we ordered were burnt. I had sea scallops with mushroom risotto and the cream sauce was overwhelming. We quickly requested the check and left. The entire experience was disappointing.

Yelp
Private Party in the basement. Extra cute venue. Everything was delicious! Caesar salad, filet mignon, and strawberry shortcake! My husband enjoyed his chopped salad, chicken cordon bleu, and chocolate mousse! Highly recommend!

Yelp
The host was very pleasant. I was dining alone and decided to take a seat at the bar top SN; This place is apparently located below a high rise. The crowd seemed VERY familiar with one another making it it awkward at times. The service just ok... In my honest opinion the experience was a little disappointing. Although, the food was beautifully plated it was merely flavorless not to mention the asparagus was what I considered to be soggy *which I did send back after being asked by the host's my thoughts on the dish and noticing how I moved them* SN: just so you know I'm not making this up the.... Whoever Mark and Chelsea sitting out on the patio throwing back free drinks are you might want to slow down so your paying customers can have a more enjoyable experience in the future. One for the perfectly crafted cocktail! One for the mushroom ricotta/host's hospitality

Yelp
I want to preface this review with this...I have been to this restaurant several times in the past for birthdays, anniversaries, etc... and have always enjoyed the food and the service from Michael (who always seems to be our waiter). But, last night was not a good experience. Upon entering the restaurant, there was a bad, sulfur type smell. The hostess did not greet us, nor was she particularly friendly. We had a 6:30 reservation and we were seated at a table near the bar, not ideal, but not a deal breaker. Anyways, my husband and two adult children were treating me to a nice dinner for Mother's Day since I work on Sundays. We sat at the table for a good ten minutes before anyone approached with menus or to see if we wanted to look at the wine menu. I ordered a drink, but my family stuck with water and the woman seemed visibly disappointed by this fact. The drink was brought and there was a chip in the lip of the glass. A replacement was brought, but not menus. Meanwhile, Michael seemed to be waiting on every other table in the restaurant, but not us. Eventually, the bartender approached and we ordered our food. Bread was brought and our water glasses were refilled promptly. So kudos, to that woman. Food arrived. We had to request knives to cut (Filet Mignon and Lamb shank). My plate was missing asparagus, but it was impossible to flag anyone down, so I just let it go. No one got our plates when we were finished. Or another drink. Eventually, Michael came over and got our dessert order and he was very kind. Said they were down two staff members. The manager/owner was seated at the bar and he didn't lift a finger to assist anyone. The only time he directed anyone to our table was when the credit card was out and we didn't have our bill. I usually really like this place, but last night left a bad taste in my mouth.

Yelp
Went to Mercury Chophouse Downtown Fort Worth, 525 Taylor Street for a surprise Thanksgiving (2024) dinner, 4pm. It was the worst experience and meal ever! We walked in an were not immediately greeted. The owner was sitting at the bar, politely arose from his seat to sit us at table. The restaurant was empty. A server eventually came over to the table to bring us menus, but never came back until the owner told her to get over to the table. She did come over to get drinks sweet tea and wine. when I got a tea refill, I told her the tea was not, she wanted to argue and said it was, but it wasn't. Not ok. Another server came over to tell us the specials and take our order. Now for the food part and a $200.00 bill! The Filet Mignon was under cooked, bleeding on the plate. It was supposed to be medium well, it was medium rare and tough and chewy! I tried to eat it and to attempt to have an enjoyable meal without sending the steak back, i just couldn't. Steak was sent back, butterflied and burnt. They did not charge for the undercooked, then burnt steak. We also got the Salmon and scallops. The scallops we chewy and gummy. When this was explained to the owner, he said jokingly "I will fire the chef", no apology! He just whisked the steak away. So much for a Thanksgiving Surprise. I was surprised alright.

Yelp
We ordered fillet mignon and lamb shank. The steak came out good just the way I asked medium not bloody and it tasted good but the shank was Horrible! I am a cook my self and when I came to places such as steak houses I am looking forward to get amazed. The lamb shank was cold, really dry and tasteless! So was the mash potatoes Honestly, I make lamb shank all the time in my instapot and it's really hard to mess it up. I'm not a fan of Adding salt and pepper to my food the Chef should have done it I suspected they cooked the shanks in a batch and then freeze it for later that's what it tasted like to me. I am paying $42 for this and that's what we get ?! I want to like this place but sorry

Lori S.

Yelp
Expected a lot more. Loved the restaurant design, location, and the music in the bar. Food wasn't that special. All four of us thought of ways our dishes could be improved.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I had a great meal here for our date night. We started with the Moroccan cigars which were good but might have been a tad too heavy given the rest of the meal. We shared the 10oz steak that was cooked to perfection, medium rare plus. It came with mashed potatoes and we also ordered the potatoes au gratin, which I highly recommend. To top it off, we shared a piece of cheesecake. No regrets! They also have a nice wine list by the glass or bottle. The service was top notch and they also had live entertainment with a piano player. Overall it was a wonderful evening and we will be back!
google avatar

Brittney H.

Yelp
Great restaurant for a date night. The ambience was exactly what I was looking for. Low lighting, live music but not too loud. The music was actually perfect--the songs the musician and the instruments were perfect! I really liked the mashed potatoes and short ribs. The breading on the pecan chicken kept falling off, which was kind of annoying. The macaroni was pretty good, it tasted rich and thick and creamy. The drink was not that good and too expensive to "test" out more. Overall, it was a great dining experience.

Yelp
Thank your for opening your doors to Fort Worth police officers in Thanksgiving Day. The FWPOA is proud to partner with Mercury Chophouse to buy hundreds of meals for officers and civilian staff.

Yelp
Kinda of a mixed review here. Loved the locals vibe but maybe it was at the expense of a one off visitor. Food, pricing and service was solid. Wait staff Trina was spot on and clearly a pro at her craft. She was 5 Star. Owner was kind and friendly, but yet had a sense attention was on the regulars and not "the others". That being said filet, Brussels and salad were awesome. I would return and I guess that would make me a regular..so yes! See you again soon

Yelp
I made a reservation to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday. I told the host my name and that I made a reservation. Since it was slow, they didn't bother checking why we were coming or check my name off a list. They just kinda let us pick where we wanted to sit. Inside is small but intimate. Very clean and sophisticated look. One side has live music, we chose to sit away from the music on the opposite side of the bar. Our server was attentive. She was quiet, calm, and nice. She told us the specials and made recommendations. We both ordered, a wine, starter salad, and then our entrees. He had a steak and I got a filet mignon. The meats were delicious but I wasn't a fan of the potatoes. I ordered an extra side of Mac and cheese. Their macaroni was very yummy! The experience was great. Would come back for dinner but not a celebration.

Yelp
I went here for my boyfriends work dinner! His boss Kindly paid for us all! We came on a Wednesday night at 6:30pm. Parking is actually not that bad, you can try to find a parking space on the side surrounding the restaurants (parallel parking) or park in the near by garage for free during certain hours. The inside is actually small, but they make it work. The inside is sophisticated, they have a nice bar and sometimes a pianist is there playing their beautiful piano for anyone. We sat at pretty big table of about 15. The waiters were attentive and made sure our water and wine was always full!! We ordered the meat egg roll and calamari for appetizers and that was pretty good! Generous amount of meat in the egg roll, and the calamari was tender and not too chewy. My boyfriend ordered the filet mignon which he said was delicious but Eddie vs steak was better. I had the LOBSTER & it was a good size and was so juicy!! It came with delicious seasoned steam vegetables and a creamy potato purée. The sides, the Brussels sprouts, omg! It was in some kind of sauce and it was delicious!!! His Co worker had the jalapeño grits and said it was AMAZING! We also enjoyed our dessert, the strawberry shortcake was huge! And not to sweet. The banana bread pudding was more bread and so we didn't really like that. Overall I can't wait to be back! Great service and delicious food, fair price'

Yelp
We stopped by for dinner for the first time and we were immediately greeted at the front door. The ambience was nice and the food was very pleasant. Our waiter was Mike and he was amazing, truly the best service we've had and we really enjoyed the small talk. We will definitely be coming back and hoping to see Mike again.

Jenn H.

Yelp
Don't get me wrong...the food and atmosphere were great. However, I can't get past what happened with the service. Let's start with the host that we stood in front of for an extended period of time without any recognition as he was distracted by his cell phone! I already expected more from an upscale restaurant that was carefully chosen to celebrate my birthday! What followed this intro has baffled us for days in which I am still trying to put into words. Our waiter displayed the upmost representation of this restaurant...until he never even hesitated to ask if we would like anything else to drink besides from the drink menu. By the time my boyfriend started to look over his shoulder and ask the waiter for sweet tea - he was already gone. That's right, he didn't even address us from the side of the table. Just reached around to remove the drink menu as we had decided on something else. So we sat there with water...our entire dinner. Never was anything offered again. OH BUT WAIT -- IT GETS BETTER!! But not really...So we exchange polite conversation about the dismissive behavior and it's odd nature, just to be quickly approached by a wait staff member on her way by to say, "I just have one question." "Do you have puppies?" I'm sorry...what?! You interrupted my conversation to ask if we have puppies. After a hesitant and puzzled reply of, "nnnooo" from my boyfriend; this woman removes his lamb shank bone off of the bread plate before leaving our table!!! Only to turn back and swiftly remove MY lamb shank bone OFF OF THE PLATE I WAS NOT FINISHED EATING FROM!!!! She didn't ask for permission...she didn't wait for the plates to arrive in the kitchen after we were finished...much less have gloves on as she snatched our bones! Who Does That!!! At any restaurant Who Does That???? Am I wrong for being offended and discussed for being so disrespected?? I am still so baffled that I am in disbelief that any of this would be considered acceptable behavior especially at such a nice establishment. Needless to say we won't be back, but it doesn't seem that they would be disappointed about that anyway. I hope your puppies enjoyed our lamb shank bones lady!!

Cecily M.

Yelp
Terrible service! Rude waitress with an attitude! Steak was COLD but the creamed spinach was decent and hot and the Brussel sprouts were hot too and delicious. My husband ordered the scallops and they were barely warm will not be back

Yelp
Went here with friends on a fri night. Parking was easy next door at the tower garage which is free on weekends. The ambiance inside was what you would expect at an old steakhouse. Bar seats looked very comfortable. I ordered the escargot which was ok. The mozzarella salad did not have basil leaves but a paste. Good but unusual. The New York steak with blue cheese was cooked perfectly. The mashed potatoes were fantastic. We got a side of mac and Cheese and it was ok. Not cheesy enough for me. Everything was paired with a bottle of Jutin cab. For dessert it was lava cake. A great way to end the meal. My friends liked this place better than Eddie Vs. I would have put it right behind. Cannot wait to go back. The menu has so many good options.
google avatar

Dj H.

Yelp
I did not have a steak so maybe it's my fault! I had sea scallops. If you LOVE salt order them. BTW, mine were suppose to be blackened. Appetizer sucked. Calamari ... very tough & chewy. The butter had a ton of salt on it. Added! I am known for seasoning my food a lot & even I thought it was crazy with the salt. My husband loved his sea bass so they get two stars. The only thing I enjoyed was my martini & the bread. Service was average to below average. Had to work to get their attention for simple stuff.

Yelp
Our server was nice but super overwhelmed. We got the feeling that it might be family run business so I think they did the best that they could on Christmas Day. The food is OK... It's not the best. The steak is decent and the cocktails are OK. The coffee is nonexistent lol, the atmosphere is good-

Yelp
Food was good, service was not great, very inattentive. Food was brought out by kitchen and we were never checked on again. I never received a steak knife for my. Filet, and the pepper mill was out of pepper. Food was cleared before we were finished. Probably won't be back.

Yelp

Yelp
This was the best tenderloin filet I've had in a long time; it's a high-end clubby fun atmosphere. The service was great. My Mojito for dessert was quite good, even the bread came in three delicious types. Recommended for a great meal out.

Tom J.

Yelp
Food was very good. Very understaffed. Forgot our salads. The table we sat at had a small gap between the wall and the table (end of restaurant between two columns). The people who bused the tables used that small area to walk through each time, interrupting our dinner numerous times (10 - 15). The waiter was kind enough to tell the bussers not to go through there but they continued to do so. Would be OK if we were sitting at a McDonalds but spending over $190.00 for the two of us on Christmas Dinner, that wasn't OK. I rarely complain but this was very irritating.

Yelp
Went here for a birthday dinner. Loved it! Very romantic and intimate. Mike (from Morocco) was our server and he was fantastic and very fun to talk to!! He was very attentive to all of our needs. Would and will definitely go back to this place!

Yelp
I absolutely loved this restaurant. Yes the decor is dated BUT it's like stepping into another time period where the act of dining is an art. From the specials to the regular menu you can find something for anyone in your party. There wasn't a morsel left on any plate. Our waiter , Milo, offered several wine pairings for each persons meal and even offered to let us try them first. We couldn't ask for a better meal or way to end our day.

Yelp
Huge miss for FW fine dining. I've been to the Arlington location many times and it's always been a superb experience. The food at the FW location was fantastic, atmosphere overall was nice, and we enjoyed the musician. Other than the good food and live music, the experience at the two locations couldn't have been more different. From the warm martini, being seated across from the cleaning supply storage area as our view, to the unhelpful wait staff, and apathetic manager, we won't be going back. I usually give places a second chance but with that near empty restaurant and little effort to make it right, there are way too many other great places to eat in DFW!

My friends and I just went here and we thought it was delicious! Very fancy and the food and service was great.

Yelp
Dinner was ok but on a Friday at 10:00 they started clanking silverware next to our table and asked 5 times between ten and 10:30 if we were ready to go then began vacuuming next to our table. Then flashed the lights at 10:35 .. embarrassing and not becoming of a chop house.

Yelp
They last minute accommodated 25 people on a Saturday night and still had amazing service, food and drinks. I got the filet mignon Oscar style. It was delicious, one of the best steaks I've ever had

Yelp
My husband and I have gone to this restaurant many times. The food never disappoints. The staff is very friendly and attentive but never hovers around. It's a great atmosphere. The chairs are especially comfy. Don't ask me how they manage that, whether dead of winter or heat of summer, the air is always comfortable. You'll love Mike who is a waiter there. Honestly all the staff are great.

Yelp
Everything was amazing at the start, but began to fade.. Excellent Capris Salad (tomato mozzarella salad with fresh basil and balsamic reduction), they even split a single order onto two separate plates. Absolutely an amazing deal for $15. We ordered the entree 'pan seared scallops' for $39 as an appetizer. You get three scallops, one was rubber, therefore not cooked right, and a riscotto. The riscotto that came with this entree was amazing. Our main course was an 8 oz filet ($39) and a 10oz ($48) filet. They were absolutely not the correct weight. The 10oz weighed in at 7oz and the 8oz weighed in at 6.2oz (rounded up to the nearest tenth of an oz). We both ordered medium rare. The '10oz' came out rare, but was edible. The '8oz' came out RAW. Their 'fix' was to refire the filet..... Came out darker, rare and charred in the outside. The plate was also exceedingly hot, which means they put it on a warmer. Not a fine dining experience and not representative of the price demanded. They were served with essentially mashed potatoes, entirely too much butter was used for them. Next to the potatos was the sam flower that was on the scallops. Plate gets a 0/10, it looked very boring and empty. filet taste was 0/10, they have to be cooked to order, the first time. Potatos taste 1/10, too much butter. Flower, 0/10, why are you putting flowers on the dish... Texas Roadhouse can cook a steak the weighs as advertised, correctly to order for $20 with two edible sides. The dessert was creme brûlée. 0/10 for texture and standard. 5/10 for looks. 4/10 for taste. This restaurant has a lot of learning to so, as far as steakhouses go, this is not better than texas roadhouse. You have to be able to cook a steak correctly and not serve it raw. You also can absolutely not refire a steak that has been cut in half. This restaurant demands far too high of a price for its steaks. the cook, or chief, still needs plenty of training for consistency.

Yelp
I was invited to a dinner at the MCH the other night and I wish I had more positive feedback offer. The Caesar salad I started with was good but not outstanding. The NY strip was another story. Despite the fact the steak was cooked MR as ordered it was dry an indication that marbling was not present and to make matters worse if salt and pepper were applied they fell off before it got to me. Service was present but it required you get their attention before the approached the table. Shy staff? There are plenty of good steakhouses in the DFW area, this just is not one of them.

Yelp
This was my second attempt of redemption at MC. I went for restaurant week 2 years ago and was not impressed but a friend requested we give it another shot. We arrived at 7:30pm (10 women) and were shocked we were about one of four tables during a popular dinner time. Our severs were great, very attentive and answered all of our questions. The issue came during our actual meal when 3 of us ending up having to send our food back because it was over cooked. We asked for medium rare and were all served WELL DONE steaks. For a steakhouse, this seems quite outlandish. Once again our servers swooped into the rescue and return with our new plates. However this time our steaks were all RAW. The inside wasn't warm at all and beyond bloody. After a 3rd attempt my steak personally was still rubbery and not edible due to the tough tendon. And it was still not properly cooked. The cut of steak was very cheap and not what you would expect from a place that advertises serving the best cuts of steak. Honestly the bread and salad were the best courses. We started until almost 10pm drinking and enjoying each other's company and maybe saw 2-3 other tables. The restaurant was also SILENT. Even with piano music you felt like you needed to whisper in this establishment. The ONLY saving grace of this place is the waitstaff and bartenders. They did they best within their control and were very attentive to our group. I'm truthfully surprised this restaurant is still open, and hope they can get it together soon.

Yelp
What an absolute treasure to find in downtown Fort Worth!!! We decided to try this restaurant last night and are so glad we did. From the time we walked in we were greeted with a smile, shown to our table and were taken very good care of. The food was excellent, the best steak I have had in a restaurant in a long time, great selection of wines and other beverages. We have found our new favorite restaurant and would highly recommend it to everyone...

Yelp
My experience here was a true train-wreck. My mom made reservations here on a Friday night for 7:45 pm. Upon entrance, the restaurant was very empty (should have been a warning sign). The waiter didn't even ask for our party name at entrance, but assumed we were with a larger group and guided us to the wrong table. After confusion, we were seated at our proper table. Although alcohol was addressed fairly quickly, we weren't handed actual food menus until I got up and searched for them myself, after about 20 minutes of being seated. This set the trend for the terrible service we would receive the whole evening. Our waiter was confused the whole evening. The wait times continued. We ended up sitting in the restaurant for a total of 2.5 hours. The food didn't come out for 1.5 hours. It was frustrating, especially since there were hardly any people in there to begin with. The food was a mess in itself: -The quality of my tuna mignon was very poor, and the fish wasn't cold or hot....it was merely room temperature with a cool interior. I had to ask the waiter to take it back to the kitchen because the texture and temperature were not edible. The chef's solution was to toss it in tons of oil (not preferable) and saute it up. The new tuna dish was now way overcooked and dry. Huh. -The steak came out 15 minutes late for one of our dinner guests. Our waiter apologized that the chef had overcooked it the first time and had to try again. After a 20 minute wait, the waiter brought out a swordfish steak instead of the beef. Oops! Nice try, wrong dish. -Which, speaking of swordfish, was bland. Nothing impressive about this dish. It is hard not to laugh about the whole disaster of a dinner experience, but the money spent to compensate for the meals is simply not funny. In a nutshell, this was an overpriced meal with lower than low service, cold food, and a table of frustrated guests. Never eating here again, and highly advise all guests to save money and steer clear.

Yelp
I love this place. We go for lunch often. The meatloaf is my favorite (and I don't even like meatloaf). The club and pork chop are also excellent. If you go for supper the mushroom risotto was fabulous. The staff is excellent and always there with a smile to brighten your day.

Yelp
Had a 9 pm reservation on New Years Eve. We got there and there was barely standing room. No hostess in sight. I commented about how packed it was and a lady turned around and said... "good luck, we had a reservation 2 hours ago and we've still been standing". A guy who appeared to be a manger came out and called a couples name and joked saying "you just won the lottery". Considering I was hungry I didn't find it funny. I decided to use the restroom before we going to head out and I heard a lady say "I'm disappointed, this is not how I expected my New Year's Eve to turn out". There was only a handful of tables that actually had anything other than water on their table. Honestly it looked like a nice restaurant and maybe will will go back... on a Monday! Surly not a holiday. Needless to say, I went hungry.

Yelp
This was a very disappointing Christmas dining experience. We have eaten at this location several times before and never had an issue, so I did have something to compare it to. We had a reservation for 6 and I thought this would ensure prompt service. It seemed that it took longer to get seated because my mother was in a wheelchair. When they finally seated us, it was in the back corner by the kitchen. It was unbearably cold, we made mention to the waitress Trina, and it was not addressed. It was so cold my husband left the table in his coat to go stand by the pizza oven at the front door to get warm and my mom and her husband ordered hot tea to stay warm. We did enjoy the beef cigars and were hopeful that the rest of the meal would be, but it went completely downhill. Secondly, the service was very slow. This considering 4 of the 6 people at the table ordered the "Christmas Specials" incidentally there was nothing special about them. The Prime Rib was cold which was ordered by 2 people. We did mention it about one of the plates and Trina snatched the plate and said she would get the manager. When the plate was returned by the manager, it was warm, but an unnecessary comment was made, "medium rare Prime Rib is never warm", which is not true. 2 of us ordered steaks. Mine was delivered cold and I ordered it medium, hers was ordered medium and hers was delivered rare. My asparagus was cold, the only warm thing I received was the potatoes au gratin as a side dish. All requests were received as a bother, and with rude rebuff, so after the Prime Rib debacle we just ate what we were given trying to make the best of a bad meal. I have never felt so ignored or disregarded as I did at this dinner. We had Christmas dinner at the Arlington location last year and it was fantastic. Unfortunately, I will not return to the downtown location ever again, and I will not recommend it to anyone. This was a poor experience call me crazy but for $600 ticket I really expected more.

Yelp
Went here without checking Yelp first. Big mistake. Steak was just okay. Mashed potatoes tasted like instant potatoes with terrible after taste. Mac and cheese was ok but not great. Waste of $75 and an hour of my time.
