We had a wonderful time this weekend. We came for our anniversary with our dogs and we’re looking for a dog friendly winery. Everyone was so kind and friendly and we had such a wonderful time. It was such a relaxing day and we went home with several wines that are delicious! We will definitely come back. Thanks, Mercury!

Google
If Jesus drank this wine, he would turn it back to water! I can only assume by the other reviews that these people are just friends and not wine drinkers! This "Wine store?" does not grow any of there grapes, which means they have no control over the MOST important part about the wine! They just buy the cheapest grape left overs and pass it on to you at a Premium! I believe the "EXPERT" lol wine maker Brad who loves the sound of his own voice, use to be a salesman a minute ago, maybe used cars? The Lady that works there deserves an academy award for RBF with a personality to match! The Best part of this place is the Brother? Grady who is just a delight! Genuinely amazing nice person and one hell of a salesman, I almost bought some of this sludge because hes so nice! Do yourself a favor, Miss this place and go to Costco for a 4 dollar bottle!

Eric (Tennis Elbow)

Google
My wife and I stopped in on Saturday, not expecting a totally fantastic wine experience in the lovely little town of Geyserville. The brothers knew their wines, knew the palate, got my wife to drink a Syrah, and got to meet the puppy! Looking forward to when the weather is nice and the awesome outdoor space comes alive. I regret that they only have 5 stars, would have given 10. Great spot, great people, had a great time. Eric Tilson

Google
Really surprised how good these wines are! They created bold and interesting flavor pallets. This is not a typical winery. I did not expect to add myself to their membership list but after this great experience I could not see any reason not to. Come try it for yourself you will be surprised by this experience! Update: I was a member of quite a few wineries before I recently moved to Europe, I only am keeping two memberships and this is one of them. Brad the owner while always super busy is a great guy who will make time for you even though he shouldn't, he is a hard worker! Go Brad go! Make me some more deliciousness! I truly feel like not just a member but part of the family. Brad's brother Grady is probably one of the nicest people that you will ever meet, This guy never has an off day, he has truly been a blessing to know! The way that he describes the wine is so elegant, so theatrical, that he could probably make anything sound good, luckily he serves only the best. Last but certainly not least Anna, you may not get the opportunity to talk to her too much as she handles mostly the sales and appointments, but if you have the chance strike up a conversation with her, she is truly a delight to talk to. She rounds out what is possibly the best team in the wine industry!

Google
These are the nicest people and the wines are unique and fantastic. It’s a joy to be with them and has been for many, many years. Go there. Period!

Specialty blends that are intriguing and exciting to taste! Very friendly crew including the friendly dog Freddie.

Google
A huge thank you to *JOHN* He knows his craft and audience. Well done finding a new favorite wine of mine. We will be back because of your personal interest and professionalism and friendliness. The Rose' is FANTASTIC! Completely unique and one of a kind. Very fresh and fruit forward.

Google
I cannot say enough good things about Mercury, what a fantastic family winery! This was one of the best wine tasting experiences we’ve ever had, Grady is phenomenal and so knowledgeable. He made this experience so special. If we were local we would come here weekly!

Grant M.

Yelp
Go here. Drink fantastic wine. Be entertained. Leave with a smile and a new friend. Expected nothing from this small winery in the back of a coffeeshop in Geyserville, but it was recommended by someone who worked at a vineyard where we tasted, so worth a try, especially since Diavola will let you drink it there for zero corkage. Sat down after saying hello to the very good boy winery dog and then began to fall in love with Mercury. Brad is a devoted lover of wine who recognizes that different people have different tastes, and if you love well made wine, you'll love what he does. If you love well made wine and your tasting profile matches his, get ready for one hell of a day. The Pinot carries weight and has deep, complex flavors. The Syrah and GSM really show his devotion and passion for Rhône varietals. His skin contact Chardonnay is fantastic, and the rosé is outstanding once it warms up a touch. The thing that stood out to me about this place was Brad's charisma and love of wine and how intentional he is about everything that he does. He gets fantastic grapes to make his orange wine. He decides to make a rosé and then intentionally makes a great one; he doesn't just let it be the leftovers from something else he wants to make. I worried about the Cheesecake Factory effect when looking at his menu, wondering how someone could well make so many different varietals of wine in so many different styles, but he walks the walk. We left with a case, and I can't wait for my next visit to Mercury to talk wine with someone who truly loves it and talk shit about wine with someone who shares a similar irreverence for something about which we are both so passionate. Incredible!

Yelp
***3.5 Stars*** A really fun and lively tasting room with top tier service, but the wines leave much to be desired. Stopped here with a friend during a wine and food pairing event. The food pairings were delicious but we didn't particularly care for most of the wines that we tried. Mercury tasting room in located right in downtown Geyserville. Since Geyserville is so small, it's pretty hard to miss. This place is usually packed with people on busy weekends. The staff in the tasting room were all super welcoming and pleasant. They lead us to their back patio which has a really fun and casual vibe. It's a great place to chill and catch up with friends. Despite how tiny this tasting room looks on the outside, their patio is actually quite spacious. They were pouring wines from their two different wine labels so that everyone could compare the differences in taste. And while both labels did taste different, we weren't really impressed with either. Most of what we tried tasted pretty..... young. Too robust and too tannic. Even when paired with the bites, they still tasted like they needed to age a bit more. The only wine that I liked during the tasting was their Zinfandel, and even that didn't blow me away. Who knows.... It could have just been a bad batch or maybe it was produced from vines that were hit with the smoke from the fires. I really enjoyed the atmosphere but the wines were a bit disappointing. This should really be a 3 star review based off of the wine alone, but since the service and atmosphere was great, I'm bumping it up to a 3.5 aka 4 stars. Although I wasn't too impressed with the wines this time around, I would still come back to try something different on a future visit.

Yelp
This is going to be a very special review. We have been to this winery before during large tasting weekends with there are dozens of people packed into their little space. I remember seeing all of the really cool memorabilia, and the town of Geyserville is a really neat little stop, so we wanted to make sure we got back. Their wine is very solid, drinkable, and reasonably priced. But, what will bring me back again and again are the people. We had a bunch of charcuterie to eat for lunch, and was looking for a place where we could eat it well, and join some wine. We asked the folks here at Mercury if that would be OK and not only did they accommodate us, they brought out silverware and plates. I have never felt so welcomed at a winery and almost felt like family. We will absolutely come back again and again, if for no other reason than to visit with the staff. In all honesty, most wineries certainly do their part to be hospitable, but these folks went way above and beyond, and created an experience for us that simply can't be topped. Well done!

Steve B.

Yelp
Great wine, great people, and a great experience every time. I've always enjoyed the wine here and have wonderful times whether at the old location, Fermata, a pop up event, or the ranch at Lake Sonoma. If you want to join a wine club that feels more like a group of close friends, this is it. Brad's wine, Grady's energy, and Anna's care make this a place to treasure.

Yelp
Such a fun and friendly place. The staff were attentive and energetic (your brother did well!) we liked the range of wines we tasted and of course Freddie the dog. Walked away with sparkling wine and port. Located in the cute "downtown" of Geyersville.

Rachel M.

Yelp
We stopped in for coffee at Fermata and were very pleasantly surprised that Mercury opened a tasting room inside the space. We LOVE Mercury wine and were sad when they closed their original tasting room in town. Ana who works at Mercury is such an amazing host and makes everyone feel so welcome. I would highly recommend anyone to stop in. They had a great sauv blanc and rose for the warm weather months.

Yelp
Had a wedding and reception for my daughter here this past Saturday. It could not have turned out better. She wanted small, simple but classy. Mercury filled the bill. Service and treatment could not have been better. Not to mention the fabulous wines to select from. They even brought in a full size brick pizza oven for pizzas. Who does that???? Great place, fabulous wines. Five stars for sure.

Yelp
The 2016 Zin was absolutely amazing with a special delicacy salad that included toasted pecans, blue cheese, fresh blueberries and a mixture of fresh greens in a honey balsamic vinaigrette. During our shelter in place we are missing fun times in the tasting room with Grady and Freddy. Cheers everyone!!

Yelp
Absolutely loved the experience ! Good sense of humour (the host, who's the wine maker's brother) and good drinker; we had fun for an hour!! My husband loved the messenger, (85$) totally worth it according to him! I did enjoy the white axina !! Were sad we missed Freddy!

Yelp
We visited Mercury this week as our first outing since the pandemic began. It was reassuring to see how carefully they are following the COVID19 safety procedures. Physical distancing, mask wearing, gloves, and disinfecting protocols are all taken very seriously. The back patio (shared with Ramazzotti wines) is comfortable and inviting. We also ordered delicious food from Diavolo next door which transforms a top-notch wine tasting into an Italian lunch experience sure to satisfy even the most critical Northern California foodie! Anna, Grady, and Brad are outstanding hosts--friendly and knowledgeable. And Freddie is the quintessential winery dog greeting customers with a tail wag and soft ears that need to be petted! #sonomastrong

Yelp
The kindest people with the best wine. If you want to be surrounded by amazing company and truly unique, delicious wine, this is it. The location has a gorgeous view of Alexander Valley from the front, and the tasting room itself is cozy and gorgeous. As new members, we were lucky enough to attend the wine blending party and that is worth its weight in gold for the price of joining the club. So many good memories made in the most beautiful place. You have to visit and join the wine club!

Yelp
Had a wonderful time tasting with Grady. It was our first time here, upon recommendation from our Airbnb hosts. Grady was full of energy, knowledge and fun. We had a spectacular tasting and took home a few bottles of wine. We will definitely be back here our next time in this area. Thanks Grady!!

Yelp
I was staying in Cloverdale and had received wine tasting passes for a lot of the vineyards in Geyserville and Mercury was our second stop. This was my first experience doing winetasting and I really enjoyed myself. Grady I think is what his name was is the person that gave us our wine tasting. He was very informative about the wines, funny and also recommended a few nice places to eat in the area. Freddie (dog) is just as sweet as can be and he laid across my feet like I wasn't there, lol. They're red wine really stood out to me because I ended up buying a bottle of the 1500 and I'm not a red wine person, I'm more of a white, but that's just how amazing of a taste that it was. I highly recommend you try the wine tasting and buy yourself a couple of bottles from here and I assure you that you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Mercury everything. Brad was very helpful and informative. All though we were noobs he kindly explained everything to us. Told us stories, patient, and best of all made our first wine tasting a great experience. It's like having sex for the first time. It's scary and you do not know what to expect. Well Brad held our hands throughout the whole thing. Thank you so much we will be back for more wines and adventures! Freddy is the best pup ever!

Yelp
Wonderful small, privately owned (Brad and Grady) winery in quaint Geyserville. I've gone to tasting and events there abour 4-5 times. The other winery next door adds to the festivities of both places and the backyard is a great place to hang out on warmer days. My favorite is the Big Orange (white) that they specialize in. The whole place, including Freddie the Dog, is dedicated to Freddie Mercury with his records and action figures. The reds are spectacular as are all the wines I've tried here. Service is some of the friendliest I've ever encountered in the original, Northern California, Wine Country. ~Ms. Ali

Yelp
Happened upon this tasting room on our way to dinner during our first night in Geyserville. We met both the owner and brother who poured for us during our tasting. Great wines and conversation during our time there. Unfortunately we did not see the winery dog, hopefully if we come back through we will The wines are quite good and we picked up several bottles, although I am not sure if any of them will make it back home. Edited to add - None of them did :)

Yelp
Our absolute favorite!! We love visiting whenever we get the opportunity. Fantastic wines and it's always a fun time visiting Grady, Brad, and whoever else is working that day. During the COVID shutdown they started doing a YouTube Happy Hour Fridays at 5:00; definitely worth watching to find out more about their wines and any specials they may have going on. Of course tasting is complementary for members, but for non-members, they waive the tasting fee with the purchase of a couple bottles. It makes perfect sense and I really think other wineries should follow suit.

Yelp
Wonderful experience. The patio is set up very well, and the variety of wines we were able to try was amazing. The atmosphere and vibe is really fun and I highly recommend anyone check them out. My group ordered food next door and Diavola delivered it which was a great treat and convenience. Grady was our server and made the experience very fun. We got to meet Freddie as well as he roamed around the patio and I would definitely come back here again and again. I would highly recommend this winery to all my friends.

Yelp
This is Sonoma county wine and tasting at it's best. I have been stopping into Mercury for several years and their wine is top notch, the tasting room is open and clean, and the staff (the wine maker or his brother) are always welcoming and willing to chat while you taste their delicious wines. I never leave without a bottle and wish my pocketbook allowed for more! The "jug wine" is my favorite and is an excellent red table blend. They seem to be fearless when it comes to combining red varieties. Recommend making the trek for Mercury, worth the somewhat out of the way stop in Geyserville tenfold!
google avatar

Gee K.

Yelp
We were going to a restaurant next door, had time to kill. So we popped in at Mercury. The lady (sorry didn't catch her name and was not on the receipt) was lovely. Easy to talk to...conversation didn't feel contrived. If you like red wines this is the place. Only wish is that the tasting room had a lounge area to hang out in.

Tom D.

Yelp
We were on our first driving vacation in about a year and thought wine tasting would be fun if we could find a nearby winery to visit on our travels home from the coast. Took an interesting route over from Highway 1 and Voila! We found Mercury Winery in downtown Geyserville with an outdoor patio. Really loved their wines, had a fun time and learned a lot from Grady, and got to meet friendly Freddie too. We both loved our time at Mercury and left with some great bottles of wine to rekindle our memories of a wonderful afternoon.
google avatar

Daniel Z.

Yelp
Five stars for Freddie, winery dog extraordinaire!! Also, most of the wines here are delicious. Great vibe and friendly staff, that are more than willing to chat about their winemaking process and the vineyards.
google avatar

Karin W.

Yelp
Extremely drinkable wines. You couldn't feel more welcome in a tasting room. Such a fun experience and we can't wait to return. Hopefully Freddie won't be bored to tears by the earlier guests and is there when we return.

Glynis H.

Yelp
Grady is quite a character! I've never been so entertained or educated at a wine tasting. He clearly knows his stuff but explains everything in a way that makes sense as well as makes you laugh. The wines are unique and amazing. They specialize in small batches but offer a wide variety of product. Walked out with several bottles including Skins which looks like a chard but tastes like a smooth red. While there, do yourself a favor and order delivery from the neighboring gourmet pizza joint to round out your tasting pleasures. Just ask Grady for their QR scan code and he'll hook you up. You won't regret it. Reservations are required and COVID protocols are in place and strictly enforced.
google avatar

Bianca B.

Yelp
Five stars for Grady's incredible personality, and the wines are tasty too! We kicked off our day here and even though it was barrel tasting weekend, they managed to fit us in. There was a very large group enjoying that event but we managed to sneak in and have Grady pour our wines which was an experience in itself. The thing about Napa is that there's these beautiful tasting rooms, but you don't often get to interact with the people directly involved with the product like you would on the PasoRobles side. Grady made this experience one to remember and he was just so darn friendly! We were greeted by Freddie the wine dog and he managed to swing by frequently so we could pet him. Ok, the wines. They make blends of Merlot, Cab Franc, Cab Sauv, Tempranillo, Zins etc and it's usually small productions (60-150 cases). I'm an ABC (anything but Chardonnay) girl so I went straight to the reds. My favorite was the CRU Blend which was created by two wine club members. It's 60% Syrah, 13% Petite Syrah and 27% Cab Franc. It's a big, bold red and just the way I like it. The 500 Jug was also a winner, super smooth and could definitely be an everyday wine. Overall, one of my favorite tasting rooms and I'll be back. What are you waiting for? GO!
google avatar

Jack Q.

Yelp
The 2016 Zinfandel is very good and the Sauvignon Blanc is quite good as well. Ana is very friendly and helpful, too.
google avatar

Drew W.

Yelp
Brad is an alchemist - his wines are nothing short of magical. Grady is effervescence and joy embodied. We have been delighted with Mercury Geyserville wines for years.
google avatar

Stacy S.

Yelp
One of the friendliest wineries. Located in downtown Healdsburg. The man and woman who were pouring the wines were extremely friendly. They also have a sweet dog named Freddie. The wines were above average, but we didn't buy anything.

Oliver S.

Yelp
Great wine better service worth a stop. Been coming since '12. You can grab an awesome pizza next door as well. Love the place.

Young C.

Yelp
These guys judgmental snobs who don't deserve your money. We tried to taste some wine as a bachelorette party but we were told to take our hats elsewhere. Well excuuuuuuse me that we love wine and having fun and tiny hats. Their mistake because we bought cases upon cases at the Meeker winery down the street where they celebrated our tiny hats and made us feel so welcomed. This place has an attitude problem and if their wine is anything like their attitude I can bet you it's probably crappy. Big mistake. Huge.

Julie K.

Yelp
Our first visit to Geyserville for an AMAZING wedding! What a great place and wonderful people! Awesome wines and Grady and Brad are truly kind people...and of course, Freddy the wine dog, adds so much to the experience. There is nothing pretentious here...just really great wine and great people! The Zinfandel that we ordered arrived yesterday...can't wait to enjoy! And can't wait to go back!
google avatar

Anna M.

Yelp
We stopped by Mercury as a last minute decision because we had a few minutes before our dinner reservation down the street, and we are SO glad we did! We loved every wine we tasted there, including the couple that were "off the list". Ana was our tasting guide and she was so fun and knowledgeable about the wines. We had never been to Geyserville but will definitely be stopping by there again, just to revisit Mercury and get some more of their amazing wines!
google avatar

Chrissy L.

Yelp
Don't miss Mercury if you're wine tasting in Geyerville! From what others have said, these guys really are fun! They have a DJ booth in their tasting room- although I will have to make a return visit for the next party. When they offer you a tasting, they REALLY offer you a taste of all of their wines and if you need another taste, it's yours. You can compare pinots from different appellations, try all of their amazing reds, rose and dessert wine (it's making a comeback!)
google avatar

Greg B.

Yelp
Probably the most fun tasting of the 20 we did in 3 days. The guys are knowledgable and loony. Freddy Mercury is America's cutest winery dog black Lab. The wines are fun and several are literally funky (bretty for us winoes). Taste them all and buy at least one 500, the 500 ml mini-jug. Then buy your favorite cheese and crackers, and pour from da jug. Heaven. Prosper, Mercury Brothers!
google avatar

Chris A.

Yelp
The most fun we had at a tasting during our stay was definitely at Mercury. A diverse and different selection of varietals than you see in much of Alexander Valley, all very affordable and unpretentious. The owner's brother was the pourer and he did a great job of sharing his enthusiasm for their brand and tasted right along with us. Honestly, we drove to Geyserville from Healdsburg solely to try Mercury based on Yelp reviews and were very glad we did. Highly recommended for a fun, educational, and relaxed tasting experience.
google avatar

Sean M.

Yelp
This place was an unexpected treat. We went in intending to do some tasting at the winery Mercury shares space with. But our host was so pleasant, knowledgeable, and funny that we just had to stay. They had 5 wines to choose from including 2 whites and 3 reds. And they were all really good. We will definitely be back.
google avatar

Lori B.

Yelp
We keep coming back..Brad, Grady and Freddy (Black Lab) keep us entertained with great wine. Both of our son's joined the wine club. Great boutique Winery. Small case production. New Sparkling and a Rose.
google avatar

Evan H.

Yelp
Lots of wine tastings, whether at the vineyard or a tasting room, can be stuffy, a little pretentious and not welcoming. That is NOT the case at Mercury. In this very small town, between Ukiah and Napa sits a tiny wine maker and his trusty black lab, Freddie Mercury. We had a great time tasting lots of interesting wines. The various wines are all reasonably priced, if you end up grabbing one for later or sending a case home. Because they make less than 2,000 cases, you know that if you share this wine with friends, they will likely never had it before.
google avatar

Ellie F.

Yelp
We had a blast! I e-mailed them ahead to see if I needed a reservation for a group (nope!) and the tasting fee ($5, waived with purchase). We ended up buying a Sauvignon Musque because it was new and different to us, but we liked a lot of what they had. The owner and his brother are crazy nice, and who doesn't love a tasting room dog? Are you a little bit nerdy? Go to Mercury! Do you like a variety of wine? Go to Mercury! Do you want a two-fer stop? Go to Mercury & Ramazzotti because they share a tasting room!
google avatar

Traci K.

Yelp
My husband and I love to visit the guys at Mercury. Brad and Grady always make us feel so welcome when we talk into the tasting room. We love that Brad tries different things with his blends, and The Rocket is one of our favorites. Of course, comments about Mercury wouldn't be complete if we didn't include Freddie the super cute winery pup. Do yourself a favor and stop in to say hello and taste some incredible wines.
google avatar

Marisa G.

Yelp
We came to Mercury based on a recommendation from Trione and this ended up being our favorite tasting room in Geyserville! We were immediately greeted by the owner's brother (can't remember his name) but he was so friendly and outgoing and made us feel like regulars. Each wine that we tasted was great and the vibe of the tasting room was really relaxed. I ended up buying a t-shirt that is now one of my favorites - so soft and comfy! Since I bought the shirt our tasting fees were waived. I love the unpretentiousness of this place (and Geyserville, for that matter) compared to Napa!
google avatar

Liz O.

Yelp
Mercury...great wines, nothing pretentious here! Winemaker Brad, his brother, Grady, greet you like you're part of the family. We have visited this tasting room many times, even joined the wine club! Every visit is a "Hootenanny"!!!

Courtney I.

Yelp
Shame on me for not writing this sooner! What Brad is doing with his Mercury wines is downright phenomenal. I'm up in Geyserville every few months and it seems like every time I walk in to Mercury he's cooking up some new idea or releasing a complex wine. Don't get me wrong, they have their tried and true varietals, but what makes this place special (aside from the stellar service) is the unique and delicious wine you can't get at your mainstream store. Do yourself a favor...run, don't walk to Mercury. Shout out to Grady too! Thanks for always making us feel extra special when we visit. You guys are the best!
google avatar

Ivy W.

Yelp
Mercury wine is to date the only winery we've been to that we loved every wine we tried and bought a case. That isnt usual for us. Grady was fun and a joy to talk to. We will be back.

D A.

Yelp
Ana effectively ruined my birthday. I was excited to celebrate my birthday by tasting was was recommended as some delicious wine. ANA could not be bothered. ANA said I don't have enough time to serve you wine, even though I am supposed to be open, I need to leave to be with my family. Can't comment on the wine, but the customer service is terrible.

Miriam A.

Yelp
Authentic and personal service. Lovely wine. Worth a stop. The Albariño was my favorite.
google avatar

Kate O.

Yelp
Wonderful wines and the Dark Side wine is incredible! Two brothers doing amazing wine. Will be back every time we are local!

Tara Kelly K.

Yelp
Such a lovely spot and wonderful people. We had a wine tasting on the sunny, cool patio. My partner and I stopped in Geyserville looking for a place to buy our friend some wine and came upon Mercury. We spoke to Ana, who delighted us with wine wisdom and easy conversation during our wine tasting. She was very knowledgeable and patient with our questions. We ended up buying two bottles. On the way to San Francisco, in an attempt to secure items in our car, ironically one bottle of wine fell out and broke. I emailed Mercury to ask if it was possible to have one sent to me, and I would happily pay for another bottle. Ana insisted on sending one to our house in Seattle, free of charge. We are so grateful for this generous gift, which was truly above and beyond incredible customer service. It's also worth noting that we loved all of the 5 wines we tried. Highly recommended and we will definitely return next time we are in the area!
