NorCal Wine Bar District Will Open Its First Texas Location in Addison - Eater Dallas

"This area could certainly use a solid wine bar, especially following the departure of longtime drinking destination Mercy Wine Bar in 2020. Open in the neighborhood for 17 years, the bar had a dedicated crowd of regulars who have undoubtedly been searching for a replacement since Mercy’s closure last May, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic." - Amy McCarthy

Mercy Wine Bar Permanently Closes Its Addison Location After 17 Years - Eater Dallas

"Mercy Wine Bar in Addison is closing after 17 years. The closure is attributed to the COVID-19 pandemic and issues with the Village on the Parkway development, such as parking and construction problems. Co-owner Glen Agritelley announced the closure in a video on Facebook, expressing that the decision was difficult but necessary after extensive analysis. Fans are encouraged to reflect on the great memories and look forward to the future." - Amy McCarthy

Addison’s Beloved Mercy Wine Bar Will Open a Second Location in Irving - Eater Dallas

"Mercy Wine Bar is expanding to the Toyota Music Factory complex in Irving. Unlike its original location in Addison, the new venue will have a full bar and will be located atop the Green Gator Cajun Sports Bar. The original wine bar, known for its experimentation and education, has been a staple in Addison for 17 years. The new location will feature a menu with items like flatbreads, cheese plates, and filet mignon, and will be open from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m." - Tierney Plumb

Went in for a quick tasting and was not disappointed. Enrique was behind the bat and wad extremity knowledgeable and helpful when picking my flights. He even gave me a taste of some really unique wines. I plan on being back regularly. A must if you are in the area

Incredible atmosphere. Very warm comfort feel. The wine menu was vast and covered every region where wine is produce. The cheeseboard was neatly done and flavorful. The wine sommelier was incredible with his wine presentation. Very knowledgeable and was so good he didn't need a napkin to catch the drip. Service lost a star... More directly the time it told to get a simple salmon burger. They acknowledged and apologized but that was the only thing to miss the mark. And maybe the water refills... But I drink alot of water and they had 5oz glasses for water.😂

Beautiful and relaxing ambience. The saxophonist, Ner Deleon, was amazing! Classy venue with a wide variety of wine selections and appetizers.

Did you know this company charges the valet person from their personal tips for all unvalidated parking? True story. They charge them personally $4 for each unvalidated vehicle and charge them $1.50 for each validated vehicle. Valet and tip them $1.50 and they'll break even for parking your car. Found this out a couple weeks ago and I am truly appalled. My experience has been tainted by them entirely. I'll change my review when they've changed their policy.

The staff has earned a solid 5-star rating. I’ve been here at all different times of the day, from peak busyness to being the only customers in the whole place. Each time the staff has been excellent. The sun blocking windows aren’t that inviting, but the ambience completely changes once you walk in. The staff have intimate knowledge of their wine list (which is constantly changing and full of unique finds) and can give you a recommendation for something similar if they’re out of what you want. We’ve never been disappointed by their recommendations and are always confident in their knowledge. Also, their bottles are competitively priced—take one home for almost half the listed price. If you can, come here on a night that they have live music. Their lineup is always solid, and there’s a solid group of regulars that keep things lively. Or, if you’re more interested in an intimate dinner, I’d recommend a Tuesday or Wednesday night—you’ll be the only one in the whole place. A slight reservation with the food: it’s a bit overpriced. Maybe eat dinner at home or just order appetizers. But if you’re coming for the wine, you can’t pick better.

Super knowledgeable about all things wine, nice snacks, the porcini tortellini was amazing and all the staff are welcoming. They have a very interesting mix of different music auctions in the evenings and it's a large comfortable place to come and hang out with friends and drink wine! Highly recommend. I got to try wines I haven't seen in other places and I got to try tastes and by the glass before committing to bottles which is pretty awesome. Largest by the glass selection list I have ever seen. I will be back!
