Merenda Italian Deli

Stopped at Merenda Deli for lunch while doing some wine tasting in the area. Considering how much wine tastings are these days this spot really made for a delicious budget friendly break in the day. We ordered the chicken cutlet sandwich on their recommendation and also decided to try the salami sandwich. The chicken cutlet really was fantastic in every way with a perfect crisp to the fry and fresh ingredients throughout the sandwich. The salami was tasty, but definitely played second fiddle to the cutlet. Towards the end the sun-dried tomato sauce got to be a bit much for me, but if you like those flavors then I’m sure this sandwich will deliver. Friendly service behind the counter along with convenience made for a great stop during the day.

Been several times now and it is fantastic! I’ve had multiple deli’s like this in Italy pop up on my feed. Tantalizing the palette with the fresh focaccia, fresh mozzarella, balsamic, arugula, and olive oil…….now I’ve found this! Amazing and fresh with a great value when it comes to price! Stop. Grab a sandwich and a Pelligrino! You’ll be coming back like me.

Sometimes the best discoveries are made by accident! I stumbled upon Merenda Italian Deli while on the hunt for a taco truck, and I'm so incredibly glad I did. Italian delis hold a special place in my heart, and the sign for Merenda immediately caught my eye. Parking was a breeze thanks to their private shared lot, which is always a plus. Stepping inside, I was greeted by a bright, inviting atmosphere and the most delicious aromas. It instantly felt welcoming. I really appreciate their concise menu. To me, a smaller selection often means they've perfected each item, rather than spreading themselves too thin. It's a sign of true dedication to their craft! I ordered the Morta and my wife chose the Curdo, both grilled paninis. They were cooked to absolute perfection, each bite transporting me back to the familiar flavors of my hometown deli. My wife also ordered a cold brew with pistachio cream, which I was skeptical about, but it was surprisingly amazing – a unique and delightful treat! If I lived in Oregon, Merenda would definitely be a regular stop for us. It's an absolute must-try for anyone who appreciates authentic, well-made Italian sandwiches. The neighborhood itself was lovely, with plenty of other tempting-looking eateries nearby. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

Absolutely The Best Sandwiches in the Willamette Valley. This is a MUST stop for any visitor to the Willamette Valley, especially when touring the local wineries. These are authentic Italian sandwiches (and now salads) like you've never experienced. The ingredients are fresh and the sauces are handmade and delicious. Super fun Italian vibe too! Not to miss!

I feel like Merenda came out of nowhere. I think they are really about a year old at this point, but I only recently discovered them when I was up in Newberg and searching for a quick grab and go lunch. They are located in Dundee across the street from Red Mills Market, and neighbors to Fratelli Wine Bar so you could make a little afternoon of it exploring these fun spots. They have a good amount of space in their parking lot, but if it does fill (which can happen on the weekends), there is plenty of parking along the road. There is some seating inside and out, all pretty casual, but nice to have the option. I’ve only ever ordered to go, but they are quick and typically have sandwiches ready in 5-15 minutes (the latter only at their busiest times). Their menu is tight with two salad options, five sandwiches, and a couple coffees/teas. Also worth mentioning the gigantic brown butter chocolate chip cookie and delectable sounding gelato (pistachio, stracciatella…moo crunch?!). I have had probably half the menu items at this point, and all are good, but my favorites are the #1 sandwich, Morta along with the ceci salad (and cookie, obviously). Since they are so quick, don’t waste time while you are waiting on your order, and make sure to peruse their fun snacks, soft drinks, and merch. The Torres potato chips are where it’s at, and while I’ve resisted temptation thus far, I really want to get my hands on the Sockerbit gummies. Once you do receive your order, you will be swooning over the adorable presentation. I know you’re thinking “t’s just sandwiches,” but they make them feel special from the paper wraps with the cute Merenda tape, to the red and white picnic check napkins. I generally venture up there only once a month or so, but Merenda has become a strong contender for favorite lunch spot in the area. Oh, and I always forget, but you can order online too!

Seriously the only place you should be getting a sandwich at! I’ve tried a few different sandwiches so far and they’re always delicious. Quality ingredients and meats. Staff is friendly, kind, and make you feel welcome right as you walk in the door. But don’t take my word for it; stop in next time you’re around and grab the best sandwich you’ll find in Yamhill county!

I had the chicken sandwich here, and it was absolutely delicious! The chicken was juicy and perfectly seasoned, with a crispy outside and fresh toppings that really brought it together. The service was just as impressive — friendly, quick, and attentive. Definitely one of the best chicken sandwiches I’ve had in a while. Highly recommend!

My favorite spot to stop for a to-go bite when I’m driving through Dundee! You can order ahead, every sandwich is 10/10, and they have unique n/a drink options. Extra points for their cute branding and take out packaging. Their sandwiches are the perfect way to kickoff a day of wine tasting.

Hot Italian sandwiches?! Yes please! These are made fresh and delicious. The menu is simple. They were out of some ingredients when I went but it still worked out. I ordered the #4. They stack it generously with meat and the perfect amount of greens and cheese. They ran out of mozzarella so they gave us burrata instead. The sandwich was still delicious! Service is fast and friendly. They do have some chips as a side option and a cooler with beverages. Can't wait to come back and try more sandwiches! They have rewards so don't forget to get a stamp card. Your 10th sandwich is free!!!

Totally outstanding sandwiches. The italian cheeses on them were insane and the sauces were soooooo tasty. The ambience inside the shop was lovely. I can't wait to go back.

Second time getting the yummy Orto roasted veggie panini. Its a big sandwich, enough to share, on great focaccia with the perfect blend of sauce, cheese and veggies. They have a menu with only 5 sandwiches - the other 4 are meaty if you are into that.

Delicious!!!! Got the #1 and it's was perfect. All the ingredients were high quality and very fresh. They have gluten free bread as an option. Great location across the street from Argyle winery.

really yummy sando (got the morta) tho I didn't taste any hot honey on it. But the pistachio latte was bitter as heck and the cold foam seemed to be past its prime. loved the plates. great outdoor shaded area where you can have a dog. no dogs inside.

I am in love with this cute little Italian deli. The feel is clean and minimalist. The large windows allow for a lot of natural light which makes it feel warm and inviting. The staff are informative and friendly. We chose a Morta sandwich -MORTADELLA, BURRATA, ROCKET, PESTO, HOT HONEY. The flavors of this sandwich are well thought out. I could taste each ingredient individually and perfectly. The hot honey gave it a slight spice which downplayed the arugula. The bread was soft and delicious and held this juicy sandwich together expertly. I will be craving this sandwich on the regular. They also have fun drinks in the cooler you can purchase. I chose a lavender lemon balm sparkling water.

Really good sandwiches, really good vibes. My partner and I split the cotto and the morta on gluten free bread both were delicious. My parents got the pollo and salami on regular bread and said they were also delicious. Whatever gluten free bread they use is excellent. Will be back for sure

SO good- super fresh ingredients, fantastic bread. We got the Morta and the Crudo- both were stand-out. To note, my gluten-free friends got the gf bread and said it was very good too. Will definitely come back!

Superb Italian sandwiches in the heart of wine country. Do yourself a favor and order ahead. It gets busy and it's a small shop with only a couple of employees. All the sandwiches are excellent.

Great food and excellent service from a friendly staff. Easy parking, and we walked right into a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend for dining in or takeout!
