Merengue Express

This is a Dominican Republic 🇩🇴 restaurant and it didn’t disappoint. You know how hard I grade the customer service experience and this place gets a solid 5 ⭐️. The gentle lady behind the counter was such a remarkable ambassador of the restaurant. She took the time to explain the bowls and was very thorough and helpful in choosing my food since it was my first time. The restaurant was clean and the decor was very very nice. Even the bathroom was impressive. The food was very good and the bowls are so huge that I couldn’t finish my bowl and had the rest for dinner. So, the $17 bowl is well worth the money. Don’t be scared by it because they give you PLENTY OF FOOD. They are located directly across the street from the Roxbury Crossing train station. I would definitely recommend it and can’t wait to go back and try the other food items on the menu.

It is a very pleasant place, and I enjoyed my over an hour of lunch time spent there. What was short of 5 stars for me: my vegetables were cold, grilled chicken was overly salty, and the flan felt a bit too much like purchased from a store. I hope these can be easily fixed!

Beautifully designed restaurant!! I was visiting the bank and thought let me stop in. I always wanted to, but because of parking I would keep going. I am so glad I stopped !! The woman in the front was extremely nice and helpful . I normally hate to ask what is your favorite cause they’ll tell you anything right? Well, she told me her favorite was the chicken , let me tell you tender and falling off the bone lots of gravy & flavor, dirty, rice, and peas and mixed vegetable. Everything was so moist full of flavor the veggies had a nice little crunch to it. Completely satisfied.💕

Food is SO TASTY. So delicious. There's a huge DIY bowl station to customize your meal. Vegan/Vegetarian options. Authentic hispanic beans mixed with a modern, healthy take, and they are so kind and patient while I asked what was what while ordering. Highly recommend making a bowl and the smoothies!

I recently ate at Merengue Express and tried their seafood bowl. It was delicious and healthy, definitely a 10/10! The flavors were amazing and the ingredients were really fresh. Their motto, "EAT LATIN EAT HEALTHY," says it all. I highly recommend this place!

I was doing a pickup for an event but I saw the food and had to try it. Amazing!! I ended up buying 5 more plates while there to add along. I highly recommend this business!!!
