"Given its grand amenities–including its own nine-acre vineyard–this hotel and spa is definitely more of a resort, therefore not the best bet if you're looking for a quaint-style inn or hotel. The customer service is excellent, as is the spa. It offers tastings in it's cellars and is only about a ten-minute drive from downtown Napa if you're looking to explore or head out to dinner. "

I had a lovely time with my friends here, but the hotel fell short in some respects. To begin with the positive, the rooms were quite spacious and comfortable and the linens were nice. We liked the convenience in terms of location and had no trouble getting around Napa. However, there were some disappointments. First, one of our wine glasses we purchased as a souvenir at a winery was taken by housekeeping. As of 7/6 - the hotel has done nothing to resolve this. This was something I was excited to bring home after my travels and the hotel has not acted with any urgency in terms of making this right. Second, the pools did not meet expectations and were consistently mobbed and not well maintained. We were excited to lounge and enjoy our vacation by the pool but were unable to do so as the pools were never able to accommodate 3 people. The staff was begrudgingly led us to 3 chairs when the crowd cleared out slightly. No hospitality or enthusiasm was displayed. Third, the staff at the spa were abrasive and inhospitable. We went in to see about offerings for hotel guests and using the facilities and were told very rudely that the spa is at capacity so there’s no chance for us to use the facilities or even pay for a “guest pass”. We had a fun experience at the Meritage, but the service and standard for excellence were low in several respects.

We had a lovely stay at this place. The room was clean, well-maintained, and the complimentary bottle of wine was such a thoughtful touch — it made our arrival feel extra special. We spent time relaxing at the adult pool, which was a great for unwinding and hanging out. The on-site restaurant, Olive & Hay, looked amazing, but it was fully booked during our visit, so I’d definitely recommend making reservations in advance if you plan to dine there. Overall, it’s a beautiful place to enjoy a relaxing weekend getaway. Would definitely recommend!

Google
I stayed here for a wedding so my perspective is a little different. The rooms are large and light and airy. The bathroom is big, but the toilet paper felt like a newspaper. I wish hotels had bidets. I also wish the shower had a wand attachment. Overall the room was clean. The campus is pretty and large. The cafe was alright; expensive for the taste. The various event spaces are large and the staff were friendly.

Google
I would love to give this place more stars. It is a beautiful property. The rooms were pretty and I loved having a balcony. I had an issue with my AC unit not working. I called down, no response. I went to the front desk, no one again. I slept with the balcony door open-had I been on the first floor that wouldn't have happened. Upon check out I again let them know of the issue. I was told "Oh, I will be sure to let maintenance know." No apology. Upon check in, I was given a map and my room keys. No direction. I had to ask. I did eat at Olive and Hay and it was pretty good. My server there was great.

I had high hopes for The Meritage that were unfortunately not met. A couple positives: the bed and pillows were great. The water pressure was nice and the room was spacious, and I enjoyed easy access to bottled water. The trail through the vineyard was relaxing and lovely. Everything else fell short. The gym was dirty, disorganized, and incredibly hot. The food on the resort property is incredibly overpriced - two coffees and two breakfast sandwiches cost $50. We had to pay $15 a day to self-park our car on the property as a paying overnight guest. We paid via the QR codes in the parking lot, and the Meritage charged us again for parking on our final bill. I've been reaching out for over a week via email, phone, and left voicemails for the Meritage team to correct this charge and have yet to receive a single response. The customer service was so poor, I couldn't believe the folks that were on the front lines interacting with guests. During check in, we were barely listened to when asking questions about the resort and the staff were having side conversations amongst themselves with a line of guests waiting to be helped. The servers at the lobby bar were simply going through the motions and not engaging or friendly. We walked into the spa area to see the gift shop and ask about services, and the girl at the front desk started blankly at me and literally rolled her eyes. I stayed at the Meritage because a conference I was attending was on the property. The conference spaces were nice enough but there was no water bottle filler and the small towers of iced water ran out quickly and weren't refilled. I will not return to this property.

Our accommodations were perfect. The interior lightening should be improved. The fireplace was great on the cool nights. The bedding top notch. The parking a bit of an issue. The grounds of Vino BELLO are beautiful surrounded by greenery and roses everywhere. |I highly recommend !

This review is mostly for Miss Alinda I’m sorry I can’t remember exactly if this is the correct name. She definitely exceeded customer expectations! We asked her for some stuff that we needed for the room and she was able to accommodate us right away. She was very nice and friendly. The hotel itself is already beautiful and clean. Will definitely come back and recommend this to others.

We booked through Trip Advisor. Room was lovely, daily perks including breakfast, PLUS a $40.00/day F&B credit and free parking were great and we definitely used them. The welcome bottle of wine was a nice touch.|Bathroom was spacious and well appointed. Bed was very comfortable. |Pool was very crowded and a bit rowdy at times but everyone seemed to be having a great time. This resort is at the very south end of Napa so visiting wineries in Sonoma is a bit of a drive, but Silverado Trail is very close to the resort and there are wineries up and down the trail. Be prepared, most wineries require advance reservations. We lucked out and found an opening at Miner Winery and had a wonderful experience. |We would definitely recommend Meritage and hope we can visit their other location at St. Helena sometime.

Yelp
I visited this place for the first time on Mother's Day, and it was a fantastic experience. The valet service made parking effortless, and checking in was a breeze. There's so much to explore that it can feel a bit overwhelming, but my mom loved wandering the vineyard grounds, especially admiring the beautiful statue of the Virgin Mary. The rooms are elegantly designed, and we were pleasantly surprised to find a nice bottle of red wine waiting for us. One of the highlights of our stay was a cooking class offered at the resort. As someone who doesn't cook often, I found it to be an incredible experience--I felt like a contestant on Top Chef! The instructor was outstanding, making it even more enjoyable. The grounds are beautifully maintained, and we enjoyed getting lost in the picturesque scenery. My mom's favorite moment was discovering a charming church on the property. There are plenty of dining options, and room service is available late into the night, which is a nice touch. On my second visit, I attended a George Benson concert across the street. Checking in was just as smooth as before, and the venue, The Vista, felt upgraded and lively with numerous food vendors, likely due to the concert. The outdoor setting was perfect for a beautiful day of music. Although I would have preferred comfortable, seats but what can I expect on the lawn sitting in front row practically. Ultimately it didn't matter, we spent most of the time dancing and enjoying popcorn, which made for a fun evening. After the concert, we simply crossed the street back to our hotel and had a relaxing rest of the night. I can't wait to return again and again for the rest and relaxation this place offers. The friendly staff really makes it special.

Yelp
OMG THIS IS A RESORT AND SPA TO EXPERIENCE! Staff: amazing and very attentive. Courteous, very knowledgeable and maintained there loyalty to making sure guests are treated to the best customer service as possible. Christmas buffet: was the bomb!! It was pleasant and plentiful. The staff kept our table clean. The food was hot at all times. The charcuterie tables were massive and beautiful. They had a seafood station in the middle of the floor that was something to enjoy. They had every food item you could think of. Salad station, dessert station, breakfast station, carving station, main course station, fruit station, soup station and even a pastries station. The ice skating rink, igloos and HUGE Christmas tree was a nice "holiday touch"!! Our room: we opted for a "regular" room and it DID NOT DISAPPOINT at all. It was beautiful, came with a balcony and it was decorated and full of lights right outside our window as it overlooked the courtyard. Beautiful bathroom and decorum. One downfall for me: bed was too soft as in soft with a lot of lumps and dents. It's time to flip it or replace it LOL... Totally already planning to return and to return before the holidays. A time or two throughout the year is on the schedule! Stay here at least once in your lifetime. It's such a destination location but right in our back yard at the same time. But the atmosphere makes you feel AWAY, AWAY.

Yelp
1. Check in experience was a nightmare. Line was a mile long when we already checked in earlier but room was not ready. 2. They did not stock our room. 3. They did not clean our room during our stay. 4. Did not accommodate early check in or late check out. 5. Room was dirty. Will not be returning.

Yelp
Complimentary bottle of wine, but wine opener is cheap and wine quality is.... Well it's free. Modern shower, but bad pressure and hot water doesn't get very hot (evening or morning). Fun ice arena DJ outside, but it's really really loud in the room until 7pm, which doesn't sound bad unless you've been at a conference all day and all you want is a quiet room and a nap. Has hot tub, no info in packet, couldn't find button to turn on jets, only emergency off. Not very hot either. The crush lounge is cool! Has a pool table and bowling lanes, but it was booked for a private party despite having 3 conferences at the hotel and not a lot to do in the immediate area. Drinks are good at the bar, but it's Napa so they are all extremely over priced ie 1 bottled beer = $10, can get a six pack of the same beer for $15 down the street at a store Overall its a standard hotel but I expected more from a Napa "resort" and spa, particularly water temp.

Yelp
I stayed here with 2 girlfriends for a bachelorette trip. We got a two queen room and asked for a $250 upgrade to check in early and have the room decorated. They did a fabulous job decorating! The room was filled with balloons and candles and had a nice "wine time" banner. They also left us a bottle of champagne. That afternoon the "digital concierge" texted me to let us know there was a complimentary wine tasting in the lobby. We checked it out, there was a long line but it moved quickly. When we returned to our room after dinner they had left a basket on our bed with fresh popcorn, cookies, donuts, a candy bar, and water with fruit. It was a really nice touch. We spent some time in the bowling alley bar in our building (yes our building had a bowling alley). And our last morning there we had coffee in the coffee shop also conveniently in our building. I wish we'd had more time to explore as the grounds were massive! I saw there were restaurants, wine bars, walking trails, etc. I would stay again however it was quite pricey, though by Napa's standards maybe not too crazy.

Yelp
When in Napa... The Meritage is a really great place to stay for families, girls trips, couples... everyone!! During the holidays they have ice skating and lots of decor! We really enjoyed the service and the happy hour at the Lobby Bar. Well drinks were $10!! I had a great one made with tequila and grapes! The flatbreads are huge - we had the margarita and the spicy sausage ! And don't get me started on the truffle fries- probably the best I've ever had and a huge amount for $8!!!! Highly recommend!

Yelp
Rented the igloo for my daughter's birthday and it was amazing. We had a server and he was very attentive. The food was good and the drinks perfect!

Yelp
Nice pictures, failure of staff. This was a special place for us as we had spent our wedding night here in 2019. Now it is just a constant test of patience. From the dog bed that never arrived (prepaid for), to the cold hot tubs, to the staff who constantly say yes but never deliver. Three star hotel is a massive stretch.

Yelp
We really enjoyed the Meritage. Their rooms were clean, their service was excellent, they had a variety of activities on location and nearby. They have an ice skating ring on sight a long with restaurants, coffee shop, conference center, various shops, etc - we even had a great Thanksgiving Day dinner with turkey, stuffing, and all the fixings! They even had crab! In the evenings, they have a shuttle going to and from downtown Napa. We will definitely return!

Yelp
I like to visit when I'm in Napa to use their day pass for the pool. The price ranges from $20-$40 per person, and I always go to their adult only pool. The process is very simple, and you get a key from the front desk to access the pool. The pool staff are very friendly, and the food and drinks are refreshing in the heat. It's not anything super extravagant, but I think it's great for a day trip.

Yelp
Please accept our apologies but due to a group buying out all rink activities, we need to ask that you change or cancel your reservation. Please reach out to support@event-help.com and reply with the new date + time you would like to switch to. If rebooking is not an option, a full refund is available - please email icerink@meritageresort.com to request a refund. The Merry Meritage Team The Meritage Resort and Spa, please do better! We purchased our ice rink tickets 2 weeks ago for today 12/4 with other families for our students Holiday Outing. Meritage just sent us this email today! What a let down! Kids were looking forward to this. You have to be more considerate.

Yelp
There's something about this place that just makes you feel special. Maybe it's the service maybe it's just the vibe but it's a well worth the stay. Rooms are very spacious. Bedding, linen and bath are comfortable. The staff is more than hospitable and willing to help. If you plan it just right you can spend the night while attending an event hosted on the property.

Yelp
I have been to this spa a good amount of times because the massages are always the best in the area. I was so excited for my spa day, it was long-awaited especially after a semester of nursing school, it was much needed. Upon walk in, my experience wasn't as expected. The front desk boy lacked customer service skills. No smile, no greeting, no welcoming attitude at all, he looked like he hated his job tbh. Anyhow, my massage therapist did an amazing job. The serenity room could use more comfortable couches and chairs. A room with the reclining chairs would be a great addition.

Yelp
My family and I stayed here recently to attend the tree lighting ceremony. The grounds and festivities were beautiful. Unfortunately we ran into difficulties upon arrival. We were not offered bell service and had no idea how to locate our room or any of the services as it was dark and rainy outside. Our reservation for ice skating and igloo rental had been canceled by the resort due to the weather. We've sent several emails, completed the survey and have left messages for management. No one has acknowledged our request for a refund. Not a phone call or email. This process has been very disappointing. Now we have to file a complaint with the better business bureau. This is unfortunate. Hopefully the management team can be more responsive and customer centric towards future guests. Signed frustrated and disappointed.

Yelp
Since I thought it's a decent size of resort in Napa before going up too north, I always wanted to try something here. So I tried the buffet for Christmas. The ambience is really nice and the people were kind but the foods were mediocre quality. Somewhat disappointing except for the ham, the beef and the sea bass.. In the dessert section, not much of variety and in the seafood section, the crab was not very delicious.. I missed the food of buffet in Silverado a lot although it's interior older. Also they kept the rooms too cold.. both the food area and the dining area..I had to eat while shivering in the cold.
google avatar

Hani G.

Yelp
We enjoyed our stay at the meritage. The check-in was done fast by a young gentleman, but he didn't give us any information about the resort amenities except our room number. The room looked newly renovated and spacious, overlooking the family pool. They have restaurants, bowling and spa on the premises. Our room had a complementary bottle of wine and 2 bottles of water. On the day of our checkout out at 8 am. I received a message that I will be charged $100 per our for every late checkout hour after 11 a.m. I believe our room is overpriced, and I was expecting that kind of message that I haven't seen it in any hotel or resort.
google avatar

Min C.

Yelp
When we entered the room, there were leftover foods in the small refrigerator from the previous guest. The water in the pool was not clean, it looked like someone spilled gallons of milk in the pool. I don't know what happened to it. The people were nice but overall it was disappointing experience.
google avatar

Lin M.

Yelp
Terrible night stay. Noise and malfunctioning refrigerator making noise all night. They put us right next to janitor closet. All night door closing. Refrigerator running all night. At these prices and in Napa no way I would ever stay here again. What a wasted Christmas!
google avatar

winnie t.

Yelp
I've emailed them countless times to request a refund for a separate event due to a ice rink buyout on 12/4 where families were notified last minute. It's incredibly frustrating to see events meant for families and children, especially during the holiday season, being canceled because someone with more money or is more important came along. The chain is free to make this decision, sure, but reputation has a cost as well. The lack of consideration is disappointing, and I would urge others to think twice before supporting a venue that seems willing to sell out its guests to the highest bidder.
google avatar

Genesis V.

Yelp
My 5th stay. The spa is impeccable. Since the spa is in a cave you get zero reception. If you want a true getaway, this is the place to be. A 20 min drive into the downtown Napa area for food and drinks. The restaurant on premise Olive and Hay is great. Many options and the quality is super fresh. My only suggestion is to not get any of the premade juices from the cafe on site. The cafe used to carry a huge selection but now only has one or two items. Since they don't sell often, the products go bad and I got a bad batch. The renovations are worth asking for one of the updated rooms.
google avatar

Yelp
The overall stay was amazing. My parents have a timeshare and invited us out and the resort was awesome. We were able to relax and enjoy the surroundings
google avatar

Priscilla L.

Yelp
This review is late because I didn't know how to rate this place as I have stayed here 3 times during Thanksgiving holidays as a guest. I never booked the rooms under timeshare, so if there was fine print on the contracts, I am not aware of. The rooms are great for families to cook and hang out by the pool and explore the resorts campus. I understand housekeeping is overwhelmed with refills on towels, trash bags and toilet paper and can be slow. I am mainly focusing on the customer service which is poor when you lose something in the room. This incident happened back around 2021, I can't recall. But I have attached my email to the resort and got no response. I remember when I left my room, the key was turned in and I exited the lobby and then I remember I forgot to check the drawer where the book was. I asked I just turned in the key 15 minutes ago and would like to go back in to retrieve the book. The young folks at counter said it couldn't be done and security couldn't even come with me. I felt that was bad customer service. It seems this resort hires young people and not know much about customer service. I really doubt my review will make any difference since most reviews are positive. But this caused me great frustration and anger as no one cared about my loss of a book and no one wanted to help ease my anxiety and stress. I was willing to drive back 1.5 hours to get my book back. This sucked my joy from my next visit here, so I will never come here again. Going to Napa on day trip is more my jive anyway, not staying overnight. So from my error, make sure you check all the drawers in your room because once you turn key in to front desk that is it. I guess I will never know the ending of the book then. Oh well.

Yelp
Booked a room the night before via HotelTonight and got a discounted rate. I don't think our stay wouldn't have been worth the full rate, but we had a great stay for what we did pay. Check in was a breeze. The glass of sparkling wine, bottle of red, and boxes of water in our room were a lovely touch and much appreciated! We had a king room on the first floor and it was beautiful! The bed was so comfortable, the shower had great temperature and pressure, and it was nice to have Netflix, etc. on the television. We ordered food to our room for dinner. We ordered a side salad, wings, and a pasta. They were all pretty tasty, but not worth the $100 price tag. The resort itself seemed great! Some of the places were closed due to construction, but there were plenty of other things to do. So many options for wine experiences.

Yelp
Decided to spend a lovely weekend at their establishment. The next day I couldn't get in my room. I had to stand in line three times at the front desk and was treated very disrespectful. I understand things go wrong at times but they could at least given me a refund on the time I spent trying to get in my room. Nothing and was treated very coldly for the situation I was in. They are over priced and the care and serviced sucked.

Yelp
When checking in, we arrived at 3:30pm. Check in is at 4pm. We didn't get a room until 6:30pm because there wasn't a clean one available. Because of this, the kids couldn't swim in the pool on that day as we had promised them. The person checking us in gave us a $100 resort credit for our troubles. At check in, the rate shown wasn't the rate we at which we had reserved the room. It was 50% higher. It also didn't include the $200 of resort credit that we had paid for. Our card was charged before we were presented with this information. When I finally saw the rate change, I flagged it for them. I showed them the reservation, they claimed to have updated our room rate in the system to the lower rate and applied the resort credit. They gave us another $100 credit for our troubles. They said that they would refund the excess charge. Instead, it was added as a secondary charge to my credit card, but I didn't realize this until later. When checking out, I double checked the rate and it was still at the higher rate! I had to get them to correct it again and print out a new copy with the correct rate. Also, the resort credit wasn't showing up on the final bill, so it was impossible to tell if the credit had been properly applied. They had to hand write a note with the charges that were paid for by credit. The resort seems nice, but everything is very expensive, the pool is cold even in August, the hot water in the shower only gets "fairly warm", and the food and wine options aren't great. Oh and the internet connection was 1.8 Mbps. I checked because I couldn't get anything to load. I ended up tethering to my phone so the kids iPads would work. I keep checking my credit card to make sure that the pending charges fall off; otherwise I'll have to dispute the charge with the paperwork I forced them to provide me. Not exactly the relaxing weekend getaway I was hoping for. 2 stars is a bit generous to be honest, but the resort is generally nice, clean and the rooms are pretty good despite some cosmetic damage. We won't be returning.

Yelp
What a beautiful resort with so much to offer you could never wonder. Rooms are comfortable and include a bottle of wine. They have trails through their small vineyard area, adult pool, bowling alley bar, summer concert series with bands like Kool & Thai Gang. They have shops, restaurants, tasting rooms and all sorts of fitness/spa activities. This IS the place to stay in Napa.
google avatar

Angela F.

Yelp
This seemed like quite a lively facility. Adult only pool, spas, gym, restaurants, mini markets, wine tastings venues. But we were there for work and did not take full advantage of their offerings. We had a lovely room with a huge bathroom. Being short, however, I was barely able to get into the deep soaking tub .. but that's where the shower was Lobby bar also serves some food, which was convenient. Very close to many vineyards. Although they had a vineyard of their own, their claim to fame is being a Spa & Resort.. nearby golfing. Also had ample conference spaces, outdoor concert space, walking trails through the vineyard.

Yelp
We recently stayed at The Meritage Resort And Spa in Napa for our Baby Moon, expecting a comfortable and high-quality experience, but unfortunately, our stay was beyond disappointing. From the moment we entered our hotel room, we noticed the bathroom was not up to basic cleanliness standards. The shower had visible mold, and the general area looked old, grimy and poorly maintained. On top of that, there was no hot water when showering! After bringing these issues to the front desk, they moved us to another room. While we appreciated the prompt room change, the second room had no working air conditioning. I was 32 weeks pregnant and incredibly hot and uncomfortable. Despite another complaint, the hotel staff didn't seem able or equipped to resolve the issue, leaving us no choice but to cancel the rest of our stay and move to another hotel. Despite all these issues, The Meritage Resort And Spa did nothing to compensate us or acknowledge the inconvenience we experienced. For a hotel that presents itself as a luxury destination, this stay was far from it. We won't be returning and cannot recommend it to anyone looking for a quality stay in Napa.

Yelp
The resort captured my eye as I made reservations for one night utilizing my credit card points. The price point was lower compared to other hotels and the resorts in the area, but the rooms looked gorgeous that I couldn't pass up the opportunity. This property has multiple rooms, four tasting rooms, several restaurants, and a spa. It's conveniently located in Napa, where you can easily frequent nearby wineries to maximize your trip. Pros: Beautifully appointed resort with several things to do on the property. The rooms were nice with a big shower and the bellhops and receptionists were friendly. Loved the on-site Olive and Hay restaurant and non busy tasting rooms that allow you to walk in on a weekend without reservations. I love that you get a complimentary bottle of wine in your room and two bottles of champagne once you check in with the receptionist. There's also a spot in the hotel where you can eat and play bowling! Vineyard and pool areas are a must visit during your stay. Cons: Unable to get anyone to answer the phone from the room. When you try to call anyone for housekeeping, you get no answer. Also, there was mold noted in the shower and no shampoo! I couldn't get someone to refill it because no one was answering the phone. The drain in one of the sinks was slow to drain, and the vanity mirror's light wasn't working. I've got mixed emotions with this place, and I'm not sure if I would return for a stay. Maybe I'll have better luck in my next visit should I decide to give this place another shot.

Yelp
I already posted my review of the spa (2 stars). This is a review of the resort. We were in room 4341 (Bordeaux). It has a spectacular view of the vineyard. Get up before sunrise and walk the vineyard. It's a great way to start the day. Cons: It's huge. Too many people. The first impression is its very "commercial". The staff at the small Cafe needs lessons in service with a smile. Pros: Generally friendly staff. The grounds are well kept. Great gym. Immaculately clean. They gave us a complimentary bottle of wine. I love the boxed water too. Great conservation efforts visible throughout the resort. Loved the pollinator garden. Suggestions: Consider putting some benches on the vineyard walking track. It would be nice to take a break and enjoy the view.

Yelp
Unfortunately our stay was not satisfactory for the following reasons below. 1. The AC in the room 210 was malfunctioning. It was not working properly and made a lot of noise. 2. The room was missing the wine bottle opener and drinking cups for coffee. We had to borrow/use the ones from the other 3. The pull-out bed in room 212 was not clean. The blankets had stains on them. 4. We paid for two kings but the rooms were not the same size. Room 212 is larger than room 210. When I called to change the room for 210, the concierge that answered the phone was rude and was giving an attitude. Both of the room's pillows had an odor. 6. Lastly, when I personally checked out, the receptionist was very unfriendly and not nice enough to ask how our stay went. I've never stayed in a hotel that's very unwelcoming.

Yelp
A Mother's Day gift from my husband and my second visit here. I had such an exhilarating and relaxing experience with the ocean body wrap and facial. Their spa area has the perfect amenities to unwind featuring a eucalyptus infused steam room and jacuzzi within the women's change area. Spa guests have access to the pool as well. I will most likely visit every year.

Yelp
Had a great time here. Service is top notch. When we first checked in we were hungry. Karina (concierge) was so friendly and accommodating. She left a great first impression. She recommended a great seafood restaurant and made sure we enjoyed our stay. As soon as we returned we sat poolside and was greeted by Dawa. She was so friendly and worked very hard to make sure we were taken care of. Dawa was very personable and caring. Such a huge asset for Meritage. We loved their gym so much, we even bought our own TRX set for our home gym. Our suite was clean and very spacious. Great views. Can't beat the illy coffee. Short little hike up the the grape crusher for some amazing pics. Can't wait to bring the family back here.

Yelp
I had a great time at this resort. Relaxed at the Spa, walked around the vineyard, did wine tasting and had an amazing Italian dinner. I only planned one night at Napa and I am so happy to have found Meritage. It allows me to do everything I wanted to do in Napa Valley. Looking forward to stay here again in the near future.

Yelp
I was invited here for a birthday party, good pool and hot-tub setup with 6 barbecues ready to make some magic. Come to find out this resort has a timeshare area, interesting. The buildings reminded me of some apartments you''LL find typically in Dublin or San Ramon. Decent sized place as they have a concert hall along with vineyards and other surprises.

Yelp
Meritage use to be a favorite and the place we would take out of town guests visiting Napa valley but no longer. Booked and planned a special holiday getaway for our family along with another family. Had this weekend planned since June. Our kids were most excited to skate in their winter village. We purchased tickets to ice skate ahead of time. The other party we were traveling with was notified of a buy out of the rink with 3 days notice. I never received an email or a call. Had we not been visiting with the other party, we would have showed up to skate. We had 2 separate reservations so Meritage did not know we were together). There needs to be some sort of warning on their site that a buy out can happen at any time. I guess they care more about money than the guest experience. My kids are heartbroken and now we are stuck trying to make new holiday plans with 3 days notice. Such a disappointment especially from an establishment that prides themselves on being one of the best. Proceed with caution and don't expect any advertised amenities when you arrive.

Yelp
These jerks sold out their Christmas ice rink event to a single booking!! Cancelling use by other customers who had booked their stay because of the ice rink! Or locals who had skated there last year. They are offering a "full refund", but they don't care whose holiday trip they have ruined! ! What genius is responsible for this??? How many hotel bookings will they loose in the future, knowing this is a "practice" for this business?? Who wants to get cancelled because of greed?? I think they need to rethink their business!!! I'd rather stay at Motel 6 maybe not as fancy, but more reliable.

Yelp
No doubt beautiful hotel and property, as well as a walk through the Vinyard. The reason for the two star review and what threw me off . For the price of the room there was no balcony. We arrived a bit early the girl at the front desk said we will get a text message when the room was available. No text until 1630 so we went back to the desk to be told by another another employee and I quote " yo man I just got on the clock I don't know anything about your room " Again very unprofessional and off putting .

Yelp
Had reservations that were confirmed weeks in advance for the ice rink. Many families were involved. However corporate interests matter more than ice skating fun for families and our reservations were canceled with just a few hours notice.

Yelp
Not kid friendly and overall did not like our experience. Positives: Room was great size. comfortable beds. Water pressure was horrible in showers and took a while to warm up. My husband's shoes got stolen while ice skating and no staff was helpful. We also picked the resort for amenities such as the food. we have kids so we were planning on crush lounge. which when we got there was closed for an event. all other choices were pre packaged (and very expensive for pre packaged) or sit down. We felt the resort catered much more to events than their own guests. there was events even taking over the lobby that was awkward to walk through with kids. Very disappointing because we saw SO much staff around but only seemed to want to be available to VIPs or events. Would not recommend to others. Not kid friendly as we had hoped.

Yelp
Very nice place. We came for ice skating and the place is nice and staffs are friendly. Online staffs are very responsive and helpful when I have questions about booking. Her name is SAVANNAH BARAJAS - Sale coordinator. When We have other questions and she referred us to the right department because it is not her specialty. She is super helpful. We are booking to stay at the hotel in December. Very exciting. Love this place. Highly recommend it if you are planning to stay in the area.

Yelp
Horrible customer service- you cannot count on their events as they will cancel without notice and offer only a last minute refund, but not all of the time and plans that you created for that event with family . They are all about the money and not the customers. We will not be back! If you advertise a skate rink and someone offers you more money to reserve the whole rink - you shouldn't have been selling tickets for that day! You have ruined a family's weekend.

Yelp
My husband left his Jacket in the closet in rm 2106 (11/3/24) in the Chardonnay building and they said I had to fill out a report on ileftmystuff.com?!! Are you #ucking kidding me?? We're VIP for Wyndham and this is the most asinine thing ever. It better be sent to us.

Yelp
This place is probably great for couples but not for a family with small kids. It's in a business park in between Vallejo and Napa. I just call it Northern Vallejo! Not much around the property. So you're traveling to Napa or American Canyon for anything. We used the pool but had to walk across the street to the family pool. Maybe they have a shuttle? We stayed in a room above the bowling alley. It was loud and you can hear it. Wore ear plugs to sleep. Everything is pricey but hey you're in "Napa". Take a walk to Costco and get your pizza and hot dog. IMO it's nothing special. If you're the type that likes to spend more to feel special it's great.

Yelp
For anyone considering having a wedding here: I emailed them for a quote with all my specifics and they replied saying my inquiry was assigned to "Wedding Sales Manager, Thea Howkins-Knotts". They asked for more time to process and that they would reach out when ready. They never reached out and in the meantime I found another amazing venue in Sonoma. It was a bummer because the photos look really nice and I'm sure it would have been a great venue for a wedding. If new sales inquiries are handled this way, I can't imagine what it's like to actually work with them once it's booked. Others have mentioned lack of communication/responsiveness as an issue as well.

Yelp
Came here for a Bachelorette party, and the hotel was okay. The key factor for me in why it was just okay is that it was very, very far from everything in Napa, so I wouldn't come here again. That being said, if I came here for a conference like my husband did, and that was the sole reason for my trip, perhaps I would come again. This is just one of those resorts that's huge, where they have tons of activities for you to do and stay allllll day if you want to have some family fun. But aren't you up in Napa to wine taste, etc.? So there's no point in having family fun at the resort....right? That is just my opinion. The room I stayed in was a little dated, but also still quite cozy. I think our bathroom compared to another room was updated with the LED lights around the mirror, and our room overall was very spacious and clean. I appreciated that they had a cute little balcony to the courtyard, and a real-sized mini fridge, with an actual freezer, if that makes sense. I felt like the layout of the hotel felt very strange though; very big and hard to find things. Also, the layout was not very intuitive for several aspects - one is that the restaurant Olive and Hay that we went to had signs from the lobby, but once we passed through the ballroom, it looked like we were heading in the wrong direction, when really, we just had to walk outside from the ballroom to get to the restaurant (like what?!). Also, one of the buildings for the rooms really seemed like we'd be on the 4th floor from the room number they assigned; but there was no 4th floor at all. Then it took us a while to figure out what floor we were supposed to be on. Things like that...not intuitive. Service overall was pretty friendly. They did give each room free wine (never did try it yet), a bottle, and also on your first night checking into the hotel, in the lobby. But in some ways it was a miss too, for instance, we asked for late checkout, but heard different things from the front desk when each of us asked. When I called, they told me there would be a fee if we checked out past 11am. Then someone else in our party called, said we were dining in their Olive and Hay restaurant, asked if we could have late check out, and they said 12pm was fine without charge. So I don't know...strange overall. Be consistent!! Decent hotel, average, fine, wouldn't go back if staying in the area just for location.

Yelp
Massive property, so it feels a bit commercialized but I knew that going in based on photos and visits to the website. Booked an overnight stay based on the Christmas kid-friendly specials at the resort: big Christmas tree, fake snow, random Santa sightings around the property, Christmas day brunch by the rink ($50/pp), and other fee based activities like ice skating and private igloo roasting marshmallow experience. I was mostly interested in the fake snow and Santa story time/sightings but both of these were no where to be seen during my stay (Christmas Eve and checking out on Christmas). There were a lot of kids of all ages during our stay, well into the night by the rink so I thought Santa walking around for a bit more until 6 or 7pm would've been appreciated. Also trying to find answers for these events was a lengthy wait via email, their automated phone number is mostly unanswered after numerous attempts. Good thing I didn't book the brunch either. It had to be made through tock which required another $3 fee and with a baby in tow, you never know what might happen. We decided to check it out anyway on Christmas morning and walked to the rink, zero people. Went back to reception to find out it is located at the ballroom which is nowhere near or with a view of the rink. Maybe it's cos of the high demand they moved to a bigger space, and did manage to see buffet stations both indoor and outdoor. I'd say the buffet brunch was more of a convenience factor on a holiday rather than a fully decorated decked out in spirit gather around the table kind of brunch. We ended up going next door at Olive and Hay where it was a bit more quiet and farmhouse decor, which was probably more enjoyable than being in a ballroom. Hotel also claims to have a shuttle going into downtown but I didn't see any of this at the lobby where cars were pretty stuffed trying to check-in...so if any of the amenities are important, definitely do some homework. Hotel room wise, it's very spacious; each room with a balcony and his/hers bathroom sink. It's a bit dated and not as 'in the vineyards' picturesque - don't expect to walk around the grounds and finding opps with lots of greenery or nature because there really is none (this is really based on location, and not because of the winter season). There were 3 floors at the building we were in (next to Crush lounge) and I'd recommend staying on the 3rd floor if possible. Omg, you could hear EVERY SINGLE STEP above. Other room amenities include a complimentary bottle of red wine, a mini fridge w/2 bottles of boxed water, and cloth slippers.

Yelp
We paid for the pool day pass over a month ago and were told AFTER settling in that the pool was going to be closed for a private event after 12 pm. This was not relayed to us by the front desk when we were checking in. They told us we could go to the pool across the street which is NOT 21+ over only. The only reason why we chose Meritage was to get away from the children, so why would we settle for the family friendly resort? I can't believe they thought it would be okay to give us a last-minute notification and think everyone would just accept it. We didn't even get a partial refund. Extremely unprofessional and surprising from a "high end" resort.

Yelp
This review is for the Brit Floyd outdoor concert, part of the Blue Note's summer sessions. Great concert and venue for an outdoor concert. Lots of booze and food options too. The tiny chairs zip tied together could be upgraded for sure. Tickets were not cheap, so put some money into that. I got a non alcoholic Heineken for eight dollars. Parking was $18 which is pretty spendy after buying a ticket to see a concert and the parking lot was a block or two from the venue so walking back in the dark proved to be a challenge for one lady we stopped to check in on, who seemed to be lost. I would come back for a concert.
