Delicious food, the portions are HUGE even for lunch, highly recommend sharing! But the leftovers we did have were still great. I had the Fried Chicken, it comes with Spinach soup (which I would’ve had on its own, it was the best soup ever) and coleslaw and a fresh biscuit covered in honey! My fiancé got the Smash Burger it came with Fries with a special sauce that was as if you were having fried pickles, so good!

Google
Call me biased but this is my favorite spot in Sedona cause the food is absolutely delicious. Sure each plate runs about 30 bucks but the food tastes amazing, service is stellar, and portions are huge. Best part, if you time it right, you can enjoy a brief walk to see the Sedona sunset from top of the mesa. Quick note: this place gets packed quick so try to reserve ahead of time.

Google
We selected the Mesa Grill Sedona on a recommendation, and it totally delivered. The atmosphere, service, and food were all fantastic! We enjoyed the guacamole/salsa, the ribs were fall off the bone delicious, and I also had a well crafted elixir of life cocktail 👍🏼👍🏼 Our server Carlos M. was very attentive and professional, ensuring our dining experience was enjoyable! The location is perfect to watch the sunset as the elevated views are stunning! Special shout out to Celeste, at the hostess stand, and Darius, the manager. Thank you both for the warm welcome greetings. I will definitely try this place again and highly recommend checking out Mesa Grill Sedona!

Google
Delicious dinner while visiting Sedona. We made reservations because heard that it’s always busy. Excellent servers and staff. Very clean and well run. Food presentation was exceptional and the food tasted great. Portions were large and things tased so good we didn’t have room for desert.

Google
We enjoyed our dinner there so much we went back a 2nd time for drinks. Food was delicious and staff was attentive. It’s a busy place no matter what time you go. We made reservations & I strongly encourage this. Drinks were amazing. Whole vibe was energetic but not stressful. Get extra busy just around sunset with folks parking across the road to view sunsets but they have their own parking area. Was fun sitting watching the planes takeoff.

Google
Mesa Grill Sedona was recommended to us from our Segway Tour guide. It did not disappoint! First of all, the drive up airport road to the top to the mesa is breathtaking! The view of Thunderhead Mountain and pretty much the whole valley was gorgeous from up there. That alone was worth the drive…but it gets even better! The exterior of the restaurant itself is nothing to rave about…it’s located at an airport strip, after all. But once inside it has almost an upscale vibe, though patrons were mostly casually dressed. It was a sunny but cool-ish day, and we were sat outside on the covered deck with heaters above. Our party of six ordered only three different dishes - the most popular are the fish & chips and the sourdough smash-burger but one also ordered the BLT with chili and house salad (has berries and pecans in it). The portions were plentiful, more than filling, and the flavor was amazing!! Our waiter was kind but we had to flag him down a few times for water refills. Prices seem comparable to just about any decent restaurant in town - Sedona is expensive. Haha However, the portion size, the quality of the food, and great taste was well worth the time and money spent. Will definitely eat here again the next time we’re in town!

Google
What a wonderful establishment & the perfect place to have dinner with a sunset view. We had reservations but ended up arriving early. We started with a drink at the bar, Ryan, the bartender was awesome. Then the manager, Darius, accommodated sitting us early. We chatted with him for a bit and he is super charismatic. Our server, Ernesto, gave us great service. He was super attentive & friendly. He made excellent recommendations. We had the Blackened salmon & 1/2 rack BBQ ribs. Both dishes were extremely delicious and very hardy portions. Diego, the server assistant that brought out our food was very nice and took a fantastic photo of us at our request. Everything from the moment we arrived made our experience wonderful

Google
We had high expectations based on the reviews. Hotdog - 2/5, fries were more like potato pieces with some sweetener added 2/5, fried chicken was crispy and heavily coated in a honey like sauce 4/5, biscuit was cold and looked and tasted more like a muffin 2/5, carne asada was a little chewy but seasoned well 4/5, beans were salty and had an strange taste 1/5. Great service. We would not return.

Yelp
Paola was AMAZING! friendly and attentive! the food being perfect was a plus! Thank you Paola we will be back soon!

Yelp
Came here for breakfast. The food was fabulous. In addition, the service was just as good. Jose had a great attitude and provided great service. Would definitely come back.

Yelp
Our overall experience here was excellent due to the quality of the food and being waited on by the bartender. We walked in after 2 and the couple in front is were told they had a limit of 1.5 hours due to incoming reservations. It truly bugs me when there are lots of tables empty even after we finish our meal. I asked if we could sit at the bar and the hostess said okay. BTW, she didn't offer it. Once seated we ordered the turkey wrap and chicken salad sandwich plate. It took a bit to get to us but when it was delivered, wow! My chicken plate was delightful! The arugula salad was topped with big blackberries, blueberries, strawberries, grapes, candied pecans and blue cheese crumbles. The chicken noodle soup was very tasty and the chicken was tender. The sandwich is made with a toasted croissant, arugula and their house made chicken salad which included grapes. I give my dish 5 stars. Hubby had the turkey wrap which had avocado, bacon, craisins, lettuce and sliced turkey. And the fried potatoes were so different and seasoned deliciously. Parking was easy as they have signage. I'm glad we walked in because getting a reservation, especially at sunset is impossible. The view of planes moving around is fun as well. If you get a to have a meal here, do it!

Yelp
We came for lunch before the crowd. We sat in the covered patio. Seating was comfortable and food was great! We tried shishito peppers which were tasty. Veggie sandwich, smash burger, beef chilly and chicken pozole were all very nice! The low rating is for service. One older waiter (with pony tail and goatee served a table next to us even though we had been sitting and waiting a little while. Never addressed us. He was serving the other two tables also. A young tall waiter came after 20min. He didn't smile, didn't introduce himself, didn't ask if we wanted any drinks besides the water he brought; he never offered any daily specials they may have had. He took the order then never returned during our 1hr and 15min lunch. The hostess came to pick up our plates and bring the check. She apologized for the delay and gave us a 5% discount. Obviously they were well aware of the lack of service we were receiving compared to other guests. All other tables around us were getting served and checked-on. I left a written review that came with the check noting that I wanted to try the hibiscus sun tea but never got to order it!! But leaving another review here in case the paper one "disappears" We were the only Asians in the whole restaurant...I wonder...

Paul B.

Yelp
Highly recommended but found it to be just ok. Does have a nice casual vibe as it is on the Sedona airport with small planes landing and taking off Had the fish and chips which were tasty but not hot. Also had a good margarita. Nice place. Reasonable prices Plenty of parking

Lexi S.

Yelp
I don't get the hype. It's fine, but it's nothing to write home about. The menu feels all over the place to the tune of Cheesecake Factory variety. We ended up getting the calamari, Mesa salad, and prickly pear lemonade. The server decided to let us know the calamari was gluten free, but fried in the same fryer as gluten items (hint: that is not gluten free, regardless of what flour is used for frying). The Mesa salad was pretty good, but the prickly pear lemonade was akin to cough syrup. Unless you are a fan of aviation to the point that you would like to watch planes intermittently take off for your lunch hour, I would say park and sit on the little green space behind the restaurant without spending a dime. When you've got your fill, head out and eat somewhere else.

Yelp
After hiking the Airport Loop Trail, we decided to stop by Mesa Grill Sedona, and it didn't disappoint! This casual spot offers incredible views of the Sedona mountains, making it a perfect place to relax and refuel. We ordered sandwiches and fries, which were delicious and hit the spot after a long hike. While waiting for our food, I noticed awards on the walls for "Best Breakfast" over the past couple of years. That definitely caught my attention, and I'm already planning to come back for breakfast the next time I'm in Sedona. I highly recommend giving this place a try--great food and great views.

Michael C.

Yelp
Really cool little place right on the Sedona airport. Natural lighting and atmosphere are super on point here. My server was great vibes and made the dining experience great. Food was tasty and service was good.

Anfeca A.

Yelp
Mesa Grill in Sedona is one of our top breakfast spots--wish we lived closer! We absolutely love restaurants that overlook the tarmac, and watching the planes come and go makes the experience even better. The view is beautiful. As a Chef Mercer restaurant, we had high expectations for the food, and it didn't disappoint--it was phenomenal! We ordered the buttermilk biscuits & sausage gravy, and let me tell you, that gravy is absolutely to die for--so good! The portions are HUGE. We shared the plate between us and still needed a to-go box. While I enjoyed a mimosa and he had a screwdriver, we only ordered one drink each with our meal. As he put it, "This tells you how good the food is because you're enjoying it so much, you can't put the fork down to take a sip of your drink!" A couple of things to note: They are busy, so a reservation is strongly recommended. We were lucky to get a seat within 20-30 minutes without a reservation on a Sunday morning. There are only two single-person bathrooms (no stalls), so you might have to wait in line. Just keeping it real! We love this place and will always make a point to stop by whenever we visit Sedona. It's easily one of our Top 10 breakfast spots!

Aruni G.

Yelp
During a girls trip in Sedona last week, we ate at Mesa Grill during the sunset. We had beautiful views and we really enjoyed the food. We went outside for some sunset shots while waiting for our food. Service was a little slow at first but picked up and our nice waiter let us squeak into Happy Hour deals! I remember going here once before on a prior trip to Sedona but this time seemed even better. Maybe I wasn't there at sunset the last time. It's a good idea to make a reservation because they were pretty full at that time of day.

Adrienne M.

Yelp
A nice place hidden in the back of the Sedona Airport. This was also very close to one of the Vortex areas. Cool. Service was great. The young gentleman at the bar took great care of me and my bestie! We enjoyed 2 spicy margaritas with their ceviche! Both were fantastic! The food was fresh with a good portion. Great vibes awesome service and great peeps. The bestie and I enjoyed every minute! Can't wait to come back to try more menu items.

Yelp
We had heard about this restaurant, the Mesa Grill at the Sedona airport, we ate there, and were blown away, the food was actually outstanding, Service spectacular, restaurant, bathroom spotless, I could live in this restaurant. Specifically, I had the biscuits and gravy, it was spectacular, one of our parties had the fish and chips as good as the Dearborn in Chicago, and another had a salad with salmon on it perfectly cooked. The last place I would ever expect great food would be at a small airport, but I stand corrected.

WD S.

Yelp
Fish and chips were good with more of an American flare versus European but great flavor and not greasy. The chicken schnitzel was tender and very flavorful. Large portions of both. Darius the host is a delightful person and fun to talk with. Christian our server was always attentive. We shared the red sangria and the elixir of life. The sangria was good but more sweet than I remembered from Spain. The Elixir of life is good if you like gin. The patio was nice but the plastic tarps are a bit hard to see through taking away from the view. We will go back

Lalanica C.

Yelp
What a fun spot for this restaurant with views of the red rocks and the airstrip to observe the little planes flying in. Brunch/Lunch was great. Lots of options and hefty portions. And good flavour all around. Our server was great and checked on us many times.

Stacie B.

Yelp
While traveling through someone mentioned the Mesa Grill but mostly for the views from a nearby overlook. We decided to check out the view and while there also walked over to have brunch. We didn't have a reservation but we're seated pretty quickly, but I am thinking for busy times a reservation might be wise. The ambience is muted but with lots of amazing views of the surrounding area and airport runway. A fun spot! The brunch menu was fun and I loved my asada salmon. My friends fresh biscuits and gravy were delicious she said, and overall the flavors were right on point. I found the dish super filling and even had leftovers! We throughly enjoyed the space and found the staff to be friendly and helpful. I'd go back again for another option. It is a bit pricey so keep that in mind, but worth a fun visit when traveling past.

Yelp
Such a cute place! It was so fun watching the airplanes come and go, I was nervous that none of them would even move haha but we saw several come and go. The food and service were great, we visited Sedona for my birthday, my boyfriend secretly told our waiter and the birthday dessert was comped which most places charge now so love that!

Maiko K.

Yelp
Absolutely loved this place!!! Mesa Grill will now be my must-go spot everytime I visit Sedona!! Their brunch menu is amazing and everything I ate was DELICIOUS!! You just have to go there! Outside seating is covered so it was nice even on a hot day. Being able to see planes/helicopter take off is cool too! Highly recommended!

Shauna B.

Yelp
Enjoyed a side dish of Elote Grits while watching planes on the runway. The scenery, experience, food, and service were excellent. Fun place to check out in Sedona

Elizabeth A.

Yelp
Our server was great- wish I remembered his name! He was friendly and greeted us in less than 5 mins of being seated. He was knowledgeable about the menu and continued to check in on us without being overbearing. We came on an overcast day, as it is was monsoon season, but the server reassured us that the day of "traffic" with the planes really is hit or miss since it's a private and smaller airport. Kind of made me feel better lol let me also just say, the view was awesome esp the drive up, despite being overcast. I ordered the prickly pear margarita which was great and we got the tableside guac which was phenomenal! The guac was fresh && I did not have a bad guac while in Arizona but this was hands down the best we had during our trip. The chips seemed to be made to order, cause the second batch we asked for (it was so much guac! ) was just as hot and delicious as the first! Only complaint, the hostess had us standing waiting for a long while before even looking up at us and greeting us. She appeared to be busy on her phone, but I could be wrong. Overall, would recommend for the views && food ! (I used to be both a hostess and server and know this experience - both being greeted/welcomed AND the dining experience - are equally important)

Joseph R.

Yelp
Love the location and the views up there are stellar. Had a very good dinner and the ceviche appetizer was awesome. Rib eye was a little fat but loved the char and it was cooked perfectly. Service was top notch and we enjoyed our dinner.

Mary G.

Yelp
We've been to mesa grill several times and it's always amazing! Parking: There's plenty of parking up there and it's a shirt walk if you're going to the overlook to watch the sunset. Food: The food is always solid ! This time we went for dinner and the pasta was amazing ! We did get the pepper app too but it was almost too hot for us. Service: The service is good. We had a group of 6 so it took a while to be sat since they don't have many tables for larger parties. They did put some tables together for us though. The views here are amazing too !

Hillary A.

Yelp
Eh. We left disappointed. I don't understand the hype maybe we ordered the wrong items. BlackBerry jalapeño marg- strong, nothing wrong with it Crab stack- lacking flavor Shrimp and grits- odd, watery grits, strange combinations in the dish. We shared it and didn't even finish it. I didn't get a photo of this. Would I return? No

Jim R.

Yelp
We went on a Saturday night and made reservations through their website. Easy process. Was quite busy when we arrived and were immediately seated. Here's what we liked: * The table side guacamole was delicious. Warm chips and tasty. * The hibiscus tea was also quenching and flavorful. * Service was attentive and helpful. * The beans as a side were delicious What we thought could be better: * The ambiance was similar to a high school cafeteria. Very loud and chaotic. * The view is just ok compared to other places. * The Elote corn was so over cooked and hairy. Just not good. * The ribs also severely over cooked, and covered in a salty rub that was too much. * The beans as a side were smaller that a shot glass. * Prickly pear margarita was lacking flavor. Overall the hype did not live up to what we were expecting. Mediocre food and a crazy hectic atmosphere.

Brooke H.

Yelp
This is our favorite breakfast place in Sedona. You can't beat the views or the tasty food. We stopped in last weekend and enjoyed their excellent coffee, pancakes, and eggs benedict. It looked like they were short staffed but our server hassled. She was friendly and attentive. This place consistently delivers!

Andrew U.

Yelp
Stopped in for breakfast after hiking the Airport Mesa Trail Loop at sunrise,,, the Chilaquiles was amazing and they have great coffee too! Service was excellent... friendly and fast!

Melvona A.

Yelp
Food and service are great!!! Not much on the view unless you enjoy small planes landing and taking off. However the food is great!!

Bob W.

Yelp
As a private pilot I can assure you that for an airport restaurant they have great food and drinks. Great place to watch aircraft take off and land.

Nik N.

Yelp
Long wait for drinks while waiting to be seated. Told it would be 45 mins but got seated in 15-20 mins. Friendly servers and the bartender was doing his best working solo. Fish and chips were decent but not amazing, hummus and tabouli were tasty, the peppers left something to be desired. Noticed they had the same sauce for the fish and chips and the peppers which was a bit odd to me. View, was okay- located next to a helipad and private airport. The traffic up close to sunset was understandably busy. Would definitely call ahead and place reservation if I go back.

Marina E.

Yelp
The food is very delicious! I ordered salmon and vegetables, and my husband ordered white fish. Both dished were very big and tasty. The service is outstanding. Our waiter was coming to us every 3 min, to check if we are happy or if we need anything Also, the location of outstanding. The driving road opens such a great view. I highly recommend this place.

John H.

Yelp
The view is really what makes this place. The service was attentive and there's a fire pit outside if you need to wait. The drinks were a little too sweet and expensive, but the food was fantastic. They are not kidding about the famous fried chicken and even their chicken sandwich, which is often simple on a lot of menus was really delicious. Highly recommend if you're in the area this is a must stop to see the sunset and then get some food here.

Sunny C.

Yelp
We made dinner reservations and were so glad we did! They were booked and walk-ins were being turned away due to the long wait. We ordered the shrimp cocktail, fried chicken, and fish and chips. The fish was cooked perfectly and tartar sauce was delicious. The fried chicken was crispy but nothing too special. The shrimp cocktail is a must-get. There is also a dog menu along with a message from the chef making sure your dogs receive VIP treatment!

Ata M.

Yelp
Easy drive to the restaurant, at night it can be a little difficult because of how dark it is. They called us to offer an earlier time which we appreciated because originally the only time available was 8:30. Service was ok, nothing special. The food was good. We had the ceviche (not pictured) to start which was probably the best dish, a little spicy. Only weird thing is it had lettuce, which I've never had in ceviche before. Portions are pretty big.

Pamela P.

Yelp
I ordered the red trout with jalapenos grits and a berry side salad with hibiscus tea and my husband had the fish and chips with the prickly pear margarita. Every bite and drink was heavenly! I'm from New England and the fish was better then any I've had back home.

Samantha V.

Yelp
Woweee for an airport diner this food was Fresh with a capital F! Came on a Sunday as a party of 3 with a reservation and although we were a tad late they were able to accommodate us no problem. It was almost impossible to choose what to eat because everything looked so delicious but what I can recommend is the Hibiscus sun tea (not pictured) the eggplant "meatballs" (gunna need to hunt down this recipe, they had a book for sale there) the elite and grits (order as an add on to a salad or a meal) the wedge salad and the fried chicken with soup! Bite after bite was flavorful and fresh. The friend chicken was juicy and delicious and although these meals can be considered "heavy" I left feeling satiated enough to go on with my day. The service was fabulous, friendly, and attentive. The hostess had a big group come in before us and was unable to accommodate them but helped them get situated at another local spot. There was always someone on top of drink refills before we even had to ask! Bottomless water- yes please! The views alone at this spot would leave me coming back so it's a major plus the food is just as epic. Hoping to check out a little airport loop trail next time I am able to visit with lunch (and dessert!) as a reward.

Kathryn M.

Yelp
Mesa Grill was suggested by our hotel and did not disappoint! Can't find a much cooler spot to enjoy a meal, while watching small aircraft land/takeoff! We had breakfast & lunch and enjoyed everything we ordered, especially the cocktails! The Blueberry Collins was particularly tasty. Our first experience was so good, we visited again on our way out of town!

Jeffrey F.

Yelp
Been in Sedona a couple days. Food up and down. This is fun. At the airport. Excellent staff and interesting menu. Would come back. Try it!

Lauraine E.

Yelp
Great view during daylight hours, great service, and a great happy hour! We enjoyed the service and the food immensely. Highly recommend and also highly recommend you make a reservation. Easy parking as well :)

Julie D.

Yelp
View at the airport is nice. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating for happy hour. Somehow not pictured was my chicken and coleslaw. This was moist and meaty. Coleslaw was crunchy and good with jalapenos. The chicken sandwich was delicious. Snitzel chicken was cooked perfectly and pounded thin. The drinks were fabulous, my pineapple stoli martini was the best. Happy hour was worth it and the place got packed. Service was top notch.

Karlene R.

Yelp
I had been going to another breakfast place all week and decided to change it up by coming here based on a strong recommendation from my hotel. This was seriously the blandest breakfast I've ever had. I ordered lemon ricotta pancakes and thought they'd made a mistake and given me plain pancakes, because there was not an ounce of lemon flavor in the pancakes. The egg white omelette with spinach was also tasteless, as were the side of colorful breakfast potatoes. I didn't understand it. The one upside is that my server was very kind, and even though I didn't ask for it, he got them to comp me the pancakes. This place was overly expensive for no good reason. Ambiance is okay, views not amazing.

Jackie F.

Yelp
The service was great and the views are impressive, but I would be remiss to not let Yelp readers know that just two hours after I left the restaurant I became violently ill at my hotel. My dish was blackened salmon and it tasted good, but obviously something happened in the kitchen during prep to contaminate my meal. After two intense sessions in the bathroom I was no longer sick so obviously the food was the culprit. I did call the restaurant the next day to gently let them know what had happened to me. While the pleasant hostess apologized and took my name and phone number, I did not hear back from anyone later that day. Just be aware that there could be something happening in the kitchen to make some of their food unsafe.

Pat A.

Yelp
Cocktails - Creative and refreshing. Shrimp Ceviche - The best we've ever had. Atmosphere - Cafe style, not refined or special. Entrees - Blackened Salmon - The best we've ever had. Ribeye steak- Nearly the worst we've ever had. Cooked to order, but poor quality in taste. Mashed potatoes were tasteless as well. Elote corn on the cob with grits was over-cooked. Dessert - Cherry Apple pie crumble with salted caramel ice cream was outstanding. Service - Excellent Cost - Everything was fairly priced except the Ribeye which WAY over-priced for the quality. Overall - Great views and service. It was nice but I don't think we'll go out of our way to go there again. There are so many great restaurants in Sedona to try.

Jeff W.

Yelp
Wow, what a great little hidden gem! Came here for lunch based on a friend's suggestion. A restaurant at the local airport? Yes! This is no ordinary airport. Sedona airport provides stunning 360-degree scenery of the see inspiring Sedona skyline. Our seat provided beautiful views of the red rock scenery along with planes taking off and landing on the tarmac. It's just flat-out cool views. Ordered the Shishito Pepper appetizer and found it to be spectacular--the best Shishito plate I've ever had. They were uniquely flavorful and came with a great sauce. I'd come back for the Shishitos alone! For the main dish I had the Kale Apple Salad and my wife had the cheeseburger. Both dishes weee excellent. Service was great. Drinks were great. The whole experience was great and we'll be back here again on our next weekend trip to Sedona.

Marian S.

Yelp
This gem was a place to be! We decided to eat here for brunch before heading back to Vegas. Located up in the mountains and leading up to airport road, this place is located literally in the middle of the air fields. Surrounded with serene scenery of Sedona! We got seated quick and the staff were so friendly and always checked in on us. The food was perfect! We all ate our food with a perfect clean sweep. I ordered their homemade sunrise tea which was not sweet and greatly chill! My family ordered the keto breakfast, breakfast combo, lobster cake plate, and barbecue steak with potato fries. All were cooked perfect to our request and seasoned just right! Definitely would eat here again!

Veronica R.

Yelp
We tried to eat here for lunch and were told we could not be sat... all day. Never have I been told there is not an available seat all day for a group. That's the reason for 2 stars. Multiple open tables around us, and it's 1300 mind you. Not a good look. Not coming back.

Rick T.

Yelp
Keegan was extremely helpful and friendly today during lunch hour. Food and local beer hit the spot in my opinion. Free parking.

Lisa C.

Yelp
stopped by for brunch and waiting 45 min for some average yet expensive brunch. I understand the premium charge for the location...it has beautiful views with a fun feature if planes taking off and landing but it was not worth the hype to us. I opted for the breakfast combo which was ok, pretty standard and something I could have easily gotten at ihop for a fraction of the cost of and likely with more flavor and actually filling. nothing stood out as special at all. Our server was amazing though. He was so sweet and attentive. The other staff was nice too, especially to our puppy who was offered his own menu lol. overall, what is the best selling point to this place is the ambiance/location and service. If you're looking for quality meal; there are other options that are better in Sedona! xx

Jon J.

Yelp
One of our favorite places. Breakfast with the planes taking off and landing is awesome. Service rocks, food is great. Chef Mercer is a legend.

david l.

Yelp
If you plan on dining here, make sure to have a reservation. They do not do walk ins and will turn you away. The restaurant is located right next to the airport so you can watch planes land and take off. Come during sunset for a great view of the light on the mountains. The food was good. Our favorite dish was the spinach salad. The crispy pork belly made the salad. The fish dishes were good. Try the trout. Our server was great and took good care of us.

Michael D.

Yelp
Always enjoy lunch at Mesa Grill. The staff is great and the food amazing. My wife and I have always had a good time here.
