We came late. The service was prompt and the decor was eclectic. 80’s music and a diverse menu. They would do a la carte. True Tex Mex with refried beans and rice.

A long-lasting hidden gem right off of 620. What used to be out in the woods is asking a popular street now, but the backyard oasis is still a surprise. Cheap beer. Quick refills if chips and salsa. And plenty of room for kids to roam (pretty important).

Went there over the weekend and the food was bad and the service was TERRIBLE! 20 minutes to get waited on, 30 minutes to get our food, and 20 minutes to get our check. Admittedly the place was packed but the poor girl trying to serve us was so lost!! Like my daughter said”you don’t come here for the food Dad you come here for the kids”. They have a GREAT playground area for the kids.

4 STARS!!!! Great place for Mexican cuisine. Great service, absolutely great food!!! Prices are very reasonable, absolutely on point with the dishes we ordered. Server and all staff make you comfortable and welcome. There are lots of tables, so most of time, no waiting. Kids play area in backyard area, tables for parents to sit and watch from in shade, fans available I believe. Just a outstanding restaurant. All staff friendly and helpful.

This establishment offers an excellent ambiance and exceptional food quality. I highly recommend it.

Chimichanga is the best! And if you've never had one Mesa Rosa has a great one! Food is always great. The park got updated too!

Google
Abas the manager was rude , inconsiderate and very unpleasant. The service took way too long and the food was cold. They warmed it up in the microwave and tried to bring it back. Very poor quality do not reccomend. Only benefit is play area for kids

Google
The place is on a big property and there is a really nice outdoor area with kids playground and a lot of space. The drinks were really good. I didn’t find there was a variety of food. The salsa from the chips and salsa they serve tasted weird. The food we had was good and it came pretty fast. The server though would come to our table literally every 3-5 minutes and I had to ask her if it was okay for me to sit there and have conversation with my husband while we tried to enjoy our meal. She then stopped coming to our table completely and we had to chase her down for more drinks, dessert and the check. That ruined my whole experience.

Yelp
We came here for the playground and food my kids (5&3) would eat with no complaints. This place was perfect with outside seating close enough to supervise our kids while they played but the adults could enjoy their drinks and food. The guacamole and queso were your standard apps that you'd expect at any Tex Mex place. I had the chimichanga with shredded chicken which was okay. I'm glad I got suiza sauce on top otherwise it would have been dry. Service was pretty good. We got refills on chips before we were empty and didn't have to ask for too much.

Yelp
As the noon sun bathed Cedar Park in its warmth on the tides of March, six high school classmates--straddling the bridge between the youthful exuberance of 18 and the sobering reality of Medicare--gathered at Mesa Rosa for a mini-reunion and get-together. With an inviting outdoor beer garden providing the perfect backdrop to and an air of laughter and nostalgia, the group prepared for a get-together that somehow delivered the expected quality time amid an uneven mix of charm and exasperation. The outdoor beer garden is beautiful--a covered deck and great lawn space that invites you to relax and soak up the Texas sun after weeks of colder than average end to winter. We had a fantastic outing that could have been perfect, if only the service and drinks matched the charm of the ambiance. Sadly, our waitress seemed to have perfected the art of disinterest. Her demeanor quickly set an offputting tone, which covered our table like a little black rain cloud throughout the meal. We found it particularly incredible that she did not know the prices of their margaritas, and they weren't printed in the menu. To add to the frustration, water service for refills was absent, leaving us to navigate our meal without a drop of water in sight. Speaking of attentiveness, chip refills happened once--just late enough to remind you how long you'd been missing them. Salsa was tasty but also not refilled. It was terribly hard to find her for the check and considerably delayed all of us. Truly wretched service all around. Now, onto the menu. The Nachos Delight were a hit, delivering a satisfying crunch and flavorful onion and guacamole along with chicken fajita meat that truly hit the spot. However, the small and weak El Jimador Mexican Martinis were a real letdown--more of a watered-down transparent limeade than the bold and citrusy adult bevy one would expect. The final straw was the bill. Our party was six and we chose to split the bill in half with each couple picking up three checks. A large party gratuity of 20% was added. That's fair. And to show I was fair, I rounded the tab up to the next $10 increment. What wasn't cool was they suggested an additional 18%-20%-25% gratuity atop the 20% large party gratuity--INCLUDING A GRATUITY ON SALES TAX! If I hadn't checked carefully, they were trying to scam me out of a $26 tip on a $59 meal. How do I insert a scumbag emoji? Mesa Rosa has the location and atmosphere to be so much more if the quality of service better aligned with its picturesque setting and tasty cuisine--a place where patience and zero expectation of service might help one to fully enjoy the experience they had to offer. Unfortunately it comes off as a party boat out of water. I wish I had consulted their Zoltar game before choosing to eat here. This was a three star review until I remembered the double gratuity scam. Oh hell no! One star. Not recommended.

Yelp
Came here for the first time mainly for the playground because I have heard great things, it was good! (More geared towards 5 and up) but they had a cute slide for the kids. Service was awful. We sat outside and our server forgot our appetizer and then denied we ordered one when she forgot. We never got it, never got charged but the attitude that came across was rude and short. We got the margarita (just awful) Then we for the Fatijas that weren't bad but the chimichanga was truly one of the worse foods I've had. This is beyond worse than Tex mex. Just dry bitter food. Then the server asked if we wanted a box since we didn't touch the food and we said no thank you we didn't like it, and she SAID yeah the food isn't the best here. Won't be going back. Nice playground though..

Courtney E.

Yelp
horrible entree. the sauce was so rich it was inedible. the shrimp were tiny, overcooked salad shrimp. would not order again.

Kaylin T.

Yelp
I called the restauran. Alex who answered around 21:25 was extremely rude. I asked for the manager he denied me. I hope that this restaurant has a good team, but the way that he answered the phone it just proves that the team isn't the best. He sounds so confident in being rude to customers.

Yelp
Been wanting to try this place for sometime. So sad to finally make it only to get such poor service. We brought our teen daughter and grand baby/ toddler. The play scape was a pleasant surprise however we were seated right night next to the entrance of the playground so we were swarmed by speeding kids all evening. Our waitress had tables inside and then us outside so we were mostly forgotten all evening. There were lots of people on patio, why would you not have a staff out there?? Food was okay at best and queso was not good, velveeta quality at best. Our bill was $89 for 2 adult plates, 1 kid plate, a small queso and my 2 Rita's.... Wow.... Really? This place was more of an overpriced fast food joint with a playground than a great Tex mex location, save your money and go elsewhere

Aruni G.

Yelp
Met a friend for lunch here last Friday. I don't usually venture that far north in Austin for food so it was a nice adventure. The food was decent but average Tex Mex. The margarita on the rocks was solid. We sat outside on the patio which was nice, big, and barely anyone was there which my friend said was unusual. It was a bit warm outside at the end. The enchiladas suizas were a little to heavy on the cheese and cream than I'm used too. They did have a jalapeño ranch sauce that was interesting but I think I'm more used to Chuy's. If I was up that way and had small kids who could enjoy the play area, I try it again.

Yelp
They have a playground! A pretty decorated and spacious one too! A wonderful lighted and decorated patio area close to the playground. Came across this place with a birthday party and noticed how much fun these preschoolers had. Good that was served were tacos with all its fixings. Now, I have been enjoying coming out here often with our North Austin Single Parents group to have adult time in, while kids enjoy playing. Wonderful kids options on the menu. Food is quite overpriced for the quality, if I have to say. But I guess you pay for the venue. Great margaritas, and I tried all on the rocks, frozen, top shelf and they work well with great company too. Surprisingly their coffee was amazing that I enjoyed 3 cups at 8:30 pm. while sitting outside in the cold. Downside was that many of their heaters didn't work while it was definitely colder than 40. Their service was okay, but it took a whole lot of time to get food out. Which I think is pretty essential if you have hungry kids. And then there are all these sings on the patio to tip their service. I think that is very tacky! Sad that it is needed to announce. Ofcourse! But they need to make that service on point first. Their fajita and their Santa Fe Chicken are your best picks. Oh and you will always have chips and dips served, so that's a plus while waiting for the food. They can definitely work on better the timing for food served and upgrading & maintaining some essentials for patio seating (like heaters or a way to attract service)

Brooke D.

Yelp
Came here with a friend to grab dinner and drinks and had a great time. My burrito was so good! The roasted bell peppers and tomatillo sauce in the burrito were great. The margaritas were also super yummy and strong. A tad too sweet for me but I still thoroughly enjoyed them. This place also has the plenty of outdoor seating on a nice day! Our waitress was awesome but we did have to awkwardly wait around at the hostess stand for an uncomfortable amount of time before the hostess came over to seat us.

Yelp
Great patio and playground. My kids love it and as such so do I. Food is hit or miss. Good Guac, flautas. Bean and cheese nachos are good too. Two things that would make it 5 stars for me: BETTER\authentic TORTILLAS BETTER QUESO For the love of god please get new tortillas

Joy S.

Yelp
Service was brisk and on point. Kids had a blast playing on the playground while adults ate. Beer was cold!

Greg H.

Yelp
Shana and I had passed this restaurant several times and it always caught our eye. We said each time we need to try it so finally we did. Cute and fun decor inside and out. Bigger then it seems and has outside seating with a playscape area for children. I had a chicken chimichanga and Shana had chicken flautas. We also had queso with beef and guacamole all of it good. The service was decent, it wasn't crowded but like most places in this day and age a limited staff. We do this thing now where we surprise each other by ordering the first drink for the other person. She got me a specialty margarita and I got her a drink with sunset in the title. Both worked out, sometimes it doesn't but we are trying to expand our alcohol horizons. A weird thing I did notice and we don't eat out as often so it may be the norm now, was the impatience of diners. One couple walked in and almost right away started complaining there was no one to seat them. Another guy just sat himself then went off looking for the server for pepper instead of asking when food came or waiting on server to check in. I will grant the server was fast but not overly friendly nor checked in often. That didn't bother me but I know it does some people so heads up in case that's you. Place gave me the vibe of an old favorite restaurant called LA Fiesta. Overall I recommend this place. Good food and drinks. Fun atmosphere and inside or outside dining.

Yelp
The great - it has a huge area for kids to play. About 1/2 acre that has a large playground and the rest a grassy area. Easily enough space to throw a frisbee or football or whatever. The average - the food. It's about what you'd expect from a Mexican restaurant. We got the PECHUGA FLAMEADO and it was what you'd expect. It is pretty spicy which is nice. The kids got a bean and cheese burrito and chicken quesadilla both of which are a good serving size. They brought out chips and salsa which were also good. The ugly - the deck was pretty dirty. They did a good job cleaning off tables, but not the deck. It could use a good power washing. The inside did look pretty clean though - but we ate outside to keep an eye on the kids. The unfortunate - they are terribly understaffed. The place has a large indoor area and even larger outside area and like 3 people waiting on over 24+ tables. Even the owner/ manager ( just assuming here) was busting his @ss off seating folks, busing tables, bringing folks their food/drink and helping where he could. The entire staff was working super hard. I sincerely hope management and the owners appreciate their folks. Even though they were short staffed, we felt adequately waited on and the food came out quickly after a 35 minute wait. Great for kids, but it's possible you have a long wait because of staffing issues.

Yelp
Four of us got food poisoning. Called manager. He refused to do anything since no one else had called with a similar problem. DON'T EAT THERE!!!

Gail M.

Yelp
Friend's birthday party in back room. Very hot even though I could see ac vents. Chips were fresh & delish. Salsa was awesome. Our server did a remarkable job despite the heat. He was quite friendly and handsome! I had beef crispy tacos. Sadly very unseasoned. Taco shell was fresh & crispy, lettuce & tomato fresh. Just no seasoning. The place is charming. House Margs were good. I'll go back & try again.

Yelp
I was actually looking for a restaurant with a patio where my toddler can run around outside. I'm really surprised how difficult it's been to find one in Austin and the greater area. A Google search mentioned Mesa Rosa which led us here. Mesa Rosa does have a playground outside, however its suited more for kids 5 and older. Nevertheless, with the playground and green space around it, I was happy he could run around a gated safe environment while we eat. It was lunch time on a weekend and pretty busy but we were helped right away and sat at the patio. Our server brought us a high chair, gave salsa and chips, and brought us waters per our request. She took down our order correctly, the food came pretty fast, and she followed up on us on a regular basis. So we received excellent service. The salsa was spicy and on the chunkier side. Wifey likes that, I like it a bit more runny. The char-beef quesadilla came with guac, sour cream, and pico de gallo all of which we asked for on the side. It was actually pretty tasty, though a bit oily. We also got the combination enchilada which came with rice and beans and a hard beef taco. Definitely had ones that that yummier sauces, better quality rice and beans but it was passable. Lots of people around got adult drinks which looked good. I can't speak for it though. Prices seemed on par with other texmex places though you can probably find other places with tastier foods. But for what it is - ample parking, good service, huge childrens play area, adult drinks, and with passable food, I left pretty happy.

Yelp
I've been going to Mesa Rosa (the old location on Anderson Mill was a favorite) for years. I have always loved their food and margaritas. This place has a fantastic covered patio with a bonus beer garden (can you really call it that if it has such yummy margaritas?) and a huge bonus play area for the kids. There is also a huge parking lot so no problems finding a spot even if it's busy. I have never actually eaten inside, so I can't comment on the interior dining options. Even if there is a wait if it's busy, it's not really a problem because of the alternate options. I sat in the beer garden long enough to "just sit" and then they texted me that my table was ready - that fast. It's a bit (not a lot) pricier than other Mexican restaurants, but the food is really good. And who knows maybe that's because of the pandemic. My dining options now are limited to places with the best patios. This is one!

Stephen N.

Yelp
WOW...stay away from this place on the weekends. The staff, including management still haven't figured out how to run the business with heavier guest volume...think they've been open since the 90's. We waited a long time for our food, which the order was incorrect and the margaritas were ok. Crazier, we saw the manager (or owner) yelling & using inappropriate language towards an upset customer...even calling the angry customer a mother f*****. Look, I get it that mad customers who are not being nice to managers sucks...but that's just part of the business. If the manager cannot handle upset customers, might be the wrong business for him.

Yelp
My friend and I wanted to try this place. Both of our first drinks were sent back. Way way too sweet Margaritas. We tried ordering the fried jalapenos that tasted terrible got sent back tried to quesadilla definitely not good. I got the chicken bit tastes like it came out of a can. Nothing was good definitely won't be back. For reference, I don't think I've ever sent back and alcoholic drink before. And I can typically find something I want to eat at almost every restaurant till now.

Yelp
Went here in July. Food was amazing , atmosphere was light and fun. Kids played in the play yard. Seems super big and not busy. Service was mediocre. Going back tonight will review again.

Jake H.

Yelp
Mesa Rosa Mexican Restaurant has a great space with the vast outdoor patio and new playground to keep the kids busy while the parents drink from their goblets. The food was good (flaquitos) and they have a great drink menu (got the peach frozen margarita). There was some miscommunication between the host and servers because the servers were swamped so if you are not in a hurry, this is the place to go.

Rob H.

Yelp
I had driven past this place many times and wife and I finally decided to give it a try in a Saturday afternoon. First impression wasn't good. Walked in and waited to be seated. Seemed to be an inconvenience to do so. In fact, after we were asked how many in our party, the guy grabbed utensils and walked away without saying anything and looked at us like we were the stupid ones. We sat down and ordered drinks. The menus were QR code and that didn't work. Had to fixed website to get menu. Orders our drinks and food. Wife and I both got burritos. They were ok. Nothing to brag about. I got the burrito al carbon (pic). Guacamole and salsa aren't bad. Iced tea had a funky taste like the filter they have on their water system needs changed. With all the better options around, not sure it's worth a trip back.

Jordyn H.

Yelp
$10.99 for guacamole $9.99 for 3oz of melted american cheese, chile relleno was soggy & the frozen margaritas was straight tequila. our server was kind to let me try a different flavor marg but was hasty on clearing our table to attend his 6top...it was 5pm sunday & the place was empty. yikes.

Rozen B.

Yelp
My Sis and I love this place! However, the past 2 times we have been there in the last month with the most recent visit being last night, we have seen huge water roaches in the dining area. Hopefully the owner or management will see this review and seek pest control as we can't enjoy our meals while keeping a look out for these critters

Paula L.

Yelp
Came here with my family because they have an outdoor playground. Like what many reviewers said, the wait was long and service was veerrryyy slow. But the food and drinks were good! Definitely try the crispy tacos, fried jalapeños, and margaritas! One tip is if you're planning to sit outside or have your kids play in the playground, lather up in big spray! We got dozens of bites just being there for a few hours.

Mark C.

Yelp
Came here after kids school play which ended late Friday. Big parking lot and the place looks very cool from outside. The employees were very gracious with our large party of noisy high schoolers. I had the shrimp fajitas and a beer. Ok..... I had two... Food was good but not very many shrimp. Rice was cold but beans were ok. Big platter of add ons. The beer selection was substandard in my opinion. Same standard beers you find everywhere.. the servers were fantastic and we got our food very quickly. Chips and salsa were very tasty

Whitney M.

Yelp
Over all I enjoyed eating at Mesa Rosa. The food came out warm and mostly correct. The waitress handled a big group well. She did not get one of the orders correct but the plate that was brought was enjoyed. I do think they are under staffed but everyone is. My kids enjoyed playing on the playground and were able to enjoy being outside.

Sarah L.

Yelp
Came here Sunday at 6pm. The patio was pretty packed but they were able to seat a party of 8 right away. The patio is a nice chill spot and the real highlight is their large playground for the kiddos, they had a lot of fun. The food however is your typical texmex. I tried their beef fajita taco salad bowl which was decent. The cut of the fajitas was very interesting, they come as squares. Also wish there was refried beans in it like most of these typically come with. They originally brought out the wrong order which chicken instead of beef. I tried one chicken because I would have just kept it if it was good, but it was super dry and bland. The tortilla soup was pretty bland as well. Quesadillas were average but probably one of the safe bets on the menu. I tried a mango margarita. It was strong, however also pretty bland on the flavor. Our sever was very pleasant. We had a whole order of food get placed at our table that wasn't ours, but that was her helper that made the mistake not hers. Personally wouldn't come back here.

Joseph Y.

Yelp
The best TexMex food I have had in a while. Clean, reasonable and great service too. Will definitely come back.

A E.

Yelp
Food is always good, great atmosphere for kids. The service is always TERRIBLE. Putting gratuity on parties over 6 is totally fine, but not paying attention to your table because of a guaranteed tip is basically stealing. They need to care a bit more....

Megan W.

Yelp
The manager and staff sat my party and myself with a service dog and took our drink order and then proceeded to illegally demand paperwork for said service dog as well as questioning the validity of the disability she's tasked to handle. The manager was educated via the ADA government website about the laws regarding service animals and continued to ignore the law and refused to provide his name for an official report filed with the ADA and proceeded to stand his ground and kick myself and the rest of our party.

Courtney B.

Yelp
I have been here many times but THIS time I am finally going to write a review! Please keep in mind this review is solely for the last time I went to this establishment. Last go-round, I had the chicken fajita tacos. I was expecting the typical chicken fajita taco which is usually stuffed with grilled onions, poblano, green and/or red bell peppers, plus lots of fajita-style chicken breast. My taco was not exactly "stuffed" with red bell pepper (I found zero strips), nor stuffed with chicken (each taco had two strips of chicken; but why though?). The taco also came with the typical accoutrements like jalapenos and cheese, which were given in a generous amount. The taco was wrapped up in a soft, COLD flour tortilla, and served sans condiments. At first glance, the Chicken Fajita Taco didn't look like much, but the flavor was there. The little bit of chicken had that nice charred flavor, but wasn't overly dry. The service this time and like many other times here was slow. The bill for my order was incorrect (not the first time this has occurred at this location by multiple servers). The reason why I continue to find myself at this subpar restaurant is because the establishment has a playground for me and my friend's children to play at while we have little moments of sanity at the outside seating area. If you are seeking 5 star service and food, this is not the place. However, if you like sitting outside on a warm summer's day with a frozen margarita; okay then, come here.

Kim H.

Yelp
Wow- what a disappointment. We grabbed a quick bite after a football game and this place was a joy kill. Not only was the server, Hayley, Completely unfriendly, but seemed to be annoyed when we asked for anything- water, more salsa- like we were an inconvenience to her life. I ordered a taco salad- chargrilled chicken.... I paid $14 for shredded iceberg lettuce with some over cooked, under seasoned dry chicken and diced tomatoes. No cheese, no sour cream, no guacamole. Save your time and money and go somewhere else.

Becky R.

Yelp
Top shelf tequila Margarita, combination enchiladas and Pechuga Flameado were delicious. Queso dip is benefited by adding some of the salsa. Andrea served us with grace and loving care.

D K.

Yelp
Not bad, not bad. A family member loves this place so it will always be in the rotation but I'm not a huge fan of Tex Mex personally. I like tacos straight from the streets, SoCal style. The chips here are amazing however. Super thin, fresh, and warm. Their sauces for their enchiladas are average. Chicken is very tender. Oh almost forgot. The waitress/bartender was super attentive and friendly. Not pretentious nor judging. She refilled our drinks without even us asking. The only places where I have experienced that level of service are places where I had to spend $100+ per person. Super kudos to you. Wish I got your name. Trust me when I say that the family member who frequents this place gave her a generous tip since we love to tip big when it's due, and tonight it definitely was.

Marc M.

Yelp
I was accosted by a man in the restaurant bar, in full view of staff and patrons, who also showed me his concealed weapon... I yelled for help and asked for a manager... he showed up from walking distance from somewhere next door.., I asked him to help me with the scenario and to look at the cameras... He took my information and said that he would get back to me... Two days later I heard nothing... When I called he said he was too busy and would get back to me asap... Another day goes by... I called and filed a report with the Williamson County Sherrif Department... They went by the restaurant... Not sure what they found or said... I followed up in person today (3 days later) and I was told by the manager that the cameras were not working... In addition I was told that I was no longer allowed in the restaurant. I was accosted... Restaurant does nothing to protect me. Man who did it left his receipt on the bar... He lives a few Blocks away... Restaurant is unsafe and doesn't care about it's customers protection. I will be filing charges on both the restaurant... And the individual... No one should be allowed to intimidate anyone in a bar or anywhere else with a weapon. Marc

Nikki B.

Yelp
A wonderful spot for those groups with young children. This restaurant has an expansive outdoor seating area with one of the best children's playground areas I've ever seen at a restaurant. Food is great basic Tex-Mex and service is fast and friendly .

Jeff U.

Yelp
So went in just now Smelled like a sewer, awful All over restaurant Cold inside as it was outside?!? No heater? Left before ordering Terrible

Michelle M.

Yelp
We attempted to eat here today. But we left once we were informed that our dog could not be on the patio. Online postings note it as dog friendly however they are not. If you love taking your friendly dog with you this is not the place.

Toni A.

Yelp
Just a good place that serves good Mexican food and margaritas. Place is big, so the wait is usually not too bad. It's always a "go to" when we contemplate where to go.

Stephanie R.

Yelp
Don't come eat here at night if teenagers are working the floor! Came to eat here @ about 8:30 pm and everything started out fine. Waitress got our drink order & food order at the same time. I wish I would have got her name. She had curly dark blonde hair. She was very young and sweet but she never ever came back to check anything but ONE TIME. Another waiter brought our food. I could see her and all the other teen waitresses standing by the doors to walk outside talking and talking their life away. My boyfriend went to go ask them for our check eventually, they just laughed and still did not bring our check! I could see my vehicle from my table I was ready to just get up and leave. Luckily I am a manager at a local restaurant as well and have worked in the food industry for 13+ years so I was trying very hard to be understanding. because I could have and should have just left. Taught her something about not giving a crap. The amount of time I waited for someone to bring me my check was ridiculous. The food wasn't even that good. I waited and waited and waited. Eventually I had to go find her and get my check. The oblivious manager is also standing there by the door this whole time with these waitresses as well doing absolutely nothing. He asks did you need something ? Yes my check!! There was a retirement party that was about done for the night and two other tables so No it was not busy. Terrible service. Mediocre "Mexican" food. Management not helpful whatsoever. Only plus and only good reason to eat here is the outdoor seating and play place.

Shelby E.

Yelp
If this restaurant had better service, we'd be regulars! The owner or manager was so friendly, and the outdoor play area is great. But I ordered a drink when we first arrived and didn't receive it for over an hour and got the wrong food. The waitress proceeded tk say was the food runners fault but I never did end up getting the right food. The staff is friendly, but the overall service is not timely which is hard with small kids. I want to love this joint, so I hope they can get better!!

Yelp
Great family restaurant. Food was tasty, Generous portions. Outdoor play area is large, lots of seating available inside or out. Good waitstaff. Would give it 4.5 if I could!

Yelp
Found a roach in the salad, reported to health department. Service was slow, but friendly. Food tasted ok, nothing remarkable here, except for the obvious. Atmosphere was basic, minimally pleasant. I won't go back.

Yelp
We held a family reunion at Mesa Rosa. The Manager and servers were gracious and very helpful. We decided on a buffet and the food was absolutely delicious! The beef fajitas, cheese enchiladas, queso, rice and beans were a hit with everyone. We also ordered quesadillas for the kiddos. My only complaint and the manager made me aware that this might be a concern was that the party room did get warm due to the July 100+ degree temps outside. There is a huge, outside patio area and a fun playground for the kids that would've been preferable in cooler months but we thoroughly enjoyed our reunion and the delicious food and drinks. I would highly recommend Mesa Rosa.

Yelp
My first meal out since lockdown was at Mesa Rosa. I can't say that I wasn't nervous but it was nice getting out of the house. Drinking water was a little weird and odd tasting. I didn't get sick though ... so there's that. The menu is online via QR code but other than that it felt likes normal restaurant experience. I can't say Mesa Rosa has the best Mexican food but they do have a huge outdoor patio making a socially distanced meal a distinct possibility. Also they put up with all my stupid substitutions so hats off to them. This would be an easy four stars but for the water being weird. My advice: get a beer.

Yelp
I love this place! The atmosphere is laid back, comfortable. The drinks are good, the variety of food is great, and the prices are right. If you have kids, there is a huge area for them to play while you're sitting on the outdoor patio. The service is also great! Hint* try the creamy jalapeño sauce for the chips!!
