"The outpost of Meso Maya in Downtown Fort Worth has closed its doors, but apparently the shutter is only temporary. The closure is reportedly connected to parking issues thanks to the lack of a nearby free garage or lot. A representative for the restaurant says that Meso Maya will make a comeback soon, but no word yet on when that’s supposed to happen. A second location in Fort Worth’s Trinity Commons shopping center remains open." - Amy McCarthy

Meso Maya is not your typical tex-mex restaurant. No refried beans or yellow rice. Black beans 🫘 and white rice served here. They serve some traditional Mexican food such as enchiladas and fajitas. They have been at this location for about 6 or so years. Must be doing something right. My son actually worked here when they first opened and worked about 2 years in different capacities. The food was just as good now as it was then. I've tried different items every time I visited. I loved everything so far. Chips are hand cut and fried every day. Salsa made fresh as well. Leave room after your meal for the blue berry cake dessert, you'll want one to take home. I ate the chicken soup and red pozole. Both are very tasty and delicious. Good for a chilly cold fall day.

The food was delicious, and better than I imagined. I liked the atmosphere here also. It took a good 30 minutes though to get our lunch though, and there were long gaps where we didn’t see our waiter. Other than that, I really enjoyed it.

Came in party of 11 & they sat us on the patio, it was warm but I let the staff know & they turned on the A/C. I wasn’t very impressed with the service, because we felt left out especially since they sat us outside. The vibe was way better inside. They didn’t ask us if we wanted to wait for seating inside or if we wanted to go out on the patio. But we’re all here to enjoy family time, so I didn’t want that to ruin our experience. The food was delicious!! 10/10… we all ordered different plates, and let me tell you the options were outstanding! I had the seafood enchiladas and they were delicious. The only thing was our server wasn’t attentive to us and I kept having to wait and ask her for things, she didn’t seem to care for our table like I would of liked to have experienced here. Maybe it would have been different if we were inside. I ordered plantain to go, & she came back later and had forgotten about it & had to ask again. Smh. But nonetheless, I will be back and enjoy the ambience & great food inside the restaurant! The food was amazing! I will be making a TIktok since I am a local foodie guide! Check it out! TikTok: RubyRosay Ps: I wish I had the option to post pictures but I will post them on my TikTok page.

Food super yummy the ribeye chicharrones was amazing and the seafood poblano had me on cloud 9. Definitely recommend.

Great first experience. Our server, Alandra was amazing! We sat in the open air patio, changed our minds after a few minutes of wind/heat but she didn't hesitate to move us or act fussy. She was lovely and kind throughout. Food was delicious. I tried the pollo taco's (see video) and my partner had the brisket enchilada. We were both stuffed. Great swirl drink, pineapple habanero margarita and Oaxaca watermelon margarita with habanero. It's def not the traditional restaurant Mexican food but feels more like healthier fusion food. Delicious.

Came here for a birthday party. The atmosphere was really nice. The food was amazing; it served sweet tea, which was a nice touch.

Google
Have enjoyed this place for years so I hate to downgrade them a bit but a visit last week indicated they have slipped in some ways. Perhaps it was just an off night for them but our server did not seem to know what she was doing and kept rushing us. When the food arrived, plates that were intended to be hot were barely warm. Lastly, the inside of this restaurant has been inherently so cold, every customer apparently is expected to bring a warm sweater. I'd guess the heavy cranking AC was set about 65 degrees (!)

We stopped in for an early dinner during a drive to the area for other business. We searched for a local restaurant, and the reviews looked good. The ambiance was nice enough, everything was clean and attractive. There were a few specialty drinks and our server made a few suggestions regarding the fact that the spicy drink I was about to order was known to be very spicy. He asked the bartender to back off on the spice a bit. The drink was good. Our food was on the cusp of being just bad. It was ok, but nothing to write home about. There was mostly rice and beans and they were both very plain and only needed to be plopped onto the plate. Being that it was most of the meal, I would have thought they might be something special but nope. Not seasoned well if at all. Pricey for what it was really. There was nothing wrong with the food, I just wasn't impressed at all, and the hubs wasn't either. I've had much better at places charging half the price. Kind of disappointed considering the reviews. We won't be going back.

Yelp
This is the second time my husband and I have been here -- once for brunch after church, this time dinner with some friends. Delicious food, beautiful ambiance, really wonderful service. It was a perfect night so we asked to sit on the patio under the huge tree. The lights, the tree, and just the atmosphere was romantic, but casual. It was the perfect date night spot. We were greeted by our server. She was super nice and patient, gave us great recommendations, and she didn't come to the table to check up on us too much or too little. She really knew how to give us space. The food is always solid. I had the arrachera with homemade corn tortillas. The tortillas were nicely made and the beef of the arrachera was perfectly cooked to medium. It's a huge plate! The portion is very generous. It gave me a total of 3 meals. If I was extra hungry, I might have finished it in 2. I highly recommend the ceviche, the chuleta tomahawk, arrachera, mole de pollo, and the churros. ESPECIALLY the churros. Leave room for this! The chocolate dipping sauce they use is Mexican chocolate. The sweetness and bitterness were perfectly balanced. I would definitely come here again. You will not be disappointed.

Yelp
We went for a late lunch and sat outside. It was lovely day and the food was spot on. Much better value than expected for the price. Service was excellent and we will definitely be going back.

Yelp
I truly enjoyed our visit to this trendy Mexican and Mayan restaurant. The ambiance of this restaurant is fun and relaxed! The service was great and the food delicious! A must visit. The cucumber margarita was refreshing. Carne asada plate was so flavorful, I couldn't get enough. The sweet corn tamale was very tasty. The cochinita pibil plate was also delicious. Can't wait to visit again!

Raquel Q.

Yelp
The food was good I loved the chips and the sopa de lima and the tacos. Our waitress didn't come check on us though.

Khadija W.

Yelp
I came to Meso Maya to eat for a friend's birthday dinner. I enjoyed my meal here, the food tasted pretty good and the service was quick. It's your average Tex Mex restaurant, nothing special. A good place to come after work for drinks with your co-workers.

Alicia F.

Yelp
I've been wanting to go to this restaurant for some time (((not sure what took me so long))) but I finally made it. And honestly I was disappointed, I went with a Mexican friend and we both agreed that the food was just ok. We both had soup and it was just ok, the chips and salsa was just ok too. The house margarita was just ok, even the ambiance inside was ok. Thank goodness for the cocktail or else I would have left in a bad mood Service was good which is always a plus.

Yelp
4.5 Another amazing experience on this Fort Worth trip! We visited the Tanglewood location for lunch, and were impressed by the charming atmosphere, nice layout, and the menu which is a combination of expected and authentic. We were informed by our lovely server that everything at Meso Maya is made on premises, and selected our drinks from their expert bartender. The menu items we ordered were typical in name only; sopas to start, (Pozole Rojo, yum!) tacos, enchiladas, Cochinita Pibil, everything was amazing and on point, from the signature cocktail to the last bit of food on our plates. The freshness was noticeable, prices very reasonable. Nothing but great things to say about this visit to Meso Maya, will definitely return and highly recommend!

Yelp
Cool concept just terrible food. Staff was nice and ok at service but towards the end homeboy disappeared and we were left waiting for 20mins just to pay our tab. Were two big folks ordering food with two big plates and we were seated at a small table that even the sweet girl who delivered our food was asking why we had such a small table so she added another table to give us room. Food was not that good. I asked for medium rare and I was given medium well. The skirt asada steak was tough. And the mole enchilada was trash. The chicken was watered down and dry and the tortillas had a weird taste and texture. The best thing they had to offer was the hot sauce that stuff is so good I paid $8 to get a small pint to go. Beans were ok but the rice was a little crunchy.

Karina C.

Yelp
We stopped by this place after another restaurant had a 50 minute wait. Even though it was a Saturday night, we were greeted and sat right away by the hostess and our server came as soon as we sat down with our chips and salsa and to take our drink orders. I'm really picky so I hesitantly ordered the pollo Serrano enchiladas and hoped for the best..lol. Y'all, I am so glad I ordered them! They were so delicious that I even chewed slow just to enjoy them longer. Yes, they were that good!! My mom ordered the camarones a la diabla and she said the shrimp were cooked just right and the sweet and spicy sauce was really good. We both agreed that this is a place we need to come back to, especially when the weather is nicer so we can enjoy the really nice outdoor seating. Try this place out! You won't regret it!

Yelp
Still popping in here on a regular basis. I absolutely love the soups and the exceptionally delicious ceviche. They're honestly the main reason I go. Add the lovely patio, and always excellent service, and it's just a perfect spot for an easy and relaxing meal. All the menu items I've tried have been fresh and tasty, and the portions are very (too?) generous. Some dishes are not prepared in the style I prefer, but that's just a question of regional recipes, and at the end of the day, they are all done very nicely. All in all, this is actual MEX-Mex food, which can be shockingly difficult to find in this part of the world. It's such a nice break from the pervasive Tex-Mex cooking that we are usually limited to around here.

Jordan W.

Yelp
A nice spot for a quiet margarita in the neighborhood. We stopped in for a delicious and fresh margarita on a weeknight and found their well-decorated bar a calm and soothing spot to relax.

Christina B.

Yelp
Recently had brunch with my sisters and wanted a spot I knew they'd like. I've been here a few times for lunch and picked this spot for them to try. Excellent brunch! Service here is always wonderful. Staff is always friendly, informative and always asked if you've been there before and give you a quick rundown of who they are along with the style of food (because this is not Tex-mex it is authentic Mexican food) Brunch drink specials are $3 for mimosas, bloody Mary's, or house sangria until 3 pm on Saturday and Sunday. Pozole Rojo is wonderful but the pozole verde is phenomenal! There are both small and larger sizes. Mexican toast is the best ever and so much flavor and not overly sweet. This is a bit on the pricier side but brunch here is my favorite and sure to impress others.

Jessica A.

Yelp
Went to Meso Maya expecting it to be crowded based on the recommendations I'd received. However, it was quite the opposite...quiet, calm, and personalized. The server was attentive and explained the menu well. After ordering some appetizers and drink, it was apparent that this place is pretty authentic. The food and service were great! Give it a try.

Jeremy W.

Yelp
I've been seriously craving some Pozole. It really hit the spot for me. Wife got the Carne Asada which she enjoyed. Really love the atmosphere at this place. Will be back.

Steve H.

Yelp
My wife and I went here for lunch today for the first time. I am happy to report we will be returning soon! Service was great, the food was very good. This place is in an area with several good food options within a hundred yards. Hulen is a main road in this part of town, and there is plenty to do in the area so you are likely to have reasons to be nearby. There is a lot of parking but I suspect during peak times it might get tight. They open at 11am, and we got there at 1135. I made a reservation online but only a few of the tables were occupied, so we got a booth near the back, which is also near the restrooms. The staff were friendly and all smiles. They say smile and the world smiles with you- True in this case. They had us in a good mood immediately. It was fairly quiet which I love. Drinks were ordered and appetizers were on the way in a jiffy. Complimentary chips and salsa were quickly served also. The salsa is some version of chipotle and was quite tasty with a mild heat. The chips were made from strips of tortillas and were light and crispy. We both ordered a house salad as an appetizer. The salad was a lime and orange (?) vinaigrette over greens with some apple pieces. It was tangy and refreshing and not overly sweet which appealed to me. The flavors were right on! I had a cup of coffee that was very good and probably made especially for me. My lovely bride ordered one of her favorites, Chile Relleno. I ordered something I hadn't tried before, Cochinita Pibil. I am not a super-fan of chile relleno, but the cheese they used was a little tangy and tasted really good, and the tomatoey sauce the pepper was in tied the dish together. My dish was very good! But I couldn't understand some of the choices they made- The pork was cooked to perfection and was seasoned wonderfully. I was very impressed! I was excited to see the meat was topped with pickled purple onions, but I was disappointed because they were simply blah- no hint of salt or vinegar whatsoever. The waitstaff mentioned that the tortillas were made in house and I had had no complaints with them. Both meals came with sides of rice and beans. The rice was almost unseasoned but had pieces of onions in it. Not sure why they wouldn't add some kind accent to it, but it was cooked right and filled my tortilla. The black beans were nothing special but tasted fine. The dish came with a salsa that might have had some citrus in it. It was ok, but I wish it had been a little sweeter and spicier. Pork loves sweet and spicy. This restaurant could probably churn out 5 star reviews fairly consistently with a couple of tweaks. I am being super picky but I definitely want to try this place again and you should too.

Iliana E.

Yelp
Husband and I came to celebrate my parents 40th anniversary and the food was great. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was awesome. The only reason I didn't give it a 5/5 star is because I feel like you don't get as much food as your paying for. It's a bit pricy and not really worth going back for other than special occasions. I love the place and the food but definitely pricy!

Gina C.

Yelp
It was Cinco de Mayo so we made reservations as we have never been to Meso Mayo. We arrive and the host is inviting and welcoming. But as she is grabbing our menus, a girl quickly walks up to the stand seems angry and irritated. I can see and hear and the girl is saying don't seat anyone else and the poor host responds with, but they have reservations. This was not a good start to our first time visit. We get seated and start to look at the menu. We are both excited as we are new to the area and finally found a place that has Pozole Verde. Some chips get dropped off at our table by a guy but NO SALSA. Our server comes to the table about five minutes later so we ask about salsa and any Cinco de Mayo food and drink specials. Our server says, "we ran out of salsa" and our specials ended at 3 pm. Ummm, ok. What Mexican food restaurant runs out of Salsa?!?! Especially, on Cinco de Mayo! And does Cinco de Mayo end at 3 pm? Not typically so why not have specials all day and not just til 3 pm? We end up ordering the basic $10 house margaritas and of course they get delivered in a small slender glass and we both are finding it hard to taste and or believe there is actually any alcohol in our $10 margaritas. We guzzle them up in literally three drinks and decide to drink water as you can't go wrong with this. We then place our order for the best part we've been waiting for! We each order the Pozole Verde. It gets delivered within 10-15 mins. However, the delivery of what is in the bowl or better yet, lacking in the bowl, is very disappointing. My Pozole Verde has ONE single small piece of chicken in it. ONE PIECE OF BOILED CHICKEN for $15 bucks. The flavor of the soup is surprisingly on point but just dissatisfied and disappointed by so much. We were both excited to try Meso Mayo out but this visit was a BUST.

Courtney B.

Yelp
I thought this place was going to be super packed but as we pulled up to park, we noticed not too many cars. As we walked in, we were greeted and sat within maybe a minute? Ambience was beautiful! Lighting is dim and sets for a laid back yet classy experience. Lastly, the food.... Delicious! My only recommendation is serving tortillas with the entrees. I'm sure I could have asked and they would have brought some but otherwise, no complaints :) I for sure recommend.

Jay O.

Yelp
I scheduled a lunch meeting at the Hulen location. The table we were sat at was being tended by the bar tender . She was absolutely wonderful. No pressure to hurry and order. I ordered the Posole Rojo which was a great starter. I also ordered the ceviche which was also good. The only thing I felt was missing was a hot sauce of some type. The salsa they served with the chips worked but I prefer something spicier. Once we finished eating, she allowed us to work on our computers and kept bringing refills. After I paid the bill, I also left an additional cash tip for taking up her table. Overall a great experience.

Alan P.

Yelp
My bride went ate and brought home the best Mexican chili relleno I have had in this state! Wow! Too special! Taste, texture, chips & salsa , all excellent! As good if not better than any I've had! On par with Cantina Laredo ( closed)!

Alyssa C.

Yelp
I always love Meso Maya and for the first time I tried their brunch. It was good as always and I can't wait to try something new next time!

Kenny C.

Yelp
Incredible food and service. Probably the best queso and honestly the best Mexican food my wife and I have ever had. Will definitely be returning.

Erica V.

Yelp
Chips are amazing. Salsa isn't spicy more like a tomato taste. The queso enchiladas was overwhelming. I think they had too much cheese and it got cold fast. The Serrano enchiladas was good, little spicy but nothing overwhelming. Overall it was a good first experience.

Sindy P.

Yelp
Good is a hit or miss and is inconsistent on quality. Service is good on the weekends and not so much Monday-Thursday.

Danielle J.

Yelp
Came here during lunch time on the weekend. Didn't have to wait to be sat. Received our drinks very quickly. Will say that my mom got a TopoChico and it was 5 dollars for the bottle. For a case of 12 in the store, it only cost 12 dollars. So they are making a killing off that drink. I got a water and Oaxaca. A tequila based drinks with orange flavors. I recommend this drink. I think this drink is worth the cost. Got my brisket enchiladas with queso instead of the recommended sauce. I'm not a fan of the sauce they suggest to put on them. The enchiladas were packed full of meat. The black beans and rice they also put on the plate are delicious. Honestly, I could just eat the beans, rice, and queso with chips and be happy. I need to be more adventurous with the menu and try more things. I just really enjoy the items I always order.

Art G.

Yelp
Food - Definitely not your average "normal" Mexican food. It's a more traditional taste, made in a traditional way. All of the flavors are very different than typical Mexican restaurants. I had the Mole Enchiladas and a Sweat Corn Tamal. The waiter even gave me a heads up that their Mole is very traditional and not like I may be used to. I loved it! Nice tastes of chocolate and mole...very good. The sweet corn tamal was also very good...even though it is a sweet tamal, it is not overly sweet at all. Great flavors. I look forward to coming again and trying more on the menu Service - We went early on a Friday, about 6pm and it wasn't crowded yet so service was fast and great. Ambiance - I really loved the exterior and interior design and decorations. Awesome Native decorations throughout the entire restaurant. I love the look.

Alyssa H.

Yelp
This place is so good. I mean it's just good. Most Mexican restaurants in my experience tend to specialize in low prices and quality that matches those prices (sorry Mexican restaurants but it's the truth) this one however is very different. The food is fresh, high quality and the drinks are fantastic. Highly recommend!

Carin C.

Yelp
Met a friend at this location for a casual quiet dinner. We were greeted immediately and shown to a booth. Chips and salsa arrived immediately and the waiter appeared quickly to take our drink order. We ordered (I had the seafood enchiladas and he had a quesadilla) and the food came out hot and was delicious. They offered us dessert but we were pretty full from the meal. They were great about keeping our drinks filled. We felt welcomed and enjoyed the meal very much.

Elsibeth C.

Yelp
Where do I begin, party of 19 for my niece's birthday, Meso Maya on Hulen, reservation for 7pm, most of us arrived by 6:40 but they refused to sit us at 7pm until everyone arrived, my sister was delayed in traffic coming from Richardson so the manager, who was called by the servers to deal with the request, very rudely and with a totally unacceptable unwelcoming attitude said he would only sit the ones there, but clearly established he would NOT set up a place for my sister and her husband at the table. Mind you the restaurant had zero business, that should have been the first sign to run. We had to share menus because they set out about 10 menus for 19 people. When my sis and her husband arrived, we had to pull up a table and chairs and go hunt for utensils ourselves. It took them a while to come take our drink order, one server for 19 people, the others standing around watching. Lemons were left out of the order. When we asked her for them, she ignored us and walked away. They brought chips and salsa out, salsa was quite gross, might I add. This place is Mexican-wanna-be food, not one bit authentic. Eventually our order was taken by a server who was not the least friendly, no need to offer customer service when you have a guaranteed tip. if I had to guess, I'd say she was either related to the short guy (manager) who gave us attitude when we came in or it's just a standard practice to display a less than kind attitude with paying customers at Meso Mayas. Zero flexibility with substitutions by the way. Waited over an hour for our food. Did I say the place was empty? There were items that were either wrong or missing from our order, in addition the only beans they have contain pork, so if you eat no pork, you're SOL. Quesadilla order comes with more cheese than tortilla washed in a "more-onion-than-avocado guac" and what they call pico, but there must have been a shortage of tomatoes in that kitchen...no sour cream, so "Yes, we charge for a side of crema if you want one" We asked if they could sing for my niece's birthday because, well, I guess we expected them to make up for the lack of everything else, but it was too much to ask "No, we don't sing for birthdays" Food was greasy, overpriced, on top of that you're charged 20% on your food AND your taxes which ends up being about 22% gratuity for the lousiest service we have ever received. The cherry on top was when they made my niece pay for the entire bill, as they do not split checks and because she's the one that made the reservation. My sister offered to pay and they told her "next time" as if we would be stupid enough to set foot in that sorry excuse of a restaurant. I don't know how that place is still in business because they don't have the slightest idea of what customer service is. We will not only not go back, but we will find a way to discourage anyone we know from going through such an unpleasant experience at Meso Maya.

Amanda C.

Yelp
Amazing food!! We found this place looking for margaritas on a patio and this one delivered! We were both surprised by the quality and taste of the food since we hadn't done much research before arriving. Also surprising it wasn't packed on a Sunday, the food came out almost immediately after ordering.

Elizabeth P.

Yelp
We had a bad experience with the service first they sat us in their patio that was empty lots of flies we asked to be moved to the main floor they moved us to the worst spot in the restaurant right outside of the kitchen the restaurant was pretty empty don't understand why they would seat us there food was ok but I feel they need to improve their service to customers this was the first time trying this restaurant but this experience will deter us from going back

Ruby B.

Yelp
First time here, food was .... Well not my favorite, definitely a different taste of what I am used to. The server was super nice and helpful. I did not like the food because both plates were very sour lime like taste. The table was dirty and the wall was full of splashes eww.. We might come back to taste more northern Mexico plates instead of what we had.

Irving O.

Yelp
Had a fantastic dinner recently at Meso Maya. Tried the Pork Budin and was not disappointed. It was a delicious mash of flavors. I ordered a side of plantains with my meal and they complimented the wonderful entree. It was a large portion. The bartenders were very attentive and cordial. I look forward to going back and trying other dishes. I highly recommend Meso Maya.

EM B.

Yelp
So impressed with the food here! Everything we ordered was delicious and the cocktails were great too. Our server was helpful and offered suggestions that turned out to be perfect. We will be back. The " Mexican Lasagna" is phenomenal.

Laurie F.

Yelp
First time visiting this place and it was delicious! We were there for brunch around 2pm on a Saturday so I had a mimosa but I had been up early and eaten so I ordered from the regular menu. I didn't want something too heavy as we had already had the delicious queso and the best chips and salsa I've ever had. Apparently they smoke the salsa which is why it is so dark and the chips too, soooo good! I had the Budin Azteca pollo from the chef's special part of the menu and it was so different to anything id tasted before very fresh and full of flavour, so delicious. The staff were very friendly and attentive and it was a reasonable price. I'm ready to go back and try some more!

Sandi I.

Yelp
Service is good. Chips and salsa are very good. Margaritas are really great. Nice atmosphere. They have outdoor seating.

Noe G.

Yelp
Sadly this restaurant was recommended. Can't review the food because we didn't have the opportunity to try it. We had to leave the restaurant after waiting for our waiter that didn't show up. Food could be good, but sadly not their service.

Lindsey S.

Yelp
Hate to do this. I was so excited, the Yelp reviews were incredible. The ambience looked good and we got to dine outside, but that's where it ended. The food was mediocre at best. We started with the poblano queso dip- this was amazing. The quesadillas were terrible. The brisket taco was okay. The chicken taco was tasty, but the corn tortilla ruined it. The shrimp tacos were flavorless. Have to say the side corn dish was yummy but that's about it. The service was awesome. Servers were nice and accommodating. They even made substitutes. I wish the food was better, I was so excited after reading the reviews and awards this spot has received. I hate leaving negative reviews but I have to be honest with my fellow Yelp community. Very disappointing for our last night in Fort Worth. Hopefully just a bad night for the business.

Beighlie O.

Yelp
oh my GOD. We've been to the meso maya north Dallas and had a great experience, so we decided to give the Fort Worth location a shot. They are, unfortunately, unable to do the chicharrones because of supply chain issues. The server recommended the tostaditas instead, which were incredible with beef. The cochinitas pibil was amazing, with a slightly spicy, citrus-packed salsa that livened up the whole dish. We finished with the pastel de moras, which is probably my favorite thing to eat. Service was friendly and efficient and our server was so sweet. So happy this location lives up to the experience we had in Dallas!

Kevin C.

Yelp
I stopped in for dinner/drinks tonight, and it was great. The host and wait staff are all very welcoming, friendly, and attentive. I tried their Ranch Water and the Mexican Martini, both of which were fantastic cocktails. To start, I had the Signature Guacamole & Queso combo which was delicious and then for my entree I had the Camarones Á La Diabla and it was AMAZING!! The diabla sauce is perfection. I travel internationally for a living and their sauce is comparable to dishes I've had at fine dining restaurants in Mexico City, ... just delicious. My waiter, Benjamin, was super nice, efficient, and made excellent suggestions on what I should order. Also, the friendly manager stopped by my table to ask how everything was going. I would definitely recommend this place.

Yelp
Went to Meso Maya for Rene's 44th birthday, and I've tried the Enchilada Molé for the very first time!!

Yelp
Food was good. Drinks were ok- and service sucked- I'd maybe try it again- only suggestion, don't put crispy chicharrones in the green sauce, makes them soggy - salsa was ok but the not the best

Yelp
I can not think of the server's name (Ricardo I believe) but he was absolutely outstanding. I told him I was adventurous with drinks and he recommended a spicy frozen mango margarita, which was outstanding. The Carne Asada is the best I have ever had, i literally thought about this dish days after I had. The place is spectacular. The service is as well.

Yelp
My friend and I like spicy food. This was not spicy enough for us. Also they only had black beans and white rice. I prefer refried beans and Spanish rice, but it was ok. We ordered guacamole and queso. The queso was very good, guacamole was rather bland. The chips and hot sauce were good. The cheese enchiladas I ordered were good. They do not have beef enchiladas however, just brisket. The service was good

Yelp
Had a great time here. Made a reservation for a Saturday afternoon, sat outside on the deck. Prompt, delicious, it was all there.

Yelp
Service was great. Food was good. Atmosphere was nice, but I didn't like any of the drinks I tried.

Yelp
Shrimp tacos there are my favorite. We going there Friday to try their happy hour will be the 1st time.

Yelp
We LOVE Meso Maya! Everything we have tried on the menu has been amaze-balls. Service is always strong, and the atmosphere is a great mix of small intimate spaces, indoor and outdoor choices, and a grad entryway. We used to drive to downtown Dallas to get our Meso Maya fix, until they built this location. The Dallas store has an outdoor patio and an upstairs bar, which is cool. What I prefer about the Hulen MM is they way they have created a sense of "away" in a large green area in the middle of strip center parking lot. Somehow with the trees and the position of the building, it feels transporting to enter Meso Maya Hulen. Once inside, the dining room is large with several styles of seating as well as a patio area that can be enclosed during unfriendly weather. The FOOODDDD is so GOOODDDDDD. Starting with the complementary salsa and in house made chips. We typically order guac and the Chicharrones. My go to meal is the Budin Azteca Camaron which is extraordinary, I've also tried the Carne Asada which is super tasty and tender. The La Novela Martini is my +1's very favorite drink. The Cucumber Margarita is also fabulous. We've brought many guests here and the response is always thumbs up. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Good service, clean and inviting atmosphere. The food was excellent. Queso- creamy. Beer-cold. Mole-on point!
