"The waffles at this modern counter-service College Station spot come topped with Nashville hot chicken or drizzled in salted caramel. There are plenty of other comfort foods, like decadent barbecue brisket mac and cheese. Takeout orders can be placed online; there are indoor and outdoor dine-in services." - Brandon Watson

Make sure you try this place! The food is so good! The waffles are not your typical hard waffles. These are soft but also have a “crunch”. The chicken is amazing as are the potatoes. Probably the best chicken and waffles in my opinion. I would love to try some of the sandwiches they offer. It gets busy here so you may be waiting.

Google
Everything was awesome. Staff were delightful and helpful. The food was fantastic. The waffle, egg, turkey bacon really hit the spot. What really surprised me was the potato bites. They were amazing and I need to come back to try them. The French toast was a generous serving and surprisingly fluffy. All in all it was a delightful dining experience.

Google
A classic college station brunch spot. I have been going year for years and there savory and sweet dishes never fail to satisfy. Part of the beauty is the simplicity of the dishes - they are all combinations of classic brunch items. I always get a snack size cookie butter waffle with strawberries and bananas. They have a great variety of options as well (but don’t expect many healthy options). Love the atmosphere as well. They have a great pick 2 deal after 10:30 am weekdays as well. Definitely a to go spot for breakfast and brunch.

Dang this place is GOOD! -- end of review! JK 😊 I really liked it and so did my wife. Most of the things on the menu have a kick of spice, so you may be disinclined by that alone, but I found myself liking it a lot more because of that! I had the chicken and waffles with medium spice. It was enjoyable and delicious. I also threw on some spicey honey sauce and it was a very good choice. My wife complimented the side of bacon because she felt it was a good portion of bacon for the price. Happy wife, happy life. We both had coffees and it was really good! The service was great, no complaints there! We were the first ones here right when they opened and slowly some others started showing up. But there for a while it was all ours. We sat outside and enjoyed the view (pics attached). It was a very calming environment and just what we needed to get a break from our hectic routines. We'll be back for sure and maybe I'll try the California Reaper spice next time. ☠️☠️☠️

Google
Wow!! The gluten free waffle is awesome - light, crisp, and tastes like the real thing. I ordered chocolate chips and they were cooked inside the waffle. Crispy, thick cut bacon, and $6 mimosas. So impressed and we will definitely be back!

Google
Portions are generous and tasty. We had the Mess Breakfast, Nutella waffles, French toast, and chicken and waffles. All were great. Of all the dishes the only thing I wasn't a big fan of were the potato bites. I think it was more of a texture issue (too mushy in the middle). Aside from that, we all enjoyed our dishes.

Google
The best chicken waffle I’ve ever had. The dessert waffle is pretty good, too. I’ve left college station and I missed mess waffle so much. I would def love to revisit it when I went back to college station someday. They used to have a food truck on campus and it’s always my first go-to place. The store at the far corner is a bit less convenient. The walk from the campus in the texas summer is not a joke but it is 100% worth it.

Google
Not impressed. We were in town for a softball tournament and trying to find someplace to eat that we didn’t have back home. Saw this place on Google so we thought we’d check it out. Didn’t know that it was paid parking at the restaurant so we drove around looking for another parking option. Come to find out there is a parking garage on the other side of the restaurant/shopping center. We were pressed for time as we were trying to eat in between games. We eventually found our way over there, parked and walked to the restaurant. We ordered at the counter which took a while since we had never been there before and weren’t sure about some menu options. Our food was not that great. Mac & cheese was very bland so we didn’t even finish it, the waffle was very crispy, and the chicken was dry. One of my daughters did order regular waffles and she enjoyed them.

Yelp
Let me delve deeper into the culinary masterpiece that unfolded before us, a breakfast experience that transcended mere satisfaction and ventured into the realm of sheer bliss. Picture this: a bustling weekend morning, the air charged with anticipation as patrons flock to this culinary haven nestled near the college campus. Yet, amid the hustle and bustle, there's an undeniable charm that envelopes the cozy confines of the restaurant. Though space may be at a premium, the choice between indoor and outdoor seating offers a welcome respite, especially on those idyllic weather days. As we crossed the threshold, we were greeted by a team of hospitable staff whose warmth was matched only by their profound knowledge of the menu. With expert guidance, we embarked on a gastronomic adventure, navigating through a menu brimming with tantalizing options. From customizable waffle creations to meticulously crafted signature dishes, the choices were as varied as they were enticing. And rest assured, whatever path you choose, culinary delight awaits. Our culinary expedition led us to sample an array of delights: the Nutella waffle, a decadent treat that tantalized the taste buds with its rich, chocolatey goodness; the Nashville Mac, a harmonious marriage of spicy Nashville hot chicken atop a velvety bed of mac & cheese; and the Mess Break, a hearty ensemble of waffle, eggs, succulent chicken tender, and delectable potato bites. To accompany our feast, we indulged in sides of crispy potato bites, savory sausage, and a refreshing carafe of freshly squeezed orange juice. With each bite, we were transported on a journey of culinary ecstasy. The potato bites, in particular, emerged as a revelation - a symphony of textures and flavors that left us craving more. And the waffles? Each bite was a revelation, a testament to the artistry of the culinary craft. But it was the Nashville Mac that stole the show, its creamy mac & cheese providing the perfect canvas for the bold flavors of the hot chicken, resulting in a culinary symphony that lingered long after the last forkful. Yet, our journey was not merely about the food; it was about the experience - the camaraderie, the laughter, the shared moments of culinary bliss. Whether you're a local seeking refuge from the daily grind, a sports enthusiast catching a game nearby, or a traveler passing through town in search of gastronomic nirvana, this establishment beckons with open arms. So, heed my fervent recommendation, dear reader, and embark on your own culinary odyssey. For within these walls lies not just a restaurant, but a sanctuary for the epicurean soul - a place where every meal is a celebration, and every bite a revelation.

Yelp
mess is honestly the quintessential texas a&m brunch spot. here's a quick breakdown of my favorite menu items: chicken & waffles: - whether you get the chicken spicy or not, they come crispy, juicy, and pair excellently with the fluffy and hearty waffles. - i've tried each of the options for sauces / syrup replacements and my personal favorite is the aioli, it adds a nice tang to each bite similar to a sweet honey mustard (and if that sounds weird with waffles, just give it a shot, it cuts through the juice of the chicken and the fluff of the waffle and really ties each bite together nicely) iced coffee: - for the price, it did not taste bad at all but it was just too expensive for the portion size, in my opinion. although, i realize the price is more or less in line with other brunch spots in the area. buffalo mac & cheese: - everytime i bring my younger brother here, this is what we go for. it's a perfectly cheesy, tangy, and gently spicy mac and cheese with chicken in it. we absolutely love the choice of macaroni noodle as well as consistency of the cheese. generally, mac and cheese can mesh together as repetitive bite to bite when there isn't enough variation from bite to bite, but with the chicken, pockets of buffalo sauce, and pockets without, each bite feels fresh and definitely registers this mac as one of my favorites anywhere. note about ambiance, service, & seating: - service is consistently solid, friendly staff! - seating can get PACKED during typical brunch hours, outdoor seating is available if the weather permits but get there early if you want a good shot at getting a seat, or just wait for one to open up:) overall solid 5/5 brunch spot and my favorite that i've been to in texas tied with the breakfast klub in houston!

Yelp
I had to seriously consider the awarding of a second star and I've decided to do so based on cleanliness and ambiance. These are really the only positives. Staying at The George and here with my daughter for a college tour, so this place was highly rated and nearby. I'm truly shocked anyone could rate this 4 or 5 stars. The problems don't seem to just be a bad day. The food was room temp (waffle/syrup was a little cold) and honestly inedible and not worth the calories. I don't even know what to say other than it's remarkably similar to the McDonalds breakfast plate (McDonalds is better due to the pancakes). Dry/cold bacon. Eggs equivalent to free breakfast at an elementary school. These little hockey puck hash browns fried in old grease and cooled to room temp. The service was totally invisible and flippant. Never greeted. Had to wait at counter for someone to show up. Stood there with zero affect and plugged in order. Immediately left counter before I could ask for a cup for water alongside my coffee. Another customer tried to get someone's attention while they were running food and they outright ignored her. Staff members came out and refilled their own coffee cups and drinks to take them to the back but couldn't run food while it was hot. If you see my other reviews, you know it's exceedingly rare for me to give a low review. I feel it's not always fair to business owners. But someone is asleep at the wheel here. Maybe it's surviving on location and lack of competition. I really can't believe how bad the food was. I wouldn't even know how to tell them to fix it but I never even saw a staff member to ask them to heat it up. Figured that wouldn't even make a difference. Basically just lit $20 on fire and watched it burn

Yelp
A go up and order restaurant. Not much ambiance, fairly simple place. Food is decent - waffles were great, eggs not so good, potatoes are fried and very greasy. Food was delivered as it's ready, so our party received meals one at a time with one meal coming very late. They assign tables when you pay - was a little unorganized - the party of 4 that was right in front of us was placed at their biggest table while our party of 6 was forced to split up. Would be better on busy days to have someone walking thru the line to help assign tables. Not recommended for brunch or if you're looking for a nicer experience.

Yelp
Gave this place a try after looking for a brunch spot. This place did not disappoint. We all left full and happy! Everything we ordered came out promptly and correct. I did have to ask for a side of maple syrup. They brought it out right away. Great value for its price. I will come here again.

Yelp
My favorite brunch spot to stop into each time I'm visiting CStat. While I have eaten my way through the menu YET, I definitely do have favorites. This spot is counter order, and while the line can get long it almost always moves quickly. The waffles are crispy and soft, the cheese sauce they use on their Mac & cheese is definitely proprietary and DELICIOUS, and their breakfast meats are also sooo good.

Scott B.

Yelp
For the price, the portions were a little smaller than I expected. The chicken was perfectly seasoned and cooked and was delicious and the waffle was nice but the (non-spicy) mac & cheese was still so spicy that I had to stop eating it after a few bites. It took a long time for my brother's food to come out even though we ordered the same thing.

Jackie K.

Yelp
My craving every weekend. Perfect for a filling and yummy brunch place. Does get crowded so recommend going early or later around lunch.

Yelp
Located at Century Square diagonally across the Zachry Engineering building at Texas A&M, this was a convenient place to grab a bite while visiting the college. You order and pay up-front, provide your table number, and they bring the food over once it's ready. We tried the Chicken & Waffles, Mess Breakfast and Chicken Tenders & Fries. All were nicely presented, portion sizes are decent, and very tasty. There is an option to make the chicken 'hot' with a specifiable degree of hotness. I tried the 'hot mess' level (second hottest level), and for someone used to spicy food, I can attest that it is actually quite hot. There is a garage with free parking for Century Square near the Star Cinema Grill. Note that this place is open at 8am for breakfast and closes at 2pm.

Cielo T.

Yelp
Nice patio to enjoy the day. Service was great. Food was okay. I got the Mess breakfast with chicken and a side of Mac & cheese. The waffle was okay I wish it would've been more of a fluffy waffle. The chicken was okay too. A nice touch would've been powdered sugar on the waffle. The mac & cheese was not so great. Cheese was not melted and it seemed more of a box Mac & cheese with just cheesy liquid.

Sherri V.

Yelp
Everything was delicious! I loved the French toast, waffles, mimosas, fried potatoes, Mac n cheese!

Yelp
College Station may seem like it doesn't have a lot to offer but when I find places like Mess, I have hope for the city :) My boyfriend and I throughly enjoy this place each time we visit. The ONLY bad thing about this place is how small the space is :( It gets busy and packed quickly but there's not a lot of seating. How it works is: You order and pay at the counter and gamble that you'll have a seat open up or is open for you to sit once you finish ordering. They do have out door seating but that's very dependent on weather. I appreciate how they have sauces out for you to take whenever you need. their syrup comes out warm which is so soothing. Their food is all very delicious and worth the price. I actually would recommend Mess over other brunch houses.

Yelp
Jordan and I visited MESS with a couple of friends. Firstly, the location was easy to find. It's right there along with the other shops. You may or may not have to pay for parking. We visited the establishment on the weekend, so it was quite crowded. Because it was our first time, we asked our friends for recommendations. We ordered the Chicken & Waffles (Snack and Regular) with Maple Aioli. We subbed the Regular with Hot Chicken. Our friends ordered the Up, Cluck & Away and the Nutella Waffles, among other items. I personally didn't enjoy eating at MESS. My waffles (the Hot Chicken & Waffles Regular with Maple Aioli) were fairly soft. Meanwhile, Jordan's (the Chicken & Waffles Snack) was crispy. The Hot Chicken was also not spicy, which was something I expected from Hot Chicken and something the staff mentioned. As for Jordan, he really enjoyed his Chicken & Waffles Snack Size. The Nutella Waffles were pretty good and sweet, if that's something you'd enjoy for brunch. Overall, I haven't been willing to revisit but will one day in the near future. The taste of the food is a 3/5 for me, but because of how nice and attentive the staff members were, I'm giving the total a 4/5.

Allyson S.

Yelp
Best brunch restaurant in town. Not only is the food outstanding, the service is impeccable. The staff here go out of their way to make you feel welcomed into the restaurant. Today I was with my son who is 18 months. I asked if we could be seated in a booth to be more comfortable for him. They quickly cleaned a booth to accommodate us. The food was also outstanding. My husband got the birthday cake waffles and I had the Cajun Mac and cheese. This is by far my favorite Mac and cheese.

Belynda H.

Yelp
Maybe you need to have bougie taste buds to eat here. The food looks so wonderful but I'm just a normal southern woman and I was very unimpressed. I hate wasting money and wasting food and I feel like I did both here. (I even asked a neighboring table of new visitors and they agreed...so not just me). The potato bites taste like they are fried in fish grease, but they do not serve fish. And the syrup taste like it must be infused with something. The eggs were not cooked enough for me. We ate outdoors and that was very pleasant. The workers were nice and working efficiently. The beverage area was clean and plentiful. The bathrooms were clean but the hand dryer is not very efficient.

Mai-Lan B.

Yelp
You got to try Mess. I haven't had Mess in over two years since moving away and it was just as good. Thank goodness cause I talked it up to my friend, who had never been before. I remember when Mess was just a food truck on campus. We both had the chicken and waffles. The serving size was huge and filling. We were both stuffed to then brim. The aloi sauce is amazing, definitely get it on the chickens.

Aaron H.

Yelp
ONE WORD ... FUEGO!!! Small in space, big in FLAVOR! MESS itself is fairly small, however the goodness coming out of the kitchen was worth the wait. Ordering maybe took 15-20mins, however don't let the wait time discourage you. Decently priced, bang for your buck, MESS is a solid morning brunch vibe. With it being literally across the street from A&M, you'll wrestle with locals & college students for your place in line. Cookie Butter French Toast is huge, the Cookie Butter sauce sets this French toast off .. topped with strawberries & banana's it's definitely a must try. If passing through College Station add MESS to your list!

Klemens T.

Yelp
Came here for the first time with my wife. We ordered the chicken and waffles (huge and delicious especially with the sauces), nutella french toast (packed with diabetes goodness), and Anita's toast (almond butter, avocado, egg, and turkey bacon...doesn't look super delicious, but it is weirdly delicious). The staff is friendly and fast. He recommended everything we ordered and it was all delicious. Parking is huge, but you have to pay.

Aurora L.

Yelp
Very good! Love ordering at the counter and how it's kind of on the side of Century Square away from the thick of everything. Waffle was nice and lightly sweet. Chicken tenders are perfectly crisp and seasoned. Delicious maple aioli. Good service. I'll be back again!

Isabelle S.

Yelp
This place is very tasty! I ordered the snack chicken and waffles with the half portion of mac and cheese. My group went on a Saturday morning, so the line took about 30-40 minutes, as there were many groups coming in to have brunch as well. After you order though, the food comes out super fast. I will definitely try to come back at a less busy time, because I think the food would've tasted that much better without the wait. The inside was very nicely decorated, and didn't feel cramped despite how many people were waiting.

Jake H.

Yelp
MESS Waffles, Etc. generally has a long line to get into the small restaurant. A Thursday for lunch though is a good time to go. The Nutella waffle with banana was pretty good as was the Mess breakfast. I wasn't wowed by the food which is why 4 stars. Lots of hype for the place and it was good.

Tyson B.

Yelp
Upon a second return visit to MESS, one thing is evident- the location is incredibly popular to the point where once I got in line (sometime around 10:30 am), I only was able to sit down around 11:20 am. Granted, this was Labor Day, so it isn't unexpected for there to be a massive line on a holiday, but it is clear that if you arrive well after their opening time of 8 am on a Monday, you had better be prepared to wait. Consider bringing an umbrella to block the sun. Regardless, the service was still in full force and working tremendously hard, cleaning table, and attempting to get people in and seated as fast as possible. Around 11:35 I finally got my food (even on such a busy day- again, very rapid service.) and it was plated beautifully (pictured below). The Original French Toast was fried, in a word, perfectly, made with Challah bread instead of a more expected sort of white bread, which makes it so much more interesting, texture wise, rather than what is normally used. It was plated with delicious (seemingly) homemade whipped cream, strawberries, all finished off with an absolutely amazing maple syrup that pairs very well with the whipped cream. As a side note, I ordered fresh squeezed orange juice, which was absolutely fantastic and worth it, pairing wonderfully with the French toast and potato bites. Speaking of Potato bites, I actually got those in order to balance out the sweetness of the French toast, and it did that very well- and more. The outside has this fantastic and distinct crust, coming fresh out of the kitchen, firm and crunchy- like a much higher end hash brown. The insides were also seasoned, and tasted amazing- I wasn't expecting them to be anything special, and yet, MESS has proved me wrong once again. Overall, I can definitely say that this is the best French toast I have ever eaten, and I highly recommend ordering such if you ever come. I look forwards to coming back again sometime soon to try the Hot Chicken Sandwich. Thanks again MESS, you're definitely a staple here to stay!

Brandi R.

Yelp
I thought the fried chicken was delicious! Just how I like it. The breakfast potatoes are really great too.. almost like fried mashed potatoes.

Bethany F.

Yelp
I can't believe I haven't left a review yet! This is one of my fave spots in BCS. Never had a complaint! I've dined on the patio and ordered curbside pickup for yummy brunch at home. Packaged well and still yummy up to half an hour later. I'll keep it short and use this space to let folks know that the parking garage is where the free parking is. Don't be deterred by the paid spots up close. You probably need to walk a little before and after stuffing yourself with all the yummy goodness anyway.

Tracey Z.

Yelp
A College Station staple!! The line was very long but worth the wait. I love how many options they have here - waffles, french toast, mac and cheese, burgers, you can't really go wrong with anything. Also the prices are pretty affordable. Plus they are super accommodating with vegan options. The vegan mac and cheese was very tasty. Could not tell it was not real cheese at all. The apple pie waffle was so delicious, each bite was amazing. The waffle itself was crispy and the apples on top were cooked to perfection and the whipped cream only added to the depth. I also love how you can get things in snack size so you can try more options.

merica c.

Yelp
If I could do half a star I would. The lady that took our order (with a septum ring) and highlights did not take our order adequately. I ordered to replace my eggs for fruit, instead she replaced my potatoes for fruit. I did not want eggs. Then she added an additional item that we did not order. All you're paying for is really the location. You can get better food for better price elsewhere.

Reggie’s R.

Yelp
I ordered the mess breakfast. All of the food was cold and came on top of the waffle. Waffle was thin and crunchy. Eggs tasted like they were microwaved.

PAT S.

Yelp
Worse breakfast ever only 3 other tables eggs were cold sausage the size of my little finger save your money

Pat G.

Yelp
The line was too long and my wife and daughter did not want to wait ? But the menu looked great

Samantha H.

Yelp
Waffles were great... I am gluten free and they have an awesome selection of food. My husband had pancakes with ice cream and was in heaven. would eat there again without hesitation

Tiff K.

Yelp
My wife and I ordered different things so that we could share... I ordered the chicken & waffles and both were pretty good. My wife ordered the Mess Breakfast and everything except the waffle was GROSS! The eggs are purposely undercooked and they didn't use any seasoning- not even a grain of salt. The potato bites are weird when hot and nasty when room temp. The bacon was disgusting. I couldn't even finish chewing it; had to spit it out in a napkin. It tasted like they cooked it in old grease then left it sitting in the grease. Two stars because how does one screw up a basic breakfast??!! Waffle House is better than the hot MESS they serve!

Haylee S.

Yelp
I came here 3 times before actually trying it but decided not to stay because the lines were CRAZY. So be prepared to wait if you choose this place when it's during peak hours! I ordered the Cookie Butter Waffles and they were DELICIOUS. This place is hyped up a lot but the food was indeed really good and the long lines were the only con for me. Highly recommend when in CSTAT

Rey H.

Yelp
Whenever I'm in College Station I can never turn down the opportunity to have a great brunch at MESS Chicken and Waffles! I've had their breakfast, several times, and each time was never a disappointment! However, but I have been addicted to lately, was their Cajun chicken mac & cheese! I swear, I took that first bite and immediately fell in love! I'm telling you that stuff is so good I would slap my mother for another dish, well actually, I would slap that bitch for free, but that's another story! So, if you get a chance, sometime soon, get your tails into MESS chicken and waffles, I promise you won't be disappointed.

Deidre D.

Yelp
The food was delicious, a little crowded so there was a line and a wait. The chicken was darker than expected so I was thinking it was burnt, but when I tell you it was the perfect texture and so juicy!! Great job folks.

Missy G.

Yelp
This is a busy place but my son always wants us to go. The waffles are very good and their homemade sauce is great. Do I need to go every time in CSTAT, no, but he likes it.

Will C.

Yelp
As any TAMU or UT alum will tell you, the Bryan-College Station (BCS) area is very different from Austin in just about every respect, including food and culture. Mess, located in Century Square--the only place in College Station that charges for parking, at $2.50/hr--is probably the closest one will find to bougie brunch in BCS. Waffles, strawberries, and avocados abound on its menu. The egg sandwich here is cheekily described as, "with fried chicken add-on." It's not a terribly complex affair: brioche, scrambled eggs, cheddar cheese, carmelized onion confit, and some variation of creamy sirracha described as "Combeback Sauce." Honestly, I would've preferred to have paired this egg sandwich with their avocado mash, but this was my first time here and I felt compelled go with the Nashville Hot Fried Chicken. After some convincing on my part that, no really, I can handle heat, we went with the second-highest heat option for the Nashville Hot. The result was a large and overly fulfilling sandwich. The chicken breast had plenty of kick to it--a bit more vinegary than I expected--and was juicy and moist. The soft scrambled eggs soaked up a lot of the heat, as did my bottle of Topo Chico. It would not be my normal order if I visited Mess regularly, but as far as exercises in excess go, this was pretty good. Combined with the considerate service--thanks to the staff for tolerating my request to shoot the sandwich and wrap it up to go--I'd definitely visit frequently if I could. Just make sure that you go with friend(s) so you can split the cost of the absolutely extortionary parking fees. There's no way to avoid the parking when going to Mess unfortunately, which is why I've lowered it to 4-stars.

Deya Z.

Yelp
Decent fast casual breakfast place near the campus. Based solely on the food photos, you might assume this is a nicer casual breakfast place but you order in line and then make your way to your table. When we first came to CS from out of town, this caught me off guard/by surprise as I was hoping to find a bit more upscale brunch place. This isn't it. BUT it is a decent breakfast place. Its clearly a place that students love & you'll often find the line out the door! The chicken and waffles were a bit overcooked during my visit but hubs loved his waffle plate. Are there better CnW's out there? Yes. Are you going to find them in CSB? Maybe. Is this a decent place to eat? Yes, when the students are out of town :)

Rhema A.

Yelp
All the food ordered was very delicious! My coffee was a bit weak but other than that the entire experience was very enjoyable. We got the Nutella French toast (amazing albeit extremely sweet!), the parfait (so cute and delicious yogurt and granola), the kids had the pb&j waffle and they absolutely loved it. Overall a wonderful and delicious experience.

Tim L.

Yelp
We popped in this fast casual waffle restaurant early, and I can't believe no one else is doing this. The portions were massive and the tenders were crispy and well seasoned. I ordered the cookie butter and salted caramel waffles and a side of tenders and it was so cheap that I felt like I was ripping them off. I honestly didn't realize the portion would be so massive or I would have just split it with my girlfriend. The waffles were crispy on the outside and oh so fluffy on the inside and absolutely smothered with cookie butter, salted caramel, and syrup. Definitely sent me on a sugar rush but in the most delicious way possible. I was completely stuffed all day and by the time I remembered to eat next it was already 6pm. Will definitely be back and hope to get one of these in Austin soon!

Yelp
Absolutely stoked I found this awesome place on the way home to FortWorth. Really nice people and very creative menu. The waffle and chicken were flawless but the potatoes were just scrumptiously delicious . Maple aioli sauce... seriously! Diet broken, worth it

Yelp
Food was amazing and service was great as well. I'm not a fan of the assigned seating as we would have preferred to sit elsewhere due to my son having autism but the line was too long to try to make that happen while keeping him occupied. I had the best waffle or my life. Bacon was really good and service was quick enough. Great place for a late morning Sunday breakfast! *Another suggestion: find a way to make cream and sugar for coffee more accessible. 2 packets isn't enough for me and waiting for servers to bring more is unnecessary.

Yelp
Stop in for a quick bite. Decided to sit outside since it was still a cool morning a little too chilly for me inside. Food came out quick, coffee was good, they only have regular creamer and sugar, so don't expect delight. If it's the summer months you may want to consider eating inside the flies almost drank my coffee and ate my food. Chicken was flavorful and the aioli sauce was pretty good, should have gotten syrup though because the waffle was light and fluffy. Meal was good for a quick breakfast and I was satisfied. Cashier was very friendly and attentive. Thank you!

Yelp
The food is absolutely delicious! I waited about 50 minutes in line and about 10 minutes for the food. The sunset mimosa is so good, I just wish they were in bigger glasses. There was only one person taking orders, which I'm sure is why the wait time is so long. Be sure to have a table number in mind before u order because u have to tell them where you're going to sit. There is no wait staff, this is basically the same principle as a food restaurant. Also, make sure to order all the beverages u want because you'll have to get back in line again. Overall, I'll be back.

Yelp
Food is good. Make sure you don't leave your food unattended- even to get a drink refill- because due to their limited space, they're quick to clear tables and your food will be gone when you return. Most employees are friendly. Long lines- tends to stretch around outside- but it usually moves quickly. May have to wait for a place to sit though.

Yelp
If you're looking for a great place to have breakfast, try this one. I love the waffles, eggs, and sausage. Try the chicken sandwich for a real treat.

Yelp
Wow!!! You have to try this cute place out. Quick service and amazing chicken and waffles. My kids had the cookie butter waffles, I had the mess breakfast , my husband had the chicken and waffles. So delicious and thankfully we got here before the line formed out the door. Don't let the line Deter you from coming in though they're so fast.

Yelp
MESS is one f my favorite College Statio restaurants and OGs remember it as the food truck parked on campus every week back in 2014. When I was a freshman, I think I got chicken and waffles from MESS at least once a week so when they finally got a brick and mortar location, I was pumped. Literally, everything on the menu is great, but I stick to the classic chicken and waffles with maple syrup. The combo just can't be beaten and MESS has perfected their recipe.

Yelp
Amazing breakfast foods! The French toast was amazing. My boyfriend got the chicken tenders and that was probably the juiciest tender I've ever had. Everything was great, including the environment. Only thing I wouldn't recommend is the iced coffee. It Was really watered down but I'd have to try it again to be sure it wasn't just that time. It's one of my new favorite spots to grab a bite!

Yelp
The display of the food was beautiful and the chicken and waffles were pretty good. I would not recommend getting the Nutella French Toast though. Although it looked very pretty, it wasn't much of french toast at all. It was more like a thick cut of french bread with a bunch of whipped cream, Nutella, strawberries, and bananas on it. It wasn't like it tasted bad, but it just wasn't what I was expecting and wasn't much of a french toast. For the price point of the food, I was expecting a bit more. I have heard good things about this place though, so I may have to come back and try something else!
