The place is really cute, they have tables inside and they atmosphere is really cozy also very good music We got a couple pastries and they were pretty good but my favorite was the Carlota cake, it was mind blowing and the reason I will be back ( they have a section of cakes kind of hidden on the side). The line can get pretty long but it's worth the wait. They are pretty fast once they take your oder I wasn't really impressed by the coffee we got the Spanish Latte one iced and one hot and didn't have much flavor

Google
Beautiful cafe with a lot of pastries options. They weren’t completely full because I came 45 minutes before closing but still a great amount of pastries to choose from. I got the Spanish iced latte and it was a beautiful blend of cinnamon and coffee with condensed milk. I also purchased a slice of carrot cake. Amazing flavor with the crunch of walnuts paired with the light cinnamon cream it’s frosted in. I also recommend the wedding cookie. A very soft and delicate cookie tossed in powdered sugar. Highly recommend and will be coming back!

Google
Delicious baked goods and coffee. It’s fun to see the bakers rolling up the dough and putting everything together themselves. Lovely vibes and overall a great place to sip on some latte and chat with friends or listen to music. Favorite beverage: Spanish latte

Google
My friend and I decided to check this place out after we’d seen it on Instagram. The place is cute. Very open air with a few tables on the inside and some outside. A good place to work or study with a slew of coffee and non caffeinated drink options. I got the jalapeño and turkey cheese croissant and a iced Mexican chocolate with oat milk. Both were good just little a little more oomph to make them better but other than that I am looking to be back

Google
Mestiza Coffeehouse is a charming café that serves cakes and pastries and also sells plants, candles, and handmade jewelry, giving it a cozy boutique vibe. I ordered a decaf Spanish latte with almond milk, and it was smooth and delicious. A cute spot to relax, sip coffee, and browse their unique items!

Google
I got the famous iced Spanish latte. The taste is amazing—it has a nice creaminess to it paired with the slight coffee flavor—but it is SO sugary. I asked for half sugar and it was still so sweet! Be prepared! They did give me another free latte because they messed up my first order even though they were closing! All the servers were so accommodating.

Google
Based off my experience coming in 40 minutes before they closed, I was in awe of the ice drip coffee experiment that they had going on. Their menu is pretty well written as they accomdate with different teas or for people who don't like coffee. I enjoyed the bread that was available, I recommend the jalapeno bagel and cream cheese was offered as a side. I would come back here again I enjoyed my coffee, I got the xoco iced latte and the iced mango tea.

Google
A great find! So many food and beverage choices. Love that baked goods are made in house, that there is just one barista rocking out drinks. Love that each drink is labeled. Only issue is they missed a milk alternative customization.

Yelp
tried this place out yesterday & the spanish latte was so good. I tried their jalapeño bread and the strawberry croissant. It was so good, i would come back to try the others. The ambience was super chill and i loved the decor inside!

Yelp
This place is so aesthetic inside and their pastries were really good. I had the Bees & Flowers iced coffee, the name is adorable I couldn't resist. I really wanted a particular plant that they sold (I think it's awesome they do that btw). But I can't keep them alive so I didn't impulsively buy it

Yelp
Where to begin? From the amazing AC, to the welcoming smile, to the vibes being secured almost immediately, to the Clairo playing and to my favorite Beach House starting as Jackie O. approached us with some pastries as it was our first visit. Give the woman a raise, a promotion, and some PTO because she's building the business one vibe check at a time. The Americano balanced sour and bitter the small ice let the sip run free. Come down and support local coffee that makes you feel like a local. Cheers!

Yelp
Could this place be BETTER than Porto's?!! Just loved this cute coffee shop and bakery. Did the line and ordered a ham and cheese jalapeño and guava and cheese (both warmed). They were both amazing! Such fresh baked goodness!!! They had lots of cheese and I can see how these things can be addictive. To drink ordered an iced Spanish latte. It was fun to try, basically a latte version of Mexican hot chocolate. Will try their cortado next time. SUGGESTIONS FOR IMPROVEMENT: 1 - open EARLIER! Don't people in Ontario, CA need their coffee fix before 8am? 2 - if I order the food to eat here, put it on a PLATE, not inside a bag. Only saw bags and a plate would have been nice 3 - offer 2% milk for the drinks, not just whole milk. Still can't wait to come back!!!

Yelp
Stopped by here for some breakfast goodies after dropping off my BFF at ONT airport. It's located in the historical Frankish building, and was probably a bank building of some sort in the past. When you walk it, it's so cute and feels like a garden greenhouse. You can see the kitchen behind the counter so you know everything is made in house. Lots of beautiful pastries were on display, and I didn't know until later, that around the corner from the cashier is another display full of beautiful cakes - whole and by the slice! I love the speciality drinks they offer, there was so much to choose from (pumpkin chai cheesecake and XOCO Cheesecake?!?! WOW!), but I decided on the Spanish Latte. I sampled several of the pastries when I got home and OMG they are all soo good. Definitely rivals my favorite French bakery. The Spanish latte was also excellent! Now I kind of wish I picked up a cake slice to try too! I'm sure they would all be delicious as well. Saw several Ontario police here picking up food also. If it's good enough for our men & women in blue, it's good enough for me too! Parking available on the street or try your luck in the lot behind the building.

Yelp
Love Mestiza! This is a great coffeehouse, serving more than just coffee. Easy to locate, just off Euclid Ave., passing Holt Blvd. Plenty of parking nearby. This place came highly recommended by my mom and sister, so I brought my sister and kids along with me. The Spanish Latte is highly recommended and is considered most popular by the staff, so I got that iced. They have 2 pastry displays that looked AMAZING! I wish I could have tried every single item. Instead I opted for 2 chocolate chip cookies, the strawberry Nutella pastry, and the jalapeño cream cheese stuffed brioche. The staff offered the option to have everything warmed up and it really made these treats so good! My kids being with me, there was plenty other drink options for them, like apple juice, milk, water, etc. I got them chocolate milk and a bottled water for my post-coffee drink. Everything came in just under $30, which I felt was a reasonable price for the quantity and quality of everything I got. The Spanish Latte was very, very delicious. A bit on the sweeter side, but that's how I like my latte. If you prefer a more bold flavor, I would recommend to modify your level of sweetness. If there was any criticism I could make, it would be the boldness of the espresso. That could just be because I'm used to having strong coffee, like Café Bustelo and dark French roast. But my preference does not negate that the coffee here really is good. My favorite part of this entire visit was the shop itself. It's cute, it's hip. Mestiza IS that girl. The culture of a good cafecito and something sweet (or savory) is an experience by itself. Definitely recommend!

Yelp
When the line is about a fifteen minute wait... you know you're in the right place. Came here on a Tuesday morning at 1030 am- packed! Service: service was quick Food: ordered a strawberry nutella Danish- my favorite and worth every cellulite simple! Ambiance: loud and full of people. Our go to spot for a morning treat.

Yelp
Walked in and the cafe was so cute and had lots of sitting space to offer. Great spot to study or get some work done while getting a nice coffee + pastry. They seem to have a full service bakery which showcased lots of delicious looking treats, def will come back to try! This time around we grabbed a latte with coconut + macadamia and almond milk (I forgot the name of the actual drink) but it was SO good! I'm sure the rest of their selection is just as fab.

Yelp
Great vibes, lots of options. The high ceilings add to the mood. There's plenty of seating even outside. It can get crowded. I tried their alfajores and it was divine. A little on the sweet side but it wouldn't be an alfajores if it wasn't. I liked the French Vanilla coffee with heavy cream- it was definitely something that once I grew accustomed to, I found that I really loved. Come for the breakfast food and coffees, bring a friend and gab over pastries. It's an exciting addition to downtown Ontario.

Yelp
I've been here many times. They are truly consistent and nice! The peanut butter cookie is delicious. We also had the mixed berry tart which has delicious cream. Baristas are truly skilled!

Yelp
After months of social media post about this place, I finally found myself just eight minutes away. My visit was on a Sunday around lunchtime and the line was full. That gave me time to take in the atmosphere. There are fresh plants everywhere with Venmo tags sort of like a grab and go for anyone who has an addiction to indoor plants like I do. The line gives a good view of behind the bar in the kitchen where they were consistently prepping, baked goods and fresh sandwiches for the day. The menu of both food and drinks is expensive and it's really hard to choose just one thing. For us we chose a Spanish latte as suggested by my barista for a first time visit drink. We also chose a turkey Panini and a ham and cheese jalapeño croissant. The obvious ad of a chocolate chip cookie just to keep around it out grab of everything on the menu. The Spanish latte was a first for me. I'm not big on cinnamon, and this is full of it. But it was absolutely delicious. It wasn't overly sweet. The cinnamon didn't overpower it. It was quite perfect. The Panini was packed with turkey, the bread was crunchy, but soft; and the nut less pesto was a big hit with me. I'd love to tell you about the croissant, but my husband ate it too fast. I cannot wait to visit again, hopefully not on a weekend day. I'd like to experience it in a slower atmosphere.

Yelp
Found this spot on Yelp and had to give it a try. But, man! This place is famous or something. It was packed by 9 am. Limited parking on the street but there public parking nearby. The line was at the door and the wait was a little long but worth it. Their food is tasty and amazing. Their drinks are made to perfection, you can even buy house plants too! Ordered: Blended Mocha Blended Vanilla Jalapeño Turkey and Cheese Jalapeño Ham and Cheese Chocolate Chip Cookie Only issue was finding parking but that's no fault to the business.
google avatar

Yelp
The jalapeño, cheese & ham croissant was so damn good! Unfortunately my coffee was not, but I'm willing to go back and try something different. My Xoco latte tasted very bad, It had a strange flavor and a tap water after taste. However, my husband ordered a cappuccino and that was really good! The location is really nice! The staff was also pleasant. Their baked goods really set them apart, prior to coming here I didn't know they baked all their goods in house.
google avatar

Yelp
Great experience, good vibe, good coffee, I had a pesto panini, my husband had pastry, we both enjoyed it and will be returning

Yelp
We could bring our dogs inside! He had the Xoco Latte, and I had the Xoco Cheesecake. Both delicious. The cream top was thick!! I loveeeeddd it but I did wish I mixed it all together first. My first few sips were all foam. Place is cute and the service was good. No complaints. The one thing that I wasn't a fan of: parking. It's street parking and a small lot. When it gets busy, it's no bueno.

Yelp

Yelp
The coffee and berry treat I got was good. Based on other reviews, when I made my order I requested I drink and eat at the establishment and requested latte art and even tipped extra than normal as the cashier told me that's what I would get. Both my items came in to go cup and plastic container. The place is cute and line out the door.

Yelp
Went on a Sunday which probably wasn't the best idea as I walked in to a line wrapped around- but honestly , the ambiance makes it so inviting. There's a lot to look at. There's plants all around & most of them are for sale, beautiful art work & various pastries and cakes to look at & seating options. I had a toddler with me who wanted "coffee" like mom, so thankfully they have a kid friendly option of chocolate milk. As far as the wait goes, the line didn't take too long & the drinks didn't either, my pastry did which I thought was strange because it was ready in the glass display - I think they have different ppl assigned to pastries / food vs drinks- so I waited 5-10 after getting my drink for a cold pastry. This could be worked on. I ordered the ALOHA iced latte w/ Oatmilk & the fruit / crème pastry. It was refreshing. There is indoor seating, and outdoor. Overall , the environment was so cute and its perf for a little meet- up with a friend

Yelp
Tried the caramel latte. It was okay, but too sweet. The caramel overpowered the coffee. The place has a nice atmosphere. Prices are fair.

Yelp
The coffee is so good and love the service provided, I recommend everyone to enjoy coffee and dessert.

Yelp
Got met with a bit of a tude' from the older lady taking orders. It finally became my turn to order and she had me wait as she gathered pastries and other orders for other patrons. Ok I can wait no problem, but after waiting in line 10 minutes then being told to wait again when it became my turn to order perturbed me. If you're in any kind of hurry avoid this place. They need to open another register or hire more help. We live in a fast paced society (not always a good thing I'll admit) and I'm not sure this place is worth the wait anymore.

Yelp
Wow, adding this to my list of favorite coffee shops. Stumbled in here this morning to finish some homework before a meeting I had in Ontario at noon, yelped nearby shops and ended up here. Beautiful shop, felt very bright and welcoming decor and ambiance wise. Ordered the iced Spanish latte with oat milk and originally wanted an everything bagel but they were sold out for the day (probably delicious) so I ended up with the ham and cheese croissant and I still can't believe how good it was. Definitely one of the yummier pastries at a coffee shop I've had, which probably why this shop was so good to me today! They have a big selection of croissant flavors to choose from. Got there a little past 9 and wasn't a line just one group before me however as the hours past and just before noon they definitely got busy! highly recommend trying this place and look forward to returning.

Yelp
Cozy little coffee shop in Downtown Ontario. There is a 2 hour parking lot across the street with very limited spots. Otherwise, it's street parking. They offer a great variety of coffee drinks, food, and pastries. I was excited to try their Cajeta Latte but sadly they were out so I opted for their Spanish Latte and a Turkey and Cheese Croissant. The Spanish Latte was solid! Perfect coffee to sweetness ratio with a hint of cinnamon on top. I'll definitely have to come back and try some other drinks.

Yelp
Great pastries, fast service! The inside is okay as well! People were buying their cakes so would def try to get a cake next time :)) The ham and cheese was great, the strawberry croissants was super yummy!!!
google avatar

Yelp
I got an almond milk latte and it was probably the best latte I've had all year. I don't even know what made it so good. but it was good. They also have these "crispy churros" which feels like it's filo with sugar and cinnamon. I could have eaten like, 5 of these.

Yelp
11/27/24 What can I say, I fell head over heels for the HYPE!!! And it's effin' TRUE!! I wish I could've stayed longer to fully experience this coffee & bake shop. Based off my encounter with Marisela at the counter, I will definitely be back. The energy & vibe here is eclectic, fun & warm. LOVE it. Parking is a bit sketchy & limited but I was so eager to come in & try this place, I just left as Hubby did a "vulture" (that's what we call it when we are looking for some thing--as in an opportunity to snag what we want, in this case it was a parking space- lol). Service is prompt, friendly & warm-shout out to Marisela as she she described to me what a Cajeta Latte is about-made with goat's milk, which is bound to be ultra creamy & rich but may not agree with my lactose intolerance hahaha. So I opted for a vanilla latte with oat milk, it's an extra $1.25 for the alternative milk--pricey! My beverage was ready in no time--delicious! But as one reviewer mentioned, it was warm, not hot. I requested it to be warmed & she happily obliged--easy & friendly fix! Yum! I have to return!! The pastries & other savory treats await!!

Yelp
Coffee and pastries are 10/10. Knocked off a star because of the wait times. One cashier and I think one expresso machine. It usually takes us 30 min. Or more to get our order. Def come here with some extra time, place gets packed! Customer service is okay.
google avatar

Maggie C.

Yelp
My favorite coffee shop in the IE! I believe it's women owned and the space is beautiful. Pastries are made in-house and aren't too sweet. Their Spanish latte is so darn good -- I'd highly recommend this drink. When we visited, they had a toy drive and a lot of the merch was based on a honor system where you pay the vendor directly thru a QR code. Vendors were all local too so props to them for supporting local and small businesses. The line can be a little slow on weekends but trust it's worth it
google avatar

Carla L.

Yelp
I had been dying to try this coffee shop out, definitely did not disappoint! Parking can be a little tricky but there is a 2 hour parking lot right across the street from the coffee shop. I walked in on a saturday morning around 11am , it was pretty busy but i was in and out within 15 mins, which is not bad for a coffee shop on a saturday morning. The service was very efficient. There's one person taking your pastry order, another your coffee order, and about 3 baristas. I had a spanish iced latte and to my surprise was very good. Is usually don't go for sweet drinks, but this was a good balance. I would say that if you enjoy coffee forward , you ask them for half sweet. I also had a fruit tart, the fruit was very fresh and you can tell the bread was made that morning! Overall a great experience!

Yelp
Drink: Iced Vanilla Cafe con Leche: 7/10 Nothing too fancy or memorable but it was sweet and the coffee flavor was strong. Food: They offer so many pastries, definitely get some if you're here! Crispy Churro: 6/10 Honestly it felt a bit dry and it was very flaky. Bread pudding: 9/10 My favorite thing that I got from this visit. All their pastries are very affordable and this was just amazing. It was so soft and full of flavor, very tasty. Service: average The staff seemed sweet but I didn't really interact with them Ambiance: 8/10 I think they had some music playing but it's brightly light inside and there's a lot of natural lighting. They had a lot of cute seasonal decor and quite a lot of seating for customers, both inside and outside. Restroom: 8/10 Clean! Although I don't live in this area, I feel like this is such a great and valuable store for the community. They also sell products from Mexican businesses :)

Yelp
This place is a vibe and I'd return. We tried a Spanish latte as well as a berry oat cold brew. Both delicious. I loved the decor and the theme of the place is very fitting. The outdoor seating is chill and a nice place to relax. Indoor seating is perfect for getting work done as they have plug outlets. Plenty of food items, both savory and sweet. I'd like to try a few baked goods next time I'm in the area. Gender neutral single stall restroom.

Yelp
Caramel iced coffee is so good and it pairs perfectly with the guava cheese pastry. Very relaxed ambiance and I love the real plants for sale.
google avatar

Myrna T.

Yelp
Charming coffee shop with friendly atmosphere. I got spanish coffee and spinach artichoke roll, and they were yummy. You know the pastries are out of this world when you can see them making it in front of you. Coffee has a perfect touch of sweetness and the pastry was just perfect. Missing star is for parking, it was kindda hard to find parking.

Yelp
I visited Mestiza Coffeehouse in Ontario and ordered an iced Spanish latte and an almond croissant. Both were really good -- the latte was smooth and flavorful, and the croissant was fresh and tasty. The atmosphere was nice too. However, the service was noticeably slow. I ended up waiting 34 minutes just for my coffee to be made. The workers seemed to be moving at a very slow pace, and the woman preparing the drinks was calling out names so quietly that it was hard for anyone to hear when their order was ready. It created a bit of confusion and frustration for several customers. Overall, the drinks and food were great, but the service could definitely use some improvement. Hopefully things run a bit more smoothly next time. 3/5 due to the long wait for waiting for a coffee.... Other than that everything is 5/5
google avatar

Rox P.

Yelp
I was the area and looked for a local coffee shop to try with a friend. They had a large selection of bakery goods but I was disappointed they didn't have any plant based / vegan options I definitely would have bought a pastry if they did. The latte was delicious and I was surprised buy the cute latte art cat.
google avatar

Arielle H.

Yelp
The beauty of the pastry case will make you want to eat everything! This coffee shop is bright and inviting. There's often a long line, but it moves fairly quickly. I ordered the Spanish latte, cheddar and bacon roll, and ham and cheese croissant. The Spanish latte was on the sweeter side for my liking. It was good, but I would order less sweetness next time. The ham and cheese croissant was filling, but oily. We were not a fan of the cheddar and bacon roll because the bread was sweet and we were expecting salty.
google avatar

Annie M.

Yelp
10/10 they have it all! Coffee and baked goodies daily! This place is packed daily. Arrive with time and be ready to look for parking it's crazy busy and it's a small parking lot and street parking. Not too much space to work out of the coffee shop and it's always full. So arrive early to set up if you plan to connect and work out of this shop. Corner location and overall set up is adorable! I'll be back to try more things. Tip: Pretty little pup the dog groomer is next door. If you have a dog have them enjoy a spa day and grab a snack and coffee while you wait! Bingo a double a win!

Yelp
pleasant surprise. did not know this place existed. its on the same street where the post office is. little below Holt on Euclid. this place so busy on Saturday morning at 10 am. my mom and I walked in and both inside and outside was packed. we waited in line to order and they have good selection of coffees and pastries to order from. we had lunch plans so we didn't want to order too much so we ordered their house coffee with churro, jalepeno ham croissant and strawberry croissant. jalepeno ham croissant was delicious. i loved that their croissant was not super salty. churro was crispy and super cinnamony. strawberry croissant was just the rjght amount of sweetness. strawberry was sweet too and croissant was good but more bread like consistency versus super crispy. definitely will visit again but parking can get little hectic. you have to park on the street or parking lot next to the building but it gets pretty busy.

Yelp
such a cute cafe spot saw it on tiktok, went to try it and i do recommend it. Service was great when you are a first timer pastries were really good, wanted to try the strawberry croissant but they didn't have any more but the cheese danish croissant looked good and tasted good

Yelp
Visited on a Sunday and the place itself is really nice -- clean, with both indoor and outdoor seating, and great aesthetics throughout. There were only a couple of people in line, so the wait wasn't bad. However, the customer service left a bit to be desired. The cashier wasn't very welcoming. I asked a simple question about whether the pesto turkey sandwich had cheese, and she seemed unsure -- which was surprising. The sandwich was $14.50 yikes, which felt a bit steep. I also tried a cold brew that was just okay. Might give it another try in the future, but hoping for a warmer welcome next time around.

Yelp
I'm not a coffee snob, but now I'm obsessed with the coffee here! My friend recommended this place to catch up. I love the soothing wall color and all the plants throughout the cafe. I ordered a small, hot Spanish Latte (decaf) with oat milk with a red velvet cookie for $9.25. This drink was sooo delicious I should have ordered a larger size! I'm so happy my friend recommended this cute establishment.
google avatar

Yelp
This place was so cute!!! The Spanish latte was nicely strong, and they had such a great selection of desserts and food. Can't wait to go back and try some of their cakes:)

Yelp
This was a Google find. I was in the area and wanted coffee and pastries. This place came up with great reviews. It's located off Euclid in the corner. The building has so much history. The parking was confusing. It's across the street but you would not know it until after you drive by. There was street parking but they were all taken. I would not say that there's plenty of seating. The place is quite small actually. Also, 2 hours before closing and most of the pastries were gone. I got the last alfujares and it was amazing! 2 cookies sandwiched with caramel. Wow! 5/5 The reason why I docked a star was because I got the seasonal loveyou latte. It was sweet. It was good. I really would've loved a latte art, like a heart?! I saw pictures of a bear latte art. I'm sure a heart would be easy to do! I asked the nice cashier and he said he didn't know. I opened my lid and all I got was smudges, no latte art. Besides that, I love this place!

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday morning (10ish) and it was packed. They have so many pastry and breakfast options. I had the cheddar jalapeño bagel and it was perfect. The bagel was soft and the jalapeño & cheddar gave it great flavor. The latte was way too sweet for me. I asked for it 50% sweet but I'm not sure I got that. Because it was so busy it took about 25 minutes to get our coffee, luckily there is lots of seating and the food items came out quicker.

Yelp
This morning, I was the third customer in line. Placed my order and waited. 10-15mins went by and I noticed many orders, which were placed after me, were being handed out. It was frustrating, so I kindly asked for a refund. The manager on duty, did not ask me the reason nor did he extend an APOLOGY. The refund was processed and I went on my way. Mind you, I only asked for a refund on my coffee (which wasn't even made yet); I kept the ham&cheese which was given to me promptly. Will not be returning to an establishment who is managed by someone whose first instinct is NOT to empathize with their customers.

Yelp
What a lovely coffee shop in Downtown Ontario! Ordered the Aloha latte with oat milk (no cost for milk substitutions) and it was so delicious! Unique specialty menu with seasonal flavors as well. Their pastries are made in-house, which made my experience even more cozy. There's limited seats but once you have a spot, it's a great place to get some work done. Will definitely be re-visiting.

Yelp
We swung around looking for the nearest coffee shop to get our caffeine fix and managed to stumble into Mestiza. With the large industrial-looking open baking area, the space itself is more about substance over spectacle but make no mistake. The plethora of baked goods and pastries lining the display cases is more than enough eye candy, and they are just as tasty as they look. Highly recommend getting any of the croissant or puff pastry-based desserts. The drinks are pretty great as well with a few of them having a Hispanic spin. The service was awesome, and I even got to try a complimentary experimental dessert coming straight from their test kitchen. I don't know if you'll find a better coffee shop in Ontario.

This place is small inside but does have outside sitting area. It was about 2 PM and not a lot of choices left. My ice latte had too much cinnamon and not flavorful. My sandwich was a bit pricey and very messy. I saw this place on TikTok so I wanted to visit at least one time for my own experience. Lastly, as a paying customer I wanted to use the restroom but didn't due to it being so dirty.
