Mesures - Review - Le Marais - Paris - The Infatuation
"Mesures is somewhere between a bistro and a bar, and staff and DJs spin vinyl records since it’s inspired by a Japanese jazz kissa. You’ll drink in an elegant setting of dark wood and marble, ideally suited to a menu of spirit-forward cocktails with Asian influences, like a gin martini infused with sake. This influence continues into the food menu, where French ingredients fuse with subtle Japanese flavors, like a grilled fish in a umeboshi vinegrette. Stop by for a boozy lunch, or come after work to drink and enjoy a soundtrack curated by a guest DJ." - Tanisha Townsend
Welcome to another somewhat no BS bsr review of mine.
I got this bar as a recommendation by the head of shift at Bar nouveau (go check them out) and have to say this is for now in my top 3 bars i have ever visited.
It’s a Japanese jazz bar with real music records playing which are mixed right on the spot by the owner and bartender.
The service was lovely and attentive and it shows that this is the owner’s true craft.
The cocktail recipes were out of this world and tasted on point. Broad sake inventory and mixed into cocktails as well. Together with some tasty bites and smooth jazz music playing in the background i almost shed a tear of happiness. I felt alive and more euphoric as ever.
This place touched something in me and is easily among the top 50 best bars in Europe.
I would love to be able to eat real japanese Sando here even though the hotdog was nice by itself.

This bar has soul and left good memories on me, a beautiful experience, the incredible music, the food, and the sensational cocktails. Highly recommended by all the bartenders I've enjoyed drinking with in the city.

Lovely and cozy vibes. Packed even on a Monday night. I started with a Caddy for Daddy, which was delicious and smoky. Then, I had a Coconut Woman which had such a unique flavor and included a scoop of ice cream that the bartender advised me to take a bite of after every sip. Would love to return for more drinks!

This bar is unbelievably fantastic! I say that because I have had a lot of outstanding cocktails by serious bartenders the world over… the Naima absolutely blew my mind! Perfection in a glass. Don’t ask what’s in it, if they serve food (heard from another diner it was great) or even whether you have a date to go with. Just literally RUN to this bar to sample something truly special. Vibes with the records, and the approach to service were also stellar. Can’t wait to go back on the next trip to Paris!! Merci!!

Really fun night! The cocktails are very creative and fun. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the ambience is really cool. I would just avoid going there on a Tuesday because the glass recycling is collected on that day, and so it makes a very loud noise and it’s not that pleasant if you’re seating outside. But this isn’t something you can control! Other than that this bar is perfect :)

Stumbled upon this vinyl jazz bar after our dinner. Favouring Japanese flavours. Extensive cocktails, impressively crafted & served by the owner himself. We just had one each… definitely need to return for more.

Incredible cocktail bar: impeccable service, very tasty special cocktails (14€ a piece - try the ones with Saké!) and incredible atmosphere (great jazz music, cozy interior). Will definitely come back!
